Honest and upfront about work being done and the cost. Any old car or project may have obstacles, but how the business handles it is key. Mike makes things right and gives you confidence to come back.
I have a 1987 VW Westfalia Camper Van. I needed to get some maintenance stuff done to her. That included a complete rebuild of the AC system and conversion to R134. The most important issue was having the plastic coolant pipes removed and replaced with all brand new GoWesty stainless steel pipes. They even did my brakes. Stacy is one honest guy. I actually gave him full range on going through the entire Van and ensuring that everything was ready for the camping season. I found out about this place when I had my Bay Window. If you are looking for service on your classic Volkswagen or Westfalia Camper Van this is the place to go.
Best Place Best People Ever They Geter Done
They are honest, hard working good mechanics.
Horrible service. The guys are nice guys, but I had them rebuild my engine and I have never had a car more unreliable than this. Just yesterday they inserted a new coil and said it would run fine and after driving on the freeway for half an hour, my car reuses to start once again. Youd have better luck working on your car based on YouTube videos.
Im redoing a 70s bug. My first bug build. I went in and was treated with a nice firm handshake and a what can I do for you today. Its something you dont find these days. The service is amazing, and they wont steer you in the wrong direction. Just ordered my front disk conversion, they made sure I got what i needed and wanted
One of the best Volkswagen shops I have ever been to. Very polite, very helpful and very knowledgeable. Very experienced mechanics work there.
We bought a VW beetle from here for $3k+ and it broke down immediately took it back and it broke down not even 15 minutes from the shop, tried calling, no answer it was around 3:30 pm.the coil that was put on was pulled from another used vehicle or shelf, it was faulty. got it running for a few days and have sunk an additional 1k + in parts and still can not get it running. any buyers out there be aware. this thing also drives side ways and there would be no way for us to have noticed this until after the second time leaving this shop and a family member following behind.also had the bank write a check for over the amount and the owner kept our money, couple of hundred
Stacy and his crew are very knowledgeable in V ws . For me they are a wealth of information that I need.
Classic VW experts! We appreciate how much they care about these cars as much as their customers do. Highly recommended!
Its under a new name but black own automatic shop ..very friendly atmosphere
I took my sons 2005 bug in recently for a tune-up. During the shops inspection of the vehicle, they discovered a damaged electric box of sorts which could have ignited a fire. They caught a serious safety issue. They were honest; highly knowledgable with competitive pricing. This was by far the best car repair experience my family has had. We will return. Thanks Blodgetts!!
I cant believe this place is closing. They were so nice to me.
My son and I race a bug in the desert. The guys at Blodgetts have always been very helpful and have good prices and advice. Always friendly with good attitudes

Great work explained everything b4 work was done!
After my daughters 70 Bettle was stolen and stripped, Jack and his dad stepped up and offered to help get her back on the road. I cannot express how greatful I am for their assistance. They treated us like family, and I will come back for absolutely anything her car needs.
Old skool vw repair. Highly recommended

One of the best places to get parts for your air cooled ride.
Very knowledgeable about all things aircooled. I trust them completely with my cars
Good work very knowledgeable but weigh to expensive
Great costumer service! Excellent work!
A shop only a family can provideI have been taking my 72 bug there for 6 years and I have never had a break down due to their honest maintance schedule and suggestions. Always give me a deal and with their low hourly labor rates that smoke the competition I cant complain. Weither its a knob or an engine, bumper to bumper they have the part I have always needed and if not prompt delivery. I dont let anyone drive my car but at Blodgetts I hand the keys with a smile.
I been going to Blodgetts for years & i am very happy with the work theyve done on my VW, they have good service, they are friendly & they explain work needed & done very well, stacey Jack & staff are doing great work & i would Not take my vw bug anywhere else! THANKS BLODGETTS .......Rick L 👍
Ive been a customer close to 4 years now. The whole staff at Blodgetts have become Friends to my family. I have 3 VWs and cant imagine going somewhere else. I tried another spot for minor items and was treated and talked to in a negative manner that I decided to stay with Blodgetts. I can go on & on about my experience, but why bore you.
Dont go. After 40 years, it is closed.
Great HONEST people that know their stuff!
I take my 71 bus here all the time even for $25 valve adjustment and oil change service. Stacey, Jack and Josh, all honest great guys.
A true gem. it will be missed.
I am sad to see this place close
Wonderful staff, very helpful and informative.
Its a sad ending to an epic place. After 46 years of taking care of customers, Blodgetts will be closing the doors. 11-1-19 is the last day they will be open. Stacey is retiring...
