We love this place! There are a lot of very nice and reasonably priced items. Multiple vendors so you get a nice variety. We live in Colorado but were visiting for the weekend and weve been here one time before because we like this place.

Great, clean wonderful selection of many kinds of imports. We went there for a large (20 high) outdoor terracotta pot & had a hard time making a decision because there were so many! Highly recommended!

Mainly imports from Mexico, South America, India with high prices.. I tried all of the buildings. Felt like the Akron from the 70s in California or a version of Pier 1 Imports. Perhaps it was just too hot and I was tired and cranky. People working there were friendly, just felt like it wasnt a fit for what I was looking for - memories, crafts, art from New Mexico, including the local tribes. It has been about 20 years since the last time I visited, that could be part of it. Things change and my tastes are pickier than they used to be. Better to go to the pueblos or further outside town.

Nadine was wonderful. We stopped by on Saturday and received an excellent recommendation on the color of lamp shades, perfect. We came back Sunday for some shorter lamps and she helped us with a bed and vanity mirror too! Wonderful taste and outstanding service!

This place looks like a “tourist trap” from the road so we avoided it until we ran out of things to do. Well, we weren’t exactly wrong. The positives: tons of planters and outdoor decor. The negatives: the pricing is kind of hilarious. I know there are different vendors (which, by the way, makes it frustrating to pay because the owners frequently aren’t around) but the prices are absolutely hilarious. I saw a Huichol necklace identical to one I’d bought downtown earlier in the day for $90. I paid $25 for mine! There was an Asian vendor selling knockoffs of Coddies (look them up). Many of the “Native American” items were from the Middle East, Asia, or India. Prairie Dog Glass should be considered entirely separately. Their work is amazing, although the glass worker there didn’t greet or acknowledge us. Much more reasonably priced than the other vendors.TL;DR: go for the glass, don’t buy overpriced imports!

Beautiful stuff, not customer friendly. Lots of great merchandise, without prices. They wouldnt call the Albuquerque location to get prices. We wanted 3 very large pots, comparably priced at $500 on similar pots. They just said sorry, come back later. We dont have later. Lost $1,500 in sales.

Jackalope is one of my favorite places on Earth. They have unique imports and a glass blower on site. There is furniture, clothing, beads, jewelry, kitchenwares, landscaping materials, housewares, knick knacks, rugs, food, souvenirs, anything you can think of. Its just the coolest place. Highly recommended to locals and visitors!! I do miss the prairie dogs though.

My favorite and a destination on its own! While it is a home and garden store with pots, home decor and yard art—expect plenty of hidden gems and New Mexican goods! Native american woven tapestries, beads and turquoise, woven baskets, piñion pine goods, glass blowing, pottery and more can be explored within. If you need gifts from your trip to New Mexico, this is the ultimate stop.

Tons of vendors bringing the southwest products from locally here in NM, Mexico, Peru, everywhere. You’ll find pottery, glassware, clothes, greeting cards, rugs, furniture, purses, alpaca blankets, living plants, metal yard art, blown glass, candles, decor, planters, pens, toys, and everything else. It’s all here. Several buildings plus large outdoor area so you can shop quickly or take your time and get more than you can imagine for your home or gifts.

Cool place - found some unique finds

Lots of great souvenirs and pottery, rugs etc. Some of the items were a little pricey but overall fun to walk around. The one thing I disliked was it had several vendors which made shopping a little more difficult as you have to pay for items at specific areas and its not clearly defined

This place is amazing! So much to see and do there. I visited with my cousin looking for plants for large pots. Brenda went the extra mile to help us find a similar size pot, reccomend plants and combinations, then mock the plants up in a pot to see what we would have once we got home. Then we were able to keep all the plants together and put them right into the pots! Im looking forward to the glass blowing classes they offer here!!!

If this place had food I would probably move in here. I LOVED THIS PLACE, as well as the other places that are also in this location. It was just short of mind blowing, it was pretty amazing.There were so many choices and not just pots but garden art, fresh blown glass items, garden art and a gallery(XANADU)that had everything from furniture to rugs. Ask Mark to share with you how some of the pieces were made or what they were made out of. I WOULD recommend this place.

This place is full of amazing art and nature. I loved that they had an ice cream truck. I also got to watch the glassblowers help tourists make their own glass ! The nursery and greenhouse were really cool too.

I truly love this place and can wander hours! What is it I like most? That I can travel the entire globe in a single afternoon, experiencing the richness of different cultures through goods brought together here for purchase!

Genuine wares, affordable prices, incredible diversity of housewares, decorative items, gifts, etc. Prairie dogs outside! People actively blowing glass! Outdoor area full of lawn ornaments and ceramics! A more gallery type building in the back! This place has it all. I basically had to leave because I couldnt take how much more money I would potentially spend. Definitely stop in.

If you just shopping for interesting stuff it is a nice spot for wondering. There was a cool glass shop in the back where you could take glass blowing classes, so that was cool. But if your visiting form out of town and want a souvenir, Ill look elsewhere, stuff made in China, India, Vietnam. And some from the USA.

A perennial favorite for good reason! An international market w/stuff from all over, and made on site too. A great place to find unique gifts, local goodies to make gift baskets, or the perfect pot for the plants on the portal. Prairie dog village is a big hit with kids.

Margo was amazing! The glass work produced here is stunning. It was amazing to see such complex and beautiful pieces out of such a simple shop. Their talent is obvious. Classes are invaluable as well. Take the class and find out it is much harder than it looks.

Fun shopping! Lots of small shops in one location. Fresh fruit from CO to clothing from Central America to plants to gifts to furniture. You can watch glass blowers and prairie dogs. Decent prices.

We had a great time taking a glass blowing class at Prairie Dog Glass! The instructors were super nice and great teachers. We had time enough to make a vase, paper weight, and flower.

I shop at this store several times whenever I visit Santa Fe (typically yearly). The owners and their assistants are consistently kind and knowledgeable. The merchandise is of very high quality, always interesting and unusual, and constantly updated. Some of my favorite clothing was purchased here, and I always receive unsolicited positive comments about it. So I intend to keep returning as often as I can.

They have some Great stuff. Blown glass, Great tables made from Huge slices of wood, wooden chairs. Great bead work, metal work the best.

Travelled out of the way to go to this store thinking they didnt close until 6pm and they closed at 5pm. Even called to check hours and their own message said they didnt close until 6 pm. If youre going to run a business, you should do a better job of communicating to your customers. No plans to go back!

Wonderful place. Not the same as years ago but the various vendors have brought a similar variety of cool items the the public demands. If my truck were bigger and our customs more lenient Id spend much more😁

Quaint, full of local crafts and furniture items. Large facility (their branch in Albuquerque is even larger). Good prices on everything.

If you are looking for a unique place to shop for anything from South American Imports to Fine Art in a casual and fun setting this is the place. They have Prairie Dog and Mules and most of it is outdoors so you can enjoy the beautiful Santa Fe weather without mission out on your shopping experience.

Theres so many unique, handcrafted items that it would be safe to say, youll find something youll just have to bring home.A New Mexico institution, I started visiting Jackalope in Bernalillo, N.M. over 29 years ago. It is a must stop destination anytime Im visiting Santa Fe, or Albuquerque N.M.

I remember the days of Jackalopes before the new owner took over. Everything was imported from Mexico and was ALWAYS a family must to stop and shop for hours. I raved about this place to my wife yesterday and told her we need to stop in. Well I was displeased at the hike in pricing stuff from India Pakastan etc... Outrageous high pricing and individual vendors made purchasing real inconvenience. R.I.P. old Jackalopes...

We have lived in NM since 84. Our first visit to a Jackalope was in Ft. Worth original store. It was fun and unique then so when we moved here there was only the one in Santa Fe, the later one in Bernalillo is gone. It was always expensive but unique. The prairie dog colony was always fun. They once had a really nice nursery selling things that belong in the desert. BUT it has really changed. They gave up on the nursery. Did away with a huge stand of bee balm--so gorgeous and began importing the stinking furniture from India. Horrible, ugly stinking-- it imparts a horrible smell. I guess thats for the elite of Santa Fe all the HIndu and Budda junk but we managed to purchase some nice things from Mexico which have stood the test of time. It it the same fun place? The last two times we visited not a person working there acknowledged us. The quality of merchandise is poor. Consider it the slow-burn gouge before you hit the plaza.
