I am beyond satisfied with my experience here! I needed a new starter and valve cover replacement and was so surprised how quickly things got done. Ray had me in and out efficiently for an oil change. He and his staff also take photos of other things they would suggest repairing and categorize it as “good”, “needs future attention” or “needs immediate attention” which was very helpful for me as a used car owner. My family and I had taken about eight vehicles to Han at Action Auto for over ten years. We always experiencing absolutely incredible service. Several months ago, I had Ray and the crew at Action Automotive Service and Tire take care of my Honda. I couldnt be more impressed with the overall positive experience. As for my personal experience of visiting countless repair shops throughout the Salt Lake Valley for well over twenty-five years, the level of professional service, communication, technical expertise, incredible prices, and unbelievably timely work provided by Ray and his technicians CAN NOT be beat. There is not an automotive shop I would ever recommend over Action Automotive Service and Tire.

Ray is the man! Took my car in to replace the water pump. They gave me a reasonable quote and were able to complete the repairs the same day! Look no further than action auto for your cars repairs.

Do not bring your car to be serviced at Action Auto unless you want to be taken advantage of. Took my car here at the beginning of the year to fix whatever dark liquid was leaking from the bottom of my car, they diagnosed the issue and said they fixed it. I payed and left, only to find they had not fixed the problem of the leak. I took the car to another shop to get a second opinion and told me the part that was just replaced (which cost around $300) wasnt even the part that was the issue. I reached out and left a message at Action Auto about it and they have ignored me.The bottom line here is that unless you are familiar with all the inner workings of your car they will take advantage of you and do poor work.

Ive brought my cars here for oil changes for a couple of years now. They are friendly and helpful. I love that they dont push to up sell. They will tell me I might consider getting new tires soon, but dont make it seem like Im going to die if I leave the shop without doing it. Their prices are reasonable and they offer discounts. They also tell me about the recalls on my vehicles and give me information even though they dont do the work.

This is now the only auto shop that I will have work on my vehicles. I have an older truck that has high mileage and parts are wearing out. Kraig and Alex are very knowledgeable and explained the work that needed to be done in terms that I could understand. The quality and timeliness of work performed is outstanding. I have been there several times and Im never disappointed.

Ray has been my mechanic for years and I trust him with fixing all my car problems! He’s kind, generous, and does a wonderful job! I wonder if the terms Rock Star and mechanic have often been used together. I suspect it is infrequent, if its ever been used at all. But, wow, these guys go above and beyond. They are straight-forward, objective, and honest. They do what they say they are going to do. They answer phone calls and questions. They dont push you into things unscrupulous mechanics might. On top of it all, they are more than competitive in their pricing. In fact, its my experience that they routinely charge less than others. I have no hesitation in recommending this shop - something I rarely say about anything. It would be a mistake to not consider these guys first (or get a second opinion from them) before you go anywhere else.

I bought a Groupon for this company because the reviews seemed well and everyone was praising them about how quick they are. Theyve made me wait TWO WEEKS before i can even get in. and then instead of at least trying to sound like they are really trying to find a solution, they just sound like they dont care; like oh well you have to wait so what. You guys are terrible. You dont treat customers this way just because you already have a good base going

The morning of January 20th I brought my sons Toyota Tacoma in to be looked at as it had overheated and since then was having trouble starting. This was the second time I had brought the same vehicle in-The first time I was helped by Tim who was wonderful to deal with. Around 1 o’clock I received a call from Ray Wilson giving me a bill of 600+ for multiple itemsas I asked for him to break down the fees he began to get short with me so I said I would come pick up the vehicle. When I got there Ray told me I needed to pay $105 diagnostic fee which I questioned the amount not that there was a fee but that it seemed high. It was also not consistent with my prior experience with Action Automotive-at some point when in the conversation Ray begrudgingly put the key to my sons truck on the counter and asked me to take my truck and leave that he would not work on the truck ever again. I said OK and walked out.

Friendly, fast and they can be trusted! Im going there from now on!

I have taken several cars to Action Automotive and the staff has always done a great job. I felt like they wanted my business and went above and beyond to satisfy me. Even when I called and they happened to be too busy to help me that day, they called another shop to see if they could help me.

Went in for an oil change from a Groupon. Not only do they schedule appointments ahead of time, they schedule you for an hour so nothing gets rushed. Tim (also the owner) was who helped me. Very nice guy, honest and just an overall good dude. I would highly recommend this place for anyone needing a quality oil change or even maintenance and repair on a vehicle!

Bought a Groupon for an alignment. When I picked up my truck my steering wheel was very crooked. I called and they told me that they adjusted it and there was nothing more they could do without replacing parts. I took it to another shop and they easily straightened my steering wheel. The other shop laughed at the fact that action auto couldnt easily straighten the wheel. They also wondered why if they thought parts were bad enough to not straighten the wheel they would even do the alignment. I read the other review for the guy that got treated bad with a Groupon. Action says the reason they made him wait so long is because they promote social distancing. The old guy in front with the trump hat didnt have a mask on the whole time I was there. Im having everyone I know leave a bad review to drive down their rating and save people from these scum bags.

Kurt and his team are very kind, professional and quick. I went in for an oil change. They helped with everything I needed and werent pushy with the sales. Which is always appreciated. They still took great care of my car and showed me things that needed to be changed. Even with the few extra things I was out of there in 30 minutes. I will definately come back!

Great overall experience. I actually felt genuine honesty, accurate and reliable diagnostic results from my pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I almost bought. I felt he was thorough and I felt what he told me and the advise he shared w/me was trustworthy and was with my best interest, in mind. I will be honest after 1st walking in, I walked into the owner arguing with a company he does business with or something. Not only arguing, but screaming and quite unprofessional, in a few ways. After the the yelling fight over the phone ended, the owner proceeded to vent n share all the details to me n 2 other customers who just so happened to b in the office at the time and also had to witness the dramatics. Honestly, it was so unattractive and was actually turning me off n making me nervous as to what I might be getting myself into. I nearly just turned around only moments after walking in, was going to turn around n go somewhere else to do business with, someone who didn’t display a little concerning behavior immediately. Yet somehow, in the end, he made up for it n completely changed my opinion, as well as, making me feel like I could believe n trust him with confidence. I did not feel like he was trying to cheat me or deceive me for more $. He showed sincere care, performed n provided exactly what I asked and paid for, and did it in a timely manner. I will definitely be returning here and suggest his business n services he offers, to as many people/friends, as I can. Honesty and good work deserves to succeed n prosper, in return. I was not only surprised in the end but walked out w an entirely different perspective in a very short amount of time which is impressive, especially for a mechanic shop.

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. The people there were really friendly and got me right in. Also they did not try to sell me anything I didnt need. I would definitely bring my car back here and recommend it to my friends.

Lied too about what was wrong with my car. OI was charged for a diagnose test which he didnt tell me right away when I made the phone call. Until after he did it. Oh plus it was just your battery so we replace that $290.00 for them 2. Which I think I was ripped off got a Duracell battery which they didnt even have that was displayed in there front office. Car went down again the same evening.

I bought a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change and called to schedule an appointment which was super easy. Then today I went to get my oil changed and the guys there were super awesome. I was due for an emissions test and since I was already there the guy at the front mentioned that they did it there and I could get my sticker too. Soo needless to stay I jumped on it and I got an oil change and renewed my registration all in on visit! Great place and great people to have your car worked on. Customer Service has always been excellent. The area allows easy in and out access with a gas station close by for a snack or drink. They are really quick to service and will remind you of your oil changes through text.

Transmission replacement is not what I wanted but I am very happy I found Action Automotive. They were fair with cost and fixed an extra item under my car for parts only. Great service good people.

This is the first auto repair shop where I actually paid what they quoted me when I originally called in and I have been bringing my car back in ever since. They dont try to nickel and dime people, which I really appreciate, and sometimes when its a really quick fix, they dont charge me anything at all. They have done all kinds of services on my familys vehicles and we have always been pleased with the results!

We have been using Action Auto Repair for several years and experienced great services at honest prices each time. Just started using this service, but so far experience has been great. The people are competent, fair, honest and friendly. This will be my go to place from now on I am sure.

My family has been going here for years, so naturally when i got a car, i started too. Had a serious problem that had i taken it anywhere else, the repairs would have been around $2000. Took it to the guys at action auto and the owner used his own time (4-6 hrs) to come up with a soution saving me nearly $1500. He babied my car back to good health all while being completely honest and open about what the approx costs would be.

Absolutely horrible customer service when I called asking for an estimate. He (didnt get his name- but an employee) was disrespectful and demeaning when he found out I already had the part and only needed the labor. I ran into an issue and didnt have the necessary tool to complete the job, which is why I had the new part already. I understand if they dont want to help me but he didnt need to be so rude about it. He was sarcastic and told me its the same thing as taking my own meat into a restaurant and stated very rudely that he wished me luck finding someone even willing to help me as 80% of shops wont. The shop across the street from them (Universal Auto) said they would help me and were indelibly respectful. I dont need to be treated like this for simply calling and asking a question. A simple, we dont do repairs unless you buy the parts from us would have sufficed. I wont ever be spending my money here.

Rotors and Brakes...Was told it would cost over 750 for the front and back to be corrected due to A warped rotor and each and every axle would need full repair. Spoke to the tech and he said even though this will need to be done it is OK TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE THE WAY IT IS. Have been long time customer but feeling like money is the object here. Will get another from a profession garage opinion and report back soon. Beware in the meantime.

My rear oil seal blew. The oil covered the engine. After cleaning it they had to undo every rusted bolt and screw to replace the seal. It took an abundance of elbow grease and time. Thanks for the hard work guys!
