I worked with Nate, in used cars. The process was unbelievably smooth!!! I was in and out faster than any other dealership. The finance manager, sorry i forgot his name, was so informative in getting the proper coverage and finance options to fit my specific needs in my car. Everything was explained simply and i could not be happier. Every person i came into contact with was helpful if getting me where i needed to be, or to the people i needed to see. We are going to be looking into a truck very soon, and i cant imagine going anywhere else. We will make the trip to come back!!! Thank you mike, used car manager, for maintaining such a great team of people!! They all deserve the thanks!!! Service was very kind, quick and professional. I had to get my 2020 Chevy Equinox serviced recently. The service personnel (Gayle?) was so friendly, helpful and courteous. She did her best to fit me into the maintenance schedule of the day which I so appreciated. The repair was done in a timely manner and they also serviced the vehicle with an oil change. I appreciate the complimentary car wash and I am a big fan of Serra Chevrolet.

The entire customer to Service Department experience was flawless. The Service Advisor Tim Bell did an outstanding job in accurately capturing my concerns and engaging the Service Technician. The Service Advisor also checked to apply my Easy Care Warranty to help offset the charges for the repair. He also kept me kept me informed as to when the car would be ready. I also appreciated Clarence in the shuttle service who provided a ride to my home when I left the car for service and again when he picked me up from my home when my car was ready. The repair was perfectly performed. There were no unpleasant surprises as a result of my customer experience. I have discovered over many years that the fine folk in the Southfield Serra Chevrolet Dealership take their jobs seriously and do all they can to delight the customer. I never have any concerns about leaving my vehicle at the dealership when it comes times to service my vehicle or to have my vehicle repaired as was the case this time around.

I came in to have my brakes checked. The mechanic must have rolled down my driver side window(for what purpose I have no idea). My window doesn’t get stuck sometimes, but I know how to get it unstuck. Instead of advising me that it was possibly stuck, they took it upon themselves to disconnect my window so now it does not works at all. This happened the last time I bought my car here! I had to take my car elsewhere to find out what was wrong and he showed me inside the door where it had been disconnected!When I went back to Serra this morning to have them reconnect it, they REFUSED! CALLED ME A LIAR! And could not explain why my window rolled down when I dropped my car off but not when I picked it up!! Additionally when I picked my car up on Friday, the Cashier told me there was a note in the system that said “Do not roll down window”. Rob was also able to see that today but told me nothing was done to my window. He could not tell me WHY that note would be in your system if they did Nothing to my window.I will take my car back to the other shop to have the window addressed and I WILL sue Serra Chevrolet for Full Reimbursement!!

My experience at this dealership was great! After visiting a competitor with very aggressive sales reps, it was refreshing to work with Brandon. I dont buy new cars very often, so I need to make sure what I am getting meets all my wants and needs and I didnt feel pressured at all. When I returned to pick up my plate, Brandon took the time to answer all my questions and go over all the features in my new vehicle. Overall it was a great experience and I absolutely love my new Blazer!

Planned to come in for a fast lane oil change but my engine light came on the night before. Used the limp home mode to get to the dealership. Had no appointment and one wasnt available for two weeks, but technician agreed to check the diagnostics as part of my oil change service inspection to see if it was something simple. He was then able to make the required repair quickly while I waited. Really appreciate the extra effort to keep me on the road and maintain my active schedule. Thanks!

I was in desperate need of a vehicle. I passed several Chevrolet dealerships on my way to Serra Chevrolet.. well worth it. I had a budget like many of us do.. Thank god I found Bobby C. I presented Bobby with my budget and he provided me with a few vehicles that fit that budget and my criteria. We decided leasing the equinox was my best option... the crazy part is we did this over the phone! I never saw or drove the vehicle until I arrived at the dealership to quickly sign some paperwork. In and out in a hour. Can’t wait to see Bobby again when my lease is up.Please do yourself a favor and call Bobby, I did a lot of research and made a lot of calls, I did the work, now save yourself some time.Bobby is professional, funny, and understanding.Thanks Bobby!

Although the quality of mechanical work and maintenance is excellent, the time efficiently leaves much to be desired. Some of the team seems to dawdle, checking their phones or going very slowly through the process. An oil change should not take 2 hours when you are the first car in line.

Gayle was great. I do not know the name of who checked me out; but, she was unpleasant. I used my earned Chevy rewards to pay and she seemed quite irritated with the process. I had the voucher info on my cell (as Ive done in the past) but she wanted me to go back out to Gayle for her to enter the info and print the voucher??? I wasnt going to do that; especially when I had been told by a tech during a previous visit that the voucher info was given at checkout. The cashier went on to say you know it does not cover tax right?. Well that was rude and useless info; she acted as if I was begging for a free oil change that I could not pay for. Very unpleasant...and to top it off my car wash was trash. Huge hand prints on the hood...so was the car washed BEFORE the oil change. Wow...the service has gone down at this location.

I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone having EVEN A TOY TRUCK serviced at Serra Chevrolet in Southfield, Michigan. In addition to treated me like “dumb older woman” on issues related to the care and safety of my vehicle for almost two years, several of the service members lied and sabotaged the proper maintenance and repair of my vehicle. Why did this happen? Most likely because I had the audacity to complain about a repair that was not completed properly. In my entire driving life, NEVER have I experienced such poor treatment.I took my car to another Chevrolet dealership and was ecstatic that they solved a ongoing problem with my car while treating with respect and care.

I do all of the service on my vehicles at Serra. They track all of the maintenance history and are trustworthy to recommend the services needed or not needed. I came in for an oil change. They also checked my tires and determined I could wait until my next oil change to rotate them. I drove in without an appt, they gave me an estimated wait time, and completed the work well within their estimate. I also appreciate their Rewards program. I paid for the majority of the oil change with those accumulated points.

I purchased my first car from Serra in December 2020 and the main thing that I truly appreciate are their patience and willingness to help out their customers.Bobby Carleton was my dealer and he was very helpful and patient with me. He not only helped me with my purchase but he also helped me with my trade-in because the original car I bought lacked some features that I truly wanted. There was a lot of paperwork involved but he was willing to help me though the process so I wouldn’t have to settle for a car I didn’t truly love. I really appreciate that.Duane Gillens helped me with my first oil change and car service. He was kind and very patient with me. I don’t know much about cars so whenever I had questions (which I had quite a few) he was willing to answer them in a way that I would be able to understand and he explained what specific services I would be getting at that time and why. I learned an invaluable lesson messing around with this dealer! I let the sales rep Dominic know how much money I was working with beforehand. Not only did he send my credit through several creditors but my credit dropped 42 points. Words can’t express how angry and livid I was because I NEVER authorized them to run it that many times. The nerve of him to say I still was denied and had to put more money down. I contacted management expressing how upset I was and the damage done. I was then told by Steven he’d keep looking until he found something meeting financial needs. Long story short I never heard back from them. If u wanna be ripped off and left in a bind Serra is the place. I’m glad I went to Feldman where my credit was ran once and I left the lot with a car. I wouldn’t recommend this place they’re crooks!!!

We blew a tire on 696 in a 2020 Chevy Silverado and had to be towed to the nearest dealership which was this one. When we arrived we were ahead of our truck so we waited for the truck to arrive. When it did I was given to a service person who was going to lunch after me. She took my information and said it would be about an hour. An hour came and went and nothing so I went back to the service desk and asked another service member about my truck. He said hold on and continued to make a phone call and keep me standing there for like 5 minutes. I saw a mechanic drop off paperwork on the original girls desk that was at lunch. I went to another gentleman and asked about my truck. He asked that guy whos paperwork it was and it was mine. So he started to check me out when the wait a minute guy came over and said something to him and walked away. After an hour and a half we left with a new tire but I would have been waiting longer had I not asked about my truck. I was not impressed with their service at all.

I went to this dealership to get my A/C fixed. It was blowing cold air one day and the next day it was blowing hot air. The day I took my car to the shop to get it looked at the A/C was working, which I made that very clear of. Well it wasn’t until after they charged me they then told me because the A/C is working at this time they can’t see anything that’s wrong. “It’s like chasing a ghost”. I was mad because I didn’t understand why they even looked at my car and charged me if they wouldn’t be able to see what was wrong because the A/c was working at that time..So two days later the air stop working again so I took it back to the shop as instructed by the guy who was helping me Tim Bell. Then he said I’ll have to bring it back again because they couldn’t look at it at that time.. So now We’re on day three because I brought it back again. I spoke with this guy several times that day and each time he tells me it could be 1-3 things wrong. After keeping my car overnight the guy calls me the next day and say it’s the Temperature sensor. Well surprisingly that’s what my mom said it was to begin with from her 20 plus years experience at Chrysler.. They wanted to charge me $348 for a part that only cost $20 at auto zone, but don’t forget that includes the “labor”🙄.. I knew they still wasn’t sure if that was the issue because he always said “so we can start there”. I decided to take my car somewhere else because that price was ridiculous and to come find out it wasn’t the Temperature censor, so my mom was wrong too lol . So not only did I pay $130 for an inspection that did not include an accurate diagnosis, but they were going to charge me an extra $348 “to start there” and once they saw that wasn’t the issue I would have had to come out of more money… this was a waste of time and money. Now my A/C light is on and it won’t go off. I called Tim Bell several times and he did not answer or call me back. Very disappointed in this dealership…

Alexis was very enthusiastic, professional, and personable. She helped us find the car we wanted. Yours was the 3rd dealership we went to, but the first that actually had the car in the color we wanted. For some reason GM makes the dealership put cars on the dealers web page even though they were pre-sold, this made the web page useless and made us as customers unhappy since when we went to the dealership, the car we wanted was not there.. Your dealership had NINE Cajun red Equinoxs on the web site, yest only 3 were NOT pre-sold. I called Alexis and after she verified that 3 were available for sale, so we came down to buy our Equinox. Alexis made the purchase enjoyable and made up somewhat for the web site bait and switch set up. If I buy another car, Alexis will be my salesperson of choice!

The person who service me, Marvin went out of his way to take time to explain to me all the things that were going on with my vehicle and the priority with which they needed to be fixed. I didnt feel like as a woman I was being taken advantage of I felt like they were actually concerned. This is not my first experience with them in this manner. Honesty is a part of service. I simply drive and older model Chevrolet Im not driving a Cadillac or anything like that. I appreciate being treated with respect. They made me feel like I was a Cadillac owner.

I recently took my Chevy into the Serra dealership for repair. I anticipated it being an all day event. However, I was surprised that it took 2 hours.The service was stellar! The team was knowledgeable & explained everything to me. Everyone was friendly and the facility was clean, with a comfortable waiting area! And to top it off, my car was returned “washed and ready to go” !I’d definitely recommend Serra Chevrolet!!

Overall my experience was good. If I could give any advice, it’s just to know your budget and stick to it, get the car you want, and (if you can) walk away if they’re not able to meet your needs. In my situation I was willing to say no because I didn’t “need” a new car, just wanted to upgrade. It took 2 weeks but I was able to come back and get the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted. I would’ve loved to leave with a new car the first time around but the haggling I went through really frustrated me and made me not want to purchase from there so I left, telling them I need time to think about it. My salesman Charles stayed in contact with me and was very helpful while I weighed my options. Ultimately he was able to get me the car I wanted. I’m happy everything worked out in the end. He showed me all the features of the car and was patient and thorough, explained things well. I would’ve loved to have a positive first experience instead of having to come twice. I’m very happy with my car though!

I had a 4pm appointment for an oil change. I arrived 15min early. Workers in the garage looked at me as I pulled up, No one came out to acknowledge me for 15min. Finally an employee came out and stated I was at the wrong door and directed me to garage door just north from where I was waiting. As I approached the door another employee directed me to go another door over. Finally I made it inside only to have someone tell me to cut the car off and someone would be right over. 20 minutes passed and No one showed. I asked to speak with a Manager. The same person that made contact with me became very apologetic after avoiding me for 20 minutes. I have be coming to this dealership for years and never experienced that type of service. It was 80 degrees outside, You can imagine the temperature in that garage.

My car was recently in for a full detail service. Upon arriving to the dealership, my car was still dirty (seats, small compartments, Under and on side of seats, truck, cup holders) and just not fully detailed and the detailer was rude and disrespectful when I was trying to show my service advisor the dirt and areas of hay were not cleaned! The advisor acted to me as if he was not hearing me or my complaints. I left Pat the manager a message and he never returned my call. I returned a second time the same day to pick up my car in hopes that it would be cleaned satisfactory and to my surprise it was not!!!! The advisor Rob had to clean the cup holders and the car still was not fully cleaned! I took it immediately to another car wash only to pay to have it cleaned again and they even showed me high areas that were still full of dust and dirt and the seats were not shampooed good at all! Rob brought the price down but I still was not satisfied and I am still extremely upset!!!!!!I’m a dissatisfied customer at this point!!! I haven’t had to complain in a while but I could not let this one go!!!I would love to hear from corporate and owner about this unsatisfactory detail and disservice to me!!!The detailer was awful and was not customer friendly nor tried to satisfy me at all!!!!!

I purchased tire and wheel warranty with my current lease covering unlimited repair. I was only allowed by service department to replace 1 tire on warranty. I was quoted almost $600 to replace other 3 tires and alignment. I am still not sure why bald tires and alignment would only cover 1 tire???? Since they refused to take care of the tires on warranty, I will just turn it in as is and not get charged the 600 for tires and alignment. This seems like a scam. I am very disappointed that my dealer leased me this car with the warranty because it only covers 1 tire and no alignment! Or was it the service department that tried to scam me? Either way, you look like crooks! Over a decade I have been a loyal customer. These actions are causing me to rethink where my next lease will come from.

I leased a new Tahoe from Serra Chevrolet in June 2018, with all intentions of purchasing at lease end. In February, 2021, I was preparing to inquire about the lease end purchase process. My son in law was looking into the current value and brought up a car fax on my Tahoe, which revealed it had been in an accident in April 2018 (two months before I leased it). I was not informed of the accident. Had I been informed, I would NEVER have leased the vehicle. I contacted the Sales Manager of Serra Chevrolet, about details of the accident. He stated I wasnt here then and the dealership had no knowledge of the accident. I stated that I was still interested in purchasing but, needed information on what damage was done. The dealership provided me a body shop which fixed the damage at a cost of over $2900.00. I then asked if the purchase price could be lowered to compensate for the loss of value due to the accident. Serra Chevrolet stated only GM has the authority to lower the residual price. All they offered was a good interest rate, a warranty or “possibly buying it back” though I had already paid the lease off.I started to think Maybe they didn’t know of the accident and it is just a case of clearly a mistake by the dealership but my problem and just an isolated crazy incident. Then a question was asked if Serra Chevrolet would have sold/leased the vehicle at the same price had they known the vehicle was in an accident requiring 2900.00 in damage and they said “YES”. This answer told me everything I needed to know about this dealership and has not only completely shattered any trust or confidence I have in not only Serra Chevrolet but, in the entire process of buying a new vehicle. If this can happen at a large Chevrolet dealership, it can happen anywhere. Buyer beware!

We really enjoyed working with Nate when we purchased our car a couple months ago. He is super personable, knowledgeable, and helped us through the buying experience where we felt comfortable. He understood our situation and even had no problem with me ducking out halfway through the process to get my kids from daycare and come back with them to finish up. We would visit him again!

Bobby was awesome. Not only did he respond to my many texts before even coming into the showroom, he worked with me to schedule a time and date and to discuss vehicle options. When I did manage to make it into the showroom he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He worked with me to make sure I got the vehicle I wanted not just the one I could afford. The day I bought my car I was rushed, treated like a second rate customer, and was disregarded in the waiting area. The man handling paperwork was extremely rude, the car I purchased was supposed to be detailed before I left, there were leaves in the door seals, the floors and small compartments were filthy, and the center console was sticky. There was dog hair in the trunk from the previous owner, and the car had sat on the lot for almost 6 months. I still have yet to recieve my plate and title, 4 months after buying the car.i was just told its sitting on somebodys desk. I live on the other side of the state, but I went to serra specifically because I had read good things online. Now they suppose I make a 4 hour trip so that my family can travel legally. Also, I paid full price for the vehicle, cash upfront. And was treated so poorly, that if we hadnt been almost done with the process, I wouldve changed my mind and bought elsewhere. Never have I ever been so disrespected as a customer

This is my first time purchasing my 2021 Trailblazer and getting it serviced. I appreciate Ray and the team. They were very professional I told him it was my first time there he told me if I have any further questions feel free to give him a call back. I picked up my car from Serra a few days ago, the tech was very nice. When I was driving to work this morning my car ran hot. I paid Serra to flush my radiator and all the fluid leaked out this morning. I just hope I didnt do any serious damage to my engine. Now I cant go to work and I had to walk a few miles to get home.

Very disappointed with service. I was asked to come in for a quote on my current lease due to the car shortage. Alexis had wonderful customer service and was very nice. The unfortunate thing is that the offer they gave me was absolutely offensive with me being a customer for over 2 years. After my quote I decided to get and oil change and a tire rotation. I have 3rd party wheel locks and the and the service personnel were not accommodating to me needs. Sadly I will have to go out of the way for to another dealership, when this is the one I originally purchased my vehicle from.

I came in for a oil change and was told I was next in line. I waited for an hour and 45 minutes just to look outside and seen my just sitting in the lot. I had noticed that customers that came in after me service was completed before mine. I had to go ask them what was going on with my car for them to realize it was complete. I assume that the oil change was done but they did not communicate with the team to notify me that is was ready. Then when I finally pay for the service and went to leave my keys were not in the car. It then took them 10 minutes to locate the key fob. Normally excellent service here but this one was a very bad experience and Im not sure if I will return.

He was patient with us and did all he could to ensure we walked away with the car we really wanted. The staff really worked hard to ensure we left with the vehicle we came for.

Dear Serra Chevrolet,My wife and I came in wanting a specific vehicle we found online. We werent ready to haggle or barter for a deal, we wanted to get in and get out in a vehicle. James greeted us at the door and was a breath of fresh air. He was charismatic, funny, and was a very straight shooter. James immediately got us in the vehicle for test drive and we were hooked, we wanted the car then and there. He came back with some unfortunate news and some news that Christmas came early this year. The vehicle we wanted was a base cross-over and was out of our price range but after chatting with his manager they found an upgraded Chevy Traverse that was even cheaper! It was our dream car, we picked it up the next day and never looked back. Ricky Crump gave me EXCELLENT service. He made me aware of a seatbelt recall when i was just coming in for a oil change & tire rotation. I was able to avoid a long 3 hr wait because of the recall. He also made me aware of a warranty that covered my reverse light bulb that went out which saved me time & money on replacing it. Altogether it was a EXCELLENT experience & i will surely will be back for service & another lease or vehicle purchase.P.S. GIVE Mr. Crump a raise plus a bonus.. he surely deserve it..😁👍🏻
