Perfect local grocer. things are sometimes more expensive there but everyone there seems happy and helpful. i find it is worth spending a few extra dollars when i can for a great grocery shopping experience. they have a lot of local items and a fantastic beer selection- only wish the aisle was bigger. their house made picked goods are plenty and they have a great selection of vegan/vegetarian products. only wish they carried follow your heart provolone and less daiya.

Clean. The customer service is great! They have every item and good you need! Everything is organized and your safety for covid is very important to them.

I was just in there to buy a bottle of Rye Whiskey. It was pretty slow and I know where their liquor section is, so I was in and out in under a minute.I was about to get into my car before I heard somebody asking me if Id paid for my bottle of whiskey. My initial impression was that he was just another customer being strangely friendly, making some slightly off color joke. I realized quickly that he was their loss prevention authority, so I gladly let him usher me back inside while explaining that Id opted out of taking my receipt.He insisted that I pay for the whiskey, which is a very tolerant and patient form of loss prevention. I insisted that Id paid already, and he checked with the cashier whod ring me up, who then confirmed.It was a strange experience being mistaken for a shop lifter, but the speed, professionalism, and courtesy with which I was treated was exemplary. I was in and out in under a minute without a receipt. Chris does his job very well and deserves a raise regardless of his current wage.

Its seems to be a hold out location. Which is fine. But it shows in the prices. Being the only grocery store in reasonable distance is shown in highprices for common items.

Well stacked on the popcicles I having been looking for ALL DAY. Big variety on beers, wines, liquors. Not big as Safeway or Fred Meyer in variety of poultry (hamburger meat, steaks, pork chops, etc. Still though I would highly recommend this place...

Friendly staff and a nice clean store, even if a bit on the small side. They are higher priced than other area markets, but sometimes I find items there that I cant find anywhere else. They do have a deli, as well as a small fish market. I never hesitate to go in and see what I can find!

Cashiers are rude and clicky. The managers are dating the cashiers so its hard to voice complaints. Management is non existent and the owners only care about profit. Commodities and groceries are way over priced. I do not recommend to any classy individual

This is my favorite local grocery. They are an independent which I also like to support. The wine section is eapecially good. People are great and many have been there for years.

The employees are really friendly and knowledgeable. One went out of her/their way to help me and checked in the back for chicken strips and even knew when theyd be getting more in. 5 star service, my only complaint is that everything is way overpriced.

This is a good little neighborhood market. Just enough of everything that I always leave with what I need. Its a bit pricey than the big chains, bit worth it to support the only Shoreline grocery store actually owned by Shoreline residents.

Very expensive for the exact same products at Safeway/Albertsons and sometimes Grocery Outlet. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Save money and go somewhere else.

This is a great store with lots of finds you wont see in any Kroger. I go here specifically for goat brie, tasty desserts and fun mixers for drinks. Their liquor selection is also top notch and I love getting the Empress gin. Overall, this is a great store for regular groceries or if youre looking for something extra ordinary!

Cashiers are sincere. Great variety of brands. Meat Dept knows what theyre doing. Fairly large microbrew and hard cider selection. Plenty of organic options, veggies to breast. In 8 years of frequenting store weekly, only one single cashier error. Very convenient location. Entryway seldom has ash or cigarette smokers out front. Wide parking slots for my not so mini van. Caring, casual staff.

The Ballinger Thriftway is a neighborhood gem. Everything you could want in your neighborhood grocery store. Super friendly staff who get to know their customers. Great deli, prepared foods, and meats selections. Solid wine, spirits, and to-go-withs. Actually, its well-selected all around! Theyve recently branded some of their own items, which are fantastic. Always a good experience. Its so convenient that we go multiple times a week and always have fresh food for our meals.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!This store is NOT following the mandate to wear face masks.In fact they are allowing customers to scream & swear at the checkers who ask them to put it on while at the checkstand.Checkers get ABSOLUTELY NO backup from management & are told to find another job if they dont like it.I will never again step foot in this store. The way their staff is treated is despicable!!!!

WOW, I called in to see if the store had my favorite Three Magnets Big Juice Smoothie DIPA/IPA. I was asked by the customer service attendant over the phone to leave my name and number so that a follow could happen.Low and behold, two weeks later I get a call from a wonderful person named Carly stating that she would write my name in and call me whenever the beer was back in stock. She even stated that she contacted the brewery in Olympia to verify the frequency of the IPA and affirmed me that she would try to get 4 crates of the beer ordered.The customer service here is amazing and the people here are beautiful.

Great sandwiches at the deli. Make sure to get there by 5pm, as they sometimes close the deli early.

Nice upscale grocery store. Youre going to spend more than you would at an Albertsons or Safeway, but the meat department is fabulous. They have an amazing beer and wine selection, with a knowledgeable person to help you with your purchase.

Good quality fruits, vegetables and meats. Good selection of wine, beer and chocolate. Prices are not the lowest, but this is still a great store to have around.

A great local grocery store that has more of the organic/vegan selections. The food items are about the price point of a Fred Meyer or some Kroger brand, so its not the cheapest places to shop for groceries but its not like shopping at whole foods, though the quality matches that,. A lot of the store products are local and organic. They also have discount days, wine tastes, and small grill days during the summer which a lot of the community comes together for.

This is a really nice store. It makes me really sad that they closed the boulevard park store and now its a stupid dollar tree. It was the only store that was convenient for our neighborhood and they took it away. I decided 4 stars because their community focus seems to be drifting away from mid/lower income communities and focusing on more affluent areas.

Although it is higher than some other places like Safeway, Fred Meyer, it is still a good place and it does have some hard to find items. I love their fruit/ veg! Very Fresh.

This is an overpriced yuppie store- the produce in particular is some of the most expensive I have ever seen. That being said, they have an excellent selection of quality local goods: beer and wine, produce, bakery goods, local milk, etc. So if you can afford the high prices they do have some really good stuff. They also have regular beer and wine tastings. All in all, its at least worth checking out once. But if you are a large family struggling to feed everyone, this is not the store for you.

While their prices arent the lowest around, this locally owned grocery sells very high quality produce, meats, seafood, and prepared goods, in addition to the standard prepared shelved fair. Their selection for some items is exceptional, especially beer and wine, and the store is never overly crowded or hectic.The store staff is generally very friendly and the checkout lines are usually pretty quick to get through. Some notes, not digs at them, are:1. Paper bags cost a nickel.2. Liquor is at the very front of the store.3. Backpacks should be checked in at the front counter.4. Specialty rare/seasonal beers are on displays below the cold case, at foot level.5. There is a prepared meals case with single servings of a large variety of foods in front of the deli counter, but hidden behind the cheeses. Youll find it if you look.6. Tuesday is a senior citizen discount day.
