A vehicle was dropped off knowing that some tires needed replacement and the vehicle was long overdue a tire rotation. I relayed this to the front desk. I also asked that a maintenance check be done so we could fix any overlooked problems. Thus, I was suprised when 2 messages were left stating the vehicle was ready for pickup without any of them stating they needed approval to put on new tires and the truck needed a new filter.However the next morning at pick up I was told the truck needed a filter change and that the rotation was not done because the tires were too bald to legally do so.I asked why this was the first time I heard about these deficiencies. I then got to listen to the Representative explain to me why it was my fault that no messages were left requesting that I call back to approve further work on the vehicle. Additionally, it would be 2 days before they got the filter to replace the faulty one. I decided to take the truck elsewhere for further work.The other business I took the truck to that same day was able to complete all needed maintenance and repairs, sell us 2 new needed tires, discovered the brakes needed relining, and reline the brakes that same day. This was all accomplished with messages and phone calls with updates on findings and progress whether or not we spoke directly to customer service.On a positive note, the price for the oil change at Point S was average for Redding.

Don & Dan both work the front counter and are knowledgeable and helpful. Prices a very competitive and the have a full service mechanic shop that Ive used for oil change to timing belts, water pumps, serpentine belts, fuel filters and more. Tire shop service is great and they set me up with some excellent wearing Falken tires for my diesel that have worn excellent and been on the truck for about 35k miles already with plenty of tread still left.

Point S is really rare in todays business world. They have fixed two flat tires for me for $15 each time. There was a time when I needed my lawnmower tire flat fixed, and took it to Northstate Tire & Wheel that quoted me $36 to fix it. Point S fixed it for $15. When I need tires on my car, I will definitely be going back to them.

They are awesome! I took my jeep there for an alignment. I paid another shop almost double and they couldnt get it right with my lift kit. I just bought a brand new work vehicle and dropped it off with Point S to have them install a partition wall. The service, was second to none! Ron ordered what I needed and it was at the store the very next day. I dropped my vehicle off at quarter to 5 that day and before 10am the next day I got a call saying my partition wall was installed. Fair price, quality service, and excellent staff at Point S Redding! I will definitely be back!

Good clean place. Lots of parking. Service was done right and for the estimated price. They installed a 5th wheel hitch for me and did some trouble shooting of an electrical problem. Ill keep using them.

Was in town for a double-funeral. Had a nail in my tire causing a slow leak, and one of my brake lights went out. They pulled the nail and patched the tire free of charge, saying: having a nail in your tire is enough bad luck. I asked about a replacement bulb cost - I was going to replace it myself, but when I went to pick it up, they had already done it - and only charged me for the price of the bulb. I appreciate the customer service and the attitude. I own property in Redding so I will give them first crack at any car service I need when I am in the area. A big thank you!

Ive had problems with my alignment going out in my car constantly. While the first time they adjusted it the alignment wound up not sticking, the new tires got damaged because of it. Sounds horrible, but they replaced the tires for free and did the alignment again. All for no charge! It turns out my car (an old Mercedes) needed a special tool. I love this tire place.

My experience with Point S has been nothing but amazing. Ive had oil changes done here, as well as flats fixed and with both services I have no complaints. In fact the flat they fixed for free. Where can you find that done for free now a days, no where in Redding that i can find. And believe me I called around and asked. I like their oil change service because you can choose your oil grade. If you want 10/30 oil in your car(and your engine is ok with it) they will put it in. Other oil change places Ive gone to wont do that because they only have 2-3 drums of oil open and if its not the grade you want they will charge you per quart to use that grade on top of the regular fee they charge for the oil change. So to sum it up Point S offers excellent customer service when other places dont.

I always get my oil changed at Point S. So I came in and they were going to rotate my tires. Noticed the fronts were bare and I bought my tires new from here a year ago. They looked back into my record realized every time I came to get my oil. Changed they didnt recommend a rotation so they apologized and asked if I wanted 2 new tire. They took off 138.89 off the tires making it 50 dollars a piece for brand new tires. They said it was their mistake and I didnt even have to ask them to fix it. They did it all without me saying a word. Thank you very much Daniel and Ron. Now I need to pay more attention to my own rotations.

We had a tire on our 5th wheel toy hauler explode on hwy 299 near Whiskeytown lake. My husband put on our spare but it was very low on air. We limped into Redding and found Point S Tire & Auto. We were unable to fit our huge trailer in the parking lot so we parked on the street behind them. They drove to us in their service truck and filled up all our tires. They were so very helpful and friendly! Thank you!

I had a problem with my front brakes squealing when on occasion so I took my car to Redding Tire Factory because it is close by my work. In the inspection they said that I needed new brakes, It had been some time since my last break job so I was expecting that. Not only did they do a good job they also were friendly and very knowledgeable. They also found a bad front wheel bearing and replaced it. Our Subarus battery died on a Saturday morning when we had 490 miles to go on our trip that day. We bought a replacement battery at a parts store, but they werent able to install it for us. After almost twenty minutes of desperately trying to find a service or mechanics shop open on a weekend morning, we called the Redding Tire Factory. They told us they could put in the new battery as soon as we could get a jump and drive over, and that they only charge $10 for the installation.Sure enough, someone was available as soon as we pulled in, and had our new battery in place in a matter of minutes. We were able to continue on our way within 20 minutes.This was absolutely the best experience we could have had with a problem that could have seriously interfered with our trip home.Thanks, guys!

Large veriety of tires and after market auto needs, clean and friendly. As a walk in, first time customer I liked the service and look of store/customer waiting area. I was out of state driving through Redding, returning to Oregon.As I got to Redding, on the I-5 Freeway safety board read Must have chains I called my hometown Point S, (O & M Point S). I told them my position. TJ happily said hed find me the nearest Point S and snow chains/cables. He soon called back with the coordinates of Redding Point S, telling me they had no cables, but had the new snow sock set aside for me.I drove in, Met Dan, he had my order ready. I signed the billing and used the restroom. Then quickly returned to the freeway, as It was mid day, bad weather and I had to get over the Shasta and Siscuyus passes.I returned home, to my favorite Tire Sales and service and learn that the Redding Point S b had been a headache. The Redding tire center does not have a smooth billing system for In company billing... .They made my hometown Point S, pay by credit card, before I got home to receive bill. Im sorry I had my Point S, pre bill...... I should have just paid the Redding Point S when I picked them up. But Im not happy that the Redding Point S does not have a billing account with Point S Chain.I believe that is the whole Business advantage of big chain business. I prefer and love Point S (the old Tire Factory chain) Tire service to Les Schwab. I have used both for 40 years.

I highly recommend not going here! Very incompetent work, service. Spent 4 grand having my front end rebuilt, leveling kit put on, and a new set of wheels, new steering gear. Told them no rush take your time. I want to make sure everything is done right. Days later they call, and tell me its done. I have my wife pay for it, since Im not off work in time, we go pick it up after hours. Right away just backing out of parking spot, i notice slop in my steering, i figure ok, only thing we didnt replace was the intermediate shaft, so i get one go to put it on, and my pitman arm nut is hanging on by a thread, the pitman arm itself is barely on. Then i notice for whatever reason my sway bar link nuts are welded to the front axle, and the 375 dollar Trac bar they charged me for was not put on. really you charge for parts and dont use them? Ok awesome, Im pissed, decide to wait a day, before going back, talking to someone about the hack job work. When i tell the service manager my problem, all he says is, well we can check everything out to make sure everything else is tight. Really? Oh hell no, not ever touching my truck again. Couple months later, i decided to rotate my tres, and the lug nuts, were barely tight. They might be good at some things but leave the suspension work to the pros. I highly recommend going somewhere else.
