I absolutely recommend this Midas. The first time I took my car there was in 2015 I just got a 3000 dollar quote from the local dealership for a suspension repair. I had Doug give me a quote as he was replacing my breaks. The crew figured out that my car was just missing a bolt in the suspension and fixed that for free. Over the years they have fixed my starter twice and multiple other repairs. Today they replaced my starter(fast as it my only car and I am a single parent) replaced my belt. They then buffed my headlights for free. This crew is the real deal. They are very professional and know their stuff. In these times were you have to make every dollar count you get more than you expected at this Midas

I had a problem with my car I needed diagnosed. He figured it out right away and it ended up being a small problem they fixed very quickly and the car was working perfect again right after. He informed me of how to prevent it in the future and was honest about the pricing and service.

BEWARE OF GOING HERE! I am surprised to see all the good reviews and am curious how many of these people do not realize they were scammed.We came here to get my husbands oil change and his brakes done.. First off, they were unable to do the oil change because something was supposedly stripped.. and then the owner tried to talk us in to getting $1400 worth of work done on the brakes. We ended up taking it somewhere else and the other people had no problem getting the oil changed and only $600 on the brakes.. Some of the stuff he was trying to tell us needed to be done DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE. Very shady stuff going on at this place. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Weve been taking our cars to the Redding Midas for years and theyve always done excellent work for a very reasonable price, and NOT just for brakes, shocks, and mufflers but for all types of repairs/service. Their staff is very friendly and clearly explains the problem along with the options. I recommend Redding Midas to friends and family and they too have been very satisfied.

Greatest service Ive ever had anywhere! The main mechanic is very well knowledged and explains everything in detail! He fixed one of my problems without the need to purchase a costly part.

Exorbitant prices for parts that youd find for 2/5th the price elsewhere. This locally owned Midas is awesome. They have fixed my car on several occasions. They always explain upfront what is wrong and how much it is going to cost. They are always reasonable in price and their mechanics are always very informative.

I came in because I had a exhaust leak. They looked at my truck and let me know that a exhaust clamp had come undone. They fixed it no charge. They treated my family and I extremely honestly so I decided to go back for a new set of tires. Doug and the team were so sweet. What keeps a customer coming back is customer service. They have it! They changed my oil and cabin air filter. I left and noticed a sound coming from the A/C. I called Doug right away and I went in as soon as I could. They pulled a dried leaf out and viola, it was fixed. The number one thing I loved, is their customer service. Keep it up Doug and the gang.

They were up front with giving me quotes I asked for. They looked up all work that has been performed on my car I purchased used. They could have said I needed a transmission flush now but they said I have time & gave me the price it will cost me when I come to have it done. Didnt try & sell me things I didnt need, I truly admire that.

They lied and tried to manipulate me and charge way higher than they say on the phone and prices are extremely high. My vehicle muffler was smoking and the oil had a really bad toxic smell after they changed the oil. That never happened anywhere else.

I went in and right away was greeted by Doug he checked out truck gave me some constructive advice that really was helpful I plan on going back for my brakes the muffler he installed was just the sound I was looking for.

Free tire rotation, free check up of the entire car, cheaper then any other place, excellent and honest service... the real question is, why would you not go here? 😄

Car decided to leak coolant while visiting the area. Time was short, needed to drive out the next day, and every shop is practically booked till next week. Doug was extremely helpful every step of the way and managed to fit me into an already tight schedule and got me up and running within the same day.Extremely grateful for his care and professionalism. Remember back when you could count on one of the good guys as your local mechanic? You could call him for just about anything. Maybe you heard something you can’t figure out and you’d call and fit you in somehow. The next day you’d bring your car down and he’d take a look say it was a simple fix and you’d be out of there in a minute, and yes, occasionally no charge. Or he’d tell you the brutal truth but let you know what ALL your options are. This is a good mechanic. These guys take care of you. They uncovered a problem with my truck that I was aware of, but couldnt track down why it was occurring. Not only was the fix less expensive than what Id already done to the passenger side of my undercarriage, but it actually FIXED the problem. I was told the issue was unusual for my Dodge, that it was the first time hed ever seen it happen in a Ram...so no wonder it was overlooked by others! I had been told a HUGE laundry list of parts it would require. So glad I got a real and HONEST evaluation by real and honest mechanics.By the way, this came after having been ripped off by another mechanic...so an extra thank you for the ethics, customer care and kindness.

Called and they got me right in, very professional and knowledgeable about my Lexus hybrid SUV.AND... my oil change here was significantly cheaper than what I was paying at Quality Lube. They found a small issue and corrected that at no charge. Really, my only regret is I didn’t discover Midas on Cypress Ave years ago!!

Scare tactics used. Showed me pictures of brake pads that are not what my pads look like, they were different shape than my actual pads. Must have thought that since I was from Washington I would bite, I was constantly worried till I got back home and had my brake work done. Upon removal, my pads appeared to have 10 to 20,000 miles on them with no metal showing as on the fake photos I was shown. It is definitely buyer beware at this Midas shop. They wouldnt honor the free tire rotation like I always get in Lacey WA with an oil change, I had to pay extra. I was also told my military discount only applies to larger more expensive services.A very disappointed 22 year retired Army first sergeant!

Doug and his crew here are amazing. Straight shooter who wont suggest a whole bunch of goofy things you dont actually need. They listen to you, are friendly, and do the best they can to get you and your vehicle going the best you can.I look forward to doing business with these folks for a long time.

They tell you they will charge one price on the phone but when you get there or the work is done, they tell you something else. That happened to both my friend and me. I was told over forty dollars for an oil change when I got there it was $70. I thought maybe I heard wrong on the phone so I went with it but when it also happened to my friend, I realize its their pattern. $70 was the most expensive oil change for my Honda and it was a lot more than the Honda dealership down the street. Also, they refused to rotate my tire and made me feel that it was so unsafe for me to drive my car. I felt pressured to buy a new set of tires without having the opportunity to shop else where and compare prices. Similarly, my friend was quoted on the phone for a pre-buyer inspection but when she got the bill after everything was done, it was more around $110. I felt we were not treated with honestly and integrity.

Great Shop! Guys know there stuff and wont strong arm you into anything you dont need. Office Lady is always nice and friendly.

I requested an online quote for a few problems I was having with my Nissan Sentra SE-R, the next day, I received a call from the owner (Greg) and he voiced his concern over my oil pressure gauge suddenly being inop. I explained that I had just been laid off from my job in San Francisco and had just relocated to Redding and that I was struggling financially. Greg offered me a pretty large discount on the diagnostic test because he was genuinely worried about the oil pressure. I took my car in and he not only diagnosed it but he literally showed me everything that was wrong with it. Ive NEVER had such outstanding customer service. Greg printed out a quote for future reference and I was back on the road, knowing that the problems werent so bad that it could cause potential harm to myself or others. I just accepted a new job here in Redding and as soon as I get the money needed, Im most definitely going back to Greg...he has gained a lifetime customer because he was willing to go far above and beyond for me. I look forward to doing business with Greg and his team at Redding Midas for a very long time. Five stars isnt enough.

I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone (and already have). The first time I went to Midas in 2005 it was for a simple oil change for a new vehicle. I had used Jiffy Lube for many years, but had become increasingly disappointed in their service and reliability.Doug, the owner, took care of my car and told me it needed new tires, but I should be fine for at least another six months. He also recommended a new oil filter, but again it could wait until the next oil change. He did not try to sell me anything I didnt need or push me into buying anything before it was necessary.After a year or two when I started having trouble with my vehicle (strange noises, riding funny), I brought it in for a diagnostic. Doug did not make me feel stupid or inferior because I knew so little about cars. Instead, he looked over the car, found the problem, and actually showed me the worn-out part compared to a new one. He explained how it worked and why it was causing problems. I had never had a mechanic be so kind and understanding (and I have lived in multiple cities and states).I have been a devoted fan of Doug and his wife at Midas for 11 years now and would never take my car anywhere else.

They have done a super job. They explains what they are doing and why. They all ways helpful and they work with us. I have a older car and they have done so much for me. Doug and the whole crew have been AWESOME.

I had brake trouble and stopped in. They were short handed yet were able to get the issue resolved in 2 hours. Doug was super helpful and genuinely cared about us.

The work they did was terrible. Put my brakes back together wrong had to get them redone only 2 weeks later. Was informed that there were parts missing.

Went in, had good service, but their pricing was way more than pep boys. Customer service seemed good, prices however.... Im going to start going to pep boys.

Very friendly and attentive when i dropped off vehicle. Went above and beyond attending to what I needed.

Needed brake work I knew for sure, however needed to also know why my car was vibrating so much. Doug explained as he was showing the issue not only did the brakes pads need replacing, also showed me that the back brakes assembly had issues that cause the tires not to be flush to the hub which created tire wear abnormal along with causing a lot of vibration. In short the shop I had previously used to replace brake pads did not correctly replace the pads on the back brakes which created another situation with my tires as well as the brakes, and vibration. I have asked at least two other shops in another area in the over the past two years and both said it was just tire wear, or needed alignment, or the joints may be need replacement, or the struts needed replace, all of which were wrong. Doug saw the issue right away, explained it showed me and resolved it. They also fixed other minor issue with the shroud on the under the front that I was aware of I decided to have my oil change, air filters, and new tires which I needed to be done there as well because I knew I could trust the quality of parts and service by the way Doug explained and proved his shop was trustworthy. When I left the shop my car was driving like new again. I felt safe again in drive my car knowing that Doug and his mechanics did an excellent job. I will always take my vehicle to there for any and all work. Doug and Ditna are honest, reliable owners of a trustworthy vehicle repair shop.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a shop I paid 85 dollars for them to weld new exhaust brackets on and the welds looked absolutely atrocious! And when I called they told me they did a great job. This place is a joke and I wont ever go back or ever recommend them to anyone

The owners of Midas are not only my all time favorite mechanics but they have become family. It is locally owned and operated and they only help with what you NEED not trying to up-sell you just to make an extra buck. They offer coffee and a nice waiting area but are so fast you hardly get time to enjoy it. I can honestly say I love this business and the people that run it. I feel like Ive always been treated fairly and they have even let me watch some of the cooler things theyve done to my car! That usually NEVER happens in a shop. I reffer all my friends and family! 😀

Found these people to be very thorough very experienced and very quick, we were broke down and far from home and they took good care of us and it was greatly appreciated!

Consumers beware!!! I will never return to midas... I purchased brakes and rotors with a lifetime warranty from them, took my car in a couple times for the free inspection, after our big snow storm my brakes started making a grinding noise I returned to midas to have them fixed the told me that I needed new rotors and brakes again and that my master cylinder was bad and needed to be replaced they quoted me $674. Not being able to afford this amount I called my regular mechanic he took a look and all I needed was brakes... my master cylinder was good!!! Midas was trying to scam me and charge me an extra 400 bucks for something wasnt needed.

I just moved into town and went to midas looking for some help with my 91 4runner. I was very happy with Doug and his crew at midas Redding. They were very helpful and honest. They let me know what i needed to do to keep my 4runner in great condition. I really like my truck and they seemed to like it as well. They helped me with the repairs and even called me to make sure i was happy. I am very happy and would recommend to anyone. I WILL be back for any and all repairs. I trust them and so should you. Dave is the franchise owner and often the service writer. I had them do a custom allignment on my truck to help with towing stability after getting a small lift to the front it was badly out of allignment. Worked great. It was a 2018 Truck so I was weary who I took it to. 10000 miles later the wear patterns on my tires look great. I had them recently service my trailer. Huge improvement to the driveability. Doug is very thorough, and the rates are competitive with everyone else around. His staff are thorough with their work as well, I had the chance to chat briefly with a couple of them, I know cars pretty well and I was very impressed. 11/10 for Midas Redding.

From the very 1st time I met with Doug about brakes for our Suburban he went out of his way to give me the very best deal ! In the last 6 months we have taken our P/U, Suburban and our car hauler trailer to them and EVERY time we are treated with respect and kindness..... Plus we get the very best of service !!
