I purchased an iron wine rack with multiple leatherstraps that was from the ‘50s. The straps were dry,frayed and/or missing. The reviews were so goodthat I brought it to Skin on Skin. Better than I couldve hoped for. I needed the straps of a bag shortened as well as a belt. The job was done with precision and care.Worth noting more than anything was how welcoming the experience was. The person who helped me (perhaps the owner) asked me questions about myself and made good conversation that didnt feel forced.You can just tell the guys who run the shop are good and honest. Skin On Skins is a diamond in the rough, no question about it.

I found this place like many of us do, searching reviews. We all got it right with this one. Onder is a great guy who loves what he does. I reached out to him via email to discuss a bag repair job and when we set up the in person meeting, we finalized all the little details. Onder is:- a great craftsman- easy person to get a hold of- has great ideas- has an amazing space to work fromI highly recommend going to Skin on Skins for all your leather needs. One really great tip he gave me was getting some saddle soap and leather conditioner for my bag, it looks so much better and much healthier, without changing the ruggedness I liked. Based on his experience he can work on a variety of things and I am sure he can help create something new if you need it as well. I will definitely be going back to SOS for anything leather related.

He does great leather designs plus very good repairs. He is a very nice easy going guy. And he would definitely do a great job ansmd reasonable prices.

We came across Skin on Skins at the Folsom Street Fair this year and were immediately impressed with the creativity and quality of their products. My wife fell in love with a leather utility belt. However, it was a little too big when she tried it on. The representative offered to take it back to their shop and shorten it to my wifes measurements at no additional charge. We decided though to keep it and then send it back to them after the weekend.A couple weeks later, we sent the belt back and they very quickly and professionally shortened the belt and even added an additional belt loop before sending it back to us, declining to charge us return shipping. I highly recommend this shop for their creativity, customer service and the quality of their products.

Excellent service. My vintage leather jacket was returned to me with the utmost care, at a reasonable price, and I very much enjoyed my interactions with the man. Would definitely come here again.

Very good leather shop. The guy is obviously cery talented and inspired to make great products that last. Was a nice experience even as a tourist. Thanks for the nice Belt and Bracelet.I wanted to point out though that its now by appointment only to visit the shop, cause he has a lot of work to do. But its a very chill experience being in his shop. Just make sure to calll before you go so you know if hes available at that time.He also does repairs and custom work if you need something fixed.
