Our 2007 Yukons alternator decided to die while heading home (Johns Creek, GA). I pulled over and the alternator smoked and actually caught fire! Luckily we had some water on hand to douse the flames. Ashly got us a tow truck, replaced the alternator and supertine belt and we were back on the road in less than 3 hours. Bought a car to drive back to Arizona and he inspected the entire car and gave me a run down of everything I had the option of maintenancing and didn’t try to get me for any of it he did my oil change and was straight to the point I wish he was here in Arizona ! Well done Ash! A few weeks ago I called his shop while in Tampa and made an appointment. I was heading down to Sarasota the next day.Upon arrival, he diagnosed the issue with my car in literally 10-15 seconds. The next day the part was supposed to be in. For some reason, USPS did not have the part on the truck. He told me not to worry.After 2 hours, a fabricated weld on the exhaust system of my Nissan Sentra was installed and ready to go. He felt so bad he only charged me an hour of labor.Even though I was more than 1,000 miles away from home, Ashley treated me as if I was family. I have yet to have a mechanic offer me his own personal car to drive if I needed to run an errand instead of waiting! He felt bad the ordered part did not show.I was treated fairly by a professional who was friendly and offered strait talk on how he could fix/ patch my situation. I took my Tacoma to a well established mechanic on 301 and was appalled by the price for their work. They charged me almost $80 for an oil change for a four cylinder truck. I called Sarasota Mechanic, and he did an outstanding job for hundreds less than what the mechanics on 301 wanted for a steering rack installation. He was also super friendly and informative. I will certainly use his services again.

Needed a new alternator for my Ford Focus and after being ripped off so many times by my former mechanic, I decided to search on google for a new place to go. I called Ashley and he answered the first time and was very polite on the phone. He quoted me a more than reasonable price for the repair and even offered to come to me to do it. This was very convenient for me, as I mainly work from home. He showed up the following morning prompt at the time that he said he would be there and was able to do the repair in a matter of minutes. After the repair I became a little leery that he was like all the other money sucking places I had taken my car before, the car was making a funny noise. I called him back the following day (slightly angry) and he politely told me he would come back and look at it. He told me it needed a new wheel bearing and I left him to work on it. When finished I asked him what the damage was and he told me NO CHARGE! What?!? I was extremely pleased with the service I had received, and will be calling him every time for now on. I have had many car repairs done by other mechanics and numerous times have left with more problems then I went in with. Never ever has a mechanic before took blame for the problems and not charged me for the additional repairs. I may have to change my views on mechanics now, they are not all lying thieves. I definitely recommend Ashley if you need an honest mechanic who wont break your bank :)

Ashly helped me out in an emergency situation with my young children on a long holiday weekend when he was closed. My car was not operable and I was faced with being without a car with my kids for at least 4 days. Ashly was kind and helpful. He helped me find a tow truck, opened up his shop and fixed my car in a short tie frame at a fair price. The cable to my gear shifter snapped on my trail blazer, locking the shifter in the park position. He diagnosed it quickly, explained how he fixed it and I was on my way.I will definitely use him again and highly recommend his repair service.

The owner is honest. He wont do anymore then needs to be done. His prices seem reasonable too. I had new brake pads put in, and he waited patiently for me to get the money together to do this. Someone recommended Ashley to me after my car had brake problems. I went to another mechanic near by but went to see Ashley to make sure I was getting a good deal minutes later. Thank god I did because he did the same job in less then 24 hours, for 300 dollars less and was much more honest about the parts that needed to be replaced.

Found Ashley on-line as we were from out of town and AAA only gave us a jump start and told us we probably needed a new battery for our 2-year old car. Called Ashley on our way to Walmart to get a new battery. He said not to get it, confident that we didnt need a new battery. He came over to our hotel, checked our battery and, sure enough, he was absolutely right. One of the battery terminal connections was severely corroded so the car wasnt getting a good connection. He found a suitable replacement, had a heck of a time getting the old one off, but his patience and perseverance paid off! He replaced the connector and we had a working car again! I dont know much about cars and Im always afraid of mechanics taking advantage of my ignorance and having me pay for services that my car doesnt actually require. NOT ONLY did he charge me HALF of what another mechanic asked for replacing my brakes-he was also very patient with me coming up with more and more things that worried me about my car-he took a look at everything and fixed every little thing he came across that was wrong. He was extremely knowledgeable. I called him on a Sunday because my headlight burned out and he said bring your car over. I was a bit skeptical at first when he told me he was at home, but Im happy I went. He even did a full diagnostics test and cleaned out my oxygen intake valve. Sarasota Mechanic is very professional,had engine issue of strange engine ticking.Ash fixed the issue with the engine wasvery polite and honest.i will come back to Sarasota Mechanic.very reasonable cost $.
