We were visiting from out of town, when our muffler fix decided to not be fixed anymore. The guys at Great Western Tire were the only shop in town who even considered squeezing us in, and then they went a step further and fixed our muffler issue way better than we ever could have. They were very courteous and did not over charge us for a piece of pipe and a weld. Could not have been happier with the outcome! Thank you again!!

I couldnt ask for better service. They were able to get me out of a jam with a frozen wheel bearing spline shaft. Scott took it right back & they had it pressed out in less than 15 minutes.Next day he pressed out my old bearing & installed new one for me. Great service & pricing.

Customer care is a priority. Pricing of 4 tires on my truck was fair and affordable. Salesman took his time to explain the difference in 4 ply vs. 10 ply tires. Was not like we were just another couple hundred dollars rolling in. I would return. On top of that who else provides you with an estimated diagnosis of your wheel alignment. Also careful checking competitors pricing, Great Western had the better price. Saved about $150.00.

I normally dont write reviews, but I wanted to say a big thank you to the guys at Great Western Tire! I had a leak in my tire for months that eventually blew into a hole. The next morning I went there at 8 and, even though they were busy, they were able to get my car in. It was quick service for a great price, and they even disposed of my tire and recalibrated my TPS. Within two hours, I was back on the road. Thank you!

4 new tires and an alignment for my truck. Certainly competitive on the tires and a coupon made the alignment quite inexpensive. Im quite happy at this point.

Took my BMW X1 in after hitting a curb from an ice patch. Only place in town that could fit me in day of. Original diagnosis was alignment out (makes sense) - fixed that. Still didnt feel right. Brought back in later that same day. Next, say the wheel is bent (also makes sense). Got a new wheel 5 days later, still didnt feel right. Figured it had to be a warped rotor or something wrong with the wheel bearing. Brought it back in day after new wheel. Indeed, the hub flange was bent. Overall, Robby and Matt gave me great service and communicated very well -- would definitely recommend them. Only thing that frustrated me was that it took three visits to find the root problem. Could have easily covered all the bases and checked the wheel & hub on the first visit. They did negotiate labor charges, which I appreciated. Guys up front okay, guys in back great.

Stop by to get new tires which thanks to Good Year rebates were at really good price. While I was there I also tried to get an alignment. I was told that the vehicle could not be align due to having loose upper ball joints and they gave me a $600 estimate. I had just replaced the upper ball joints 5 months before in May. I then took the pick up to a dealer for alignment and turn out the ball joints were fine. 🤔

I wish I could give minus points ... Bought 4 travel trailer tires at this place on 1st July 2020. Unfortunately I didnt check them all ... only one of the tires was mounted with the tire date code on the outside of the sidewall, the other three tires had no visible tire date code. I assumed they have all the same date ... I was so wrong. Only one tire is made 2020, the other three tires have a tire date code 4917 - which means CW 49 (December) of year 2017! That tires have already reached more than 50% of their lifespan! Probably no coincidence that all three 2017 tires were mounted with the date code to the inside so I would not crawl under the trailer and check the inside sidewalls. Guys, thats life-threatening and some people may call it a fraud!!! Im traveling currently full-time with my trailer and am already too far away, otherwise I would go immediately back to that place. It really sucks that I have thrown away my money and need to replace these tires only a few days after purchasing them as it is too risky for me to run into a blowout. And who knows what else happened to the tires the last 2.5 years in storage ... Never again!

Great staff and fair prices. Worked with Mike at the counter and he treated me good on two trailer tires and a rim. I told him what I needed and he went through the options of what they had in stock and explained the differences. In the end the only difference that mattered to me was a good made in USA tire that they had. Service didnt take long either.

While traveling from Massachusetts to Mt Rushmore I encountered problems with the tires on my travel trailer. Deciding to replace all four of them due to safety concerns I found Great Western Tire in Rapid City SD. After pulling in with no appointment I had four new tires and was back on the road in an hour and a half. The sales staff and technicians were extremely friendly and accommodating. It could not have been a better experience.

Wanted to replace all 5 tires on my 5th wheel with American made Goodyear RV tires. Scott in the office showed me tires for my RV and got me quotes a few days earlier and answered all my questions. I was told they open at 7:30 so I pulled in around 7:15. Fred in the shop immediately directed me into a spot for the work, and started working on my rig before I even went in to do the paperwork! Fred answered all my questions and was very personable. 5 tires were changed out in less then 1 hour and I was headed home! Outstanding service! I would highly recommend Great Western Tire for your RV tires. Great people, products, and service. I will return! Thanks Fred and Scott!

Ive taken my car there many times. Professional, clean, relatively quick service.

5 times my truck has been in this shop. Each time charged for something different and still not fixed. Top it off they taped up my window as a fix? Expensive duct tape. Sold me old snow tires that constantly went flat. Causing them to wear excessively. Broke my door handle and electric window locking me inside and out of my truck leaving me f:;’ed . Notice the handicapped sticker or the veteran plates by chance? This is how you take care of people. Wonder if they’d mind their own vehicles unlocked window open raining snowing inside or their shop for that matter. Owner got a call from me. Nothing changed

Terrific service going out if there was to help.We are traveling though yet they worked us in for an oil change and to rotate/balance tires. Not a big job for them and as travelers no repeat business. Yet they understood or plight got us right in and did the work for a very reasonable fee. If it is service you need and a commitment to doing in it right you will love this place!

Took a pickup in to have new tires mounted. Went to pick it up and was informed my wheels were corroded and that I needed new wheels. Why wouldn’t they tell a guy that before mounting and balancing tires? As a gesture of good measure they informed me if I bought wheels from them they would swap them for free.....thanks but no thanks. Found a set of wheels and had them mounted elsewhere. You’d think a guy that bought 5 sets of tires in that store in the last couple months would get a little better service.

I was on road to Maine and got an issue on my shocks. They gave me a quick appointment. Good service and friendly attitude. Even though there was a misunderstanding for the shocks cause the brand of the car, they didnt charge me for alignement. Cheap and quick, I recommend Great western Tire.

Exceptional service!Coming through town for vacation, noticed we had an issue with our car, they were able to make room enough to get it in and checked out, turns out we broke a spring on the suspension and they were able to source the part and get it installed and is back on the road the next day, We couldnt have asked for more, all staff was nice and very helpful.It seems that the shops in town can seem to get overwhelmed with the summer tourist traffic, they were actually very helpful getting us in a fixed, called many shops who couldnt/wouldnt even look at our car, glad we ended up here.

I have only done tires there a few times and they always do a great job. I had an issue on my last visit but the management took care of it right away!

Be careful buying tires here. They will do free tire rotations, but unless you buy another service you do not get an appointment and will have to sit there and wait until they have time. They will tell you it will only take 45 minutes, but 2 hours later it still wasnt done. Poor customer service. If you offer a service, I should be able to schedule an appointment to have it completed. I will be going elsewhere from now on. I prefer to go someplace that values me as a customer.

I come here for car repairs, and there is no one and nowhere else in the city I trust more than these guys, and my car is my BABY. They are friendly and professional. If you need tires, oil changes, car repairs. This is the place!

Had a nail in a my passenger front tire, and they were able to get me in and repaired without an appointment in less than two hours. Counter staff was extremely pleasant.

Upon finishing of the alignment of my mustang, i hear revving of my mustang going on outside of the shop. I reach the window just to see some tech tearing out of the parking lot, completely ROASTING the clutch by the way, and proceeding to speed down the street to the stop light, takes a right and i can hear my car being romped on all the way until he is out of earshot. Completely unacceptable. Will not be coming back. If you have a performance car, do not bring it here. They will take it for a little joyride or god knows what else

We broke down in the mountains and was towed here! After being told by other shops that it could be up to 2 weeks before they could get to us and would take 4-5 days to fix, our warranty company sent us here and they got us in quick and fixed our truck in 2 days! Even loaned us a truck to take our rental truck back!! Nicest staff ever!! Extra Thanks to Scott for all he done for us! You made a bad situation a lot easier to handle! We was afraid that we had to go back home to Indiana but with your help we continued our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Yellowstone, Washington and we are still going! Called ahead to set up a rotation and was told no appointments accepted. Asked if 1:00 would not incur a waiting time and they said it should work fine. Got there and was told it would be 2 hours. So much for the free tire rotations with purchase. Seems they dont want to do them but use it to sweeten the tire sale. I wont be back. Ive never had to wait at Peerless.

I usually dont have time or care enough to write these reviews, but my experience with this company was bad enough to do so. I bought a set of expensive tires and after a while I had a slow bead leak in a tire. After charging me to fix the problem, the other three tires began to do the same shortly after. Out of all the cheaper tires Ive bought from other companies Ive never had this problem and I even lived in areas with much worse weather than Rapid City. Needless to say the fact that I bought more expensive tires from Great Western wasnt enough to show me a little bit of customer service because their time is more important than mine to get these fixed. Most people I work with refuse to give them their money as well. So if you enjoy customer service, Id say go to Peerless tires. Ive had good experiences with them and they do free flat repair (or used to). Or buy a Sams Club membership. Their annual membership is cheaper than fixing two tires at Great Western, and Sams fixes flats for free.

I called to get my tires rotated. They told me to come in, first come first serve. I show up with a ad that says free alignment check with any service, they then tell me that i would have to have called to get the free alignment check :|. I stated that i did call and asked for a rain check on the free alignment because they claimed to not have time to do one. I was denied. Not only denied but i was served with attitude. No i really dont recommend this place unless you absolutey have too based on not sticking to thier own specials aka false advertising. A dishonest business will find a way to get you everytime.

So far they have been really easy to work with. We take all our vehicles to the for maintenance and repairs. We bought a lemon from Summerset Motors and Great Western has helped us along thru our bad purchase from Summerset Motors.

Worst repair shop experience ever. Poor service, actual wait times are regularly a lot longer than estimated. Took a under warranty tire in for repair, was told well take care of it and quoted no price, then was asked to pay $240 when the work was complete.Ive taken my car here three times so I know its not a one-time experience (three too many for my taste, but it had good reviews and was the certified Goodyear tire dealer when I needed a new set of tires). Tip: if you want Goodyear tires, just go somewhere else.First time: 45 min wait to have my car looked at. Understandable since I was a drop in with a flat. TOTAL TIME: 2 hours 20 min.Second time: Repair work on my car. I made an appointment because I remembered the wait was long. Appointments dont mean a THING here. Waited 45 min to have the car looked at. At an hour and a half, I got up to ask if there was any progress. The guy said they couldnt find the problem and set my car aside hoping they could get it to do it later. Ugh. I have other things to do!! I was 8 months pregnant at the time and hoping that would get me some nicer treatment. After two hours, I got up and said I want my car back and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service and the wait. The guy at the counter was very rude, unsympathetic, and reluctant to return my car until I insisted. TOTAL TIME: 2 hours 30 min, with an appt.Third time: I know, I cant believe I went here again. I had a blowout on the tire I bought there. When I got there, they tell me Im first in line and it should only take 30 minutes. 45 minutes later I ask about my car and Im told that they dont actually have the tire, but theyre getting it from the warehouse and it will take a little longer. Im currently at Great Western Tire, going into my second hour. If theyd at least communicated with me in the beginning that it would be 2 hours, I wouldnt have been so upset.Third time update: Took it there because my tires were still under warranty. When I arrived the guy said hed take care of it and I wasnt quoted any price. When they finally finished with my car, I got the bill for $240 and was told they didnt cover my tire. TOTAL TIME: 2 hours 15 minThe quality of the work is not the problem. But the customer service reality does not align with expectations. If you have all day and dont mind them not telling you anything until you get fed up, go ahead.

Visiting from out of state needed a oil change. Asked that the tures be rotated and air pressure adjusted. When paying for the oil change the total was $99 we were told the air pressure was adjusted. It was not and when we returned they adjusted the pressure but didnt reset the computer.

Goodyear tire warranty is not honored, they are independently owned and choose not to participate.

Staff was friendly. did not try to upsell or anything like that. came in with a flat, left with a new tire mounted and balanced for $69. in and out in less than an hour.
