We had a surprise transmission issue on our 2017 Chevrolet ice cream truck. Called and Mr. William got us right in and got our truck torn down and built back in working order in 2 days. I spoke with a guy named Jeff who turned out to be the owner. Jeff Holt set up a tow for me because I was afraid to drive my car due to a puddle of fluid under my car which I thought was transmission fluid. Holt transmission thoroughly inspected my car and found a cracked oil pan. The crew ordered and installed the new pan and gasket put in fresh oil and a filter. I was good to go the next day. A Plus rating for Jeff Holt transmission and auto repairs. Jeffs prices were great and hes a very personable guy. I found my new auto service establishment!!!!

This was the first time we used them, but definitely will not be the last. These guys were great to deal with and repaired my car at a good, honest price. I would recommend them to anyone who needs repairs. As far as my husband and I are concerned, they have gained a customer for life.

We recently got a dreaded diagnosis on our vehicle and our stomachs sank. It was looking like it could have been a transmission issue so the repair place we were currently at prepared us for the worst but recommended Holt Transmission. We quickly took our car there and Will worked with us and our warranty company in an amazing way and we ended up with a result that was better than anything we could have ever anticipated!!! We went into it thinking we might be shelling out thousands, and in the end, Will and Holt Transmission saved us for an unbelievable and unbeatable price (and he was very patient with us calling and checking on it often). I cant recommend them enough.

Asked for an estimate. Jeff holt gets in my face and lies that the filter on a 4l60e does not need to be changed and topping off the fluid causes trans. failure. Total lie; GM service schedule is 30k-50k miles- filter replacement and 5 quarts of fluid. Nothing more. Nothing less. Kept getting in my face. I step away ignoring it, but gets in my face again and lies his truck trans has 390k and zero service done to it. His mechanic lied to me telling me my fluid was burnt (its not) and dust on my wires was from arching plug wires they need replacement.they dont (3 year old Denso premium wires ) its just dust.This shop is seriously sketchy...

Im amazed at the honesty and level of professionalism. I was called back fast and given a very informative breakdown on a question I had about my transmission. I feel like anywhere else they wouldve dragged me in with very little explanation and charged for a service that most likely wouldnt have helped in the first place. Needless to say, I know where Ill go should I need to have any work done. Thanks William!

The mechanic that inspected my car was RIGHT ON with diagnosis and estimate. I received a call midway through the repairs of the status of the repair and again when the work was completed. There were no extra add on charges on my bill. The mechanic took great care to put a floor mat on my drivers floor and when I picked the car up it was clean just as I gave it to them. Brought (rather had it towed...) My Civic SI in for a dead clutch. They arranged the tow truck (within the hour on site) and brought it to their shop. Work to be accomplished was discussed on site (deep diagnosis not really necessary in this case) and left them to it. Was updated every morning on the status of whats going on. Fairly priced (I paid about what I expected to pay) and friendly service.

They diagnosed my transmission issues for free. Friendly staff. Im still waiting for them to call me back for the follow up to move forward with fixing the problem.

I went here under the impression I needed a brand new transmission. The owner checked out my car for free. Assured me with every thing he has that he is unsure why my car is doing what it’s doing, but it isn’t my transmission. I went to my shop and finally figured it out. But he could’ve easily gotten me for big money, but he wasn’t that kinda guy and I thoroughly appreciate that. Great service, very professional, quick, and honest!

Holt transmission did great work on our Cavalier. They were direct with their estimate and kept us informed while conducting their diagnosis. Unfortunately our clutch required replacement. With a full lot of work, we were still out in a reasonable time and the cost was on the low end of area estimates. We drove our Cavalier around for a week prior to posting and are very satisfied. My wife and I would recommend their work.

The transmission went on my son’s car as he was travelling home from Florida to NYState.Holt’s diagnosed the problem and gave us the bad news, it wasn’t worth the cost to fix it. While we were coordinating getting the car sold for salvage long distance from NY, Holt’s were totally accommodating and understanding of our difficult situation. It is rewarding to know there are folks like those at Holts to do business with. I would recommend this shop to anyone that asks. They get 5 stars from me. Thank you.

Dropped the Jeep off to verify that the front transmission seal was leaking . I tried to describe the problem and asked if he could top off the transmission with gear oil and we would make arrangements to have the seals replaced and to do a clutch job at the same time. I got a call 5 hrs later and was told yes the front seal was leaking but not that bad . Went to pick it up and asked if he did top it off . He asked his mechanic and was told no. I said that was the whole point of dropping it off . When backing out he insulted me telling me not to hit anything on the way out. Went home and topped it off in the driveway and it took almost 2 quarts.The owner or manager is very unprofessional and i would not recommend him to anyone.

I am very happy to be writing this review regarding the work I received on my vehicle at Holt Transmission Service. I brought my 98 Dodge Caravan there when it was experiencing transmission problems. I met the manager. He explained to me that the problem with my vehicle could be something simple, possibly as little as a sensor or a solenoid. He checked it out for free. He scanned it and road tested it, and then informed me of the codes that my car had. One of them was a sensor code. He then explained to me that it could cost me only $200. I allowed him to fix the problem. He replaced a sensor and my Caravan has been working fine ever since. I actually paid under $200 when it was finished and was so happy to do this since I had been quoted by another transmission shop a price in the range of $1,800.00. I was under the impression that I would need a transmission overhaul before I went to Holt Transmission Service. I am so happy I found this place. Because of their professionalism, honesty, and clean environment, I intend to do business with this company for many years to come and want to tell everyone I see that I have found a shop worth telling my friends and family about.

Weve used Holt Transmission for all three of our automobiles for several years now and were always 100% satisfied!!! This last visit I just showed up with out calling ahead, they said they had a bunch of cars before mine but they would work quickly. I was in no hurry and if they could not get to it today I understood, 2 hours later they called and said they inspected the car and it ended up being a bad tire. No charge at all!!!! Some times being a woman and going into a mostly all male business can be intimidating, always feeling they will sell you something you dont need ... like light bulb fluid or something, however here its much different they really do treat you like family.

We own a 2013 Ford Focus. If you have one, Im sorry. It is junk with a ever worse transmission. after talking to half a dozen transmission service garages, I chose Holt transmission because they were straight shooters. They had knowledge of the issue with the car and were able to fix it quickly. Even when there was a small problem a few days later due to a part recall from Ford, Holt stood by their warranty and corrected it with no hassle or problems. I would recommend Holt transmission whole heartedly. These guys are honest, trustworthy and professional.

I was in the market for a used truck and had concerns over a transmission slip while on a test drive. I gave Holt Transmission a call where William took it upon himself to help me inspect the transmission when his shop was super busy. The dealership tried to sell me a warranty package (for $1800) that said would cover all engine/transmission related issues. I learned after speaking with William that the warranty package would not cover any transmission related issue because the truck had aftermarket modifications. There arent many good people around like William and I cannot thank him enough for his generous assistance.

Our jeep is back in again for third time because another faulty part again! A part they put on! But theyre in no hurry! I guess their reputation is so good they can afford to treat paid customers like this! We had to rent a car, again, for a week to get my husband to work and back but they are so well, we hope to get to it soon and hope to get it done by thursday. Theyve had it a week already! They just dont care! BUT I will NOT recommend them to anyone!

Had my transmission rebuilt here and it still works, so that is the only reason for the 3 star rating. However, I will never do business here again, simply because I had to bring my car back, not once but twice. Two times I had to bring it back because my car was missing parts. Yes, thats right, missing parts...bolts and a bracket. The sad thing was that had this happened to someone who doesnt work on their own vehicle, they may have never known, until something else went wrong. I can say the manager was friendly and worked with me to ensure the matter was resolved, but I wouldnt recommend this place if asked.

I had a problem with my 98 Ford Taurus which caused repeated stalling, turned out to be a damaged torque converter solenoid. Holt Transmission fixed it fairly quickly, and helped me tremendously. Would recommend.

My truck went down all of the sudden no transmission. I contacted William and he said to get it to him as soon as I could. I dropped it off Christmas Night and by lunch time the next day it was repaired and ready to go. I can’t speak high enough about William and the shop!!!
