Very poor new hires, been shopping here for 30 years without a problem but in the last few months the employees have been terrible, they need better training... The blonde kid needs to learn how to treat customers, he disrespected my father, my dad only buys food from Food lion and has been since I was a baby, he doesnt deserve to have some young disrespectful teenagers attitude.

I have loved this store forever, improvements have been made, more items have been added. Produce is great.

Always able to find what I need here. Not really crazy about the bakery but pretty good at every thing else. Gonna start spending a little more time here.

This is my main store where I do all of my grocery shopping. Store is always clean, shelves are always stocked and service from the employees have always been above and beyond expectations and above average. This store is not quite as big as competitors in and around the vicinity of this Food Lion. But there have been very few occasions where what I wanted or needed was not there. And if it wasnt the next time I needed that item it was there. I love the late hours that they stay open as well. I can go on and on with the pluses. This is my store and I love everything about it.

Im new to Tennessee and to food lion with that being said Ive enjoyed the store and the good service if the employees until today. June 27 at approximately 7:10 pm my wife and I were checking out with Zariah she acted as if checking us out was a inconveniences, she was cold unwelcoming. I bagged my own groceries and when I asked her to send the products down to bag she did not acknowledge me at all just looked at me. This very not typical of the service from this store.

My ALL time favorite grocery store. They have amazing prices, their produce is always fresh, meat always fresh, and not to mention very good prices all around. Our food lion has amazing employees always ready to help and so friendly when checking out. I always call and compliment their services and friendliness.

I went to our local Food Lion in Smyrna to pick up a three specific items that were out of stock at another supermarket chain. Although this store is basically just down the street from us, Id never really shopped here before. The store was moderately busy. My first impression was that the store seemed like it hadnt been updated in a while and could use a renovation. The overall impression was that this store catered primarily to those looking for inexpensive items vs. quality items, and that they didnt spend much money on making the store bright and appealing, like say a Publix.I started looking for my three items, and I noticed as I wandered up and down the aisles that there were a number of shelves that had empty sections that obviously hadnt been restocked in a while. I found that the layout of the store was a bit odd and not really conducive to finding things quickly. The signs over the aisles were of little help in finding the Wickles Pickles or the Swanson chicken broth. I did eventually find all 3 items, however, after about 3 times going up and down almost every aisle. Not once did I bump into a store employee that I might have asked where my items were located. I used a cashiered lane - didnt really see any self-checkout options available - and checkout was quick, easy and friendly.I gave it 3 stars because, although there were no major hiccups, there was also nothing that really recommended this store to me and made me want to come back there, other than the fact that its close by. It was a very middle-of-the-road experience in an older, run-of-the-mill supermarket.

We ordered our groceries online from this location and the service was spectacular. They sent us a message for each item that they did not have at the time and we had an option of switching it or removing the item from our list. They had the groceries ready at the exact time we wanted and an associate quickly brought them out to us. Definitely will be doing this again at this store.

I called the store to ask if they had a particular item in stock. The young lady (didnt get her name) offered to check to see. Luckily for me they had it and she held the items up front for me until I got there a few minutes later. I commend this young lady for her sincere professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. I wish I knew her name! All employees are always friendly whenever I go there to shop; which isnt often as I live a little distance from there. Good job guys!

I like Food Lion. The 1 in smyrna has several employees who have worked there for many years. Familiar friendly faces are always good to see! The young people working there are friendly as well. I check the ads and buy the products that fit my criteria. Im always able to buy there products and save money when I do!

Almost always has what Im going for. One 2 or 3 times that they were out of something but it was in the pandemic days so I dont fault the store as much. 95% of the employees are great, the other 5% is not so much to the 14th power. Thats not to say they arent good workers or good people and honestly it could be because of my appearance and attitude that we didnt mean.

At the moment it could have been a lot better too many shelves not stocked and in some places too much, the floors could have been a little cleaner and the register should have moved more quickly than they did usually they fulfilled that part but at this time it was slow

They never seem to stock enough! never any of there store brand goods available which forces you to purchase top shelf name brands at a higher price! Paper products are nil to none! And this is in the middle to end of June 2020. Shame! Bakery prices are entirely to high. Heck just go publix and pay more for better product!

Nice friendly service clean store

It was ok. My first time there though. The dog food and bones are wayyy to much, in my opinion. The eye liner was pencil and was almost 6 bucks and it was small. The potatoes wedges that were hot cost 2.50 and was only like 7 in the bag. Those were tiny. The Milk, bananas and pot pies were great prices. Even the DG doesnt have milk for less than $3. Oh and only 1 salad made. 5 bucks for that lil ole thang. I didnt get it only cause it had corn on it. Other than the prices on most stuff, its outta my budget. Thanks FOOD LION, for being there for my mother but ill go somewhere else next time for mother. P.s. Very clean store!

Food Lion is the only place around here that sells Turkey Hill Iced Tea. I love how theyre always stocked up on it.

Store manager vanessa approached us at the register and went above and beyond to make our son feel special. Everyone there is always incredibly kind and sweet. We love this store.

The prices are a little high and the selection is limited, however it is convenient because it is close by and rarely busy.

Worst Food Lion experience ever! They had a very poor and limited selection. . I asked an employee to see if they for a particular item . The employee didn’t know and he searched around the store for 10 minutes to find someone . Just for him he finally tell me that they might have some on the back but refused to go on the back to see. Walked the store I see many employees not wearing masks. The staff is don’t follow social distancing regulations! On top of that I told the cashier that the price for an item is 326 which was labeled on the item. She has the nerve to argue back that it just rings up that way and had an issue on changing the price. I won’t be back! Spend your money somewhere else.

I spoke to Kevin tonight about getting some empty boxes from the store. He not only told me when the truck comes in, but asked me what kind/size of boxes I needed & asked if I wanted them broken down or intact! He actually wrote my name down in his notebook and told me when to be there & to ask for him. Now THAT is seriously fantastic customer service!!! This store always has good customer service, but Kevin definitely went above & beyond, thanks Kevin!!

Considering how most places dont have anything lately..They are pleasantly stocked...Got everything I went for, and didnt have to settle for off-brand items.

Sad they were out of the chicken,and pork roast they advertised. Being handicapped, cannot get there early enough.Otherwise, shopping experience was good

We are visiting and this store was the first that we came by so we stopped. They are just the place to go if you want to pick up your things and not have to search a huge store. We have had to run out at least 5 times and need to run at least two more times. The store was clean and employees nice and helpful. Next time we visit, we will be back

Went there just to buy cigarettes, as they were the only place nearby that carried a brand for which I had coupons. Only one person in check out line ahead of me. They had all the brands for which I had coupons, plus my regular brand. The lady who was working the register was patient and courteous as I presented my coupons. The prices were competitive. Would highly recommend.
