John was a total lifesaver. I was on a small accident and the derailleur needed to be fixed. After struggling to find a bike repair shop that wasnt completely booked for weeks I came across Johns mobile service. He was very responsive and we quickly set up an appointment for the following day. He showed up on time and fixed the bike in less that 20 minutes. And all for a pretty good price. The bike rides even better than before the accident! I will definitely be calling John anytime my bike needs service.

I needed someone to fix my ebike ASAP, all the other services were charging me either heavy or were booked for weeks. John was really good and responded quickly. I wanted a basic tuneup, but after inspecting the bike, he charged me less because he said the tuneup wasnt required much. That was really kind of him. Thanks again for your services.

Very happy with the work John did on my bike. Id ridden it 1,600 miles since purchasing a year or so ago and it really needed tuning. I can honestly say it rides better than it ever has. A couple of gear shifts had always bothered me slightly, and John resolved this. Finally the convenience of him coming to me is definitely something I appreciate. Ill me booking another tune up after another 1,500 miles!

Met John when he was dropping off bike to one of my neighbors. I spoke with my neighbor and John separately. My intuition said yes, I can trust this person, and decided to give John a chance. My husband and I have bikes and they both needed their annual check up. John came and picked up the bikes. Had them back as promised. It can be unnerving giving your bikes to someone you dont know but his openness, honesty, and candidness made me feel very comfortable with them. When he returned our bikes they looked brand new! We’re practicing social distancing due to current events, and he was extremely professional about wearing gloves, working from a distance and wiping the bike down thoroughly. I got a bike that looked really bad and I didnt have hope for it, but he made it like brand new. It road amazingly and I could bomb hills like a champ!

John did an awesome job on getting my bike up and running. It had been left out in the rain and had some issues with the gears, so I took it to a bike shop and they wanted over $500 to repair it and tune it up. As a 23 year old who is quarter life crisis-ing during the global pandemic, I decided to buy an old road/touring bike off Craigslist. Because what better way to blow your unemployment check than to try (and probably fail) hitting the road with a new hobby? I have little to no experience with bicycles. Like, I was always that skater kid in highschool that despised anyone who chose two wheels over four. Consequently, when my newly acquired bike started making funky noises (from the chain) and the ride was not so smooth, I had zero idea of how to even explain let alone fix the problem.Thats when my life intersected with a guru of bike maintenance and hip button up shirts- Mr. John from Stay True CycleWorks. Not only is his business model of mobile bike repair genius in a city as spread out as San Diego, but his van is equipped with all the tools and knowledge you would probably come across in a brick & mortar bike shop. We were able to talk/text to diagnose the problems I was having and setup a meeting within 3 days. Keep in mind, Guru John is getting busier and busier with his work so it may take longer than that.Once we met up, not only was he able to fix my chain issues and tune her up real nice, but he also took the time to show me how to properly shift/ride in a way that is best suited for my old, quirky bike. That kind of personal touch and human-ness is often lost in the hustle of repair shops whose ultimate goal is to churn out as many clients as possible. Such a good dude.Thank you John!
