Called and got an appointment the day of. Got there a few minutes earlier than my appointment and they took me right in. Paul at the front desk is amazing!! The sweetest guy who knew what he was doing. I can’t remember the mechanics name who worked on my car but he was amazing as well! I went in for an oil change and inspection. I told them about a minor issue that I was having with my brakes and they took a look at them without any charge. One of my tires was low on air and he filled them all up for me without even having to ask! Amazing service, good prices, and great people! I will be back and get will recommend them to anyone who is looking to get work done. Thank you guys so much for all of your help!
I had a tire patched at this Meineke location and it needed to be redone since it was still leaking air. Before the re-patch, I had a road trip check done where they blamed it on the sensor being wonky and they claimed they fixed the issue. Then, when I brought the car in to re-patch the tire, the employees were completely unprofessional and shouting expletives when things were not going how they wanted or expected them to. They did stay after hours to perform the re-patch and at first, I was relieved that they were able to perform the re-patch. However, not even 4 hours later, my tire pressure light was back on and by the 5th hour, my tire was completely flat.I have edited my review to change the rating because when I came in to show the manager that my tire went flat, he ordered me a new tire, matched a quote I had, and subtracted what I paid to have the patch done. Thank you!
Been to this shop twice now and they do an awesome job. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Plus they have a shop cat! Its so adorable and sweet. They get 5 stars for that alone.
I was greeted by Paul who was very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and had a great sense of humor . He took the time to answer all my questions. Paul waisted no time and started working on the car right away. They didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and they were honest about what was going on with the car. I enjoyed my experience so much that Meineke is my new car repair shop thank you!
Made an appointment yesterday for 2pm today. Drove down from the Sparks area. Paul Sloan, disheveled, at the desk said Oops, lemme see if I can do an oil change right now. Checked with his mechanic and came back. Again my appointment was for 2pm. Sorry but if he does it, youre looking at 4-430pm before its done. Is this third grade- we dont know how to schedule and keep our appointments?I DO NOT recommend anyone bother going here. Do you want me to reschedule you for another day? Absolutely not, Paul. Its clear you have no idea what youre doing. I wouldnt fork over another afternoon for you to waste.
Paul Sloan has EXEMPLARY customer service & satisfaction skills!! He went above & beyond helping me when my 04 Expedition ran hot on a road trip. I was basically, a Black woman stranded with my daughter & granddaughter on the highway ...I called the shop in the wee early morning, he answered the phone EVEN BEFORE THE SHOP DOORS OPENED & helped a stranger like we were old friends...grateful forever!
Great experience. Paul was awesome and got my car fixed within 24 hours of bringing it in.
The car goes in this coming Thursday and at that point Ill let you know
Very unprofessional and I highly recommend a different car shop. We called Meineke and spoke to Joe who was very rude and unprofessional. We asked Joe for a rough estimate on replacing a radiator. We expressed to Joe that the vehicle wasnt drivable because the radiator was pouring out fluid. Joe refused to provide a rough estimate and instead wanted us to use his towing service (approximately $10-$15 after 5 miles) for our vehicle to be towed all the way to his site without us knowing if we could even afford his repair services. Joe said never gonna happen when we asked for a rough estimate. Joe was rude, impatient and showed no understanding for his customers. We called TiresPlus and Jiffy Lube and had a much better professional experience with great results! Do not waste your time with Meineke because the other location is also unprofessional because they dont know how to assist their customers without leaving them on hold forever. This company lacks professionalism, so its a good thing there are other options.
Paul and team did a great job on my brakes. They were very friendly and went the extra mile to get me in and out as quickly as possible.
Great customer service and good deal if you catch it when they have a special. Fast and thorough.
Wife went in for a Free A/C inspection. Kietzke location charged her for R134 (which makes sense and is understandable) but also $120 in labor for the inspection. Then informed her that her coolant line was cracked open and it would be $500 to replace the line and charge it. Took advantage of her. We will not return. Thanks for the free inspection...
Very nice. Professional and a lot of laughs!! Thanks guys😊
The free A.C. service was not free. The rear portion of my A.C. is still blowing hot air. The oil change was fine. My scheduled appointment time was 12:30. I was there until 4:30.
This place is amazing and Steve will make sure you are well taken care of. I was in and out in under 2 hours for an oil change, a tire swap, a replacement filter and with a full lobby of people and full bay of cars. I can tell you that this guy really cares about his customer and would rather you return than take ever dime out of your pocket.
Great service and nice people all for a affordable price,I will go back here when we need service next time.
Very awesome team! I work 2 jobs and they were so willing to get me in as soon as I could. Very courteous and even helped me look for coupons to try and save some money. Will be going here for all of my cars maintenance from here on out. Thanks guys!
Fast service. Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff.
Idk if they try to scam new people or people who don’t know about cars just to get a dynastic on my car cost 130 and they said I needed something where the over all price would be 945. When I took it to another place they said all I needed was an oil change and a new cable for my engine costed me 180 these guys are are just looking to scam people and line there pockets
They take good care of you and your car. I trust these guys.
Very pleased. Paul the manager was very kind and helpful.
Love this place! Steve answered my original call asking for prices on oil changes. He was so friendly and informative! He went over and beyond to listen to my questions and answered everything I inquired about. Not to forget the huge fact that he gave me the best price in Town!!!Steve made this experience worth every second and penny spent from beginning to end! All the staff also followed his lead in assertiveness, knowledge and friendliness!Between Steve and the mechanic named Dat I couldnt be more pleased. They know how to treat customers the right way.Definitely recommend this shop for any and all your car care needs! They are amazing and extremely quick and thorough!Thank you Meineke Team on Keitzke Lane! Youre the best!
These guys were truly amazing!! They were able to get me in immediately and serviced in a very timely manner. The manager, Steve, was very knowledgeable and helped thoroughly explain the whole process, helped me understand the health/condition of my vehicle, and what to expect in the future for taking care of my car. He gave me a nice discount without even having to ask. Looking forward to seeing them again the next time I need my vehicle serviced!!
Brung my Tahoe in for service had a coolant line overheating problem mr.steve there was a great help he gave my heater working good as new and no more overheating he have great techs onsite I won’t say they are the cheapest but they will get the jobs done! And great quality we will put it that way you paying for quality hourly service.
Excellent customer service!! Paul is great!
Paul was a wonderful help and explained everything to me before he did it and took amazing care of my car. I will always take my car to him!!!!
Amazing manager, incredible service, very satisfied! Highly recommend it!!
Paul was very professional and kind. I am extremely happy with the outcome!
We brought in our eclipse which was veering a lot on the road but the problem was hard to diagnose and he figured out a possible cause but couldn`t guarentee that was the problem! Though we did not have the work done he was nice enough to not charge for the diagnostic since he could not guarentee he was right. Still i was very happy with the service!
I went to have my window looked at and fixed. He did not look at window. When he heard I had no ac he went on a mission to try and see what was wrong. I did not want my ac fixed. Only the window. He said he could do it for 400 then he came down to 336. The part to fix my window is 41. Dollars. Steve is a shady mechanic. I called to tell him the part was only 41. He said he had to make money. So he finds part then mark up the price. Mark up labor for a simple task. Don’t go here. Spend your money somewhere else.
I came in to make my 2016 Camaro louder than it was as I was not happy with it because it was pretty quiet. Steve, the manager, was a really cool guy to work with, he made sure I understood everything they were going to do with my car and was just professional about everything. I loved how his mechanic and his team left my car sounding, overall it was great working with them and would definitely recommend this place and give it a 10/10. I’ll definitely be going back to get my car worked on again.
I know nothing about car specs or anything relevant to different car parts, so naturally if I need something changed I go to an auto repair shop. One month ago I brought my Nissan Maxima to the service center at Nissan, they said I would need to change my breaks in a month and that they weren’t that bad. One month later, I show up to Meineke and describe my problem and they were very nice while talking to me. I leave and about an hour later I get a call from Meineke. They told me my front pads needed to be replaced and that my back pads and rotors needed to be replaced. This was understandable until the service man told me the price wound be 1,600 dollars. Naturally I know that’s bs and I laugh; the man behind the phone acknowledged this and brought the price down to 950, 1,200 after service and tax. I don’t even call back and pick up my car without the repairs, the man at the front desk whispers to me about what type of brakes I should get if I do decide to go somewhere else as if I would listen to a man with money bags for a mouth. So I call the Nissan service office and they get me in the next day, check out my car, and tell me something completely different. They told me my front pads were completely fine at 6mm and that I should replace my back break pads (at 2mm) and rotors. The total comes down to 400 dollars and an actual explanation about their service and pricing. I understand it’s logical for people to make money, but using car newbs and pricing them 4x more is unacceptable. For anyone reading this, I would recommend Les Schwab or your actual cars dealership. If you have any questions about the pricing, ask the repair man to actually SHOW you what is wrong. Good luck out there.
Nice guys and got an oil change by appointment in under an hour.
Great customer service!
This Meineke is very professionally ran, efficient, friendly, courteous. Seriously amazing communication and willing to go the extra length to make sure you get the help you need! Steve their general manager was amazing to work with! I will definitely be back!
Great customer service awesome mechanics best place in town...
Steve always takes care of my cares with knowledge and efficiency. Solid workmanship, trust, and quick delivery keeps my family and I coming back.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They do fantastic work at a reasonable price and keep you updated throughout the process.
Best service ever great price Undeniable experience the manager Steve was amazing
Steve is always super professional and his staff always does good work. Ive always left with a fair price as well.
Great staff
Very happy with this location Steve took care of my personal vehicle and fleet with good customer service & pricing

These guys were awesome..... Very professional, friendly, I will continue to bring any car that ever needs repairs to this car care center!!!!!
Excellent service Steve was great!
Great service, good price. Danny was helpful.I needed assistance with my muffler system. They were fast and efficient. They took care of my car and me, by offering to get me to work and back. Exceptional.
Steve is a great and friendly guy who gets the job done. If you need any type of car repair this is the place to go to.
Friendly, quality service
Good place to go to for ac problems
Steve the manager of Meineke in Reno was so professional at getting me back on the road when i broke down. Mark his mechanic diagnosed the problem and had me up and running in no time so we could continue our road trip to Iowa.Would recommended and use this company again.
You would think that with the claim of Meineke being brakes that they would actually know how to fix them. I went with a friend that went to pick up her vehicle and was told that it was ready to go. Mind you this was after the brakes they originally fixed failed almost causing her to die on the freeway. Once we got there we were told that the guy behind the desk wanted to check to see who called to state the vehicle was ready. Thank God for Fernando and his honesty. He took the car for a test drive and stated that the original replacement calipers was listed as a factory defect so they were replaced. Upon test driving it Fernando was not comfortable sending us out in the vehicle but instead wanted to make sure that the car was in fact safe to drive. Needless to say it was not safe to drive and they have now had the car for over a month refusing to fix it. No one has been contacting her regarding her vehicle and they are refusing to pay for the parts that need to be fixed that almost killed her. Sadly you cant get anywhere with their Corporate office as they are quick to say each store is independently owned and operated. My question is if they are using your name and product branding how are you willing to stand by and let them behave in this manner. Thank God for Fernando being upfront and honest and not letting us take the car out of the shop or God knows what would have happened. If it wasnt for him the reviews would have been much worse. In conclusion if you want a half way shoddy job this is the place to do. If you want things done correctly and safely I would absolutely recommend that you stay as far away as you possible can from this joke of a company!
What a refreshing business. Muffler detached from upstream exhaust pipe. Was at the Reno location when opened on Saturday. Mike and his crew took great care of my, Mercedes and then wasnt going to charge me. Having none of that I gave him cash for what I believe their efforts were worth. Instead of pocketing the payment, he announced lunch for the crew was covered. Now thats a leader.
This was an interesting place. It started with me making a appointment. Then I arrived at my appointment only to find out that there were three other cars in front of me. So I asked the clerk what was the point of the appointment. He then said thats just what happens here we get busy.So I leave my car so they can fix the muffler. I get a call an hour later saying they need to keep my car for the weekend. I say thats okay I dont work this weekend so no problem. So when I returned to pick up my vehicle they tell me that they need to keep my vehicle for one more day because they could not read all the error codes on the vehicle. And then turn to the clerk and say those are not my car keys these are. He then tells me they need to keep my car for one more day I told him I cant do that because I have to go to work. He then tells me they were not able to do anything so I leave. As I was sitting out in the car he came up to me and said that he had given me the wrong information. And when I came back in the office smell like pot. And then paid for my bill and left. Wasnt the greatest service.
The Service was Awesome!..My only complaint was that I applied for a Meineke Credit Card so i could take advantage of the 6 mo. interest free savings. The site was down and nothing went through we Me and the Meineke Location tried to put the Application through and couldnt! So consequently I had to put it on my reg Credit card that will now charge me interest. I even tried to call Care Credit since I do have a medical card with them and have been using it for years. The Care Credit Representative said she could not take an application over the phone! So Screwed again! But the Meineke Service location in Reno, Nevada on Kietzke Ln was very fair, likeable and knew what they were doing.
First of all I want to apologize for my card was declined when I made a payment that day it was security issue I got fixed. It was good, technician or mechanic showed me what is the problem so I know what’s going on with my car. The problem is I signed a invoice for $334.99 and plus one hour labor you told me that you will give me 55 dollars off. Instead off you add it. When I heard you say add an hour labor I time it, it was half hour work. I want to thank you but got move on to find better, quality and satisfaction.
The oil change on their sign for $24.95 is a total bate and switch they want $10 more for so called shop supplies. They lie about this they will lie about anything.
Amazing service. Respectful too. I needed a fix on my exhaust and Meineke fixed it fast and for a fantastic price.
Friendly courteous service!
Really great and fast and they stayed open a little later when i was rushing to get back from work which I appreciate.
I made a reservation for an oil change online at this location about a week in advance. I even got an appointment reminder email the day before my 5:30 PM appointment. When I arrived I was informed that my appointment was invalid, and despite the confirmation they could not help me that day. I understand that there can be a disconnect between websites and real locations so I accepted the explanation and took a 1PM appointment for the next day. The next morning I got a phone call telling me that I could not be helped at 1PM either and my appointment had been canceled for me..Who knows maybe they do great work, but I will never find out. Drove down the street to Jiffy Lube and was helped immediately. In and out in under 40 minutes.
I went to fix my drivers window with appointment after 5 hours later left with my window paid but not fixed my cars door all dirty and greasy, brought my car back 2 days to have it fixed correctly 5 more hours finally they fixed the part but broke every piece that hold the panel for the door I had to take it to the dealer to be fixed and the manager Steve doesnt want to refund the extra money that I had to pay for a horrible work they did.VERY DISSAPOINTED
Came in with a friend today to get some custom exhaust work done. Im not sure where some of these people get these super negative experiences, because the two gentlemen that were there (I didnt get their names) were super helpful, even despite not having the car physically there to work on. Fairly priced work and a quick turn around is always a good policy. Cheers!
I had a lot of work that needed to be done and Gary was very helpful explaining to me in detail. This is a hard business sometimes we need to be a little bit more patient and kinder never know what someone is going through... Thanks Guys!
Went in for a muffler delete on my 2018 camaro. Paid $430 for 3 hours of work that had been originally quoted for 300, then watched the technicians beautiful display of a test drive as he whipped my car around to make the u turn into the lot like he owned the thing. Front desk man was a nice guy, and so was the manager. Unfortunately seeing my car getting mistreated (especially after paying so much for the service) on top of the technicians attempt to justify his actions would make me not recommend this place to anyone with nice vehicles.
Lies, cheats, thiefs, brought my car in with no brakes got it back with no brakes and told to take elsewhere but still charged almost a grand for it. Then when I go back for the parts they replaced they wanted to charge me more money, core fees for them but there isnt core fees for those parts I checked they just wanted to cheat and steal more money. Worst service never going back and would never recommend them.
Our car broke down driving through Reno on a Saturday, and to their credit, this shop was the only one who agreed to look at our car on such short notice. They looked at our car, told us it was possibly a torque converter and they would need a few days to diagnose and fix it. We made it clear to them that we would be driving back through Reno the following Saturday and we would like to pick up the car at that time, as we live 3 hours from Reno. They assured us the car would be done by then. Come Wednesday of that week, we hadnt heard from the shop at all, so we called and were told they tried another fix, but that it was definitely the torque converter. They gave us a quote, we said go ahead and do the work. Again, we asked if it would be ready by Saturday and they said yes. We called again Friday on our way to Reno, and they said they got the part in and were working on it and it would be done Saturday. On Saturday, we arrived at the shop, were told it wasnt ready yet, and they would call us when it was done. We left for a few hours, but it was getting close to closing time and we hadnt heard back. We went back to the shop. At closing time, two employees came to talk to us and told us the car wouldnt be ready until Monday, as they had forgotten that the work they had done required the dealer to finalize it and the dealership was closed for the day. So now we have to make another 6 hour round trip to pick up the car. We show up to pick up the car and the shop said they drove the car and it ran no problem. We pay for the work, ready for this to be over. Get in the car, start up the AC and the car stalls. Immediately go back in, let them know, and they say Oh, we drove it without the AC and it was fine, just drive it back home without using the AC. This is in the middle of summer, July. We finally just had it towed home and took the car to a shop we trust. They finally got it running for us, no problem. Will never take another car here, even in an emergency.
We might yell at our toaster and give our cars names. The car is just put together with welds, and bolts, the car its self does not have a soul or morals. The people who have work on it give it a soul and a meaning. They care about their work. They try there best to do what is best for the safety who drive on these dangerous streets. Yes, owning a car is expensive, but I think most people take driving for granted. They help me keep the car running and safe for the road.
Danny is awesome! Brought my car in last minute fir breaks, he took care of everything within 2 1/2 hours. Owner unfriendly, doesnt smile or acknowledge guest. Should leave Danny to run shop on his own.
Nice employees, thats about it. Did a really have ass job on my car. Had to take car elsewhere after almost 2 grand worth of work with nothing to show for it. There are much better places in town to take your car than here.
I made an appointment on-line for today (Saturday) at the Kietzke location. Confirmed 8am opening, as a courtesy I arrived early. I waited until 8:11am and doors were still locked. If you run your business this way, I dont want you working on my vehicle. Im GONE!
Drove all the way from Fernley, NV and well worth the drive, amazing deals, very friendly and professional. This is definitely the place to come when your short on time, because they have speedy service. Like I mentioned before, this place has great service.
This shop was an absolute nightmare to deal with. In my experience, their staff and owner acted completely unprofessional, quoted me price estimates and projected completion times, only for them to take two and half weeks beyond the time they initially told me things would be finished. On top of everything, when they finally returned my car, it had denting and scratches. The owner attempted to pass the buck, only to then try to say that I could leave it longer and they would take care of it. After the entire ordeal, there was no way I was trusting my car to their shop anymore - I then had to go through insurance to have the body work handled.A completely awful experience from start to finish, my opinion was that the owner is completely unprofessional. Would never trust my car with them for any work in the future under any circumstances.
The manager met me at the front door, listened to my problem and we got into my car for him to experience the problem. I had a light signaling the emergency brake that would not go out. He drove around the lot that his store was located on and the light went out. I had cycled the brake countless times with no result of the light going out. He tried it twice and it went out. We talked for a short time and I left; problem solved. I’ll be back.
RUDE RUDE RUDE! The guy at the counter has the worst customer service! And to roll your eyes at a customer when they are talking to you?! Now I see why you dont have customers waiting to utilize your services.Im surprised youre still in business! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone! Piece of advice, if you dont like the work your doing or the company your running, shut the place down! No need to be an ass to a customer or anyone that walks in the door!Go to all about cars total car care! They have great customer service and treat you great!!!
I was in town from Ca. When my water pump went out. I called on a Saturday about noon and they where able to get me in. They worked overtime so that I could get back home. Thanks for the great service.Don Weems
The front office staff member (male) seems like a crook. I suspect and know my SUV was mishandled. A punched oil pan that was never reported in that condition to me cost me nearly $900.00.
Absolutely ridiculous came for an oil change. They recommended some work on the shocks and i agreed. 4 hours later they call to say they ordered the wrong parts because he didnt know which one it needed. (Professional establishment). He said the correct parts were gonna be double the price he originally had given me. Its been almost 6 hours now and still no news. Awful
The sign out front says basic oil change $14.99 and when we took it it the paper said $26.10 - We asked what about the $14.99? and they said it would be adjusted when we picked up the vehicle. That afternoon when we picked it up (different counter person) they charged $26.10. We asked them about the ajustment and they said well, we took the $10 off and thats what it is after this and that fee . I dont mind marketing with the sign, but when asked directly, the bottom line should be stated directly. The deceptiveness makes me question the integrity of anything they might do.
Gary is a disgrace of a manager. He gives mechanics a bad name. He actually told me, Im here to make ME money, not save YOU money. Then he refused to give me the results/bid for the diagnostics I paid him for because he didnt want me to have another shop under cut his bid. Its called competition and keeping people honest.I will never give Meineke my money and I hope you dont either.
There should be an option for negative stars. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! I took my 2005 Subaru in for a basic oil change and they put gear oil in my transmission. I ended up having to purchase a new transmission for my Subaru. I should have sued them.
Do not go to this place to have oil change. This place doesnt need your business. They dont keep their word, they got real bad attitude; They are bunch of liars.I printed an online oil change coupon. To make sure no surprise, I called them in advance to check if they accepted this coupon and the total price of the oil change. They told me that its going to be around $27. that includes disposal fee, shop supply fee and tax, and first come, first serve; no appointment needed.I went in the next day. All three bays were empty and there was not even one car or customer. I parked directly in front of the empty bay. One technician came out and told me back out to park at the parking lot. I pulled my vehicle out in front the empty bay, parked at empty parking lot and wondered why? Once I entered the office, they told me that they dont accept the coupon anymore because they couldnt make money. Their oil change price are $29.99, $39.99 and $59.99. now even though the banner hung outside still says oil change starts with $19.99.I was really pissed. Those monkeys lured me in, fooled me, wasted my time. They offered no apology for their intentional misleading. No wonder they got no business at all.
Steve and the mechanics were great
The owner Mike was so drunk he couldnt even look up my information let alone type! Then he wanted my keys to put my car on the lift. I told him I had an appointment and was running late and just stopped by for a quick quote. Then he wouldnt let me leave. Dont take a vehicle here ever!!! Im so not impressed.
Went in for an oil change. Next day the check oil light is coming on. They have no clue how to repair vehicles or how to do a simple oil change. Now have to figure out what is wrong with my vehicle and they keep stating they have no time to check it now. Stay away from this shop. They will cause more damage than repairs here.
I went to Meineke on kietzke to get my radiator replaced.. I think they did an amazing job quick and where very friendly. I got straight answers with no sugar coating.. I wouldnt have it any other way.. will be going back to have my breaks blended out and power steering fluid changed. Thanks
A muffler shop that wont do an exhaust system back pressure test? what good is an exhaust shop that wont do a back pressure test? cookie cutter only services did not want my business.
I trust this place to get me quote on what needs to be replaced and a good priority list fire the order in which to get the repairs done
I walked in and got 4 tires changed out for $50. The mechanic further diagnosed a problem with my front right caliper which was dead on.$50 for changing out 4 tires is the most superior price in town, and I would challenge you to find anywhere else under $75.This place gets a bad rap that in my recent experience is undeserved.
Brought my vehicle in for a rotors and brakes. My brake pads were suppose to be under a lifetime warranty but they said that my brake pads from the other meineke wasn’t a pad they use so it wouldn’t be covered under warranty. I said we would like to take our car elsewhere because of the not honoring the warranty and Danny the front desk guy got snippy saying we would have to pay an hours worth of work on my car because his mechanics need to get paid for basically just taking my tires off.
I went there today to tight my exhaust and engine oil. They also checked my tire pressure and filled bug wash. They also say I should check and adjust my tire pressure every month, and I can go there for free! They provided a good servie, and price was fair. I will go there to replace my tire when spring comes.
We called the # online for kietzke branch...your store locator answered and said that your branch is mot part of the Meineke group...
Ive met conmen who were more honest.I asked for an estimate for new pads on my truck, which they refused to give over the phone. They conned me into coming in for an appointment under the pretenses that brake service was 50% off.I showed up for a 9am appointment, and they said it was actually up to $25 off per axel. I asked for an estimate again, which they wouldnt provide. They did let me know that I would be able to pick the truck up at noon.I walked out. I wish I looked at the reviews before, thankfully I dodged a bullet.
Scheduled maintenance was back in November of 2012. Problem discovered continuously over the last year until now, when I changed my spark plugs again in June 2014. I usually do general maintenance to my car but due to a broken lift and time constraints in November of 2012, I took it to Meineke to get my spark plugs changed in my 2006 Mazda Rx8. I purchased my spark plugs from an authorized Mazda parts dealer and used standard recommended plugs. Gave them to Meineke to use and they put them in. Almost immediately after service in 2012, I developed an oil leak. Over the course of the last year, Ive taken the car in for multiple issues ranging from severely bad fuel economy, low power, very rough idle, and most importantly, a burning oil smell. They checked and saw an oil leak and told me it was coming from the spark plugs but couldnt tell why. Kind of a shame on Mazda moment, but either way, it was documented. Talked to Meineke today and I didnt threaten a thing, just told the manager there was a problem with my service and he got VERY defensive. The real problem with this is, not only am I way out of time frame for when I could have had this issue addressed, but because I drive a rotary engine, the oil leak caused pretty severe damage to the engine. I now need to rebuild my engine, which is about $3800. Meineke wont take even a hint of responsibility for their actions even though I have documented paperwork confirming a problem directly related to the spark plugs immediately following the scheduled maintenance. AVOID THIS PLACE! They do not need your business. They dont know what they are doing and wont take responsibility for their actions.
Worst place EVER! I almost died because they Fixed my brakes. Biggest rip off ever!!!!!
Horrible service. Was told Id be given a great deal and then overcharged. Was led to believe they could fix my vacuum leak they dont even have proper equipment for vacuum issues. Turns out the problem was a mass air flow sensor and they couldnt even diagnose it correctly.
Took great care of my car and explained everything about repairs needed!
This place is horrible, it is privately owned by a guy named Mike so its not even Meineke direct where they care about customer service. I called today 8/13/2014 at 12:30 to see about making an appointment for a simple oil change and tire balance as offered on their coupon for 49.95. The hours said 7-6pm and I did not get off until 5pm. Mike the owner, who answered the phone tells me I dont need an appointment and to just come down because they are open until 6. Well I got there at 5:12pm exactly and there was no one there and the door was locked. the guy who runs the shop next door, looked at my coupon and laughed and said they dont even accept these anymore (it states on the coupon printed from the site expires 9/30/2014). This experience was all around bad business I called intentionally because I got off at 5 and it was out of the way to drive there and needed to make sure I could. I really would not refer these people to anyone, if their work is anything like there false advertised hours or prices I would not even want them working on my car. It really is too bad because this town is small and local business owners survive by word of mouth and I have nothing good to say about this particular Meineke or Mike. Not only that 4 other family members who are driving out of town this weekend were all going to use the same place I did becasue the coupon looked like a good deal. I have to say I went right across the street and Big O Tires and they had better prices, were open at 5:30 like they say, and they were very friendly and did an amazing job on my service. DONT GO TO THE MEINEKE OWNED BY MIKE GO TO BIG O ACROSS THE STREET!
Ive been with Mike and his Meineke shop since 2006, when I was an active duty Marine and stationed in Reno. The car issue I had this time around began over a year ago and instead of taking Mikes advise and having the pros fix my car, I took it upon myself to fix my car. Well after making the problem worse and more costly, I called Mike and he told me to bring my car in and he would do what he can to help me. My car is a Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharger and my Cylinder Head blew. The engine block cracked and Mike, Gary and the rest of the team went to work on my car finding me a well priced engine and putting back together the mess I created. My car is running and I am happy more than I can say. I know for a fact that Mike and his team put in a lot of extra time off the books to make sure my Cobalt was up and running. I recommend them to everyone I know and they never fail me. Tell them J sent you and the best service in town will be given, oh and that happens even if you dont tell them I sent you.. Thank Mike and Gary you guys are master mechanics.
WARNING--- MEINEKE KIETZKE CAR CARE CENTER ARE LIARS & RIP-OFFS, THEY TAMPER WITH BRAKE SAFETY!! Took pickup in for $19.95 oil change with free tire rotation & brake inspection. I watched mechanic adjust my rear brake shoes inward because he said they were 2 tight. When I drove out the brake pedal went almost 2 the floor barely stopping so took it back & Mike the owner tells me the brake fluid needs 2 be flushed & bled for $74 which i had them do. After paying i test & again pedal goes 2 floor barely stopping so take back & Mike says i need master cylinder. I tell him hes full of feces & jerking me off, and immediately go to Two Macs Alignment & Brake on Golden Ave. Michael, the owner of Two Mac, inspected my rear brakes and found they had been incorrectly adjusted inward making them unsafe. He properly adjusted both rear brakes back to safe standards which fixed the brake pedal and now works correctly!
