DO NOT BUY!!! SCAM ALERT!!! We bought a used fridge (trying to support small business during the pandemic) and were told that we had a Year Warranty. After about a week the fridge no longer stayed cool. They DID NOT HONOR THE YEAR WARRANTY and left us with a BROKEN USELESS FRIDGE! But what Were Offered was to give them the fridge back and they would give us credit for the fridge we just purchased and would have to shell out additional money for another used fridge!! Crazy right!? Do we ended up going to a big box store to get a new fridge. As many of the comments below stated this place is SHADY!!!

Not the best experience as the used fridge had issues within first 6 months and now with covid there are no repairs so having an issue has to contract a handy man. Also its hard to get a hold of them. On the bright side the new washer dryer I purchased works fine so I decided 3 stars

Worst customer service ever! Bought a used washer less than a year ago and was told that if I ever had any issues to let them know. The washing machine quit working and now the machine is full of water. I called and their repair man never returned my call. I even stopped by in person and the guy had an attitude and told me basically I was out of luck- then proceeded to tell me how to “fix” the washer when I asked how I was supposed to drain the water out of the washer. Total waste of time and money- this place takes advantage of people and they are extremely rude AFTER you make a purchase!

Terrible customer service. I wish I could select 0 stars instead of 1. When searching for a rental washer and dryer, this business and phone number came up. So of course I called because that is what I am looking for. Instead of offering assistance, the person berated and cursed at me, then hung up. I imagine this is how they run their day to day business. Hard pass.

Fridge crashed and it wasnt worth it to repair. Wife stopped in and was able to get just what we needed, which during the covid appliance shortage is no easy task. This place doesnt deserve any star. we bought a set of washer and dryer in June 2020. 2 months later, the washer stopped agitating. I called the office several times. When I finally talked to someone, I was told he would call back.. he never did. I left messages but never received a call back, even after calling over 10 times the calls were never answered. this place did not advice us that the set of washer and dryer we were buying are used. we did not find out until they were delivered and installed. I wasnt even provided with brochures for the set. I dont recommend this place. After they have received your money, you are on your own.

A few years ago I went there and the guy was super knowledgeable and helpful. Got a great washer and dryer at a great price. But I bought a new home in East County and getting any help or information is just impossible. I drove all the way down there and he didnt have what I needed which was ok, but I had decided to email him instead of driving all that way and he just ignores my emails, he did get back to me once so I know he is getting them. Thats the only reason he didnt get 5 stars, so if you want to buy from him (during covid Ive tried to support local businesses instead of like, Walmart or Home Depot) youll have to drive there and take your chances, otherwise I guess hes so busy he doesnt need your business. I really liked them too, referred several people to him so was very saddened by this because unfortunately by them not replying to my emails basically means my time is not important to them. I will say if you do go there, he is a very great guy to talk to, knows his inventory very well and if they have what youre looking for, you will walk away happy.

Bought a washer and dryer last week and was told we could sell it back once we moved. (We only planned to have it for 8 months) But when we found out that our houses plumbing couldnt support the washer without expensive repairs, we called back about selling it. Literally only used it once to ensure it worked, which it did, but our plumbing would leak water on the floor. The guy on the phone played ignorant of the conversation when we initially bought the appliance. Real piece of work, buyer beware. Not to be trusted.

BUYER BEWARE! bought a washer here less than 90 days ago. The guy seemed nice. Then I had an issue. Calling these people, it’s very unprofessional! He talks real trash over the phone. The younger sound guy was just chilled. It’s the older fella with the accent I received unprofessional service from, just to be clear.My cold water doesn’t run on the washer. They claim to be coming on the morning of the 20th to repair the washer.Wait... This guy just called me and hung up while I was typing this review. He hung up in my face yet again. You can’t do business with these people. It’s best to go to a big box store and get your appliances.Being that I spent close to a grand and this guy want to play games, it’s just time to take this to the court’s!

This place of business is a bad place they dont honor their word nor there guarantee they will not answer there phone after they get your money why would they sale broken appliances and my electric bill has tripled and I cant get them to take these worthless appliances out my house they cheated me out of 600 dollars

I was happy to find the washer and dryer I was looking for here. The price seemed reasonable. They delivered when expected. However, about a month later, my washer started to leak. I contacted them because the appliances came with a warranty for 90 days. I scheduled a time for them to come take a look and they never showed up. I called and they didn’t give any explanation. We set up another time for the next day and he said he’d call in the morning- no call, no show. Since then I’ve left messages with no return call. They never pick up when I call now. This is unprofessional and very poor service. They try to ignore you until the warranty runs out!

My entire experience with this company was amazing. They were extremely reliable and great at communication! I had an appliance delivered and set up, due to my space I needed a new size. After one phone call they were back out here with my new washer/dryer unit. All they did was charge me the upgrade fee and I have my new set up. Eli was able to install my new unit very quickly! Unfortunately, I can not recommend this business to anyone. We purchased a washer dryer set in early Feburary, it worked til the beginning of April and then started the issues. It would not heat up anymore. I called, was told theyd call me back in a bit, they didnt. Sent email. Nothing. Called the next day and they DID have someone come out to repair the dryer. The guy who repaired it was nice, however its now late May and our dryer is messed up again. We are out of the warranty time limit at this point so we called out a different company to come look at it for repairs. It did not take the licensed professional long to diagnosis and tell me that we were missing a very key piece (a metal ring that goes inside around the gas area) that wasnt even something that is sold separately, and that entire area would have to be replaced just to get that small part. The repair man said that the fact that the dryer ever worked, is mind boggling to him and he suggested buying a whole new dryer because the repair is one of the most expensive things to fix for a dryer since it isnt a little peice you can just order and replace.... and would of costed more than what the dryer was even worth.He seemed pretty set on the fact that this was probably a known issue during the sell, if he had to guess. So, hundreds of dollars down the drain just to have to go buy a whole new dryer months later.A neighbor also purchased their set from here this year and are now experiencing issues with it as well. Its unfortunate.

I needed maintanence done on our dryer because it smelt like gas, and something burning.I never got a phone call to let me know someone was on their way, the man who showed up was very rude when I asked him to give me a second because I was feeding my 2 month old baby. He rolled his eyes and turned around and walked off.

We just bought a refrigerator and its amazing ! Its a 2 door stainless steel makes water and ice cubes. We got him to lower the price a bit which was great. The owner is very nice! You should go here if your looking for great appliances and not spend too much, they have new and used. Legit business, they even delivered for free! TIP: They only accept cash, so keep that in mind. 10/10 would recommend.Update: Originally I had put five stars but after not even two years later our refrigerator stopped working! It would not keep anything cold anymore, everything would be room temp and caused many of our things to spoil. It was a modern refrigerator, it should of lasted more than a year and a half!

The LG fridge I bought from SDAW is beautiful, functions perfectly, completely clean, and was an affordable price too. They cleaned and polished it before delivering, and I really cant see any scratches or dents at all.The delivery guys were amiable and quick. Overall, I highly recommend for large appliance needs and would definitely return.

Needed a new appliance connection for my rentals and found San Diego Appliance Warehouse. They had many stackables I needed for my units as well as a nice brand new refrigerator for my own home. Always been satisfied and will continue to shop with these guys!

Everything was good in the beginning. My washer broke the gave me a new one. Then it broke again and after trying to schedule for them to come fix it he sent the mechanic out but then blocked my number. I spent $500 on a set. I expect my $ worth. The mechanic was nice but the guy up from turned into a complete jerk when I called. It’s not my fault they sold me a broken washer. So now I have to call from a blocked number to get in contact with them to come follow through with my warranty.

Rude as hell. Called about a washer they had advertised. Was rude and hung up. Sorry for bothering you with business you advertise to promote. My bad.

Came in about 2 months ago and purchased a front load washer and dryer set. Great service all around! I financed the set (only took about 20 minutes at the warehouse) and I just finished my final payment! :) Also the delivery was not easy, required removal of a couple of doors and taking the units upstairs but these guys did it without leaving a scratch on the machines or my walls! Bought a washer and dryer set from them with a 90 day warranty. Wont honor the warranty. Called to speak to the person who sold me the machines to let him know the dryer was having issues. Got the run around telling me my vent was clogged. (They told this same excuse to another person who left a similar review.) I should have known these were junk. They had spray paint lying around. All they do is take old machines and do a cover up job. I should have checked on here first before I bought. I can honestly say Im very dissatisfied. They told me to call back after 10 and then they blocked my number so now I cant get through. Dont waste your time or money.Update: They tried to contact me only after this review went up. Furthermore I gave the guy a $20 tip for the installation, and $400 is not cheap for a used set that they made no repairs to.It got worse... They used old hoses to hook up the Washer. When they did, I asked if they needed plumbers tape - they said, oh no, thats okay, I have some. A pin hole leak went down into the floorboards behind the washer. (They never used the tape!) It cause a build-up is of moisture in the neighbors ceiling and walls below and their roofing and insulation was soaked. Within 2 days part of the ceiling crumbled and fell on the neighbors new TV. It cost a lot of money in repairs, all because Appliance Warehouse was too cheap to use new hoses and/or plumbers tape. Property Management will most likely be giving us a bill for the repairs. It was a huge mess, they needed to bring in dryers, rip out drywall, insulation, and replace it. I replaced the hoses myself. I wish I had either bought a new washer/dryer set for what these wound up costing us in the end; or had got them cheaper and moved and installed them myself. As far as Im concerned, they installed it, theyre responsible for the damage. What a Hassel!

UPDATE: After I posted this it seemed to me that its possible that the company had some kind of communications breakdown. The two people we worked with were genuinely friendly and its possible that something went wrong. My husband ordered a replacement part and hell fix it himself if nothing else. This might not sit well with the tenets of Getting Good Customer Service taught to me by my elders--however, it seems wiser not to assume the worst about SD Appliance Warehouse. They were well recommended by our washer repair man.* * * * *Our experience began so positively that I can’t believe I’m here 18 days later with a negative review. We got a nice washer delivered same day at a good price—however, it only filled up and wouldn’t go on to the next function unless we fiddled under the door with the switch. After a few days even maneuvering the switch didn’t work. Between us my husband and I called 4 times one week, then the next and received no response.

Amazingly easy time buying a washer and dryer for the first time. the man was knowledgeable about the equipment and helped me make the right choice.

Really bad customer service, looks like they dont care and want any new customers

My fridge broke last night and I was in a major jam. I know a little bit about appliances (I sold them for three years) I went in told them how much I wanted to spend and the cubic feet I needed. He gave me options and even hooked me up with delivery and haul away within the hour! You really dont get service like that from anyone these days! I live pretty far from the business but he was very understanding of my situation and accomadated me. I will update my review on the product quality in a few months. I got a side by side stainless steel whitelpool 25 cubic ft fridge.

This place is a joke, I decided to purchase from them instead of Craigslist or Offer up because I wanted some sort of warranty. They offered 90 days for motor only and 30 days for every thing else and assured me that if anything went bad after the warranty he would take care of me . Its been a little less then 2 months and the refrigerator that I bought from them already stopped working. I called them and they guy asked me a couple of questions then hung up on me and later texted me that its out of warranty. I wanted them to make sure it was not the motor and charge me for the repair. Ive since then called them 10 times to no answer. I called from 2 other numbers and they answer then put me on hold and hang up. I paid about $500 for a fridge I could have got for $150 on offer up just for the peace of mind that I had a business behind my purchase. Lesson learned buy from offer up or Craigslist and use the savings for any future repairs. Update; the other 2 numbers have also been blocked.

FYI: There wasnt any signage until we pulled into a gated lot (not obvious from the street). In case youre wondering, its directly across the street from the KFC. This place is much more focused on washer/dryers; there was a fleet of washer/driers and only a handful of ovens/ranges on this most recent visit.Weve bought a washer back in early 2016 and a gas range in late 2017 ($300). Both looked mostly fine on the outside as if given a quick superficial cleaning (both units still had paint chips, scuffs, grease etc) but either lacked components or had egregiously low quality replacement internal components. He left a couple of (non-critical) components when taking our old range. The washer had multiple issues, we fixed the first one and redeemed the warranty on the second. To his credit, he came out and fixed it without too much of a hassle.Eli comes off as somewhat abrasive (I chalk that up to cultural differences) and is self absorbed.s He made it seem like he was giving us a deal on the oven (typical baazar salesmen tactic) because the sticker listed $360 and he offered $300. His competitor referred me and said a price in the $200s...Given the rush I was in and my prior dealings with Eli, I didnt say anything. Additionally, I found it rather hypocritical/not customer focused that he went on about his life problems during the sale but then made it abundantly clear during both installations that he was in a hurry to get out as fast as possible. He was very impatient and enganged my dad and I like we were his kids that he was teaching how to do parts of the installation process. If youre wondering why was there a need/opening for us to play any role in the installation process...good question. He was issuing orders wanting to do things in his way despite the fact that it was our house, our tools and our money.In summation, I would only come here if you are in a hurry and want the convenience of free installation/disposal of old appliance. The price was moderate given the quality (buyer beware anyways, in my opinion) but mostly everything else was unpleasant.

Our first encounter with them was around August of 2017. We have bought a set of washer and dryer along with a side by side door fridge. The process was quick and easy. They only accept cash. The owner gave us a deal on the fridge because we bought the washer and dryer set. Only spent under $1500 or so with them. They did free installation so it was nice.Washer and dryer was totally fine, they had extra parts for the installation but we had to buy the tube for the liquid disposal for the washer. No biggie. Fridge wise was our main problem with them.I had to be gone for a month with my job but we already took notice of how our fridge would freeze everything and shut off all of a sudden. When i came back after that month, we decided to call them and have them look at it. The owner said that he was going to send a repairman but we waited for a call but no one showed up. We decided to call them again until the owner came to take a look at it himself. His first diagnosis was the compressor. He told us to restart it but the same problem happened.We kept calling them again but no answer. We were getting frustrated so we decided to drive all the way to their warehouse to meet up with the owner and fix this issue. Same issue is happening still by the way with the fridge freezing on both parts and then shutting down the cooling after a day or two. He decided it was the computer board so he replaced it.Fridge was working better but not exactly how its supposed to be. It just kept freezing both fridge and freezer this time despite the whole temperature setting changes we did since the beginning of all of this mess. We tried calling numerous times and no answer.We decided to call a local repairman and he diagnosed the computer board being possibly broken or the air diffuser/damper. Told the repairman that the owner had installed a new computer board but wasnt sure if it was actually new/used/working. Repairs with the new parts would have cost us more than half the price for what we paid for with the fridge so we decided to talk business with SDAW again but no answer on their phone.I drove all the way over again to ask for a deal whether to give us a new fridge similar to what we bought and he asked for a week. Or he could try and figure out what was wrong with the fridge which would be better on both parties for this bothersome back and forth to stop. They ordered a computer board online and also waited for a fridge to match ours. No fridge that could match what we bought. He offered a deal on getting one of the french doors for extra few hundred bucks but we decided to wait for something else or the computer board.We got a call from them saying that they have ordered the part and is well on their way. Crossing fingers that it fixed the issue, it still didnt. Got tired of calling them because they never answer so we drove all the way back and he got another diagnosis that it was indeed the damper/diffuser (the door separating in between the freezer and the fridge to even the temperatures on both sides). He had a part in hand and installed it. I did notice that the part was joined with duct tape in the wires. With my job being part electrician, i figured it was wrong. Called him out on it but he made stupid excuses saying that its fine. Researched some more and concluded that duct tape is not a good insulator and will wear off. Particularly dangerous too since the part wired is inside the fridge. So i turned off the fridge and located the part he replaced. I took off the tape and discovered that he had taped together the aluminum and copper wires. This is just bad practice. My fridge would have been in worse shape if i had kept it running. The wires were frayed too.Instead of calling them again to give it a fix we decided to call the same repairman and immediately brought the same but new part with him. Installed it and asked us to give it a few days if it fixed it or not and pay him later if it is. Miraculously, our fridge is now fixed after 3 months.
