Go see Glen! I spend days and hours trying to find a mattress, and would have saved so much time, and ended up savings so much money, because of Glen. He was knowledgable, friendly, and direct. He gave me the best deal available, which saved me an extra 20% (thats a lot of money!). He let me know about how promotions and delivery worked in a clear and concise manner. I spent 5 minutes in the store, and was able to complete the transaction remotely and pay online the next day. Glen made the process so easy, I wish I had called Glen first!

I hate leaving reviews for places like this, but I’m also just so irritated by condescending people. My partner is in California trying to finish the last couple months of his graduate degree. We lived in San Diego for a while but returned back to the midwest during the pandemic. He is staying on the UCSD campus in a dorm and just needed a mattress. Having picked up our queen mattress here in Ohio same-day at a mattress firm, i mistakenly told him to go to the nearest mattress firm and get a bed in a box. He is staying in a temporary grad dorm and doesn’t need to spend a ton of money for something that he won’t be using four months from now. Anyway...my mistake! Apparently, the employee he talked to was completely condescending and basically laughed at him for assuming they had beds in the store. He compared it to Levittown, said “not in california”, etc. I have to say, this is exactly the type of thing I do NOT miss about Cali! Complete classist you-know-what. That’s what you get for just trying to survive as a graduate student at an extremely prestigious school. While I am very happy with my local Mattress Firm where we were treated with respect, this place needs to attend some remedial communication and basic-respect- for-humanity-classes.

We bought our mattress from Glen Doering. I’d give him more stars if I could. He was kind, compassionate, informative, and most of all let us take our time in purchasing our mattress. I went into the store 2 weeks ago with a firm mattress in my mind and ended up realizing a plush mattress is the one for me instead. Marco and the rest of the staff are exceedingly helpful. I ordered a queen Tulo mattress through them and realized a few days after the order was placed that Id need a full instead. The mattress had already shipped from the manufacturer at that point, so I figured Id be out of luck, but they said theyd exchange it and Marco even offered to pick the queen mattress up from my apartment once it arrived so that I wouldnt have to worry about returning it to the store myself. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and helpful, even though they ended up going through a lot of hassle because of my error in ordering too large of a mattress. I just moved to San Diego from Michigan and needed a mattress ASAP. I looked a few other places but was overwhelmed by the process and frustrated that it would take at least a week to get my mattress from other places. David at Sleep Train was super helpful and laid back. He directed me to a mattress that I liked and fit my budget. I came in the store in the late afternoon and my mattress and box spring was delivered by 10 am the next morning by very professional, speedy, and polite delivery men. I wish I had just gone to Sleep Train first! I havent slept on the mattress yet, but overall it was a stress free and quick purchase and delivery process.
