My usual spot for groceries. Its frequently well stocked & clean. The staff seems really nice though! My apologies to every cashier I bother because they get called to the self-checkout lane Ive rung something too fast at.
I love this Kroger because it still stays open till 1 AM and has a great selection and up until tonight I would have given them five stars but they had an island refrigerator section that had hamburger patties at 499 a pound total of 19.96 for four patties( 1 lb each) and I came home and weighed it on the scale and it was only 2.6 pounds so they are putting fraudulent weight on their in-store packaged meat, so beware!
Disappointed on Amanda wearing a red vest for not helping a pregnant woman pack her long amount of groceries but instead going to the next lane of 15 items or less, helping just pack a few items and just talking to costumers. The cashier on my lane was an elderly lady and very sweet, but instead she went to the lane with a young cashier, who is very capable of packing 15 items or less.
Decent grocery store with very helpful folks. However, make sure to double check the expiration date of everything you purchase here. From meat, to milk, to bags of chips, to salsa — I’ve gotten home only to realize I just bought spoiled milk or expired milk that was a month or more past the sell by date. I don’t think they do this on purpose, but just be aware and double check before you put anything into your shopping cart.
I bought pork chops and hamburger last week out of the meat market case. Too bad I didn’t smell test it before it was wrapped up. Both were spoiled. So awful. I dont live right down the street so its not easy to return things but this is the second time in 2 shopping trips that I have bought something that has been spoiled. Im tired of spending hard earned money only to get home to discover I cant even feed it to the dog.
I shop from this store often using the Kroger app for delivery. I paid for free delivery and Im still charged $9.95. When I call about this, Im told to just call and have the fee waved. That doesnt make sense to do every time. The customer service rep I spoke to was extremely rude and hung up on me. May not be from your store, but this does reflect on you if were using this app to shop. Shame shame.
Understaffed and store called when i arranged pick up for items that they coupdnt fulfill til tomorrow and the would call me the nexr day. Order still not fufilled following day.
Ordered a sheet cake for company grand opening. They assured me they could put the company logo on the cake. Three days before the pickup, I brought them the logo graphic and letter of permission to use the logo. Everything was “great”. The day of the promised pickup they called an hour before to tell me the “machine is broken and we can’t do the logo on the cake.” Never again will I shop a Kroger!
Floral: I ordered four arrangements for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at our home and was surprised by the low cost! I order arrangements from florists often, but this was my first time ordering from Kroger, and I’m a forever customer. The floral manager (Kerry, I believe), designed beautiful arrangements, and the affordability was impressive. I even double checked with her, because I thought she under charged me. I’m ordering again for the next party!
Great location, they literally never have anything in stock so you might as well go to the one on the other side of town.
The store is very clean! Customer service is always on point. However, their grocery pickup service is less than satisfactory. Theyve cancelled my order within 1.5 hour of pick up time. They say items are unavailable but Ive went in to double check and Ive found the item they claimed was unavailable.
This past week, 2 of the Kroger employees have gone above and beyond to help me. I am so incredibly grateful!!
This is the cleanest most organized store Ive ever been to. Pat is the real MVP...give her a raise pretty please❤
It’s a great place to shop for name brand items. Cheapest place to buy groceries. Visit your near by Kroger and find discounted items and save lots of money 💰. Enjoy the friendly store staff. They will make you feel like your part of the Kroger family. Have a great day at Kroger tell your friends and family.
Great selection, well priced.
Walter gave me the best experience this morning. He took care of my issue as if it was his own. He didnt get all mad for having to help me he was actually eager to help. Thank you Walter!
Lmao some of these reviews are mind boggling. I absolutely love this Kroger and I’ve yet to have an issue with them. It definitely beats the ridge location when it comes to customer service.
Dont buy cigarettes here due to indirect prices EVERY TAG SHOWS American Spirit at $7.44 but ring up 8.29 I ASKED them to remove tags and put correct but still NO RESPONSE
This was my main grocery store location for awhile but food quality has become significantly poor. I have seen moldy bread on the shelves, MANY EXPIRED items, soured chicken eggs and milk. Products that expired before their best by and/or expiration date and Ive bought slimy packaged cucumbers. After having to make several trips to return items and speaking with two store managers Ive decided to just quit shopping there. Ideally, they should be reported to the health department.
This is the closest supermarket I have and I have been a loyal customer since it opened. I unfortunately will not return to this store and will recommend my friends and family to do the same. I purchased a coffee maker and tried to returned few days later for a similar item. I was refused the return by two different manager because I didnt have the receipt. I wasnt looking for a refund just a rerun. I was treated as if o stole the item as I was trying to returned it. I asked to speak with the GM which I was able to few days later, no different resolution. They offer no solution or provided any alternative to finding out if the item was purchase there. I asked that they check their cámara on the day that I purchase the item and they refused. They claim it will be too much trouble to get loss prevention involved. Too much trouble? What about customer satisfaction?.... . I called customer service and I was able to regain a copy of my receipt. Came back to the store and this time asked for a refund as I didnt want to give my business to them. I will not return to this store as they dont value customer and treat me as of o have stolen the item. They lost a lifetime customer here, never felt more insulted when returning an item that I purchase. I feel disappointed to said the least.
I have been sitting in a pick up spot for 30 minutes. I checked in online both when I left my house and when I got to the store. When I drove up someone checked me in on his iPad. Since then about 8 to 10 cars have pulled in and picked up and pulled out. I finally called customer service and asked what was going on. Then someone came out and asked for my name. Then they went back inside and eventually finally came out with my order. I usually shop inside but needed to do pick up this time due to having a sick household. I did this out of convenience because I really needed it. Needless to say this was very inconvenient as a simple pick up of a few items took 30 minutes of me sitting in a parking lot. Definitely won’t be recommending Kroger off North Goliad for pick up.
I was buying groceries after 10pm because that was my schedule for that day. Walking in all but 1 door was available to enter and also at this time there is just the self serve registers opened. This customer just ahead of me had a full cart as well and asked for assistance because it is difficult to sack and scan at the little space they offer at self service, and the person working said they didn’t have anyone to help but there were 3 or 4 employees standing around. I also had a full cart and needed help but after I heard his response I proceeded to self checkout. What makes it difficult to check out at self serve with a full cart is that they only have 3 compartments to fill up plastic bags so when those bags are full you don’t have anywhere to place them except back in the cart, while I place filled bags back into the cart there were still unchecked groceries in the cart so I was being watched by 3 employees like I had a long history of stealing. When I was being watched like a hawk all I was thinking was all they had to do to solve there concern was to offer help. My advice to management is to train your employees to help and don’t treat your evening customers like potential thieves Rockwall is not a low income neighborhood so you should treat customers like our environment which is young families that own homes. Just be nice!
Ordered groceries online and set my pick up time. Order wasn’t ready and they where still pulling it “10 more min” I was told. Called back 20 mins later and then told “we have your order and just getting the cars out in the order they arrived. Granted that makes sense but as he is saying it I am sitting next to a car that just pulled up in stall 8 just a few minutes ago and they are loading his groceries as we are talking. The response was just “sorry about that”. I thought the point was for connivence but I can pull my own groceries else where at the same pace and not have to deal with this.
Was being rung up by a lady. The melon was on sale 99c rang up 3.99. I was holding the melon looking at her it was OBVIOUS I had an issue with the price. I said, hey the melon did it ring up 99c? she had hurriedly finalized the sale, and said I had to go wait in line at customer service she cant fix it now. So I went and waited in line second time, not cool
Disappointed. I wanted to let you know that I left a basket of groceries at Kroger because your meat department wouldnt cut up a whole chicken for me. I was told you dont cut chicken at all in the store. Ummmm, seriously? Whats the point of the showy meat department -- to showcase meats cut up in China? Tom Thumb cut it up for me with no question and I also got $87.35 of my other shopping done there.
What a sad experience we had today. When we called for assistance with our delivery order, we were passed off as it was an Instacart issue. Whic we found odd because it was your product that was completely unacceptable. There was absolutely no ownership or attempt to help make it right from Kroger customer service. We are Kroger faithfuls and we shop here once a week. The response to two bouquets of dead and broken roses that we paid a lot of money for, as being not a Kroger issue, was wrong. We love your floral department, but with weather being awful, we decided to use your delivery service. Maybe they broke because of Instacart, but your store had these very old and dead flowers available to begin with. That alone is embarrassing. $10 for a service and a tip for completely tasteless service from Kroger today. Also, when we ordered two 12 packs of yogurt and they substituted it with two 6 packs... it really frustrates you as a customer that simple math of 24 couldn’t be done.If you utilize a third party like Instacart, please know it still has the KROGER name attached to it.We will not be using this service again and please remind the lady who answered the phone that she works in customer service... that should entail some sort of attempt to help the customer and not passing us off.
Ordered 6 items for pick up. They called and said they were running late. Never called again. I went to store one hour past my time and was told it would be at least another hour. No one ever called me. Now 1.5 hours later they do not answer the phone. Don’t waste your y time ordering from here.
I dont know if Ive ever given a 1 star review, but this place has me pretty hot. My son just turned 16 years old and was looking for a part time job to learn some customer service skills and earn a little money. We applied online after seeing a sign in the window that they were hiring all positions. Once we applied online, we were then told we had to talk to some guy named Zel. We were given Zels schedule and asked to come back. When we came back at the requested time Zel wasnt there. We were told to try again on another day at another time. Once again, Zel wasnt there. This happened 5 separate times. Finally I went looking for this guy with my son today after being told he would be available around 2pm. He was paged. No answer. We then are told to go upstairs. I end up in the employees break room while they page this guy again. After 15 minutes me and my son get up and start asking people where this guy is. Turns out the rat is cooped up in the corner of the store. I walk up and introduce myself and my son and he has this look like, how did you find me? Because youve been paged 3 times in the last 30 minutes and we were told to be here at this time dip stick. Then my kid starts the interview and the dude basically comes off as, if you value your soul dont work here. Look, Im a lawyer. Very type A. And again I never have given a 1 star review. But this guy is a complete waste. Do not let your kids work for him or this store. If you are hoping to develop life skills for you son or daughter during their teen years go on and look somewhere else. You dont want a place like this ruining your child.
First I have to say this is the biggest Kroger I have ever seen. Good Lord its huge 😆So whoever hires or trains the folks that work here needs to be commended and given a raise. Quality throughout. This is not my neighborhood so I had a lot of questions and every single person 4 in total were beyond helpful. They were nice, courteous, genuinely friendly and eager to help. One even noticed me from afar that I was having trouble finding something and aproched me. Other stores they dont want to be bothered. It was almost like I was around my relatives. I have never seen anything like this in a grocery store. Where I constantly come across lackluster customer service and employees that appear to be forced to be there in many other businesses, this was great. Thank you Kroger Rockwall. It was nice to have been around such wonderful and good energy. Made my day. THANK YOU!
Always great service at this Whole Foods. Every employee goes out of their way to help you out without any question. Plus the safety precautions they put in place for COVID-19 are remarkable.
Prices constantly mismarked on sale items, if they even have the sale items to begin with. Advertised hams for Easter, has zero hams.
It’s a great place to shop
Its kroger ... The top off everything
Where else are ya gunna go ? Walmart lol
Apparently you cant arrive 2 minites late to pickup an order because they will just cancel your order... complete waste of time. They dont even answer the phone.
Line 6 deep on the only checker open and a line just as long at self check. Self check assistant kept leaving her post causing the line to get longer. Not just one off occurrence- happens frequently. Manager could care less. Decent management would drop what they are doing and address the issue.
The people that work there are the best. Long term dedicated professional team.
Good stock selection but the staff organization and quality of service is abysmal.
Do not order online and pay! KROGER online pay for home delivery is paid through Instacart delivery! You do not pay Kroger directly!!!! Wasted the shoppers time and my time! Delivery promise time was 1:10pm almost 3pm and still nothing! Received a picture from shopper with a basket full groceries because instacart could not process my prepaid barcode for kroger to scan and get paid! Thats right! For Kroger to get paid when I thought thats who I was paying already!
Great prices and selections.
This is a great little store to shop at, there really aren’t a whole lot of people so it’s quiet, and I love the staff. They’re always kind.
My first time visiting this Kroger location. Bigger, cleaner and a wider selection of items. I was simply passing through but Id definitely consider visiting this Kroger location again. The lines were starting to back up and there were only 2 cashier lanes opened but the cashiers were able to manage the demands in a reasonable manner. Outside of the street traffic, this is probably the best Kroger store in and surround the Metroplex.
If you have health issues and need a Money Order, customer service opens at 8AM, so you can choose between get sick with Covid or get your Money Order, no customer service for elderly people or sick people, according to Kroger we dont deserve it.
I love this Kroger! And the help is supreme. Just yesterday, I was shopping in a motorized cart, as I am handicapped, and I was having difficulty finding certain items for a recipe. Sean, who works in groceries, was so very polite and helpful, even going to another isle to get an item for me. Thank you, Sean, for your kindness and you knowledge. You know your area thoroughly. I was very impressed.
We ordered groceries a month ago and had them delivered through instacart, clearly we did not receive all of our groceries which was fine but we were not given a receipt by our delivery person and yet we were charged the same amount even without being given all our groceries from our original order. We have called and emailed and gotten no response. We understand that we are going through difficult times but customer service here is subpar.
Very nice grocery shopping experience. Very good meats, with good specials most every week. Location is easy to get in and out of. The gas station is rarely crowded and easy to access.
It is my go to. Great selection. Excellent customer service.
Times are strange for sure. Dont offer a grocery pick up service if it doesnt make sense. Sat on hold twice yesterday for 30 minutes with no answer and currently on hold a 2nd time today. We had an order made early in the week and scheduled for a Friday 3pm pick up (the availability they offered). They called at 2:30 on Friday and said theyd be running late, likely 6hrs behind schedule. Said theyd call, 2 days later still no call and now a charge is pending on our bank account. When we got through twice to a live person yesterday they put us on hold for 30 minutes then line randomly disconnected.
I understand that the grocery stores are overwhelmed during this unprecedented time but the Kroger Click List experience here is atrocious.... there is a line wrapped around the building for pick up and I have been sitting here for over three hours waiting to pick up my groceries. They give you a window of time and take the money out of your account .... how could they possibly let this get so out of control! Do not take more orders than you have the band width to fulfill. The store nor the click list phone numbers are being answered and people are getting really angry out here in the line... not practicing social distancing and wandering around talking amongst themselves. Unbelievable... shame on you Kroger! They already have our money so it’s not like we can just cancel and walk in the store!!!
This is a great little store to shop at, there really aren’t a whole lot of people so it’s quiet, and I love the staff. They’re always kind.
I love this Kroger! Its clean. Well laid out. Quality produce. Staff is always on point and polite. Kroger pharmacy is very helpful.
6:30 on a Saturday and they have one checker..
Always clean & well stocked 🤗 If theres such a thing as easy ck out this store gets A+. Moved all family RX to store pharmacy because of the GO ABOVE & FAR BEYOND NORMAL (in todays world) EXTREMELY HELPFUL PHARMACY STAFF. Its longer distance to drive but well worth it. Even gas station customer service is top notch..
Salad bar, great selection of sushi, and a nice variety of craft sodas (including my favorite energy drink, Bawls, which is usually hard to find). I also like the bulk bins, and fresh nut butter station! Prices are better than Tom Thumb on most items as well.
Second week in a row my wife was overcharged. Last week it was 9 dollars and this week 6. This makes it more tax too on the total. She didnt have time to go get her money back today, but this Kroger is losing our trust. We used to go to the one on ridge road, but this one was better once it opened. Now I dont know which one to go to anymore.
Fantastic Kroger! Very busy but employees are always helpful and kind.
This is one of my favorite Krogers! The store is always clean and staff is friendly. The produce section sometimes is lacking, but other than that, I always enjoy my shopping experience here.
Nice store and people . We shop on sundays usually before noon and they never have enough package help . Theyll have four or five registers open and one person bagging groceries. We always have to bag our groceries ourselves. We dont have that problem at the Kroger on ridge road .
I want to thank your employees for helping me shop last Saturday. I am disabled and needed an electric cart. I called the store, and within a few minutes the cart was at my van. A young man brought my things out to my van and loaded them in the van for me. Very very helpful to me. my husband passed away in Nov. and this was my first shopping trip alone. Made my day. Thanks everyone!! Joann Didier
Download the kroger app and make your shopping list on it. The app will walk you through the store to each item. Awesome time saver.
Four words: tuxedo truffle mousse cake
I shopped at this Kroger today and received the most amazing customer service from this young lady name cortneisha... I’m not sure if that’s how you spell it but she really brightens up my day every she’s there
Love Kroger I’m general. I LOVED the bulk buy items in the bins. Until today. I was getting a few items and watched a woman and her mother like adding their mouth right from the bins. One of them had so much in her hands it was falling out. The daughter held an empty bag and kept asking “mom do you want these?” Mom kept chewing. I finally asked if I could get them gloves from the bakery so they didn’t continue to contaminate the serve your self bins since they had not noticed the scoops reserved for customers loading their bags and not their mouths. Not one staff member ever passed. The kid at the self check couldn’t speak to anyone but his buddies at the front of the store. My best friend is a front end manager at a local Kroger. Not this one obviously seeing as how they are staffed with floor supervisors to police the front end, assist in loss prevention and over all serve their clientele. While I’ll be back to Kroger, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t, there’s no way I’ll utikize the bulk bins again. I now fully understand why my friends Kroger does not have one. It’s a loss to the store and as petty as it seems maybe a “no sampling” or hey stupid the flu has killed his many this pasted season??? Utterly disgusted.
Updated review.Decided to give them another chance.Went in to buy frozen chicken and the entire meat department smelled like something was rotting. The chicken was all warm to touch and the freezer thermometer read 63 degrees. I asked an employee in the meat department if he was aware that it smelled grotesque and the chicken was warm too the touch in the freezer. His response was its normal. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that 63 degrees is not freezing and the bacteria that causes food borne illnesses can start to grow and multiply if food is not kept at 45 degrees or lower. This Kroger was on top of their game when they first opened but their customer service tells me they need a reality check. Customers choose where they shop which means your employees should learn the words yes, absolutely, Id love to, how may I help you rather than no, Im not sure, I cant, we dont and sorry the trucks didnt come in again. The deli department where the fried/ baked chicken is located has the rudest customer service in particularly the older ladies that want to upcharge you for chicken that looks like its been half eaten. Get with it corporate check your management team might be time for a change. And please work on the Kroger cooked chicken.
My preference for grocery shopping.
Cashier and bagger very unfriendly. This happens about 80% of the time that I shop at this Kroger. Its just so convenient to my house but think I will start shopping elsewhere. Never but 2 lanes open no matter what time. Have stood in line for up to 15 minutes. Once in a while longer.
Kroger is a great grocery store! We love coming here! Great selection and good prices.
I LOVE this Kroger. Grocery shopping can be a stressful task but this Kroger is always so clean, well-stocked, and friendly. Its a very large store so the crowds arent too bad either. Going to this Kroger actually ends up being my me-time and I hate anytime i have to grab groceries from anywhere else.
Low rating is for grocery pick-up at this Kroger location. Service is more often than not annoyingly slow (avg 10+ min pick-up times). Online coupons have failed to redeem several times. Asked manager(s) for assistance with several online order issues and still something got messed up and was overcharged. One time they forgot to load all of our frozen foods so I literally had to drive back to the store to get them with not even an apology on arrival. Bad experiences for a service that we are charged a $4.95 pick-up free for. Grocery shopping elsewhere from now on. Inside the store however is nice and clean. Pharmacy is also polite and speedy. Those last two comments are the only reason this place got two stars.
Love the organic selection and reasonable prices. Was a little disappointed today because I needed to pickup a prescription and website said pharmacy closed at 5, got there about 4:30 and it had closed at 4. They were very apologetic about it and tried to make everything OK.
How is this store allowed not to have their workers to wear protection. Everyone ithat was working this afternoon was not wearing mask or gloves. This the carts were not being cleaned off. I will report this store for not protecting their workers and customers
Only one checker and she said she was closed. Myself and another man with baskets of food standing around with no checkers. You do not close your only checker without a replacement. Hard for people to buy merchandise if theres no one to check them out. Basic Business 101
This Kroger was great and the staff was super helpful but the other customers ruined it for me. A man came up at self check-out and took stuff from my bagging area and no one said anything. I had to tell him to force him to leave on my own and three attendants were right there through the whole altercation just chatting.
Kroger is great. Alway have what I want with great prices. Also, they have a Starbucks inside and a sushi place. Staff is very nice, an good parking.
Very clean. The store overall has a great selection of items. Everyone there was helpful.
Outstanding. People are great. One lady working in the as seen on T.V. section is amazing. Love this store.
I can’t believe a store this big has staff that don’t ID or question large, obviously illegal transactions. My car was broken into and my cards were stolen, which they then proceeded to take to this fine establishment and purchase $3000 worth of pre-filled Visa cards in separate consecutive $500 purchases. If this doesn’t scream “I stole this card” then idk what does. These people were never questioned, or ID’d, which makes me wonder if they have staff there that’s getting in on some of those stolen cards. Kroger really needs to check their staff because they’re essentially allowing this location to aid thieves spend people’s hard earned money. I doubt this is the first time this has happened there.
Love this new Kroger!! Its so huge and has an awesome floral department and produce department among many other great features
Very good! As a divorced man, I dont like cooking. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced.
Love the layout. We use the app for coupons and lists. Always friendly service. Great job hiring quality young people.
Used their clicklist pickup for the first time today. It was a great experience. They were prompt and friendly!
Just opened. Larger than average bulk area and deli section. Also, larger than average total surface. Feels very roomy.
Shopping here the last few Sundays I have noticed that I have too wait in a longer than usual line and also bag my own groceries. I Never have had an issue with this at the other Kroger in Rockwall, or the Tom Thumb down the street.
I would give this store 5 stars if it werent for their awful parking lot. The way the parking lot is laid out makes it difficult if not impossible to find a parking spot that is close up to the store. The store is always busy and parking spots close up by the store are a premium. You either have to wait and wait and wait for someone to leave or you have to walk a long way. There are more places up close to the store to park shopping carts then there are places to park a car. I feel really bad for parents with children who have to park so far out. Other then the parking lot the store is great. They have a Wonderful deli and snack bar, large variety in groceries too.
Great store. But the reason I am rating one star is because of the manager he has not costumer skills. he is rude and racist. I purchase a protein powder at Kroger and was not able to return even when it was unopened and tagged he insinuated he that I did not purchase there and said I couldn’t return it. I go to Kroger every day and spend 40- 60 dollars per day that is aproximadamente 200 per week and 800 per month that I will leave in a different store from now on.
Great produce, reasonable prices (higher than some of the other grocery stores, but product quality is excellent). Theres even a Starbucks inside if you need a pick-me-up!
I love to shop there but they are olfen out of Coke Zero and Diet Pepsi when they are on sale.
We love Kroger but since moving to the Rockwall area the Kroger on 205 seems to never have the fresh ground honey-roasted peanut machine working. 5 trips in 3 months and its yet to be working.
As an employee, I would have to say the overall quality of service from baggers is a little above average. Most of them are hard working, but some seem unmotivated. It doesnt help that they have to work longer hours due to being understaffed. Some of the cashiers, however, are the best in the district - just because they are young, doesnt mean they dont know how to do their job. Infact, you would think the adults would be better, but some of the older employees seem to entitle themselves to less work. Its hard finding those employees who care about their job, but Kroger certainly has a bunch of them.
Like the t.v. ads say, they have great food and low prices, the restrooms are not clean most of the times ( men restroom, I dont know about the womens). The workers are friendly and helpful.
The store is very clean & the employees were very helpful and friendly. I ordered a bday cake from the bakery & they did a fantastic job as well.
I just walked out of this store after bagging my own groceries while 6 male teenage employees stood down at the bakery shooting the you know what. Does no one have a concern for customer service? I rarely blame the younger generation for being lazy, but tonight I saw a grand display of it. Not happy.
Biggest Kroger I have been in! Nice place to shop. In store music is on point
One of the better Krogers. Friendly staff and good selection.
My shopping experiences at Kroger in Rockwall have been nothing less than exceptional. The Kroger associates have always been helpful, courteous and professional.
Great big store. I love shopping here.
I really love that this opened here, though considering how much money I could spend in this store, maybe not the best thing for my pocket book. Not somewhere you go for value prices, but great produce and loads of specialty items make it a great place to go for a treat!
