HG is one of our favorite stores, the S.L.O. location is smaller but high volume of turnover so they get it all at some point! Unfortunately they dont get as much of the larger furniture and outdoor decor, we need a bigger store! They do get tons of new items every week though, the store is jam packed but we like the finding so it works fine for us. Its hard to leave here empty handed! As if we didnt love HG enough already, they have a full end cap of rainbow items for June pride month(see pics), very nice to see, kudos to Samantha the store manager for having this done. The whole staff team here are great too, some long lasting employees who seem to like what theyre doing and are friendly even when its super busy. HG is always a fun store to check out for pretty much anything and everything! A++

Lots of very useful stuff and great stuff you didnt know you needed

We love to shop and this is by far the best. We just purchased a new home. Well it seems that after all the packing and unpacking. Getting everything in its place. Come to find out we needed more. We have a eclectic style and knew home goods would have it. They also carry contemporary furnishings as well as nautical, buddist, religious. They dont have a lot of cashiers. I figured they keep the shelves full. I did get the pleasure of two cashiers these girls have a hard job yet with a genuine smile and positive attitude. THANK YOU JESSICA AND MARTINA I WISH I COULD START EVERY MORNING WITH THIER ENTHUSIASM. NOW ON TO THE SERIOUS STUFF. IT IS VERY OVERSTOCKED. STORE IS CLEAN BUT SHELVES WERE SLIGHTLY UNORGANIZED. AND THIS IS FOR SHOPPERS EVERYWHERE!!!! Be nice patient loving no bad attitude! I do a few reviews and I always have to experience genuine insanity. Be nice and dont pick your nose.

So much new stuff, always fun things to find,, but it was overcrowded with merchandise.

Great store they have a little of everything

SHOUT OUT to David for outstanding customer service. My roommate and I were looking for a mat while he was organizing and he started a sweet conversation with us and shared how he takes passion in organizing. He was considerate and hardworking. We also saw him putting away carts as we unloaded after our purchase and he helped us put the stuff in our car. David was friendly and professional.

Pretty good store. They have quite a selection of unusual products most of which are good, handy and unique. I have found a number of things here that are not available in the big name discount department stores. In many cases theyre items that I am happy to add to my collection of useful things

Cant believe the womans toilet has been broken since 11/26. 17 days. Otherwise visit was great.

Love this place! Not 5 stars because it is often cluttered and hard to get through the isles. The personnel there seems more interested in standing around and gossiping more than they are concerned about working efficiently to stock shelves and clear isles. I also noticed when someone asked them for help they were not very attentive. Kind of like, it was not their department so they dont know and they didnt bother to try to find someone who could assist the customer.

Very unorganized!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Not only do they have broken, scratched, and dirty stuff (check what you buy before paying for it) but also their staff is incompetent. I bought $60 curtains last week and I asked for the return policy. The cashier told me that I could return it within 30 days and the receipt was not needed. I explicitly asked if the return would go to my card or if it was store credit and I was told itd be to my card, I asked again even with no receipt? and the cashier said yes! Today I went back with the curtains, and guess what. No return to card, just store credit. The manager was super cold and showed poor customer care service. So now I have $60 on store credit for one of the worst stores in town.

Not a good experience. Found a set of two pictures that had been marked down except that the glass on one of the pictures was cracked. They would not mark it down anymore. To replace the glass would have been very expensive and the were not willing to mark it down anymore
