In my first job as an Electronics Engineer and as the new guy I had to service the high tech equipment in the department. So I can appreciate the difference between good service and smart service. The team at G&S Service find the real problem and solve it in the most cost effective way. They are real professionals and I cannot say enough to do them justice. Appointments are hard to get, but that reflects their popularity and expertise. For me its worthwhile waiting for the best and I know that if they can get here sooner, then they will.

Was referred to G&S Appliance Repairs by SLO Idlers. Cold called them Monday morning and they promptly scheduled my maintenance appointment for Wednesday at 11. They arrived on time, serviced our Maytag Washer & Dryer, and recommended replacement of a few parts. Clint & Bill were very professional and explained their repairs. Prices are reasonable.

We had a very good experience with G&S installing 54 panel ready Thermador refrigerator and freezer units. Friendly and informative. Install went smoothly. The fact our used or demo units were missing a couple pieces of hardware was a non-issue for the guys. They provided the missing part and made no big deal about it. Much more responsive than other appliance installers we called.

I called G & S Appliance today, July 27, to check/repair a Subzero refrigerator that is leaking water. They told me that the soonest appointment they could offer is August 26, a full month away! It appears that they dont want or need the business.

Have had them to our house once to fix a new U line ice maker under warranty, which they did not fix the problem. I have called twice and only got a message machine during normal business hours, with no return calls in over a week. I would give them a minus 10 if I could

Took months to get the part, yet it miraculously arrived when I threatened to call the credit card company and get my money back.Then when they installed it, it didn’t fix the problem, left multiple messages for them, didn’t get a return call, so I ended up voiding the whole transaction and going with another local company.Please pick anyone but these clowns.

On July 27 th I had called GS appliance to come out to see my stove. We had a power surge and the oven had to power to the main panel. On the phone she gave me best case scenario and worst case scenario.$ 40 part-$600 part. Plus the service call.July 28 a gentleman came out, he looked at the stove, tried to take it apart and wasnt able to get the main panel off. I had to leave the room with my 3 yr old and came back and hes pushing the stove back in. I asked oh you all ready looked at it. He claimed yes but couldnt give me a diagnosis, just to call the office as I need a new panel board. That sat really uneven for me, I was convinced he didnt know. Then he left. I called another company and asked hem for quote on the part the GS guy told me it was and he gave me a full quote. Price doesnt really matter here, as my complaint is mostly on service. So I booked an appointment with this OTHER company as I had that gut feeling the GS guy had no clue. I still called the office 2x to finally get a quote from them regarding what the service guy said. It was substantially higher ($175) than the other company. So explained thank you Im going to go with someone else. This is where it gets terrible..... When the other service company came he struggled to get access to the panel as well but he worked at it and get it.... Oh there was a reset button! Yes thats right, new company took my stove apart and flipped the reset button and the panel came alive! If the GS service guy actually got under the panel board that he claimed to be broken then he would have started with the reset button!I originally called GS appliances out to tell me my stove was broken, which I already knew, and what they did to diagnose my problem was complete GUESSING! very disappointing 😢

They do charge more for their services but should give you a discount for everything you have to go through. Owners are nice but the have a horrible secretary! She doesn’t answer the phone half the time, never returns phone calls (don’t bother leaving a message, you have to keep calling until she answers), unorganized (she told me she misplaced my paperwork), & seriously doubt she communicates anything to her bosses. I finally canceled the follow up repairs they were going to do for me. I really don’t know how they have any customers left with their unprofessional secretary representing them.

I had to wait 2 weeks for initial appointment and they failed to show up as I waited 2 hours at home away from work, no call either. I was expecting a next day appointment, nope, they scheduled me another 2 weeks out. G&S.... if your reading this, I will improve your rating if you show up on time for the next appointment AND fix my Subzero effectively. Looking forward to seeing how good your service people are.

Excellent customer service! The precaution and regard for my appliances and home was unprecedented. I needed my Bosch dishwasher repaired. Clint was knowledgeable and efficient and was able to make the repair on the same day as the diagnosis. Additionally, when I asked him to take a look at my oven broiler while he was there he made that repair as well. He easily could have said he didnt have time and charged for a separate service call another day. Initially I was a skeptical that I had to wait a few weeks for the diagnosis appointment but in hindsight it was beyond worth the wait. G&S is busy for reason, they take care of their customers.
