Way to expensive for a simple smog. Almost double what other places charge!!

We went here for help with our car thinking we would get good service based on the other reviews. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. They serviced our vehicle without providing an estimate, and it is actually state law that you have the right to an estimate for any repairs over $50.00 unless you provide a written signature waiving that right. It even says so on their forms that they provided after the service was completed. We never waived our right to a written estimate and never received an estimate despite numerous calls requesting one. There was always an excuse every time we called, either the mechanic was out sick or they would place us on a long hold only for the phone to hang up. They also drove our car to another mechanic without our permission to sublease a the service they could not provide. It would have been a courtesy to at least let the customer know that they were driving our car around without our knowledge. They also kept our car for 6 days and we had to call them for status updates if we did not call we would probably never hear from them When we called to discuss our concerns with the manager he was not at all helpful, he would not even acknowledge the fact that they did not provide us with an estimate of the work to be done. They completely took advantage of the situation. If we would have received an estimate for what they would charge us we would have never proceeded to get our car serviced here as their prices are so unreasonable. I would not recommend this place they over charge and are not upfront about what they are doing.

The work was completed and they were able to fit me in fairly quickly for a service on my GMC duramax. They werent particularly forward with costs and the bill ended up being very large. Leads me to believe prices might have been inflamed. I had no issue with it because Im not a mechanic but a little more transparency goes a long way for customer satisfaction. 4.6 stars rounds up to 5

So far so good, just went in for a diesel smog and while there noticed a positive workplace that is very busy. Talked to them about doing a bit of specialty work on a vehicle and about trouble I have with a F150. Extra attention was given to helping me diagnose the problem and hoping I can do more business there (and get my truck working of course)

Went in to diesel smog my A3 TDI. They were quick and friendly. Will definitely go back next year.

Great place for your RV or Cabover camper smog. They do both diesel and gas vehicles. Professional and friendly people to boot, you cant ask for more.

We’ve ended up having to take both our cars to get the lights checked took them about 2 hours to figure out took up 4 months would highly recommend

If you receive a coupon in the mail for a $29.99 smog check for a 2 wheel drive vehicle, please be aware that if your vehicle has TRACTION CONTROL, then this special price does not apply, and you will have to pay $50.50. Even though it says this (in much smaller print) on the coupon, this is extremely misleading, and borderline dishonest. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the test was at least done quickly.

The transmission in our RV died as we were passing through Reno. It was difficult to find anyone to work on an old Chevy Workhorse transmission, but Bernie at Nevada Auto Diagnostics said he could do it. So, we had the RV towed to him, and he put in a new transmission. That took a few days, but he then offered to drive it from Reno to Portland (where we live) for us, which was really helpful. We are very happy, and grateful to Bernie for all his help. Thanks Bernie!

One of the only places in town that will smog a diesel sprinter. However, they dont take advantage of this, and are super nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning here, and highly recommend.

Went there yesterday to smog a diesel truck. Called the day before and was quoted $35. Sent the husband down there and he was in and out quickly. However, he was charged $59. So I called the owner and he remembered me, apologized, and promptly refunded the difference. I neglected to tell my husband what I was quoted so he didnt know that he had to mention it. Thats my bad, not Nevada Auto Diagnostics. Many thanks to the owner!

Best place in town to get your diesel smog

Took my 2004 Chevy diesel LB7 to here for smog check. I have had this truck for years and it has ran perfectly fine and passed smog every time until today. They told me it failed because it didn’t have a EGR on it. My truck was not equipped with a EGR that year. They failed the smoke and charged me $60+. I literally took it down the street to a different smog place and they passed it. I asked the smog 2nd tech why and he showed me the on the forms where the the tech at Nevada Auto Diagnostics made the mistake. After telling me it failed the wanted to to have my truck repaired to pass smog. I told them it doesn’t need to be repaired and that they made a mistake but they didn’t want to listen and made up excuses. This place doesnt know what they are doing when it come to smog checks and need to train their techs better.

These guys know cars! Took a car that was considering buying for anevaluation. He showed a few things that the seller had not informed me of, like an oil leak from a broken gasket that would need to be repaired. For a $70 evaluation of the car, saved me several thousand I would have spent on repairs on a car destined to need expensive repairs soon.

Probably one of my favorite shops to go to now, Chris was the most helpful in multiple ways when getting a diagnostic on our car. Professional, on time, knowledgable, and worth my money.

The wait time is 30-60 minutes for diesel emission test. Idk if it get busy like that.
