I had a great experience with the lady who did my hair Heather Collins. I loved the color I have had alot of compliments on it. She did a great job on my eye brows and i loved the head massage. I will be going back. Thank you so much for the experience and confidence. I just turned 51 and treated myself to the full treatment she did a great job.

Thanks to Maggie! This was by far the best experience Ive ever had here. I typically HATE coming here because I dont know anything about makeup and I always have to facetime friends for help because their employees never help. However, as soon as we walked into the store Maggie greeted us and asked if we needed help (which we did). She walked us around the store to help us get our items. We even bought the press on nails that she was wearing that she got from that store because they were cute. She made my experience great and Maggie deserves a 5 star (Perfect). However, she was leaving for the day and as we where checking out, the other employees dropped the ball big time. The wait was extremely long and I was the only one at the register where it was no employees to be found. Thank you Maggie for the wonderful experience. I typically DONT recommend Rock hills Ulta but after Maggie, I definitely will but only if shes there. Thank you so much for the help with getting my daughters prom things. You Rock! Youre the reason we spent $100 because I normally cap her spending limit at $50.

Love the products. Staff needs to know more about products. At least know where they are. More interested in stocking and inventory than the customers.

I went in Ulta Sat. 3/20/ 2021 with the intent of exchanging a fragrance for another around the same price. I had help at the register, and part of the time I was in the fragrance area. After I realized I needed 2 makeup brushes and a eye liner, I asked the lady where I could find some brushes and liners.As she rushed away, due to her being the only worker in fragrance. she pointed me in a direction. when I got there it was hair brushes. So,I ended up walking around looking and couldnt find any help at all. I felt exhausted, even asked a customer if she worked there she said no but wish she could find someone too. It was packed but it was sat. evening so they shoulda had help at least one in each dept. Smh I ended up spending 3 hrs in a store that I shoulda only been in 45-1hr.

I booked a haircut with Rina for today and I could not be happier with the results! She was so pleasant when I arrived and when she was ready for me she took me to her chair and started asking what I wanted. I explained to her that the last hair cut I got (at chain salon that I wont mention by name) was not what I wanted. I have longish hair and had asked for layers, and while I got layers they werent blended well and it just wasnt pretty. Rina ran her fingers through my hair just checking it out and assured me that it could be fixed. And while I was skeptical, the minute she was finished and turned me around to look at the end result all my skepticism was erased! I felt like I was looking at a different woman in the mirror. I couldnt stop smiling and telling her how much I LOVE it! I will definitely be seeing Rina again in two months (her recommendation to keep up my new look!)! Thank you, Rina for making me feel pretty! :)

Ive shopped at this store multiple times and my mom and sister have had their haircut here before too, but my makeup for prom was amazing. Kaylee did an amazing job and gave great tips for keeping it fresh for the rest of the night. She also makes such a comfortable environment I would 100% recommend her for any hair or makeup needs.

I love the store itself, but some of the employees have no idea what they are talking about. The last time I was there and spent over $100, and the person at the register acted as if I was bothering them by being there, sorry you were at work..I make sure they are not there before I shop now.

Courtney and trinity are the worst kind of employees and why I cant stand shopping at Ulta. I called ahead to see if i could do the curbside pick up right before closing( where they bring you put the items you already PAID for)... I’m driving from south Florida and they happen to be on my route to where I’m going and they told me no because they would shutting down their registers by then... First thats a lie snd second its petty and lazy. When i called back to ask about canceling the order I explained to the manager Courtney what happened and she didnt care to hear it and gladly cancelled my order... dont shop at this location.

I received an incredible makeup consultation today. I told the professional stylist that I was going to be in a wedding party and have photographs taken. She gave me many suggestions and showed me eyeshadow techniques to give me a polished look in photos. I learned about new makeup brushes and ways to use them. I was very pleased with the products and the way they looked on me. Thank you for having such a wonderful staff. I will be back soon.

Great products and employees

I love Ulta! Its a nice place and everyone is super nice and helpful here. I always have trouble with my nest of curly hair and bushy eyebrows. The folks are always happy to point me in the right direction, and the salon normally does a nice job with my hair. Regina, the manager, does a PHENOMENAL blowout. While it can be a little hard on my budget for average things, their sales are worth stopping in for.

Everyone that werent there was so willing to help find what I needed and very educated on helping make suggestions for my skin type

Alexis did a fantastic job with my hair. She listens attentively and puts everyone at ease. I will definitely be going back to see her and will tell others what a great job she does.

Good selection for foundations (they even carry colourpop!) and many different brands!! If youre looking for the real techniques sponge its like $3 cheaper at target tho. Mostly great tho!

Honestly if I could give zero I would. The store overall is helpful and the staff in the makeup department is exceptional. I have been skin matched, tried different foundations, and everyone is knowledgeable. Based off my previous experiences I wanted to try the hair salon, well, I wont be making that mistake again. I couldnt tell you if they were any good or not, as I was never seen. I arrived at 135 for a 145 appointment. There was a lady at the register who asked me to have a seat, you sylist is with someone and They will be with you shortly. So I sat down as I was asked to do. 153 rolls around, no one has acknowledged that I was there. I sat there reading a magazine and lost track of time and I then realized that it was 215. Me being hopelessly optimistic sat there until 233 still nothing. I was 😡, I hardly ever get a day off during the week and couldnt get my hair cut. Than 2 hours later 3 hours after my appointment I get a call from the stylist stating that she was double booked, who does that, double books hair appointments? And asked me if I could come in the next day for a cut, well no, why would I want to when I just wasted an hour of my life sitting there waiting to be treated like I dont exist. I will not go back and I strongly suggest that others dont either unless you just like to waste your time!

This store really has it together. The managers are efficient, the associates are thoughtful and knowledgeable, and the store looks incredible, after the remodel--and, even without, it seems like everyone knows how to keep it looking tidy, even in the face of chaos. I cant say enough good things about the experiences Ive had, in the past few months since moving close to this location, again. From the perspective of someone who has worked retail, AND from the perspective of a customer, this staff has the right rhythm, and Ill be filling every survey I can to keep their numbers up.

Ive always ordered my makeup online. But Ive been tanning so I needed a darker shade. Well I went in and was in awwwhhh like its makeup heaven!! Well I do believe every associate working helped me in some way. This was my first time and I was wanting everything lol. But I had such a great experience that I will make the hour and half drive back!!

I had my hair done here and asked for a layered style and some face framing. My stylist was pleasant and said she’d been doing hair for about 9 years so I wasn’t concerned as it was a relatively straightforwar cut. After she shampooed she suggested a “conditioning treatment” for my hair as it has been color treated in the past. I was unsure and she told me it would last 4-6 weeks and only cost $10 so I agreed thinking how much could some extra conditioner hurt? It was a huge mistake. She put me under the dryer with the “treatment” and even after my hair cut my hair felt like straw. Yes it was color treated before but it felt nice and even tho needed a trim, I was not at all concerned with its condition and had definitely experienced damaged hair before, my hair when I got there was not in a concerning state. I left with hair that felt and looked disgusting. The cut was incredibly uneven and I didn’t notice when I left as she styled my hair in curls, even tho I had stated I wore it straight. I had to go to another salon to get my cut fixed and the stylist there advised that I’d probably been given a protein treatment which, because my hair is fine was too much for it to handle that’s why it felt so disgusting. Due to my poor cut I had to have it cut to the shortest layer she’d given me and ended up losing about 4-5 inches. I was unhappy with the service and felt that it shouldn’t have been such a bad outcome, considering I wasn’t asking for anything outrageous. Ended up paying a lot for the service and a lot more to have it fixed. Its just hair at the end of the day, but I wanted to share my experience as it shouldn’t have turned out so poorly.

Nothing special about this Ulta. Its location doesnt make it a prime shopping store. The stores closer to larger cities have better products and stock. I Ive noticed a lot of out of date products still on the shelves, who is going to buy those? They are usually out of most of the prestige products, and their testers are usually a hot mess, destroyed if not missing all together. I dont my product if I cant test of time out on my hand first. Head towards Charlotte, the Ulta stores up there have a much better selection.

I dont usually leave reviews, but this is the local ulta for our location, the employees are decent, but the manager of the location is useless . This isnt one occasion this is multiple . Refuses to look in the back, rude, 0 customer service . Go go the one in indian land . I cant even tell you how many times they said they have something and we head over just to be told they dont by her and thats the end of the conversation. No apologies or trying to find it . Other locations are better and actually care for their customer base . This manager needs to be fired and get off her high horse . You work in retail, this is your job and youre terrible at it . Im sure you already know this . I will be reaching out to cooperate to file a complaint . Youve been given one to many chances . Dont waste your time here . Go to any other location .

This store is appalling! The employees are rude and dont bother to acknowledge any of the customers while theyre shopping. I wasnt even greeted while entering the store, even though the big black girl in clinique watched me enter. She didnt bother to smile or anything. I asked for help once and was looked at like I was crazy, so I didnt feel comfortable in there after that. I didnt bother buying my estee Lauder foundation or lancome moisturizer because of how rude everyone was. I would give this location zero stars if I could! Would not recommend!!! Save your energy and go to an Ulta elsewhere.

One of the cashiers put my number in, didnt confirm me like ULTA always does, put my transaction under another account and when I claimed that it was not me, she told me she couldnt do anything about it. She just told me to call Rewards Services. When I did, she informed me that it was clearly a cashier error. If you make a mistake, please fix it.

I came in this store dressed professionally but even if I wasnt I didnt deserve to feel as if I was going to steal something. Im not sure if this gentleman was a manger or what but this was the first time I ever felt like I was being racially profiled!

I used to really love this Ulta Beauty Store. I have alternated between this one and the one near my job in Charlotte. With this location, I have had 2 incidents in this pass year with snobby attitudes taken up by workers. My spouse recently lost their job for 4 months and so I have strayed from the designer side and have been into more cheaper products on the other side to save money. On the first incident, a security guard follow me around the whole time and on the 2nd incident, I just went in to get my Shea Butter soap which, yes again, was on the inexpensive side; I felt judged for this somehow. When I went through checkout just a few moments ago, the sales lady told me I could just stick it in my purse bc she only had bags for larger purchases. When I held out my hand for my debit card back, the lady threw it on the counter instead of just handing it to me even though I had held out my hand. Ive been a customer to this location for 10 years and I have never felt so humiltated. I dont know what changes they have made to this store or what management it has fallen in, but locations in higher scale areas are not this rude to clientele. I will not be shopping at this location ever again. Once I get back on my feet, my spouse and I will be frequenting the one located on South Tryon in Charlotte.

Edit, Oct. 2018- new staff, not as impressed. I am so impressed with this Ultas salon. From the manager Regina, to my stylist Jess and the other stylist, Bridgett and Mary. All were ready to help in any way they could. I went in asking for the (almost) impossible- black hair to silver/grey. She wouldnt let me leave without making every effort to fix my difficult hair. Ive had alot of stylist and do alot to my hair, but I know for sure, Jess will always take care of it, not just because of the quality of her work, but her dedication to making it right.I dont always do long reviews, but I highly suggest going to Ulta to get any style you want.

Shout out to Hailey & DAndrea!!!This is not my usual ULTA store however I went to this location to get a product the NC store was possibly out of (in NC Ive yet to EVER have a sales rep bother to look at their inventory list...let alone physically look in the store for product). So off to RH ULTA I go since online it says the product IS in stock. Of course it wasnt, which Im totally used to this reoccurring issue at ULTA. What was different was this lovely sales rep named DAndrea (sp). Wow, not only did she look it up- she looked in the display area and then went in the back to look around since the inventory list showed there were 2 left. Meanwhile while she was giving it her all to find that product...another lovely ULTA rep named Hailey, asked if she could help me in any way. Yall, in NC, Ive only been offered help once (and I go there a lot!). I already had a list but Hailey asked if she show me what she uses. I said sure and ended up LOVING what Hailey put on my face. Plus she tossed in a couple of samples of related products that I used last night & also love. Im feeling really good about how I was treated & the products!! DO NOT ALLOW THIS SALON TO TOUCH YOUR HAIR!I made an appointment to have my roots colored and my highlights touched up two weeks in advance and was assured that my stylist Robert would do an excellent job. I arrived on time and everything was going well until the foils started to be removed and my hair was 50 shades darker than it was when I arrived. I had very FEW strains of highlighted color and lots and lots of DARK BROWN hair. Robert then cut my hair and dried it and styled it with a flat iron. As he was styling my hair I noticed a lot of smoke coming from the iron. I assumed this was due to the tremendous amount of product he had put into my hair so I was alarmed but not frightened. I was not satisfied with the end color but thought I could live with the much darker result, until I got home and discovered I had horizontal blonde lines going through my hair and that the ends of my hair had been burned. I immediately went back to the salon and confronted Robert about the horizontal blonde lines and he said Oh I didnt notice those. Really you cut, dried and styled my hair but you didnt see the horizontal lines! And have you ever heard of using a low heat setting on the flat iron? A blind person could see how burnt my ends were. Ive never had such a thing happen before so I had no idea what I was in store for next. Robert then proceeded to put an entire bottle of toner on my hair and sat me in a chair while he cut another customers hair. I sat for 10-15 minutes then he washed out the toner and I had basically EVEN DARKER HAIR with blonde spots throughout my entire head. So Robert put another entire bottle of toner on my hair and had me sit for another 10-15 minutes. Again he washed out the toner and added something else to my hair as he washed it, Im still not sure of exactly what that was but as you can guess by now my hair is almost black. He dried my hair again and offered to put in more highlights later in the week. I was so upset that I just wanted out of the salon, mind you it is 5 hours later and Ive spend all day in this salon. I decided to go home and survey the mess that was now my hair. After crying I went back to the salon for a full refund and had the manager Carl (who watched everything from his chair) apologize and say I know this isnt what you were looking for. I waited a week and went to another salon, they did what they could to put in some highlights without all of my hair falling out but the ends were so burnt from that flat iron I was forced to have another 2 inches cut from my already above shoulder length hair just to blend everything together. So in all I had my hair COMPLETELY RUINED at Ulta by Robert and it cost me $250 at another salon to have another stylist attempt to save as much of my hair as possible. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO ULTA.
