No communication between employees on what is going on with a customer account and not giving proper information to the customer.

I havenused this RAC for the last few years. The first time I worked with them over a year ago, I worked with Johnathan who was very helpful even though there were some issues with delivery.However, the last 4 week have been absolutely terrible. I ordered the couch set a wanted and was scheduled for delivery 3 days later. And hour after the latest time the furniture was to arrive I got a call saying g the couchs were broken and they would need to order them new. They offered a loaner . I explained that due to a narrow Halll it would need to be one with a removable back. The delivery teem arrived 2 hours late with a couch the was huge and didnt come apart at all. They put dings and hole in my walls and broke the front door of our apartment building. After trying anf breaking things for a hour they said they couldnt help and left. Mind you now our living room is totally empty.The next morning I went to the physical shop upon Opening and was told that there was no loaner availible and that I would have to use a recliner but they would deliver same day. When it was delivered they didnt put it together right and the back fell off when my bf sat in it.They called the next week and said they were receiving the set and wanted to schedule a delivery for me. I scheduled it for today between 2and 4 pm and, surprise surprise... it 5pm and they still havent brought me any furniture...This is not to mention how I have been nagged to make payments for furniture I didnt ever want in the first place. Even though the manager said I wouldnt be charged until we received the set we orderedI am absolutely livid. I will be paying off asap and telling everyone I know to avoid this location like the plague
Decided to become a first time customer with RAC and this location isnt bad at all. The new manager Lisa was more than helpful in answering my questions. Ive rented before from Aarons and let me say the system at RAC works so much better. They were willing to deliver same day. I truly had no complaints.
Been doing business with them for years an they get a whole new team in an idk now they go back on what they say i waited for a person to come back up an talk to me but it took to long now a days its like they dont what to help there loyal customers i used to like it there but idk now

Decent prices. Could do without the constant “courtesy” reminder calls. I’m consistent with bill pay yet seem to get harassed with days of constant calls, text and emails prior to a due date. Rather an inconvenience and honestly annoying. Other than that pretty good if you’re needing something quick and cheap.
Whoever the lady that answers the phone has an attitude problem. My couches didnt fit but they were nice enough to let me switch. I was told that they can deliver it the next day and that they didnt have any deliveries to do. The next day I waited for a couple hours and nobody came. I was scheduled for today but they call my sister, not me and said they will be late. I called them to tell them that I wont be able to stay longer because I have school. She was like why did you schedule the appointment if you had school. And I said I was told to 1pm not 1pm until 3pm. She said we can schedule again but at this rate I am already upset with them so I cancelled before I could ask for a refund she said okay no problem its cancelled. Then hung up. So I had to call back to ask for a refund. She told me to wait a second and said she refunded me and I said thank you. She hung up again. Other then her. The rest of the staff is friendly.
Edit - i apologize for previous review, i thought i was reviewing my new local rent a center where i moved to. NO, my experience with rapid city rent a center was stellar. I set up auto pay on the app and paid every week on time no issues. When i needed help with a few payments at the end they helped a lot. The install and removal was timely and they took care of the products and didnt rough house like previous rent a centers in other states. They even gave me a letter of credit for use at my new store where i moved to. It was the new manager who wouldnt accept that letter and flat out lied to me about his current products that i had an issue with in Pennsylvania.
This business is a great service IF nothing goes wrong with your appliances. The latch on my dryer broke. I had their protection plan. I have NEVER been late on a payment. I called about my latch in May. I was told it will take 1-2 weeks for the part to come in, and they would call me when they got it. I finally got them to come get the dryer to fix in July, after calling several times. All I got during these calls is let me figure out if we have a loaner or if we can fix this right away and I will call you back. They never once called me back, I always called them. Their loaner dryer was an absolute joke! It took over an hour to dry 3 pairs of jeans. I dealt with this loaner dryer for 3 weeks with no call from them on an update about my dryer, meanwhile, I was still paying for an appliance that I now dont have! I finally called them to find out what was the hold up and the first guy said he had no clue where my dryer was, and the manager is unavailable. He took my information and would get back to me. He never did. I spent the course of an entire week trying to at least get an answer about my dryer. Fixing the latch on a dryer takes like 15-20 minutes to fix. Its not hard. I never got an answer. When I finally requested a manager, I was told that he was in a meeting and I need to call back in a half hour. Upon calling back, I was then told he was on vacation. I finally told the last person I talked to everything that was going on and she convinced me to give her a chance and will call me back after she got more information. I warned her that if I received no returned call, they can come get the appliances. She never called me back. That was on a Friday, so I waited until Monday afternoon to give her ample time, just to give her plenty of chance. Never got a phone call back from anybody. When I told them to come pick up their stuff, they would have preferred me to change my scheduled day for their convenience, and for me to call them. This is not how business is done! Each employee was cordial, but niceness doesnt go far when there is no follow through to promises made.Update☆☆ After posting this review, I received a phone call from the district manager, who offered a simple resolution: she replaced my dryer with a new one, exactly like the one I had, so I wouldnt have to wait anymore. That was not at all what I was expecting, and I took the offer. She was very kind, and informed me that she will look into the maintenance portion of the store so these issues arent repeated. I received my dryer within an hour of talking to her, AND a phone call from the store letting me know an ETA when they would show up at my house. I changed it from 1 star to 3 because even though I had very prompt service after the review, it is still sad that the store managers couldnt take care of simple customer service without having to get corporate personnel involved.
Jonathan is first class dealing with him and he makes everything right and shell take his own time off and come out there and make sure the deals right and just had a pleasant experience with that man
