Best grocery store around. Huge selection, great deli coumter, live crab/lobster/shellfish and great oyster selection. Ethnic food choices are excellent. Bakery good too. Weve purchased many personalized birthday cakes here. Produce selection also very large and fresh. Lots of products for special dietary needs.

This is sort of an upscale market with counter help in every department, but expect to pay higher prices on every day items. The fresh seafood department has some of the best selections outside going to a fish monger. If you like hot deli food there is a cold and hot bar by the pound, pizza counter where sold by slice or pizzas made to order, and the usual grocery deli items available.

After my first visit, Id call it my favorite grocery store experience ever. Why? Amazing variety in every department, each staffed by professionals who are not only knowledgeable, but sweet and kind.Want examples? In the prepared foods department, the kind lady answered all my questions and directed me to most popular and her favorite items. She was so proud of the store prepared foods, and sincerely welcomed me.The meat department was amazing. So impressed to learn about their SmartChicken, I bought one, along with the Parmesan Chicken--what the staffer described as their store prepared top seller.The seafood department was the most abundantly stocked Ive ever seen. I was helped by Chuck, who not only educated me on so many seafood varieties, but also shared his favorite recipe for stuffed oven baked fresh trout.Finally, hats off to Alyssa in produce, who gave me a heads up on the pending apple season - will be full blast in a few weeks - and shared a free sample of a special apple she thought I would enjoy.Enough already. Convenient location just off of Aurora Ave N (Hwy 99) with abundant, free parking. It’s great for a quick bite to eat at the hot deli, bakery, udon shop, or sushi bar, a full grocery trip, specialty international fare, local beer or wine, or a small gift. Sometimes I enjoy just wandering around the store and finding new, fun gift and meal ideas. During normal business they host cooking classes.My favorite things to buy are the high quality seafood and meats (halibut and tenderloin are my go-to), local salsa, and fresh avocados and tomatoes!They aren’t the cheapest, but they are the best. Hands down my favorite grocery store in the greater-Seattle area!

This Central Market is very clean and well organized. But I can honestly say, it is way too expensive compared to other high end grocery stores like Whole Foods and Ken’s Market. If you are looking for savings, this is definitely NOT the right place for you to shop.

I moved to the area last week. This is one of the first groceries I have visited. At first my husband and we’re delighted to find a wide selection of asian foods and snacks. However, the staff were rude.We approached the front of the store and saw that several self-checkout kiosks were open. We went up and started scanning our items. On the last item, the employee manning the self-checkouts yelled at us that we had cut in line. We turned and saw that there were in fact around 3 people waiting a bit away in an aisle that wasn’t visible when we walked up. It was an honest mistake and I was embarrassed. Immediately I said we could cancel our transaction and go to the back of the line. The employee rolled their eyes at me and walked away. One of the people waiting in line was a uniformed employee on break as the kiosk next to us opened, they walked past and snidely said thanks to us as they passed while glaring.This situation was handled poorly. I was new to the store and made a mistake. I was apologetic but instead of helping me I was dismissed and treated like a I was the rude one by not one but two employees.I won’t be returning to this store.

I really love Cenrral Market. When I first moved to Shoreline from Seattle, I was afraid about not having access to quality Asian ingredients. Boy, was I wrong.Though this section of the store isn’t that big, they somehow manage to stock it with a nice variety of quality and essential items—and even the slightly esoteric stuff.I recall the time I lamented that no Japanese restaurants served Okonomiyaki (it can be found nowadays). Well, I happened to look around a bit and found that they actually carried everything you need to make it at home. Dang! And then there was the time I learned of the new culinary noise surrounding shio koji (for marinating meat). Sure enough, they had it all along. If you want to make homemade miso, they have that stuff, too.Admittedly, Central may not have everything you might possibly wish for, but, if you ask, they might order it for you, if they can.Another thing I like about the place is that their employees have the best attitude of all the supermarkets in the area. I’ve even asked the people what they thought, and it’s always been positive. To quote one person, “They ask a lot, but they treat us really well.” I think that says a lot about the owners.

Best grocery store ever!! We used to shop at metropolitan market, which is super nice but way expensive, or PCC (again, great produce but expensive and hard to find basics). Central market has great produce, fresh seafood and meat counter, good selection of organics, but alsp has all the normal stuff that we used to have to go to Safeway for (aluminium foil, ketchup, etc). Not the cheapest but its a great mix of fancy organic and normal and the workers are so friendly! We love it!

People drive across town to go to Central Market. The produce department is not to be believed. Each section could be its own standalone store. The deli, the beer, wine & spirits department, the meat department, the seafood department, the Asian market and sushi bar, the huge offerings in the bulk department, the bakery, etc. It is a destination shopping experience. I don’t buy meat anywhere else. I highly recommend a visit to Central Market I am

What makes Central Market so great is that they bring in many products from local producers and bakeries. Always a great experience.

Shoreline Central market is a pretty diverse grocery store and before the pandemic hot food section was unrivaled. The biggest concern at Central market has been since their conversion in the produce section and the reduction of the Asian part of the market. Their prices are slightly elevated over most other grocery stores and its not clear why. I hope they get to return to the full glory after the pandemic has resolved.

I love this store, and do most of my shopping here. Great produce, and meat. Helpful, and nice staff. Only complaint I have is they seem to be out of items frequently, I still do my main shopping here even though I may need to go elsewhere to supplement.

Even though you pay a bit more, they not only have excellent quality, great customer service, and they sell items that are hard to find elsewhere. Nice wide aisles, fantastic variety of items.Their meatloaf from scratch is really good, a great variety of seafood, both fresh and frozen. Lots of parking.

One of my underrated favorite markets. I love their food court especially their hot dogs and pizza. Plenty of parking and lots of selection. Great seafood and Asian selection as well.

What a great store. The Asian section has Angelo Pietro Salad dressings, Yamasa soy sauce and many other excellent products. They stock frozen and refrigerated items as well. The seafood department has many locally sourced items. The deli area has many types of cheeses. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great Asian section, huge variety of tea, butcher shop is friendly and accommodating, large array of organic and non-organic produce, sushi is delicious, pizza (take away and bake at home) are yummy. A great choice for all of your shopping needs!

Nice store, BUT food way too over priced for the area. Prices are like Metropolitan Market in Queen Anne. Paying 2x more than common grocery stores. I am looking for good food and good prices, without paying double smh. Taking advantage of their customers that live in the area. I known quality, but still over priced in my opinion.

Favorite grocery store in the world! I live in South Seattle and still come up to Shoreline just for this store sometimes (but usually only if Im already in the area, it is quite a drive). Great selection of EVERYTHING, including prepared foods. Its like a Whole Foods but bigger, less expensive and more selection. Friendly and helpful staff who seem to enjoy working there, which makes me feel like they are treated well, which makes me like the store even more. Please open another location in the South!

Overpriced and bad service.Of all the grocery stores in the area that I have shopped at, this grocery store has the most unfriendly attitude that I have encountered. Fred Meyer, Safeway and Albertsons cashiers, counter servers and other employees are all much friendlier and more accommodating to customer service and needs than the employees at Central Market. This is ironic because the prices at Central market are anywhere between 20 and 100% higher than the prices at the large grocery chains and Im sure their paychecks are also larger. Still the employees rarely smile and emanate the vibe that they are doing you a favor to wait on you. My most recent negative experience and the one that motivated me to write this warning involved a cashier that couldnt be bothered to do her job and scan 5 items from a basket on her counter. Instead she insisted that I remove all items, caddy the basket for her before she would ring up the bill. When I suggested that that was her job, she claimed her elbow hurt and refused to proceed at all and made a big scene. She seemed to be confused about who was paying whom in the transaction and got really nasty about it.When I go to a to any store I expect to be greeted with smiles and courtesy and not to have some cashier make a scene about doing her job. Her comments during the scene seemed to indicate that she felt she was too good for this job.Regrettably, this was not the first negative experience Ive had at this market, just the most blatant.Despite some other attributes of the market; quality and selection, I can not recommend this market and will shop elsewhere in the future.

Central Market is the one stop shop of Asian and American food for me. They have a variety of selections. Yes everything here costs twice as much but I am happy to pay for it because I am not just buying the products. I am also buying the wonderful customer service, clean store, fresh and high quality produce, and ultimately the pleasant and fun shopping experience. This is high value for me especially during the pandemic.

This place is clean and great for higher quality food. Higher quality food is more expensive, so dont expect grocery outlet prices. The food is reasonably priced for the quality.

One really great thing theyve added that I personally appreciate and love is a hand washing station at the front just behind the checkout area. Great store, but youre going to pay for it. I love it, they have a lot of unique things, but not a great place to get general groceries because of pricing. Produced and meat is very pricey but its really good, really good seafood. Its fun to go there. Also love the bulk food, candy especially and Asian desserts.

Best customer service in town. Good quality foods. Spendier than other chain grocery stores, but if you shop the sales, there are still good deals to be had. Great for bulk items including coffee, tea and spices. I miss the hot bar and hope theyll bring it back after COVID. Speaking of which, this is one of the few stores i feel comfortable shopping in during COVID due to their rigorous sanitation protocols. The one department i feel is lacking is their bakery.

Staff is always SO helpful. I needed some TwinBrook Creamery heavy cream, but the expiration date was 3 days away and I woul not have been able to use it up. A wonderful gentleman that stocks it said they wouldnt have it until tomorrow. I left the area. He looked in the back anyway and found that they had received it early. He then found me and gave it to me! This is why I shop here. Loyalty is important in this day and time.

My go to place for produce and fresh clams. The staff is always nice enough to take the time to pick out smaller clams for me. Oh and lets not forget their cheese department. Love it

I stopped by Central Market Shoreline to pick up ingredients for a veggie chili i was making. I liked the selection and price for several of the organic canned vegetables i needed. The corn and tomatoes were the same price for organic as the non organic selections. The fresh vegetables were priced slightly higher than other grocery stores nearby. The produce section was very organized and clean. I prefer that all produce be priced per pd. some were but some were priced as 3 for 3.99. I can do the math but would prefer per pd. The cashier and bagger were very friendly. There were plenty of lanes open and no lines had more than two customers in each lane. I would like to return try the cafe that is also part of the Central Market Shoreline.

This Central Market is great! Always a steady stream of people because its so popular. The associates there are always nice and will help you with anything. Great selection and quality every time. The produce and meat sections are always spot on quality and variety. The pizza and premade food area is awesome, big variety. I always leave with a slice or two and there is a nice open seating area if you plan on staying there to chow down. The bathrooms are always clean and stocked. There is also a farmers market during the year that takes place in the outer area of the parking lot on the weekends and its wonderful. Great people and food/products!

Got some great sashimi to make rolls. The folks and the sushi bar were very friendly and helpful!!

We always go to central market to get our meats and cheeses, not unusual for its to spend more than $50 at the deli meats counter and the service is typically great. Today we spent $68 to prep for vacation to chelan, knowing wed not be able to find the smoked gouda or calabrese salami over there. The service was terrible, we literally repacked each and every package when we got home. Take some lessons from the Mill Creek Central Market...

Went to Central Market for NY steaks today, excellent quality as always. If youre looking for the best prime cuts in the area, this is the place to go. Their seafood department is very impressive as well. Ive been doing business here for 20 years and have never been disappointed with either.

Woah! If it’s your first visit, plan to take some time. They have a huge selection of everything. So many GF options! Lots of international foods, including half of one isle of fresh/cooler foods. So much good stuff it’s overwhelming. I was pleasantly shocked how helpful and available the staff were. They were out in the aisles helping people find items and at one point a checker saw me looking around and asked if she could help me find something. That is a level of customer focus which is really hard to find in grocery stores.

Central Market in Shoreline has phenomenal staff who are always friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and present - its staffed with enough associates so that when youre looking for help, its easy to find a store member to answer your question. The seafood counter has provided me with above-and-beyond service. While pricey, the quality is excellent. Its the only store well buy our meat and seafood out now.

This is pretty much the only store I’ll shop at for my private chef business. Every department is knowledgeable and takes care in their work. The cashiers have baggers, whereas other stores rarely have them. I always recommend this grocery store!

I love this store!! It reminds me of a much fancier Trader Joes. You can find a bunch of stuff that youre unlikely to find anywhere else. I can find just about any ethnic food ingredients and whatever you like to eat, they have in organic and vegan options. There are a few common grocery store items that youll find in the store, but most of it is very unique. They also have live seafood available!! This definitely isnt someplace Id do my regular shopping at just because of the insane prices (I spent $87 on a half a bag of groceries) but anytime you want to find something unique and interesting, this is the place you should go....especially for seafood!! Yum!! Its one of the few places you can get live dungeness crab!

A Seattle best. Great produce department and seafood departments. Cheese selection and deli as well. Current pandemic has changed options in deli of course but some items still available in containers and packages. Great staff doing a very good job right, especially now.

Telling me it’s a law that I can’t do what I’ve been doing for a long time, it is not only an extremely pathetic act of customer service. It insults my intelligence and literally just claims the guy as a proud human jerk.FYI yes It is completely legitimate to buy a take and bake pizza and have it be cooked. If you want to check me on that just go to 7-Eleven they do it all day every day.

The best place in Shoreline to buy bulk balsamic vinegar.

Ive been coming here once a week at least for the last 3 years. There are very few places that I have been to that it seems like people genuinely enjoy their jobs. Staff are almost always friendly, helpful, and In a pleasant mood.The selection is great! It’s sort of like a Co-Op meets Fred Meyer. So it’s nice to be able to find a great selection of organic products along with standards that Co-Ops don’t sell such as Sodas for example. Their in house prep is also very well done, I enjoy their salad bar, take and bake pizzas, pizza counter and deli selection.The Seafood selection is the best I have found at a grocery store in North Seattle. This is the only place I have been able to find Opah in the area.They also have a great community footprintWith several events through the seasons. A special bonus is Shoreline Farmers Market in the parking lot through Summer and Early Fall, so you can get some items locally and then go inside for the rest.You really can’t go wrong with this place!
