Recently was shopping for a new bed and mattress and stopped in American Home in Santa Fe. We were helped by Tony who was just great. We managed to find a bed, 2 side tables and a new mattress just a little over our original budget. I would recommend visiting if you are looking for furniture they people who work here are very helpful and friendly.

Sadly the value here has declined over the years but the prices havent. Used to they never had sales now its common place and the quality products are no longer in abundance like years past.

I custom ordered a stressless chair and was told by the salesman on the floor that it would take two months to get. That was adjusted to three months when I sat down to actually purchase it. When the end of the three months was nearing, I called to ask if there was any way to check on the arrival time and they told me no. After the three months past, I called again and spoke to someone else and she told me she could look that up for me, so the first guy was wrong and unhelpful. When she did, she told me it was going to take five months now, and that my sales person would be in touch to keep me updated, which she has not ever been or done, nor has she returned my calls. So far the customer service has been quite lacking. Had I known it would take five months to get the chair, I might not have ordered it. And even if that is not their fault and unavoidable (I don’t know if that’s the case or not) it would be nice to at least be updated and have my calls returned.

We were greeted warmly by Adan very polite and knowledgeable. Also very patient and helpful. The store is attractive and they have many items in stock. It was a very enjoyable shopping experience. I highly recommend them.

Marianne was so helpful, patient, and professional as my husband and I pick out a couch and chair. We know we are not easy clients as our style is on the opposite side of the spectrum. It also didnt help that we brought our 2 year old with us. She worked with us every step of the way and even help entertain our child a little while we reached a decision. American home had the selection we were looking for and a couch my husband and I could choose to compromise.We will definitely shop there again and Ill always ask for Marianne!

Mary Ann at the Santa Fe, NM (St. Michaels location) was so attentive, professional and extremely efficient in placing my order in an out of stock item that was about to sell out again (the Arabella Credenza.) She also helped me get the Memorial Day discount, thank you, Mary Ann. I love this store, have bought several unique pieces from this store before, but Mary Ann has definitely made it my go to store for furniture and accessories.

When in & talked 2 Adan Martinez a salesman, he answered all my questions & took care of business. First class all the way not trying 2 over power you a relax atmosphere. I recommend Adan Martinez & American Home should be glad that he works for them !!!

I am very disappointed with your customer service.I walked in today at about 10 am to look at your kitchen tables and mattresses. I looked around and there were2 persons there and no one helped me. I took my business somewhere else.Never againwill I step into your store.l

Weird vibe inside (bad lighting I thnk) but friendly staff and good prices. Ive been a repeat customer for years. Just dont let them sell you the extra warranty for spills on your new sofa - its a total scam when you go to file a claim. Other than that, go check it out and have fun with all the stuff.

I was greeted immediately when I entered the store, and was shown the item that I subsequently bought He explained how it worked, how other similar ones worked, and showed me fabric samples. I felt he knew his merchandise very well. ;He also explained how their delivery system worked, what they could and couldnt do about my old one, and we chose a date for delivery.

We made a purchase with Marianne and she was very helpful! We also called to cancel an item and she took care of it right away! We will be back if need more furniture!

The beautiful couch that now graces my house from American Home Furniture feels like it came from a dream. It is velvety soft and was delivered with the same smooth experience. The movers wore masks as well as I. My favorite part was my great new friend, Alfonso handling the sale and his cool character that made the experience all the more special. Thank you AHM!!

Very disappointed and dissatisfied with their service. We ordered a special order sleeper sofa/couch combo back in December 2020, paid our deposit told estimated date for it to come in would be March. March has come and gone. Weve had to call on various occasions to find out when its coming in and all we get is one excuse after another. Meanwhile they have my $1,000.00 deposit and no couch. Very poor customer service.

American Furniture has a great selection and has been doing business in New Mexico for decades. My parents were home builders and American has always been the place to go for quality furnishings. I stopped in the Santa Fe store several weeks ago and purchased two pieces. Excellent customer service provided by Bill Servent. 👍

Really amazing furniture, but its also a bit high. But, the furniture is artistic and avant garde, so the higher pricing makes sense. Its like the dream store for furniture, so it is definitely worth looking at. I loved the bicycle table they had.

No masks on faces of 2 families (4 & 2) and one employee. Families were wearing on their chins, one employee without who complained she was suffocating when I asked her to wear.I had called and asked to do pick up out side. Told not possible. Ran in to get 1 item. Told I could have done completely by pick up.There are signs everywhere about hearing masks but told difficult to enforce. Yikes and boo 😒

Tony the salesman very helpful in the last 2 purchases I needed an accent chair asked what would come in fast he told me what was available and came in quick and just now ordered a dresser from him that will come on weds he took the time to find out what was in stock and very very helpful and nice thank you once again . And on another not I am still waiting for a piece of furniture from Ashley that has been pushed up till the end of November I can’t wait that long thank you American home

The “manager” was very unprofessional and didn’t treat my family very well. We decided to go down the street to Ashley’s furniture, where we were treated amazingly. Ashley’s got our business for all the new furniture we were looking for. Would recommend avoiding UN-American Home Furniture. Their prices are very misleading also. Save time and money by going to Ashley’s.

American Furniture has been my go to for over 50 years! Still have some of that wonderful furniture from the 60s. I am so grateful they are still here doing what they has always done superbly.

I am very disappointed from the service we received. I went in on Sunday, Oct. 20th. with my wife. We were looking at dining tables. The customer service there was poor. The women who helped us seemed like she did not want to be there and kept walking away from us. We found a table we were interested in and had a sales price tag on it. We wanted to buy it that day and we explained to this sales rep. She told us this was an old tag and would need to speak with manager. She yelled at manager from across the way. The manager did not want to help her right away. When the sales rep. asked if they could honor this tag that was STILL UP. The manager stated no and just walked off. The sales rep told us the manager said, No, and the sales rep walked away from us not even asking if we needed other assistance. After that my wife and I just left because we could not believe the poor customer service we received and the MISLEADING Prices that are up! I have NEVER had this poor service before!

I would never again purchase anything from American Home Furniture. We purchased a very expensive southwest style couch, during our initial inspection the couch was in perfect condition. Upon pick up it was wrapped in plastic wrap, when we got the couch home the corner was damaged (torn) and the furniture decorative nail was missing. In addition, the couch was a sleeper sofa, when we finally got around to opening the sleeper, the mattress was replaced with a cheap extremely this mattress. I would never shop at this store again and caution anyone from shopping here as well, the store and its manager is a total waste of a customers time.

The gentleman that assisted us, Bill Servent, was very professional and knowledgeable. We were desperate for a couch, after having gotten the runaround from Ashley Furniture, and thanks to Bill, we had one in our living room that same day!!

I got new couches for my house and it was great. The salesperson went over all the details and spent the time to ensure I was getting the best deal for my dollar. Delivery was here when they said and my couches assembled (legs/cushions/throw pillows) and placed where I wanted them in a timely and professional manner.

I purchased a recliner from American Home Furniture, I paid Over $1000.00 and also purchased the extended warranty. Well one year and 2 months later I sat in the recliner and put the chair in full recliner postion, I purchased the recliner because I was released from a 10 day hospital stay and due to breathing problems I was not able to sleep in a bed. The chair was stuck in a reclining position, I called the company and was told they could not help me, Im stuck in the chair for several hours, they told me to call the paramedics, I did and they came and lifted me out of the chair. I called the warranty company, they said they would communicate with the store to make sure I had really purchased the chair and warrenty from them. Another month and a half has passed, not able to use my chair at all, I called an electrician and they charged me $180.00 to come and disconnect the springs so that I was able to at least sit in the chair with the foot rest down. Finally in April a technician came to assess the situation and concluded the swith motor needed to be replaced. It is now July and was informed the part is being sent from China, in the meantime I am suffering so much pain in my back and buttocks, the chair is in a postion that keeps my neck in a very awkward postion and consequently I am not able to get healing rest. I asked for the district manager to call me. Perhaps i could select a chair that is in stock, maybe allow me a credit, I am at a loss and Im very hurt over this situation.The chair cost more than my monthly income, Im 78 years old and have some serious health issues. NOT good to treat seniors like this. I KNOW due to the pandemic things are difficult and services are limited...I KNOW.

While the ripped up, spotty floor makes this place feel a little run down, the people were super helpful. We went in to buy a mattress for my 4 year old and the employee was welcoming and helpful in finding something comfortable on a budget. She made it pretty quick and easy as well.

Vicki has sold us many pieces of furniture; she is an expert and fantastic person, too. Daniel, who is in the delivery department of the store, is also fabulous and goes beyond the call of duty. He got a full sized sofa into our car without blinking! Lots of furniture to choose from at this store! Highly recommend Vicki and this location of American Home Furniture on St. Michael’s.

Good experience purchasing a couch, loveseat & coffee table. Saleswoman (Lydia) greeted us & left us to look around without pressure. She made herself available as soon as we had any questions & even had people come move a coffee table over by the couch we wanted to see if it worked together. Delivery was also excellent. Very professional & polite guys. Only down side was waiting nearly 2 weeks for delivery, would have preferred sooner, but we live fairly far out & I guess they don’t come up here that often.

We had a wonderful experience finding items we needed for our new home at American Home Furniture. Tony, the salesman we worked with, provided helpful suggestions and ideas and we couldn’t have been happier. The delivery of everything came when expected and the delivery guys were polite and careful. We will definitely go there first when we need home furnishings.

Really disappointed. Tried to buy a recliner chair, First was they had to deliver from Albuquerque, but couldnt tell me morning or afternoon. Then they said I could take the floor model but, no discount. When I explained that my mother just had a stroke and I lived out of town and we were fine on what ever day, i just have to know morning or afternoon, she replied by letting us know about the extended warranty we should buy on a recliner.With furniture stores going out of business everyday, you would think that customer service would be a priority. Its definitely not here. If you want to feel like your at at used car lot, then this is the place.

I havent shopped here for years and my recent experience in Santa Fe reminded me why I dont. When we entered the store, there were only 2 other customers. I saw many employees walking around but no one asked if they could help us. After 15 minutes I called out for help. I tentative saleswoman showed up in a couple of minutes. I picked out a table and chairs quickly and it took her a long time to check its availability on the computer. Then we had questions about leather couches and chairs, and again it took very long for the saleswoman to check the computer regarding colors. Then, she told us she was also working with another customer at the same time. When we were ready to check out, she took an very long time to ring up the items on the computer, triple checking each keystroke. After 3.5 painful hours, we finally left the store and will never return!

I stopped in to look at sofas - was approached by Andrew whom asked if we had any questions to let him know. I looked around for quite some time and ended up finding a sofa but what really impressed me was that Andrew had that perfect balance of helping without being obtrusive. It was a pleasure to work with him from the sales process to delivery. Thanks Andrew!!

I have nothing but praise for American Home Furniture. Within minutes of entering the store with an idea of what I was looking for (red loveseats), I was having an engaging tour of their expansive store with a very knowledgeable sales representative. I found a pair (the last pair) of red loveseats-- just what I was looking for. The price was reasonable, the quality excellent. They were delivered today, and they have transformed my living room. The delivery men were super-- courteous and helpful in placing the furniture in the right location. Kudos to American Home!

Sales lady claimed that minimum payment on a credit card would be the total balance / months remaining on the loan. NOPE. AHF requires 3.5% of the balance each month. Sales lady pulled the bait and switch on us. She told us that we would have a minimum payment of ~90 a month... and the bills are showing up for $180. Make sure you talk with the manager before your big purchase to ensure you understand your terms.

Sofa arrived right on schedule, picked up at store. Feet were not attached and I couldnt find them, called the store and they told me where to look, right where they said. Also very helpful in the store without pressure. Thanks Lydia.

Be warned! First their delivery Truck hit my car and they denied it. Then one month after my warranty ran out on my recliner it the fake leather started cracking so I went to the store to see what could be done. The manager acted like it would be no big deal and make it right. I just had to wait for a call back. When that call happened, I was informed that they would send a repair man out and I would be responsible for the bill.

Wow I have never walked into a place where there is pushy people wanting to make a dime. Their selection was overpriced and they kept adding on so they can have more money. I would not advise people to walk in the store!

A gentleman came up to my husband and I while we were looking at a bedroom set. When my husband began to tell him that we had bought one here a few years ago, he walked off while my husband was in mid sentence, not asking us if we needed help, we were looking for a livingroom set. 4 years agi we spent about $12,000.00 on furniture at American and after the way we were treated by this man, we will never spend another cent. Went to Albuquerque and bought a livingroom set from a competitor of American Furn. You lost an $8 thousand dollar sale Mr. Rude at American!

DO NOT FINANCE ANYTHING!!!!!They use comety.bank. look at the complaints....my 12 month contract that was interest free.......Interest started at 7 months....then late fees also started at 7 months.....I had my auto pay through my bank.7th month they added $47 interest8th month they added $36 interest9th month they added $42 interestI called and asked what the hell was going on, they said I paid late...I was on autopay I advised paid same day.Also payments were still going on but they added weird amounts of interest.I finally filed with the federal Reserve after $580 of fees were added before my 12 mth interest free account concluded.Management at American Home Furniture said they pass my complaint to management.They did nothing, they dont care.Comety bank, their finances company reversed all the charges after I filed.CAUTION using their interest free credit. Multiple complaints and American home Furniture does not care.I won finally but I shouldnt have to fight like this, no one should!Im not going back after this. If this is their after sales service....…screw that!!!!! Theyll take your complaint.....Oh your expecting a resolution?NOShop elsewhere is my advise,!

Very kind staff to show me every piece of furniture in the object I was looking for... Did not buy that day. But enjoyed the time at American Home Furniture.

Well what can I say. This place is way overpriced for the quality or lack of to be honest. I have purchased many sets of furniture and other items so I can make this claim. Many of the items are made of fiber board which has not stood the test of time.

Purchased a clearance loveseat, sales people ok. Pickup personell need to be more people freindly.

BE WARNED! Our complaint about chair problems have gone unanswered for a month. A guy showed up yesterday and ascertained that we had been sold a different model chair (2 actually) than we ordered.I described the problem in detail on several phone messages (you seldom get a human on the line) and the technician who arrived yesterday hadnt a clue as to the problem. We might get a resolution within two months. He doesnt know if he can even get the parts.We will NEVER try to deal with these scammers again. We were told by their staff (!!!) that the sales staff has a fairly high turnover and will say anything to make a sale.

Good brand of furniture but takes time to be delivered. I would recommend them over Ashleys by any means!
