I originally called Import motors late 2019 about concern with the wear on the rear brakes of my car. They were helpful in asking me several questions and they indicated they would estimate them for me but they probably had more wear on them and no need to rush. Their honesty won me over and I decided to take my car to them for an oil change and 100,000 mile inspection. Again the inspection findings, estimates were fair and reasonably priced. At no time was there pressure to perform any of the maintenance findings. I chose 4 of the 5 recommendations and was impressed with the in and out same day professional service. Great company to work with!

I had my older S60 towed into the shop after talking with the owner on the phone. Car was diagnosed, I received a quote and explanation of procedure, and all work completed. After the repair, I had some concern related to leaks, either oil or other fluids. The mechanic cleaned up all surfaces, and owner had me bring car back in 2 weeks to verify that all remains clean. Very happy with the customer service and considerate handling of my vehicle. Would highly recommend:)

I took my Audi once,.for some work in.transmission.and.the.work.was fine and therefore the three stars. Trying to schedule an appointment later, however, was conducted by most unprofessional way possible and in the span of over a week, with promises.of someone will call me back.and.no ever did, not responding at the time they asked me to call back and canceling appointment at last minutes.

Service was very good. Saved over 220 dollars by getting my 7,500 mile service here rather than at the Volvo dealer which was WAY over priced. These guys will continue to get my business if every visit continues to be like the first one. We all know that imports from europe can get pricey especially if you go through the dealership. It is hard to find a good mechanic, but so far so good! Keep up the good work guys!

Been taking my amg Mercedes here after another shop closed down where i had it serviced. You will save way more going here over the stealership. Plus the owner is a down to earth guy who shoots straight with you. They even dropped me at a starbucks and picked me up so i could work while they fixed my car. Even though Im getting rid of my leased AMG, Ill definitely bring my next car here. Solid small shop, good mechanics and owner.

Import Motors in Schaumburg, IL is an excellent shop! They were very knowledgeable about the make and model of my car. Their professional approach proved to be very successful because they were able to replace a clutch in one business day. This is because they verified my vehicle and pre-ordered the correct parts so when I arrived at the shop they were able to instantly start repairing the car. They even worked after-hours to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. I would recommend anyone to use this shop for car maintenance or performance work.

I found this shop by accident three years ago in my search for a specialized independent Subaru dealer in the area. John and Mike are great guys that are customer-centric, friendly and fair when it comes to part costs and labor. Ive seen them on a couple of occasions recommend to customers that selling the car, rather than a costly repair bill was the best course of action, you cant beat that from a service standpoint! Not to mention, its refreshing to not be up-sold on a bunch of unnecessary add-ons like you get at other chain repair shops. I dont even live in the area and am willing to drive 10-15 miles because of the great service I get here!If youre looking for an honest shop that specializes in Subaru, BMW or just about any car you have, Import Motors is the place to go.

I had a motor on my range Rover replaced here, first Jon took 4 months, excuse after excuse. Then the motor had issues failing again, he did done repairs this is with only 3k miles later. And again the motor failed 10k later and they refuse to service it. Additionally he also replaced my X5 motor claimed it was ready and I went there only to find it needed another motor prior. Be careful with these guys, they will take your money not do the work and wont stand behind it.

I cannot recommend this place. My honest opinion is that this shop is a glorified lube joint. If you have a foreign vehicle in need of an oil change, this place will probably be just fine. As for any repairs, I would look elsewhere.. as I will now be doing. Lots of promises they cannot keep, timing they cannot honor, and a surprising lack of certain knowledge. An examination and quote that was first stated to come within 24hrs, came 5 days later (with prompting). My vehicle was bumped countless times over 7 days so the shop could turn over quick oil changes. Got nonsensical runaround over the phone a few times, and to be real.. all made-up bullsh!t. Overall nice guys, but not really what Im looking for when requesting multi-thousand dollar services. Supplied a list of about 8 items that needed attention, 4 were completely ignored, 3 were shrugged off with an IDK, and the other was handled (fluid change.. no surprise). I ended up fixing the 3 issues that stumped them within an hour of having it returned. Having done these things myself, I learned that the excuses or diagnosis were complete bullsh!t, and they never even looked at them. Springs, shocks, rotors and brakes all received a clean bill of health.. however, after looking into this myself, have found a spring in catastrophic failure, 2 worn and malfunctioning shocks, a warped rotor, and pads that need replaced. I would like to assume that the fluid changes at the very least had taken place (as that is what they seem to concentrate on) but honestly, I do wonder.. I will however give the benefit of the doubt. I chose this place based on earlier reviews, feel like this needs to be added to the pool.
