Stellar experience. I was visiting from out of town when my iPhone stopped working. I tried two other places, and neither could get it working. This place took the extra steps, and finally got my phone working. I am so grateful for them.
I was asked to leave this business today because I would not wear a mask. I have done business with these people for decades so I was very surprised by what felt like a curt demand without any conversation. Wear a mask or leave were my options. I have already had Covid so I clearly do not pose a threat to anybody. Of course this is a private business and I support them making whatever decisions they feel is best for them. As far as me doing business with them in the future, unlikely.
What a great business to have nearby. They take care of your Apple devices.
They were great. Fixed the issue very quickly.
My family has bought multiple computers from Computer Village and have done many repairs with a variety of apple products and I have always been extremely satisfied with their help and expertise. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They strive to give you the best service at the most reasonable price. They have saved me a substantial amount of money throughout the years that I have worked with them. They have been my number one apple specialist for seven years and will continue to be given my experiences. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone who wants exceptional service with a superior outcome.
Honest; reliable service on Apple products for a long long time. These people have known Apple longer than Apple. You will not receive more knowledgeable service or better recommendations from any Genius Store or Simply Mac Store - anywhere in my opinion. I am not a friend or financially tied to the store. I have had 20 plus product related deals there - maybe more. They are just darn good.
I took my MacBook in for the black screen of death. They told told me it was most likely my lcd screen. I paid up front for the parts and repair work to be done. I was told it would be a few days as the part needed to be ordered. The next day I received a phone call stating the the lcd screen was ok and that they would refund my card the difference, which was a lot of money. They could have still done the work and made the money but did the right thing. This company has good business ethics and I recommend them.
The Customer service was very amazing! Called for approval before they fixed anything, also explained everything down to detail why it needed to be fixed and what they were fixing did for the computer itself (I dont know much about computers). Very impressed with this place and the price to fix it was very reasonable!!
Every Single person I talked to had exceptional customer service skills. I knew what was going on and what to expect with the repair every step of the way. There were no surprises when I picked up my phone. I dealt with Rory, Pete, Jake, and one other person whose name I did not get. Will recommend to anyone with Issues with an apple product.
Went in expecting to pay nearly $100 for an iPhone battery, but ended up not paying a dime - and getting what I needed in the process! Super friendly staff, super helpful service. Adam and Rory were excellent, went above and beyond, and got me exactly what I needed ASAP. Thanks, guys!
I have been a loyal customer since the early 90s, purchased 6 macs from Computer Village. Service/Help has always been a bit challenged but I was always able to make it work eventually. Until yesterday. I had a quick question on the mail program, stopped by to get some help. Only to be told I needed to take a class to learn how to use the program and it would cost me $30.00, I have used mail for years, I know how to use the program. I had one setting wrong a needed a little help. I did not find this to be good customer service. I later figured it out and it took less than 3 minutes to fix it. Like I said, I WAS a loyal customer. Not anymore, Computer Village you are not the only game in town. I am done.
Moving from Minneapolis where I always dealt with Apple Stores, I was a bit cautious about Computer Village. But my experience was great - dealt with Adam. I really only went to buy a new charger, but as he was making sure that was all that was needed, he asked about my speed, and was the wheel spinning a lot - which it was, and it drove me crazy. I only had 4 g of Ram on my 2012 Mac Book Pro, and 3 of it was used. he also looked at a few other things and cleaned it up - feels like a new computer again.
If I could give zero starts I would. I went in to get my iPhone fixed but that didnt happen. I waited an hour just to hear the employee 10 mins before they closed say he just started the repair. Keep in mind I was told it would be done in 15-20 minutes. Extremely displeased. I do not recommend either. Prices are horribly expensive for fixes that could be done in 10 mins for half the price somewhere else.
Computer Village is so very helpful!! I use them for all of my computer and iPhone needs. These Apple experts give prompt and knowledgable service. I consider them my personal tech support. So great!!
All the sales people are always friendly and attentive to what you need and what your budget it. Will always support them and buy their products
I have been using computer village for the past 6 years. I am a very happy customer of theirs. As a web developer, keeping my Macs working is terribly important. Their commitment to Mac users in the Black Hills is impressive. If you doubt this take a peek in the back of the store where they have six to eight repair specialists working at dedicated bays fixing Macs. This kind of commitment is not cheap believe me. When I need a repair on my MacBook Pro they have taken care of me every time. I am always impressed when I see a local business run so well.
Took my MacBook Pro in with an issue. They quoted me 5-7 days and over $400 in parts and labor to fix it and $140 to even look at it. They claimed it needed a new hard drive. I then took it to Best Buy where I was informed a $12 part and a day would fix the problem. Not happy with Computer Village and glad I got a second opinion. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere.
Fred, John, Jim and I have forgotten some names are the best. Taking the time to thoroughly work with you and your computer. Thank you all.
Computer Village has the worst employees. I walked in the store, went up to the counter and was helped by a man whose attitude was terrible. He expected me to know everything about my laptop, like I was the Apple Specialist! He asked me a question, which I did not know the answer to and he rolled his eyes. I ended up walking out without my laptop fixed and disappointed at their service. 0/5 stars for Computer Village. I cant wait to go to an actual Apple Store for a nice employee who takes pride in his/her job!
Joe from TCV walked me through every step to get my MacBook Pro serviced. They replaced the bottom panel of the Mac and even left it in the shrink wrap. They kept the computer inside of an anti-static bubble wrap, and let me remove all of the packaging.
Professional, extemely knowledgeable, down to earth and super friendly staff. And great coffee to enjoy !
Very helpful and Not condescending about a silly problem. No charge!
Visited Computer Village on 2 separate occasions in hopes of fixing a small problem. Second trip to the store only resulted in feeling insulted. A rude, condescending man helped me each time and basically told me to stay out of the settings because I didn’t know what I was doing. Well, that’s why I came to the “Apple Specialists” to help me, but unfortunately they were useless and did not solve my problem. Will not be back again.
I have been an apple owner for a long time. I recently took my laptop in for repair because of several issues. Upon picking it up, I had questions about the billing statement. The owner jumped into the conversation and was rude and disrespectful. When I would not accept his answer he stormed off into the back. Needless to say, my computer problems have not been fixed. After a $130+ bench fee, my computer is still having the same issues. The negative reviews are correct. I am sure if this was a Computer Village bought laptop, I would have been treated better. I for one judge a store by the owners behavior and in this case, I will never go into that establishment again. I highly caution any Apple user to seek repairs elsewhere. If your seek rude treatment, poor customer service, and a hostile shopping experience, then this is your Apple repair shop. Apple if you are reading this, you should revoke your authorized dealer status from Computer Village. They are disgracing your image.
They truly went above and beyond in fixing my phone!! Great people, great work ethic
Complete Village in Rapid City is everything thats wrong with Apple. Charging $50 for a surge protector and a ream of Sams Club paper! Get Real! The staff there only want to sell you the most expensive thing without actually listening to whats needed. Cant wait for another Apple Retailer to come to the area..
Very rude customer service and highly overpriced. I wonder how long it will take until Apple gets a real store in Rapid City that holds the same high Apple standards.
These are great people who bend over backwards to help you out any way they can.
Fast service, no wait and no lines. Personal attention and nice clean store.
Theyre always willing to help, and fix it for free, if they can. I will always take my business there.
Had problems with iPhone 6s charging connection port, and they found a piece of paper/lint in it and fixed in 30 seconds. Thank you!!!
Needed my Air back up and running after a random turning off it. I came here and I had the Air back and working in 5 hours. Thank you!!!
Extremely rude and condescending. Theyre way overpriced even for Apple products.
Excellent service and fast!!
It is helpful
Expensive and not the expected results
I have my reasons
