They were okay. The workers all disappeared into the back after some young girls their age left. They had a very limited variety of apples and chocolate items. The one in New Orleans is way better than San Antonio. At least they still make their waffle cones fresh at both locations.

Beautiful interiors and the smell of chocolate make this place so inviting and a great spot to rest your feet, and exercise your taste buds.They have all kinds of fresh made sweets, include delicious fudge (the friendly employees let you sample as much as you want), nice ice cream in fresh made waffle cones, and lots of packaged treats and truffles.There is also a small seating area and good coffee and clean restrooms.A sweet tooth must in the Alamo plaza.

Major tourist attraction alert! All you have to do is walk by anytime an employee is making the waffle cones and immediately… youre attracted to walking in and having a variety of treats! So many treats and suites to choose from! There is such thing as a sugar attack and you will definitely have one here!

Love this candy store. Local shop making fresh candy all day long. Stopped in to beat the heat with some ice cream and also got a candied apple.

If you love fudge and anything covered in chocolate, this is a must. Fresh homemade waffle cones everyday. The fudge is off the hook! You can sample to find the one you like... good luck! You can buy individual or by the pound. Ice cream flavors I had never seen before. Lots of pre packaged items you can purchase. The apples ... you need one! You can actually watch them make it all right there in store.

Adorable chocolate shop saves the day! We had an espresso emergency and after going to 5 shops who either dont have coffee anymore or were out of milk, we found this one. Lattés were great, tastes like a Gelato shop made a latté.

Fudge fudge and more delicious fudge...great tasting chocolate but I was even more impressed with their customer service. I had to say no more samples please. I got to sample whatever I wanted and they are even willing to open any package to make sure you get to sample before you buy. Loved their white chocolate too, so I highly recommend this place!

Michigan based establishment having a nice big location in San Antonio! When I used to live in Michigan I loved having the Toasted Coconut flavor. It’s their best seller and you will see why when you try it! For Texans, try the Alamo flavor and also the praline pecan flavor :)

They have amazing Chocolate... everything from fudge to ice cream. Lots of choices. The store is very clean and smells good! The employees were super friendly. My kids were a bit indecisive and Ernesto was very patient. He has a great personality and really seems to love his job. He made us feel like friends and really just made our experience perfect!My son was shocked at how big this chocolate bunny was. I wish I would have taken more pics but this is all I got! ;)

This place made the perfect advertising tactic by leaving their doors open.... the delicious smell of their treats wafted around me and I HAD to go in!! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by every single employee. They stopped what they were doing to acknowledge our presence. Not to mention, everything in there was delicious!! So worth the trip, and the counter staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the products.

We went after a hot day on the river walk and got ice cream and other chocolate treats. The waffle cones were freshly made and still warm. It smelled so good in there. The ice cream was really good. Also got the buckeyes, chocolate covered nutter butters, caramel corn, and Jordan almonds

The place was packed with people and had a very long line, however the team work that was displayed was awesome. All of the staff worked together and that line was the fastest line Ive ever been in! The ice cream was stellar! The candy is so good and made right in front of you. Do Kool! Loved it and will definitely be back!!

One word: YUM! My family and I enjoyed several treats a few times from this chocolate shop while on vacation. Chatted with an employee who told us the Kilwin story. I highly recommend the peanut butter cups and chocolate covered Nutter Butters.

Im used to the locations in Florida, so this Kilwins was a blast. Its larger and very clean. Their ice cream is still as delicious as I remember. Recommended.

Truly some of the best Ice Cream in San Antonio! Kilwins has yummy ice cream:) and is right across the way from The Alamo.

So if you havent had their ice cream you are missing out. Normally the prices sort of drive people away I mean who wants to pay $6 or $7 for a single scoop in a waffle cone/bowl? That would be a mistake! The homemade waffle cones or bowls have a sweet flavoring unlike other waffle cones you have eaten and the ice cream flavors are amazing. Personally my favorite it toasted coconut but for chocolate lovers get the chocolate salted caramel ice cream, single scoop in a waffle bowl and ask them to add hot chocolate sauce or hot caramel sauce. Enjoy!

Perfect spot to get some ice cream cones and sit outside on their tables to enjoy the weather. We stopped by this weekend and had a nice experience watching the horse carriages passing by enjoying our ice cream. The employees were very friendly and inviting, the establishment was clean and the restrooms were spotless. Stop by and have a taste, you won’t be disappointed.

I really wish we had one of these in our city, let alone our state. The employee who helped us out, Jesse, was freaking awesome. He was super patient, answered all of our multiple questions and helped our daughters choose the perfect dessert. The ice cream is so soft and creamy and soooo many delicious flavors.

This is the perfect place to go on a cheat meal day. First place we visited in San Antonio and its making your impressions awesome they serve really good ice creams and hand made sweets. We were given free samples of ice cream and candies. It was so tasty that we bought ourselves some sweets))if youre a sweet tooth youre definitely have to be there. My husband and I went by last night as we where walking downtown San Antonio. When we where walking up to the store there was a lady outside with an waffle ice-cream cup who noticed ya glancing in and tells us its really good. We take her world for it and go in. Neither my husband or I wanted ice-cream. We went for the fudge samples that they had my husband claimed it to be delicious. I went for the assorted apples and the different types of chocolate dip goodies.We where excited and got a list of things! The lady that helped us was very friendly and reassuring that this treats where delicious 😋!Pecan caramel 🍏 apple was good!!Milk chocolate sprinkled marshmallow and white macadamia Tuttle where not great!! The flavor of the chocolate was off almost as it was old chocolate 🍫! The marshmallow was good but who can mess up a marshmallow!?!Almond toffee crunch and Chocolate covered twinkie where stale as can be! Did not taste same day made what so ever, disgusting 🤢 lets not forget the steep prices!!From 5 different treats we tried only 1 was good and I guess you can say 6 treats if you count the fudge that my husband sampled so 2 of those treats where worth the money 💴 every thing else was simply not worth it !!!

This place was amazing! They have fresh made fudge, caramel apples, and chocolate caramel candies to choose from. As for gifts, they have boxed up cuties like dipped Oreos, Turtles, chocolate covered nuts, chocolate covered caramels, and of course simple caramel ranging from $5.99 to 15.99 + you can spend a lot here, but it is well worth it and the store owner is very friendly. He gets out there and work with everyone else so you dont know hes the owner until you chat with him... Great to see that kind of passion! This is a must visit! we were so enchanted when we were in there that I forgot to take pictures but heres a sneak peek at some of the delicious Goodys we purchased... Whats left of them anyway;)

My husband and I went downtown to the zoo and Riverwalk a couple of nights ago to see the Christmas lights. After our stop at The Alamo, we passed by Kilwins on our way back to where our car was parked. It was such a nice night and a warm temperature that having ice cream was the perfect ending.There were so many goodies to try to distract you as you walk in from popcorn, fudge, chocolates, and many other sweets. I was determined to have ice cream though. Peppermint ice cream seemed fitting tis the season with the red and green sprinkled throughout. My husband got the mint chocolate chip ice cream on a waffle cone.We mightve been one of the last customers for the evening and so grateful we got to try it. The ice cream surely hit the spot for both of us.I asked where Kilwins was from and the lady mentioned that its from Detroit and showed me all the locations across the country. I can attest to why its so popular! Its definitely tempting to go back to try all the other sweets.Make a stop when youre by The Alamo for those with a sweet tooth!

My kids and I went, even though the store next door had Blue Bell, which is our fave. We were definitely impressed. The ice cream was delicious and Larry was so friendly and sweet. We will definitely visit again.

The ice cream was great but they are open in the middle of June 2020 with corona cases on the rise in San Antonio and the staff aren’t even wearing masks or gloves nor are the people in line reminder with stickers on the floor to social distance. It was pretty disappointing. The staff members have to reach down to scoop up the ice cream and they can easily wipe their nose and grab a scoop to dish out ice cream. My parents wanted to eat there and I was worried about them. The staff didn’t seem to care one bit :(

My family stopped in for a treat just after businesses started opening back up this month. The ice cream is delicious! Items are expensive though. We got 3 single ice cream cones and 2 packages of candy. $50...wow! The salt water taffy that I bought isn’t very good, but everything else was great. The atmosphere and location are nice too.
