OMG I love this place!John is a talented and honest numismatist with TONS of experience. He helped us with an elderly neighbor go through what ended up being a coin collection worth over $150,000 that our friend didnt even know she had. He was 100% upright, honest and trustworthy. It was a large (and heavy) collection and he was willing to come to our home twice to assess the whole thing so I didnt have to lug it around. He took his time and was thorough when sorting through the pieces but with his vast experience (and passion for coins), the whole processes didnt take too long. He has a wealth of knowledge and loves chocolate chip cookies. I much preferred working with small business owner over the other large group in the Seattle. To be able to compete with them, as a single owner of a small shop, you immediately know he must be reputable and reliable and trustworthy. I highly recommend John and Seattle Coin Shop!

He offered me fair prices, answered any questions I had and was very meticulous. This is the place you want to go to sell your coins.

When I called to find information about a coin, the guy seemed like he was in a hurry and I was bothering him. He basically told me he never heard of it. I will take my money somewhere else. I asked same question because I didnt think he understood what I was asking about. He obviously has enough business that he doesnt need mine, and maybe not yours either.

I had a great time selling some coins to this shop. John was great to talk with, and offered a fair price on the sets.

John was busy with another customer and told me it might be a half hour wait, so I found a comfortable chair and waited. The more I looked around his shop I was very impressed with the very professional look and arrangement and also the discussion he was having with his other customers.When it finally became my turn, after at least a forty minute wait, he was very thorough examining each coin Id brought in from my fathers old collection. He even brought out catalogs to check values he was not certain of, and also did some on line searches to research some.He must have spent well over an hour and half going over each and every coin, some he even used a microscope for closer exams.I was very surprised and pleased when he finally announced what he was willing to offer.

Fair prices big selection i love this coin store. Although I do not get down here much because I mostly work in north, when I do come down here I always spend way more than I anticipate, mr john is a pleasure to deal with . Thank you! 5 Stars.

Very easy to deal with & good prices. He was also open when he said he was open. Some other local coin shops seem to have a problem with this.

John was recommended from a different dealer & I havent been to another shop sense. Hes the most knowledgeable & honest guy in the seattle area Ive yet to meet.

So i wanted to get my coins appraised because i did research and they were valuable and when i asked for them to check how much they thought they were they wouldnt even look at them and they said ill make this easy there not worth anything. then went on about other coins so dont go there!!!!
