After the bakery I normally go to unfortunately closed due to Covid, I searched for a replacement and found River City Sweets. I took a chance and ordered a sushi cake, hoping the cake tasted as good as the one I used to get from the other bakery. Boy am I glad I did! For one, Heather was so responsive and easy to work with, second, she nailed it with the design (which looked amazing) and third and just as important, the chocolate cake was absolutely delicious and moist! The other reviews were precise and I want folks to know that this is a great bakery and I am very happy I found her! She decorated the cake with lots of details, down to the ribbon around the board the cake is on. Ill definitely order future cakes and other baked goods from here and you should to!! :)

Heather was phenomenal! Inclement weather caused alot of problems with plans but she was very accommodating. The cookies were super cute!!!! and omg so tasty! we will definitely be a repeat customer! nothing like great customer service!Repeat customer, came back and ordered a basketball cake for my son! It was so good! we received so many compliments on design and taste!

Ordered a cake for a 30th birthday a few months back with River City Sweets. I was extremely happy with the cake, the communication with Heather, and the timeline, as I was requesting the cake only a week in advance. Would absolutely order from RCS again, and fully intend on it. The cake exceeded our expectations and truly was one of the best cakes I’ve had. Thanks again!

River City is absolutely fantastic! I am not very experienced with cakes but Heather was able to recommend and design the perfect cake for my wife and Is anniversary. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious as well. I would highly recommend River City to anyone seeking baked goods and I will be sure to use them in the future!

Heather is easily one of my favorite bakers in all of the land, but especially Richmond. She is super easy to work with and is always ready to share ideas and work with difficult timelines. Not to mention the creations and dessert she makes are some of my favorite I have had my whole life. My family always wants a River City Sweets birthday whoopie pies, cake or cookies. There is a dessert for everyone, and I believe River City Sweets is the place to find that dessert.

Beyond thrilled with the service I got from River City Sweet for our wedding! Heather was so wonderful to work with! She was very accommodating with our limited budget, and helped us make a plan to have plenty of cake for all of our guests while keeping the price where we needed it to be. Heather made us sheetcakes in addition to a display cake and everything was excellent! All of our guests made comments about how wonderful the cake tasted. We chose four different flavors for our sheetcakes, and I had guests make comments about every single one being delicious and how they were tracking down waitstaff to get additional pieces of certain flavors. Additionally, Heather made a naked cake for us that looked absolutely amazing! It was exactly what we had envisioned, and she stayed true to the images we had provided her for what we would like. I heard a lot of people leading up to my wedding comment that naked cakes can end up dry since theres very little frosting, but everyone who tried the cake thought it tasted just as great as the sheet cakes. We loved working with River City Sweets and would definitely hire Heather again for any of our other baked goods needs!
