Cant say enough about this business. I had an issue with some tires and the owner called me directly to resolve my issue. Simply said, he went over and above my expectations of doing the right thing. If youre looking for honesty and best in class customer service this is a business you would want to support.

In my experience with Dyke Tire, they consistently under-promise and over-deliver. I have never left unhappy, and I feel like people there care about their jobs and their customers. Ive never had a job take longer than quoted, and have also seen them finish work earlier than quoted. Pricing is also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

First I want to say this place is trustworthy and the reason I have used them for the past 5 years. They dont try to tell you something is wrong when it isnt. I went in this most recent time because I thought my car sounded funny. They drove it, couldnt get it to make the noise, so they didnt charge me and referred me to a transmission shop who they also said is trustworthy. Ive been in before when I had a giant screw in my tire fully prepared to buy a new tire. They pulled the screw out, tire wasnt pierced, they sent me on my way. Great people that know what theyre doing. Highly recommend them!

After being quoted over 1,100 dollars at Firestone, Dyke Tire took care of everything I needed for more than half that price. The employees are knowledgeable, kind, and personable. I wasnt pushed product, and there were absolutely no surprise fees. So long as Im located in Richmond, I wont go anywhere else ever again.

I use Dyke Tire for my work supplier, so when I needed tires for my car, I requested a quote online. They responded within a few hours and I called the Skipwith location to make an appointment. When I arrived I learned that I needed 17 tires instead of 16 (also learned that my Fusion is an SE, not an S - the tire size was my mistake). My service person, Greg, told me that due to the increase in size the tires would be more expensive. I went online to search and found tires for less, but Greg readily offered to match the price. Greg also said that if I waited they would have my car finished in an hour and a half. They were early, it was about an hour and 10 minutes. Overall a great experience and I will be back.

Had bad experience with new tires at one of the big chain tire stores in Richmond. They never could get it right. Finally I got fed up and gave these guys a try since they were close by. We were in Richmond from upstate New York today and realized we had picked up a nail in the back tire. We couldn’t drive much more than 100 miles without getting air but luckily we found this wonderful shop. We arrived shortly after 11, they got the car right in and by the time we had a little lunch it was done! $24.00 and they patched the tire from the inside, didn’t just put in a quick plug. I needed to get a recall done at the dealership in March 2019, and took it in for that. Dealership said my r/f balljoint was bad, which was $450, and also required alignment ($99), which I did. Honestly, the alignment wasnt even done well but I did not go back (my choice). Also, they said that my brake pads and rotors were bad, suggesting I replace. I opted not to do that work.Fast forward 20,000 miles later, I am at my normal shop (Dyke Tire). I asked them to do the brake pads and rotors. They called and said they do NOT need to be done, and that I had 40% wear left on my front pads, and 25% left on the rear, and that I was fine to delay this service. Coincidentally, at this time, I was also getting the truck inspected, so they were looking closer at everything. They also noted my l/f ball joint was bad, which needed replacement for inspection. That total came to $380, nearly $200 LESS than the dealership. Dyke Tire is a very reputable brake and tire shop (hence the name) and they do a lot of trucks. How these two service providers can be so different is beyond me, but Dyke could have replaced my pads and rotors like I asked and I would have no clue that the dealership lied to me (or was very, very wrong in their assessment, which is about as bad as lying). I will always trust and appreciate the service and advice from Dyke Tire. 5 stars.

My car was rejected yesterday during inspection. I called around to get pricing on repair and Dyke Tire gave me the best price. I set up appointment for first thing this morning and I was in and out by 9:00 am. Car passed inspection and I was back at work by 10:00. I am very satisfied with the service, price and quality of work. I rate Dyke Tire at 5 stars.

Jimmy and the guys always take care of what my vehicles need done! Jimmy and his staff are great about explaining the situation with all the options and then recommending only what they feel is needed. I have asked Jimmy many time if it was your vehicle what would you do and every time his input has been spot on. Took my car in to get its tires replaced. Tech scratched the wheels with the tire mounting machine. I came back & the owner agreed to remedy the problem. Owner had a specialist refinish the damage, but the work was totally sub-par. To top things off, after repairing the wheel damage, my car was returned with a broken door. I got fed up with dealing with these guys & fixed the problem myself. If youre attentive to details & want the best for your car, look elsewhere.

I was traveling and unexpectedly got a flat tire. I was quoted over $300 at Mercedes Benz for a run flat tire which was above my budget. I went to dyke tire and was able to get my tire patched for less than a quarter of the cost.

Fantastic service from honest guys. Theyll let you know what actually needs to be fixed or replaced, and theyll tell you if something is actually fine. I thought my brake pads and rotors needed replacing but after they checked they said theyre only at 50 percent, so I really dont need to replace them yet. Though my brake fluid could be flushed if I wanted. They saved me money and time all at once. Theyre allignments cost very little as well.

Beware. I brought my car here for a state inspection out of convenience because they are near my work. They failed my car and said it needed both inner tie rods replaced. I brought my car to my regular mechanic that I trust and have known for seven years. He said there is nothing wrong with my tie rods.

Ive been taking my car, now 3 cars, to Dyke for years. I get good advice and fair prices. Today I was looking up their phone number and notice one negative review. I promised myself that when todays work was complete, that Id return here to give todays review....and my experience is unchanged. Consistantly great advice, fair pricing, completion when promised and peace of mind that no other local tire shop provides me. In all the years of my patronage Ive had nothing but good service.

If I were able to rate this business with 0 stars, I would. I received the worst possible service from this place. I went into have a few tires replaced. I called in a few days prior to ensure the tires were available prior to showing up. I was told then that they would have the tires in about an hour. I told them I would be in later in the week to have them installed. They said that would be fine. I opted to wait at the store for the tires to be put on. After waiting for 2 hours, I asked the service writer if the car was almost done. He proceeds to call to the back to check on the progress. He was informed, 2 hours later, that the tires were not in stock and there was a mis-communication. The service writer was a bumbling fool and realized that he should have followed-up to make sure the tires were available sometime sooner than 2 hours later (at the request of a customer, no less).After wasting 2 hours of my time, I asked them to get the car since I was leaving. At that point, I was met by the owner who apologized for the problem. He volunteered to have someone give me a ride to where ever I needed to go and they would go and get the tires. That was his best answer... I call it unacceptable. Mistakes such as these cost money...I dont feel he did anything above and beyond to correct the problem. If they were operating the way they should have been, there would be no reason to give me a ride anywhere. After speaking with him, I understand why his service writers deliver such poor customer service. The joke of a service writer should be happy that hes working where hes at...no one else would tolerate him. That man would be on the unemployment line. I asked to have my car back...I had to wait even longer...they had the wheels off of the car...and no tires in stock! I cant believe this place is in business.Ill be sure to let everyone I come into contact with about this poor experience. Let this be a lesson to take care of your customers when something goes wrong. Hopefully, this will cost this joint some business.

I never write reviews, but I had a great experience with Dyke Tire & Batt. My wife had just given birth to our second child the day before and the AC in our home broke while in the hospital. I left to trouble shoot the issues with our AC and found a 3 inch nail in my tire, making an already bad day worse. Dyke Tire was close by and I brought the tire there to have them look at it. It took only an hour or so, which was super fast in my opinion due to there being 6 other people in the waiting room, and the tire was fixed. They didn’t try and convince me to buy a new tire and fork out $125 when they knew they could repair it. I do the vast majority of auto work myself when I can and have had bad experiences with so many auto shops and mechanics in the past. Dyke Tire was one of the best experiences I’ve had and would not hesitate to return. The staff were polite and professional and seemed to enjoy working there.

I am in the car for my job so it was really important on how long it would take to complete the tire repair it was fast and inexpensive .

About a month ago, I had the pleasure of working with Dyke Tire. I had bought tires from an online provider, and apparently one of them was not in great shape. When I called Michelin, they offered Dyke as an option to evaluate the noise and vibration. Frankly, I was expecting to be told I needed new bearings, but not only did the guys there determine it was not a mechanical issue, they pulled all 4 tires and re-balanced/mounted them, spending Im guessing a couple hours trying to determine the cause. When that didnt fix the road noise or slight vibration, they called Michelin on my behalf, ordered 4 new tires and installed them. While I still have some small road noise at ~45mph (probably due to a harder tire compound than my previous set), the vibration is gone and at higher speeds, it is no longer noticeable. Honest and will be going back.

Always friendly and call me by name. Most recently, they worked me in quickly for an oil change before a last minute trip - I so appreciate that kind of service!

By far the most professional, honest automotive service I have received in the Richmond area. I would not take my vehicle elsewhere.Their specialty certainly is tires and alignment work, however they are a full service repair shop with knowledgable mechanics who perform quality repairs. This is a great option if you have a used car with an expired dealer warranty or are just tired of hassling with the high-pressure environment of a dealership and would rather do business with a group that is not trying to perform unnecessary repairs and truly has your best interest in mind.

If I could give a zero star I would. I went to this shop because a coworker referred me there. Huge mistake! I am new to the area and thought I was going to establish a relationship with a quality repair shop. Instead they tried to charge me $800.00 for work that did not even need to be done. The cost on the parts was estimated at more than three time my retail price. I probably appeared to be a woman that was anxious about my brake problems and they decided to take full advantage of me. I ended up paying a total of $300.00 to have the repairs done and most of the things they said needed repaired were false. Women beware!

I have been a customer at Dyke Tire for at least 15 years. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and have always been able to fix any automobile problem we have. Greg, Scott and John all have excellent customer service. We have 4 cars that we have serviced there, so we are there often.

Ive been taking my car to Dyke Tire & Battery Tire Pros for several years now to have it serviced, repairs made, inspections and tires.Being a 76 year old widow, I asked around and compared experiences with many of my friends before selecting Dykes. So far my experiences have been totally positive. I always feel my car is safe and kept in good repair by them. When I needed new tires, I shopped prices and found theirs to be competitive with Cosco and Sams.I find the men there respectful, willing to explain in detail what is wrong and how it is to be repaired. I know upfront what the costs will be and what to expect in the future as my car gets older. Most importantly, they talk with you -- not at you. That means a lot.

Took my car in not too long ago. Its their policy to replace the disc every time they replace the break pads even if its not necessary. Not to mention they failed my inspection because my break pads needed to be replaced. BF took a look at my pads and I havent even lost 40% of my break pads. Really feel like they just looked at me as a younger woman and said to themselves, she probably doesnt know anything about cars and set me up to replace something that didnt need to be replaced for one thing so they could make their profits. Wont be returning. Would definitely give 0 stars if that were an option.***I did read their response, and all I can say is I had it have a THOROUGH inspection at CarMax, and they confirmed out suspicions and said my break pads looked almost brand new.

Ive been going there since 2001 when I got a ridiculous quote on tires from another garage that Id been going to for years. When I found out that they perform all types of services, my family and close friends all started going there, too. Service is personal and once when I had 3 wheel bearings go bad, instead of cheating me and doing all 4, they told me how odd that was and only repaired what actually needed to be fixed. They even suggested I find out if the vehicle had sustained water damage because the rust that occurred was not normal. I was sold from then on. They let me know when its almost time for certain services, but they also let me know how long I can put it off to get full use of the parts I have. Traditionally, shops try to cheat women, but my father even confirmed everything they told me when I first started using them and now we all love and trust our friends at Dyke. Love them!!!
