I needed some help after Evo failed to correctly align my back wheel, and was so happy with my experience here. The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond to not only fix the problem, but also help with rotating my stem. The person who helped me (unfortunately I didn’t get their name) was so kind and enthusiastic about helping get me back out on the trail. I definitely recommend this shop to anyone who loves to bike!

Ive been here a few times for repairs of both an electric and non-electric bike. Ive always received transparent advice and estimates for both time and cost. Today, I took my tubeless bike in to get the tire sealant replaced. Their repair queue was a week long (not unexpected for late July), but they did me a favor and took care of it right away. And this was done by an employee who wasnt even on shift that day! I didnt have the patience to get the valves replaced but they were able to sell me a tubeless patch kit that came with two extra valves. I couldnt have asked for a better solution!

I ordered a Brompton from their website and had it shipped to EFBN. They were very helpful in setting it up for me and answering questions. It was great to be able to swap the seat post for a different size without having to go through Brompton directly. You can tell the team has a lot of product knowledge and experience as regular riders.

Whenever I run into a problem with my electric scooter I bring it here. They have a fair rate and are always quick to fix.

Got a specialized e-bike from them last year. Its my primary mode of transportation now and I love it. Not gonna lie, Ive had a few issues here and there with the bike they sold me. The reason I wanted to get a bike from a local shop like them has been exemplified. Today, I had more issues with some gears sliding and chain breaking, even after having an annual service just two weeks ago. Exhausted from a hard day work, dealing with 90 degree heat, a broken bike chain, and still needing to go the DOL I walked in and started going full out complaining mode... It wasnt their fault, but they were in disbelief that I was having so many issues with a bike they sold me less than a year ago. He told me he could get it so that I could get myself home and finish my errands, but he wanted to hold onto it to get it fixed properly.He gave me a loaner (not something he usually does) so that I could finish my errandsz which works for now, and I was able to get my errands done at least.Id rather the bike they sold me not have any issues, but they have always been super dependable and helpful when things go wrong. They have taught me tricks and how to fix things in emergencies, and really gave me a great deal on a bike in 2020. When I go to them in a bind they make sure Im taken care of, and thats a place Im gonna go out of my way to go to as often as I can.

My wife and I have been shopping for an electric bike for her which took us into at least 7 bike shops between Seattle and Tacoma. DJ at Electric & Folding Bikes NW has been consistently courteous, helpful, and professional, which frankly, is a breath of fresh air! Some personnel at other shops gave us the impression that we were wasting their time or that they didnt want our business. DJ always made us feel welcome. He has a nice selection of electric bikes and some interesting folding bikes. We enjoyed his no pressure and informative style and we could really tell he was more interested in getting the right bike for us than just making a sale. Great people! This is a friendly, laid back bike store with great customer service. We bought my husband an electric bike here and we had a good experience. DJ, who I believe is the owner, helped us find the best bike for us. He listened to the things we were looking for in a bike and respected our price range (we said we wanted to spend about 2000 which was on the low end for an electric bike). He showed us what he had that fit our range and explained each option clearly. We were able to test ride different options and find the best fit for us.

I have purchased several Electric bikes from DJ and referred many friends and acquaintances there as well.Service is top notch. Very much the feel of a well run business in your home town. Not a rush to purchase and a hard sell. This means you may have to wait for a someone to help you but when they do you will have their attention.

Just tubes and tires very nice and the person helped and gave me suggestions about bikes for the future. Nice customer service. Will shop there again...I can not stress how important customer service is I had contacted another shop and was surprised at how rude they were they lost my business before I ever stepped in the door.

I came in as a referral - another store said I needed a major overhaul of my motor. These guys took one look at it and figured out I needed to lubricate my drive chain - problem fixed and they didnt even charge me. What a great place and I will be going back when I need another bike soon. Theyve gained a customer.

Rent the electric bikes!! They are a blast! We went over 20 miles round trip with them. Really enjoyed the ride. They are in great shape. You don’t even have to pedal.

My wife and I bought two Brompton folding bikes from DJ. After riding around Port Townsend and out to Fort Worden, we absolutely love them. They are so easy and fun I just cant believe it. Ive ridden various bikes my entire life, but these are clearly the easiest and most fun. Its really surprisingly fast and maneuverable. Thanks DJ, youre the man.

The guys here are really friendly, accommodating, and will spend the time to make sure you get what you are looking for. They also do repairs on site, which is a big deal, really... You dont want some random bike shop that has 1 or 2 electrics for sale working on your electric bike... while some components are similar, one mistake by someone inexperienced can cost you big, so I say but from the experts and have the experts service your bike.Also, there is a huge assortment of different styles and manufacturers. Unlike other stores, these guys carry rear hub, front hub, and mid drive bikes, and everything from entry level to bikes that cost more than my Civic is worth.

I purchased an electric Faraday bike here after test riding one. Very helpful and knowledgeable people, with casual and professional atmosphere. I did look around at several electric bike shops, and this was by far the best shop I visited. I am extremely satisfied with the service and my new Faraday is a wonderful bike.

I bought 2 different electric bikes from them after getting a chance to try 6 different models. When my wife liked different aspects of different bikes, they were able to find a bike that encompassed all the traits she was looking for. Their service has been quick and efficient, accommodating our timetables, explaining the operations of the bikes features, and tweaking and refining any adjustments we wanted. Highly recommended!

I stopped in to take a look at their selection of Brompton folding bikes and was not only able to look at a range of colors and options, they walked me through the folding process of the frame, let me have a test ride for a hands on experience, and helped me understand the different offerings more clearly. I am planning toward this purchase so I didnt buy a model during my visit. But when I do take the plunge, I am definitely taking them up on the opportunity to use the installment plan financing they offer through Synchrony. Very friendly and knowledgeable proprietors, definitely a must see place for any bicycling enthusiast.

Unhurried, honest and well-informed. I purchased my electric commuter bike here at the recommendation of a friend, and I couldnt be happier. They didnt try to up-sell, were great about test rides, and helped me select a good fit for my needs. I recently brought the bike in for an adjustment, and the service and attention to detail was just as high as when I initially bought it.

This shop was able to work on my older Ebike that most other shops would not. They were able to diagnose the issue with my Ebike for $35. I would recommend this shop to friends.

I didnt buy a bike here, but I have had my hybrid bike battery serviced here (cells replaced, which I furnished), and my bike tuned up. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but most importantly, honest. They have never tried to embellish the repairs needed, and the prices for repairs were extremely reasonable.

1st two transactions were good last 2 not.Purchased bike and xtra battery pac.When I attempted to buy another battery mos later the employee told me I had to wait til the owner came back from vac the following week.I decided to wait til I took the bike in for minor service as the front chain ring was worn and needed derailluer adjustment.Purchased and ordered battery and was told they would have it ready fri.{this was mon@ 100pm}I thought that was long since mid Jan is slow for most bike shops? And i need the bike for almost daily use.Called them on fri and employee told me that chain ring would not arrive until the following Tues.I asked why it would take 7 bus, days for them to obtain a basic bike part that a lot of shops have in stock?He was rude and hung up the phone.Mechanic called later and said I needed a bunch of expensive additional work done to bike.I told them that specific work had been done by my local shop less than 2 mos earlier.Very disappointed, I understand in the middle of July everyone is riding their bike and 10 bikes are ahead of mine for repairs,but not Jan 12th.For a part that I could order from any online parts retailer and have delivered to my house in 2 days?No longer a customer.

Demonstrated outstanding integrity while selling me the perfect bike.The fellow that sold me the bike was pretty busy at the time I happened to come in and made an error in the total cost --- I should say that the overall experience was nevertheless great, he was easy to talk to and work with.But I was blown away when the owner called me the next day to tell me that they had overcharged me by $100. I would never have known had he not called. Its seldom that a business has the chance to show me that theyre so trustworthy and focused on treating their customers very well. Electric & Folding Bikes NW just showed me that in spades.I should add that while I was looking at bikes, someone came in with a problem involving, I think, a blown fuse. Fix was done on the spot, no charge. I like these guys!

This is the only electric bike shop in town where theres not a whiff or undercurrent of sexism. One of the part time mechanics is arrogant with women, but ask for the owner DJ if you want to be treated with sincere respect and dignity. I travel from the opposite side of the city just to get straight-up customer service with no little microaggressions or sexist joking BS.

Just brought my bike in again to this great shop and they were very honest, straight-forward and knowledgeable. Instead of talking me into expensive (and unnecessary) repairs, they fixed a minor problem for no charge. Will bring my bike back again for regular maintenance!

They seem to know their folding bikes but the staff was kind of rude when I brought my bike in for repair and didnt call me to tell me my bike was ready for pickup as they said they would. It also smells like that horrible fake vape flavor inside.

I bought my Stromer ST-2 from Mike and his shop when the Stromer ST-2 initially came out about 2 years ago, and Im so happy I did. He has maintained it, ordered parts for it, and when it had difficulty charging and updating it, he provided a new charger and took care of the update on his own time and free of charge!!! You would be silly to order a bike online, especially an electric bike, when you have an actual shop with excellent service, selection, and a mission to get people out of their cars and on bikes, even with Seattles hills. Do yourself a favor---visit the shop and take a bike he recommends out for a test drive. Youll be happier and healthier.

Terrific buying experience. there was no hard sell, just good information about different bike and the options. weve got an eassist cargo bike that is fantastic.

Went to the store to purchase a blix vika plus. Was there the night prior and told the salesman I would return the next day. I called them and told them that I was coming to purchase it. The salesman whom I spoke with said they would build me the bike they had available. When I got to the store I noticed the bike they tried to give me was scuffed, scratched and had wear marks on the tires. The odometer also said it had 4 miles on it. The salesman said he would have built me a new bike from a box they had in the back prior to arrival. Instead they tried to give me a demo bike at full price. The salesman then said that it doesnt matter because the bike was going to get scuffed anyways. The salesman gave me an attitude and seemed like he didnt want to build me a new bike. I was going to purchase two bikes from this company and now I will purchase zero.

DJ was super helpful and accommodating. Our folding bikes were built quickly and we had a great experience.

I highly recommend Elec & Folding Bikes. The owner DJ answered all my questions honestly and helped me immensely. He showed me several elect bike options. He did not try to steer me away from lower priced models, but was honest with his facts about each. I ended up buying an Ezzbike Sprint and am very pleased with the purchase.
