Rich is fantastic! It is so good to have a repair shop that is honest and fair. Rich has above and beyond for us and has helped us even when we are traveling and away from home to diagnose the situation so we can best get back on the road again. Over the years he has become more than a mechanic, but one I consider a friend.

Ive bought 2 vehicles from Richard and he gave me a great deal on both when the one I bout had a few issues that I was aware of when I purchased he still provided me the parts and fixed it free of charge Richard is a great guy and Ive seen him personally buy a part the was more then $200 and install it in a clients car for absolutely free just to make the client happy I myself am a mechanic and I will say Richard goes far beyond his job title to please alot of customers and Ive seen some customers come in his shop with the nastiest and most disrespectful attitudes and Richard still stays poliet and does all he can to make them happy ...I personally give the guy 10 stars if that were possible cause he has always done what he can to help me and my family and I just want to say thanks Richard

My parents have brought many vehicles to Rich for many years. Over the course of 2 years he has misdiagnosed one of their vehicles a Chevy Impala and spent over $1000 dollars and 3 full tanks of fuel on “fixes” that would ultimately not end up working. He’s replaced sensors, repaired wiring, replaced the ecu, and even taken it to the Chevrolet dealer himself to be “programmed”. The vehicle still has the CEL on and will not pass smog. The car has been back to him 3 or 4 times and spent over 2 weeks at the shop on at least 2 of those times. Then even after all that they still brought their other vehicle to him. (a Jeep) To have the radiator replaced. After completion of the replacement the A/C no longer functioned. I took a look at the vehicle my self to see if it was something small like a sensor unplugged or something like that. I was shocked to find the A/C condenser not even attached to its mounts and hanging from only the lines!!! And then after further inspection I found there were not one but 2 HOLES!!! And wait for it....they had put putty over the holes to hide their mistake!!! This is not an honest shop. They have no attention to detail or care for their customers. Please save yourself the heart ache and the money and find somewhere else to service your vehicle.

Richard is a great honest mechanic who knows his stuff. I have been taking my cars to him for over 10 years. When I first went to Mastertech I thought I was in for a major repair and told them so. Richard fixed the problem and wasnt what I thought it was and saved me hundreds of dollars. I recommend him to my friends and family. His prices are always very fair and competitive in fact compared to other mechanical shops I personally think he should charge more since you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and he provides and does GREAT work always!!! Richard essentially stole $700 and 2-3 months of my time. I had to go in 5+ times with my entire family to get him to refund me most of the money for a lemon car he sold me knowingly. I highly recommend never doing business with him or Mastertech in any respect. If you look up Richard Acosta you will see he’s been sued multiple times, probably due to his shady business practices. He illegally buys and sells many cars (over the legal amount) without a license from the state. I reported him to the dmv and they said they have already received complaints against his business.I must also say that any positive review you see here is probably him/his family/his workers posting under fake accounts. I’ve never had a more unprofessional and frankly disastrous business experience in my life.

I have taken my cars to Richard at Mastertech Automotive four times so far. Every time I have gone, the work was done quickly and the cost of his services have always been slightly to pretty significantly below his estimations. I really trust him after my last visit, where he repaired my car which was misfiring. I took my car into him before for the same problem about a year earlier; he changed my spark-plugs and the car ran fine for about a year. I took it into him again to find out what the issue was. It turns out there was something wrong with the spark-plug that he gave me on my last visit. Even though the faulty spark-plug wasnt his fault, he replaced it for free, which is actually a big deal on my car because changing the spark-plugs is about a four hour job on my car --you have to remove the engine manifold. In any case, good, cheap, and trusty service is what you should expect from this shop.

Broght in chevy blazer with no start when hot thought might be module after there testting said no it fuel pump got call later said no it the IGN SWITCH 2 days later said we tore streering col down not switch it the fuel pump after week had it towed to nother shop found out was fuel pressure regulator all fixed worked good now DO NOT RECOMMOND THEM AT ALL

I have been taking my cars to Richard the owner for 13 years. He is a straight up honest guy who is a great mechanic. I had one of my vehicles break down in the middle of nowhere and Richard rented a trailer and send two of his mechanics out to tow my vehicle. He went above and beyond and didnt even charge me that much. He has even told my boyfriend how to fix certain things, so he doesnt have to charge me. When Ive bought used cars I always take them to him to look at first before I buy. He has never steered me wrong. He knows his stuff. He is super busy so sometimes you have to call him and ask what is going on with your vehicle. Just bug him a little bit and dont worry he will get back to you and do a great job. I highly recomend Richards shop.
