We love our comfort window, we had them at our last house and just replaced every window in our new home. The installers were amazing, especially Merrill and his crew! They were professional and did a great job! I would 1000% recommend them. The windows did take much longer than the quoted (covid delay + 12 weeks) and the customer service was lacking to say the least. However the windows speak for themselves product wise. Just expect delays and to constantly contact them to get answers.

We have used Comfort on 2 houses now. but this time they turned a window into a door. The workers were great, put up plastic to block all the dust and were in and done in a few hours. Mark the salesman is always professional and honest. They arent the least expensive in the area but you pay for the quality and warranties.

My wife and I solicited several different companies to come to our home and sell us a new entry door and to replace an existing window with a sliding glass door. All were well known in the Rochester area but only one, Comfort Windows and Doors, made the cut. The salesman even gave us other ideas and quotes for projects we intended on doing at a later date. The installation team of Kyle S. & John A. were phenomenal! They were professional and very informative of the steps throughout the process. The doors look great and I look forward to working with Comfort again. Hopefully, Kyle & John will come back!

Only had two guys show up for 5 windows. Thought it be all day but within an hour 2 more guys showed up and they were done in a few hours. Everything went as planned and it looks amazing.

We were blessed when we bought our home 4 years ago that all the previous homeowners did an amazing job with maintenance and upgrades over the years. The only deficiency was that the home still had its original 30 year old windows. We knew from day one that we needed to replace them sooner than later.We saved up and finally called highly-recommended Comfort Windows last August. Our salesperson, Don, was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained all our options in great detail without any pressure tactics.We chose the window line manufactured by Comfort Windows themselves in Syracuse. 20 windows, triple-paned, one layer of Low-E coating and argon filling. Our house is a traditional colonial so we stuck with the grids on the front but left them out in the rear. We even changed some windows to picture windows. Wow! What an amazing great decision. The light and views are just gorgeous. We also replaced a sliding door between the house and a sunroom addition.Comfort Windows are great quality and affordable. The craftsmanship is top notch. Great value for the product.Like many others acknowledged, our project was delayed by 3 months due to the pandemic. We were originally given a November installation time frame, but didn’t get them installed until February.The real heroes of this project were Paul and Chris. Temperatures in the teens, thick snowpack, heavy lake effect snow, nothing stopped these guys. They were very professional, polite, COVID conscious, and did quality workmanship through some really tough weather conditions. A few other guys popped in here and there to lend a hand, but I didn’t get to meet them. Paul and Chris were “our guys” and we welcomed them into our home like family.When all said and done, we absolutely love our new Comfort Windows. The energy efficiency ratings are spectacular and we can’t wait until we stick it to RG&E. We used a thermometer to check the difference. While it was 12-degrees outside, our original double-paned windows averaged 40 degrees on the face. Imagine, that’s like leaving multiple refrigerators wide open 24/7. The new Comfort Windows were 60 to 65 degrees on the face of the glass. What a difference! We actually had to turn down our thermostat because we were sweating at night.The windows are gorgeous and you can just tell that they were built to last well into the future. A great investment with no buyers remorse.You just can’t beat Comfort Windows. Don’t believe the hype of the overrated national brand. How can a window made to be “one size fits all” serve the climates of California, Florida, Arizona and the winters of New York? These windows are made in New York. These windows are made for New York. Support local businesses and local hard working men and women.

Return customer for window replacement in home. Windows replaced beginning of July 2020 and overall pleased with the windows and installation. However; a final walk-around was not performed with us to address a couple concerns with installation of the picture window seen in photos attached, gaps in siding, corners not complete. called to request this be addressed on 7/11/20, message left, but have yet to be contacted or the issue corrected as of 8/7/20.

Had a guy come out to discuss a kitchen door. Everything seemed fine, he said hed give me a call in a week to see if I was ready to move forward or had other questions. 4 weeks later, havent heard from him. Sent him a note a few days ago asking him to reach out, still no word. At this point, I probably wouldnt just do the job on the basis of the lack of effort theyve put forth even trying to earn the business, theyre basically asking me to beg them to take my business, no thanks. If you can get them to respond to you, their product seemed pretty good though.

The installation of 3 new storm doors was done with professionalize work by Bob and Kyle. They did great jobs of explaining the truth doors, also cleaned every thing.

Wow, my windows look amazing!! I recently bought a 1935 home with original windows which have definitely outlived their lifespan. The Comfort team totally transformed my house with these new windows. Worked with Dave in sales and Paul lead the work team. Very impressed by the craftsmanship!! The team was clean and professional. I would definitely recommend this company to others and would return as a customer.Cons: 6 month wait, but due to covid, this was not a surprise. Hefty price tag, but you get what you pay for, which is quality windows and a job well done.

We had 2 teams that performed the work on our house. They installed 13 Windows and a patio door. I would rate both teams a 5. The installation was great, answered all of our questions, very polite and conscientious. We were impressed with how careful they were inside the house and with the clean up outside.

We replaced 40 + windows on our 64 yr. old home and could not have been more impressed or pleased! It took them 2 weeks to complete and their team was efficient, courteous, highly skilled and CLEAN! Try to get answers about cost of products and could not.Their process puts you in touch with too many representatives (Overhead) that U’m sure the customers pay for. You can’t just get a quote you have to schedule and then be sold like buying a car.I was excited about Comfort but they wore me out with questions instead of getting me the answers I wanted

This is my first time using Comfort Windows and they were fantastic! The windows were back ordered a bit due to the pandemic, but this is completely understandable. Paul and Chris were the gentlemen installing the windows and they did an AMAZING job! The were on time, efficient, very professional and respectful. They moved all of the furniture back into place and did an excellent job with clean up afterward.They even fixed 2 window sashes that were not right to make sure that the windows were safe before finishing. They did an excellent job and the windows are beautiful! Highly recommend!

They did a clean cut of putting the windows in. Service of installing and selling was very good. If you visit the shop the very polite. But after my windows were put in, a chemical smell was horrible. I even aired out the house after a couple days. Still the smell continued but not as bad. It lasted over a week. As I’m writing this I’m still dealing with it. With no response from the company about the smell. Which I have called a few times

I’m a DIY person and have a design engineering background, I may be a bit more critical of contracted work on my house. I contracted Comfort to install three new doors and two attic windows in my 105 year old house. What I thought to be unusual and challenging was handled expertly by the two man crew of Paul and Chris. The final look of the installation is stunning, the entrances to my home are beautiful and welcoming. This was money well spent, an obvious increase of the value of the house.

Unfortunately we are really upset with the product we recieved/ordered.The sales people are really good and seem personable but they arent listening and are just as bad as Anderson, they only want a Sale. End of story. We specifically ordered NON gridded windows. (I hate them, we had them previously, its one of the reasons I wanted new windows)After talking to the sales person who AGREED with us that no grids was better for sight lines etc after waiting about 6 months (we knew it was back ordered but we were told closer to 4). The day finally came for my new perfect windows and of course they had grids. We tried to reach out to our sales person that blew us off completely. At this point we waitied so long I couldnt imagine trying to order again but we werent even offered that option to reorder. Nothing was done to try and make it right for us. Not even an apology. Im so upset and I hate the windows that I was once so excited to get. Pay more for better service. Lesson learned.

The team did an amazing job installing all of your windows. Very professional and friendly. They noticed we had new shutters in our garage and even offered to install them for us! 4 screens had little holes in them so they offered to take them back to have them re-screened and brought back out to us. The only negative was it took a month to get the 4 screens back. From sales to measuring to install, excellent customer service and quality windows! We are even having them come back to install a couple new doors in our house.

A representative called me on Friday afternoon but I was getting ready for a wedding and couldnt talk. I need a couple windows replaced. So anyway, she said she would call me back on Monday, but its now Wed night and I havent heard a word. I guess she didnt want my business.

Paul and Chris spent 2/17/21-2/19/21 here the coldest of the winter installing 15 windows and three doors ( job#242551) we could not have asked for two more polite, professional, knowledgeable installers. I was working from home even conducting training via Zoom and never was there any interruptions in my work. They planned my office first and it was done quickly with no down time as it was in the plan ahead of time. There was never any sign that they were here at the end of each day. Thank you

The large picture window could not be opened... The solid pane of glass took them quite awhile to remove but they persisted. After removing the pane of glass and making some changes to the window sill, the new window was installed. It will be wonderful to be able to open a window in that room after 51 years!! The 2-man team did a great job and I would highly recommend anyone considering new windows to consider using Comfort Windows. I am glad I did.

Our installation team of Merle and Josh did a great job. Our home was left spotlessly clean at the end of each day. The men arrived at the agreed on time each day, and were friendly and were happy to explain what they were going to be doing each day. Great quality and great service. Our salesman, Jordan was professional and trustworthy. Well definitely use him again on any future projects. He took my vision and made it even better. I had a small kitchen sink window replaced with a large one that brings in so much natural light. I also had the bathroom windows off the kitchen replaced along with the back door for a full glass storm door. Its 20 degrees out and a foot of snow and I think my kitchen is warmer than it was even with all these huge windows! If youre thinking about replacing windows spend the extra couple dollars for the piece of mind. Installation took less than a day and the installers were courteous, polite and cleaned up nicely afterwards.

The two gentlemen who installed our new patio door were knowledgeable, personable and meticulous in checking their work themselves while making sure I was comfortable with every step of the project. The door itself is just what we ordered although, as with nearly everything this year, it was extremely late in delivery. We were cautioned about this when we ordered it so there were no unexpected surprises. I am totally satisfied with the install and will be researching window purchases this summer.

Have used this company for years in our old house. If there is ever an issue they are very responsive. John and Kyle did our last window install in our new home and it was great.

Called to schedule an estimate. On the day scheduled, they were over 30 minutes late. I called the company to see if their person was running late or if we needed to reschedule. The person who answered said they would call me back. It has been over a week, and still no call.

The crew was professional, very, polite, and finished ahead of time,. There were a few issues, and they were out here and correcting things the next business day. Also, we looked at three other window companies and their window seemed superior in the same price range, and what definitely won me over is they were the only window whose frames had blown in insulation. Extremely happy and would highly recommend.

I dont usually write reviews but this is a company I have spent significant money with in the past. They worked with me and we got the jobs done. Boy things have changed....This time I asked for numerous quotes, and over the next 2 years I would have spent significant money again with them. (windows, siding, deck rails, gutters, front door, etc)The salesman was nice enough but provided ridiculously inflated quotes.$4000 for a low to mid range steel door, no glass, and a storm door, $2400 for gutters (I had another quote of $1300 for almost identical install), $1300 for a single 24x30 window(they have installed many windows for me MUCH cheaper in the past), and $5100 for vinyl railings I can buy the identical ones (hint: weatherables)shipped to my home for $2500 online. I know they have to be getting the rails cheaper than I can, and it isnt $3000 in labor to install them...I emailed him back with a counter offer providing examples and an estimate for gutters as rationale why I felt my counter was reasonable.I know I low balled a bit expecting a counter back from him and maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle, but instead I got told the price is the price and I should go to the other gutter installer because their price is cheaper. I also was told the prices are high because they have to drive to me. Im only 40 minutes away!Dont you price match per your website?? Wouldnt a salesman try to earn my business and not just tell me good luck in the future and to go elsewhere after one message exchange?On top of that it took him almost a week to reply by email, didnt answer text, and you cant leave him a voicemail because his mailbox is full.Too bad a once good company no longer cares about their customers, at least on the sales side. Or maybe just this salesman doesnt....2 stars because their service department still seems responsive and reasonable.EDIT: In response to the owner, YES I can make an apples to apples comparison for the vinyl railing because Weatherables is the EXACT railing you sell. Not just something DIY off the web. EXACT. You just sell it under a different brand name.I found both installation manuals from USA Vinyl and they are IDENTICAL minus the branding, right down the the customer support phone number.The difference is I paid $2350 shipped to my house and can find a contractor with a lot of experience to install it for less than $2700.And lets not get into how many repairs your company has had to on my home after the other work you did in the past. You had to send an entirely different crew out to fix stuff and Ive had to call 3 times for siding falling off the house(which now costs me money to have you fix).I chalked it up to getting the bad apple crew the first time, and was willing to give Comfort another try, but please dont preach to me about how I am paying for this unmatched level of quality and peace of mind by paying overly inflated labor rates.

Jon and Kyle from Comfort Windows, came to replace 3 windows and install a 4th where a sliding glass door used to be. They were FANTASTIC! They were extremely professional and courteous and their workmanship was superb. They communicated very clearly what theyd be doing and welcomed any questions that I had throughout the installation process. They were meticulous about the details and I was confident when they were finished that the windows were installed correctly and were weather tight. Not only that, but the area where the work was performed was cleaner than when they arrived. I normally dont like to hire outside contractors to do home repairs and only do so when I cant do the work myself, but Id highly recommend these guys and will have them back to replace other windows in the house.

Was very pleased with the whole process. I had Comfort install a bay window previously and it was also a successful experience. This time it was a new front door unit after other doors had failed me over the years. Their quote was very close to others I had received. I love that they have their own crew to install and do not subcontract. A slight problem with the door handle and they returned immediately to correct. The bonus was the door was ready sooner than expected and was promptly installed.

Do NOT order doors from this company! They are the absolute worst!!! We ordered interior doors from them back in March of 2020 and just had them installed in October 2020 and out of 16 doors only 3 weren’t damaged! They came again this week to replace all the damaged doors and only 2 were good out of all the ones they brought! Now we have to wait months to get the replacements and take off work again and pray those doors aren’t damaged too! Thanks for nothing! Huge waste of money and our time!!!

The crew who installed my doors were highly skilled, friendly, courteous, on-time, and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond with the installation, taking care to details. They had to do quite a bit of work to get my doors to fit and their work was masterful.

Good quality windows. Took an extremely long time from order to installation. The window surfaces were extremely dirty with residue (glue, caulk, and dirt from the manufacturing process (at least that is what the installers said. There was also a visual imperfection in one of six windows that looks like a bead of glass on the inside of the dual pane window.

Windows are fine and installed without incident. Downside was more than average wait and poor communication. I called the seller 3 times he returned the first call but not the others. All I wanted was a installation date approximately. This was about 3 weeks after we had planned. Then out if the blue they called and asked whether the very next day was possible perhaps because I had said if it didn’t happen soon I would want my deposit back. They called saying and “don’t forget we need your outstanding 4K tomorrow”. Of all the nerve, one day notice but expect their payment on time. I won’t use them again.

Eric and Kyle showed up on time for the 8am installation of the 3 brdroom windows. They were polite, respected my home putting booties on their shoes when they came in from the snow, made sure I understood how the installation would work, what the proccess was for removal and replacement and afterwards walked me through the operation and care of my beautiful new windows! I felt comfortable with them in my home and felt like they genuinely cared about doing a quality job.

The sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very understanding about the process. The techs were also very friendly and did a good job. I had my bathroom redone and am very satisfied. There was a minor issue that they completely made up for which is all you can ask for.

The 3 installers worked efficiently and did an excellent job of removing old windows and installing new windows and frames in a very timely manner and removed all debris. The windows appear to be of high quality and well-sealed.

The experience with Comfort was everything that could have been asked for. The siding that was installed looks fantastic. The crew was incredibly professional and did quality work. They were dedicated to their craft and it shows in the final product.

I had a lot of work done a few years ago by Comfort. There were a lot of mistakes from the beginning. I had a roof installed and it leaked after the first rain storm. Comfortcame and fixed the problem with the roof, but not my damaged drywall, paneling and ceiling. I had gutters installed and the downspout was left facing my basement and flooded the basement. After a long time going back and forth, Comfort replaced some of the insulation. I had basement windows replaced and I was left with uneven jagged edges and concrete pouring down the walls, again after going back and forth, Comfort fixed it. I am giving a 1 star because I thought I was hiring a professional company and there were way too many problems... These are just a few... The other issue with Comfort is the attitude of some of the employees. If I spoke to people like Terry, the receptionist in the Rochester office, I would not have a job. Terry is always rude, not just one occasion, but every time I have had the displeasure to speak with her. I can not believe that she is allowed to speak to customers like she does. Terry does not have good customer service skills and she is very condescending. Terry needs to be disciplined, but that will never happen because they just dont care. Everyone was accommodating and friendly until you hire them and then things change. Now every phone call with Terry, after she belittles you is There is a fee! How Terry keeps a job dealing with the public is mind boggling. If Terry was the first person I spoke with when I was looking for a company to work with for my home improvement needs, I would never have chosen Comfort. Dealing with Terry would have driven me away from hiring Comfort, as she is so difficult to communicate with. I am now regretting choosing Comfort...

Comfort redesigned my bathroom - they installed a bigger shower, toilet, new vanity and moved done plumbing. They were careful, always laid out covers on flooring and cleaned up every day, communicated with me throughout the renovation, were responsive to any questions/concerns, and the final job was beautiful.

New front door installed in a reasonable amount of time. Looks great. Works great. The crew installed it cleanly and the finish work looks amazing. Its the first time in 12 years that I can walk past my front door and not get a breeze or chill.

Installation team was top notch, clean and organized, and even made a few small repairs to siding, calking and a small ceiling damage we didnt have a ladder tall enough to reach. Love the product, looks great and functions well, time will tell if they hold up. Would have given 5 stars but was quoted a 6 week turn around time from order to install, but it turned out to be 12 weeks which set us back a little on some other projects we have lined up.

Comfort installed a new entry door on my house. Fred was one of the installers for this project. He did a fantastic job and was very personable, competent, and friendly. The door looks amazing. The quality and detail of the work is wonderful. The installers arrived at the scheduled time and were finished with the project much sooner than anticipated. I recommend Comfort, especially Fred, for your next project!

On time both days. finishing what they said they’d finish, friendly and kind and fast!I would recommend Comfort Windows and Doors AND this particular trio to anyone. The front door is beautiful and the two windows we had replaced are flawless. I can’t wait to get the rest of them replaced! Thank you one and all.

Comfort Windows was very good overall. Sales person was true to his word and provided information in a timely manner. The scheduling process was particularly good. Terry kept me updated as to product and delivery status and also coordinated the install with the product availability of 3rd party products. Install was good. I would use Comfort again.

Fred and Phil replaced a window and put in a new front door this week. They did a great job! We anticipated needing to do a lot of repair and painting when they were done but we only need to paint the new trim around the door! Outstanding work by these 2 gentlemen!!!!

My husband and I are very pleased with the work Comfort has done on our home and garage. Mike was there for our home and a few years later our garage. He knew us and what we expected. Mike understood our plan and went above and beyond to see it through!Patrick was also with us from house to garage and shared our vision. My wife and I bought a house last November that had all the original wood windows from the 60s. They were cracking and falling apart so we decided to do a complete replacement of all. The sales guy Chris that came out for the estimate was great. He was super knowledgeable and you could tell he sincerely cared about what he was doing. He was honest and gave us the best possible deal. He was quick to respond and super personable. Right on the dot, 6-8 weeks after signing the contract and doing final measurements, they called to schedule install for the next two days. The two gentlemen that came for install were just as great. They worked quickly and efficiently. There was tarps placed under their work areas to prevent a mess. They removed the shutters for me despite it not being in the scope of work. They had all the windows complete except three in the first day. Second day they installed the three sliders we purchased including a giant front window that is in our living room. Despite rain they had all in before noon. All the trim got wrapped in vinyl and looks beautiful. It was overall a seamless and painless process. One of the workers even built me an A/C cap to prevent the window unit from scratching the frame. The windows look incredible and transformed our 1963 built house. I would 100% recommend them to others. My mom actually got hers replaced by a different company a couple years ago and when she saw ours, she said she wishes she had gone with Comfort instead.
