Excellent business to deal with. I have been a customer for years and wont go anywhere else for my computer needs. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly even when Im not in the best mood. There may be other places with slightly better prices, but Im more focused on technical ability and reliable customer service. This is the place to go when you need the job done right.

I was at Intrex Raleigh on 10/19/21 buying some cables when I saw my old friend Dale Siler inside. Dale, who was looking especially greasy and unkempt that day, was speaking with a dapper gentleman in a 5 piece suit chased in lavish gold. He had no hair and gave exemplary service, accepting Dales return not once, but 3 times. Dale couldnt help but cry as his bank account stretched to its limit. Ive attached artists renditions of each of the gentlemen in the store to help paint a picture of their confrontation.

I drove 30 minutes to go here and it was SO worth it! Joe heroically saved my very expensive laptop from my careless mistake (spilled A LOT of coffee on it). He was super friendly, highly skilled, and got it all done in just one day! Would recommend this place to anyone!

$116 to diagnose my computer. they said send to ROSSMAN repair in NYC. another $500. I would strongly suggest just sending it to ROSSMAN its free diagnosis & a fast turnaround. I feel like I wasted money at this place, well I did for sure. Just go to professionals.

I hv been a Intrex Customer @ their old location on Wake Forest Rd in N Raleigh NC for yrs. I had purchased products from that store & needed to exchange them. Unfortunately, when I returned I found out They had moved that location to Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. I proceeded to that store and when I entered, I was the only person in the store. It was abt 4:00PM & it seemed no one was there. I waited for a couple minutes and finally said ‘Is anyone here??’ Almost immediately he came out and I could tell he wasn’t very happy. He never said hello, asked me if I was A-OK, refused to look me in the eye because he was busy on his iPhone which made me feel like I was nothing but a pest. I told the ‘gentleman’ (that’s pushing it) What I wanted to do & immediately muttered that He couldn’t exchange or refund my product or money b4 I even finished My explanation. I had the receipt, the product & they were still in the original bag. He said the time limit on My receipt had expired and there was nothing he could do. It irritated me so much, instead of making a scene, I simply told Him to keep the product, the receipt & the entire bag, NEVER to return!! The products totaled $30.14. They were never used, with the receipt & as I mentioned in the same bag. Now I regret walking out Without putting up a fight but @ the time I jst knew He In no way shape, fashion or form wanted to deal with My simple request. To make the situation even worse, He had long, uncombed hair, was wearing a Wrinkled T-shirt & jeans. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL & down rite RUDE!! Personally, Our Family is in the retail business. I no Customers no r hard to get & easy to lose if not treated in at least some reasonable fashion. I can tell You. AMAZING CAPABILITIES. MIRACLE WORKERS!! Reasonable prices too.These guys are amazing at PC repairs. I took them a custom built Windows 10 workstation that suffered the blue screen of death that other techs could not solve. I thought surely the PC was dead and that my apps and data were gone. Joe fixed my computer and was able to save all my data and apps. I was so thrilled with their service that I would recommend that you not go anywhere else for a PC repair. Ten stars from me!

I bought all of my PC components on PC part picker. I could have built the computer myself, but I wanted it to be professionally done. They built my computer and already cloned my OS for like $150. Definitely worth it in my opinion as I bought a massive CPU cooler, and some really nice parts. I didnt want to mess it up. Ive had the computer for a month and change, and it works perfectly.Only complaint is the employee I dealt with could have maybe smiled once or twice. Other than that, perfect experience. I received my computer back quicker than they quoted.

Great service, but stock was lacking. Went in hoping to buy parts to upgrade my gaming pc. Walked out with the motherboard I was looking for, but the other pieces Ill have to order. I really wish there was a full-variety computer parts store in the area, so annoying always having to order and wait for delivery whenever I need to upgrade. The gentleman I spoke with was friendly and helpful, though. Would love to shop here again if they could keep more in stock.

Walked in on Wednesday with a new computer completely stripped of everything, including operating system, received a quote that was acceptable. I was called by Joe on Thursday, advised what I needed to do and was called back on Friday advising my computer was ready. Price was lower than quoted. Joe was professional, polite and Im thrilled with the service. Will definitely share my experience with friends!

Took a water cooled computer to them, but they will not work on them. They get five stars for being upfront and recommending another company, Top Flight Computers, that would work on the loops.I very much appreciate that they steered me to someone who could help and will continue to go to Intrex Computers for services they can provide. Good and friendly service with a knowledgeable staff that cares. Definitely better than the big box store consumer tech support.

Changing to 5 stars. The issue with my PC was something AMD had been working hard to cover up - The USB failures and outages were an issue with the AMD chip itself.

Terrible service. I called and was told one price get to the store and magically the price is $40 more than the price I was quoted for a i3 10100 cpu. So the guy helping me was a sneaky jackaxx. I told him I was quoted $120 on the phone. He said there is nothing he can do but the price is $159. I asked if he could ask his fellow employees if they spoke with anyone regarding the i3 10100. He said its just a bunch of guys back in the back. Since you couldnt browse the store I asked him what was the price on a board I seen marked in clearance. He knew nothing about the board and said he couldnt help me on that board because it wasnt entered in the system correctly. Yet the board was sitting on the table. I said ok. Then, I ask him the price on a new msi z490-a pro motherboard I seen. He said its $190 plus tax. I ask him why is it so expensive. He said because we are a brick and mortar store. I looked the board up. And best buy closer to my house had it for $134. So I left the expensive PC part store and bought everything from best buy except the GPU for my gaming computer. They will never see me again. Nor will I refer anyone. I work in the I.T field btw.

This store is great, they have lots of parts and it is the best place in the area to buy parts for a PC and get help with your PC problems. If you need a laptop or pre-built PC Id still go to Best Buy though.

I recently had some issues with Microsoft 10 not being able to update. Also had some other issues. Took it into the Raleigh location and spoke with Joe. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He personally helped me with that and other questions that I had. After talking to Joe for quite some time, I feel comfortable in asking for him on any future visits. The entire staff was great. I also purchased my computer about a year ago from the Cary location. Brad Carpenter helped me with everything. Absolutely great customer service!!! Grateful for their attention to detail.

Extremely knowledgeable staff

Overpriced and there were no sales associates present, I could have stolen something if I wanted to. For the first 5 minutes or so I was alone at the store. Either way I checked and almost everything you can find it cheaper in Best buy,Amazon or New Egg online.

Kudos to Tyler for getting my laptop back to my normal. This knows enough to be dangerous lady (me) hit something on my laptop and messed up the settings. Tyler very easily resolved the problem and was very pleasant in the process. Highly recommend !!

Ive been building, buying and repairing my machines at Intrex for 25 years and they are the best. Joe and the guys at the Raleigh Wake Forest Rd. store always do a fantastic job of troubleshooting and repairing my machines at a very reasonable price. If you live in the Triangle area and are serious about your computers, you are CRAZY not to be a long-term Intrex customer.

Ive been using Intrex for over 3 years now and frankly, I wouldnt go anywhere else. When I have a problem they are as knowledgeable and professional as can be. They are exceptionally quick at fixing problems and very affordable.My current computer was custom built by their team and it is the most resilient computer Ive had to date. I use my computer around 8 hours per day and push it to its limits constantly, but this computer is built to last and doesnt degrade in quality like my previous ones have.Their team is nothing but top tier professionals who are extremely kind and understanding employees when it comes to customer satisfaction. I never feel belittled or ignored when i enter this store. When i have questions that might sound ridiculous to a PC expert, they help me to understand the answer while not making me feel incompetent.If you end up going try and speak with their employee named Joe, he wont steer you wrong and you can expect nothing but the best quality and service out of him. Im so thankful to have found Intrex, because a lot of the other companies Ive been to in the past were only pretending to be half as good as this place truly is.You will not be disappointed if you end up taking your business to them, they will deliver and it will be above your expectations at a timely affordable rate. Great when you need something fast.

Have been working with these guys for over 10 years. Always have answers to my PC questions and have stretched out my PC life with upgrades and accessories. Just got some great advice and an opted for a new laptop from Noah and he converted over the info on my old laptop and got my new solution to me all in the same day! Everyone there is very knowledgeable and supportive.

I needed to have more memory for my laptop. I had already purchased the chip but did not know how to instal it. The 1st computer store I contacted TOTALLY refused to do the work because I had not bought the chip at their store. The next store I called said their starting price for any work was $99.00. I then called Intrex and was told they would install the component for me at a much lower price. I took my laptop in and Jordan provided the service. He completed this task within a couple of hours. (The other stores I had contacted told me they would not be able to do this service in a timely manner!) Jordan was extremely polite, gave me an rough estimate for the amount of time it would require ...but the turn-around time quoted was far less than he had estimated!I will definitely give these folks my computer business/needs in the future.

Called the store and spoke to Victor. My laptop is acting up and wanted to know whether to spend money to troubleshoot with them or just buy another one. Victor advised me of an action plan and was very helpful.

Completely satisfied with my experience.Staff was prompt and courteous. They were transparent about prices, the prices were reasonable, and the price stated was the price I paid (no surprise charges or fees). Got my computer back and it works better than Id hoped.

They are like the Ace or Harrys Guitar shop of computer buying, you get real service that saves a ton of money in the end, I got a pc from them 4 years ago and took their advice and got higher-end components, and it is still going strong. Like Harrys, leave your ego at the door and ask lots of questions and you will get great advice. I used to work in hi-tech so i know competence when I see it.

Joe is simply a life saver! My near week of futility came to a very happy ending because of my decision to take my ailing Dell Inspiron to Intrex. About a week ago my laptop stopped charging (the message was plugged in, not charging). A 30 minute visit to Best Buy (who did not solve the issue), a one hour phone call with Dell technical support (all I got was a box to mail it to them for repair - a dead computer with all of my personal info - really???) - a few other calls and lots of Googling about, I was at my wits end. Office Depot suggested I try Intrex - a phone call indicated it was a good idea. At worst, Joe told me that they would open up the laptop and fit the hard drive so that I could get my data (I was truly ready to just trash this machine). I dropped it off - and within a few minutes got a call from Joe - Its not dead...it is charging - he removed the battery, let it drain down and reinstalled - and like that we were in business. Less than 100.00 despite over an hour of their working on it - they could have given me any story, but what I did get is pleasant service, my computer back, and a smile on my face! I had a fantastic experience. I work in specialty sales, so I am hypersensitive to when someone is being a salesman and when they are actually helping. I was getting the latter at this location. My computer had up and died and I was able to get one put together set for my need (casual gaming and photo editing). Not only do I have a machine that I have faith will keep me going for the next 5+ years, but frankly I know it was put together properly.

I brought my MacBook Pro laptop to Intrex Computers to get it fixed. Great turnaround time and price. Joe worked on my computer and has detailed technical knowledge. Great service, thank you Joe!

As far as service prices are concerned, I found them very reasonable. Also the man working the front store today was very helpful and offered awesome customer service.

Built my first computer using components from Intrex, and went to them for repair services a few times over the years with great results. I really like this shop -- especially the repair services, which are far better than you will find at Geek Squad or the like -- but the markup on components can be pretty high. Itd be nice to see some more competitive pricing on those!

When you need it fixed right or have concerns of your privacy when dealing with geek squad.. this is where you go.Cant say enough about these folks. Been trusting them with computer repairs for friends and family for over 15 years. Exceptionally skilled and honest. I have been a Raleigh Intrex Customer for over a Decade! They have always been able to take care of ANY Computer need I had. Specifically Joe the Service manager and Jonathon in Sales are Incredible, I own a Business and Joe has serviced and Built Computers for me, each time making sure I got the Build I needed. I wont go anywhere else!

Sadly, even though their online catalog listed the part I needed at a relatively high price, i still would have bought if it was in stock. So I called and was told they had what I wanted -- at twice the price listed! When I mentioned the cheaper model listed online, I was told it would still cost the ridiculously high price.

I went to Intrex when my laptop shut down and would not turn back on.My laptop was under warranty and Intrex had great reviews, so I figured theyd be able to help me.The diagnostics fee was huge, I had to pay $140 upfront for diagnostics. It turned out that the motherboard needed to be replaced and I was told this would take a week or two, since they had to order in the parts. When they called me back after just 3 days, I was thrilled to pick up my laptop!!heres when the issues started:1) when they fixed my laptop, they broke the keyboard, that cost me an extra $107, and they unapologetically told me that things like that happen.. these computers are very delicate.2) my HP envy laptop is touch screen.. well, WAS touch screen. When I got home, I realized that the touch screen feature did not work anymore, I figured it was just turned off.. but its not even listed under the software now. no way to get it back.A few days after I get my laptop back, it broke again. They had failed to properly put the laptop back together properly and a screw had gotten loose, it was coming OPEN.. what a mess. I went back and they got it to work again.While I was there, I asked about the touch screen feature, and whether they could work on getting it back on there, they pretty much told me there was no way to know IF it worked properly before.. that they werent calling me a liar but theres no proof they messed that up and that it wasnt their problem.Anyway, I spent $600 out of my $700 warranty at this place. It was outrageously expensive and the repair guy was very unpleasant to work with, and surely unprofessional, and in the end, my nice touch screen computer isnt even touch screen anymore... save yourself some trouble and money and go somewhere else!

Great shop. I traded in a PC for credit towards a laptop and had another PC freshened up with these guys. Extremely fair pricing and work was done on time.

I took my laptop computer in to get cleaned (after owning it for 6.5 years) since it was overheating, and they cleaned it, and now it works like a charm, no overheating, the fan doesnt over-work like it used to. They also did a diagnostic and took off some malware from my computer I didnt realize was slowing it down and fixed an audio/video mismatching issue. It seems to all be working well now. Fair price, too. I recommend these guys!

Great store for anyone who needs a part or service right now including game system builders. They have friendly and attentive staff. They do not carry maker items like r pi or adafruit or 3D printers. Perhaps stores like this are missing out on a segment of business by not offering classes on how to use project items like this and stocking the supplies.

They built my new computer quickly and efficiently for a good price. Constantly kept me engaged as they built the pc so I was getting the best product possible.

The store is a very nice space just off of 440 in N. Raleigh (ish). They have a good selection of PC hardware, and the staff is super helpful and knowledgable! It doesnt look like a Best Buy inside but itll get you what you need, and at a decent price.

Theyve been around for years locally owned and operated. You can still get a good quality clone box built there with service from them just the way you want it or some off the shelf Marine computers that are competitive prices as well. Ive always gotten good support when I went in and now that the other stores closed on capital Boulevard their competitor Im more grateful theyre still here.

I worked with a guy who went above and beyond for me. I went in already having built a computer at home, but the power supply was too big for the case. He took one of theirs out of the box and measured it, covering to mm for me. Then when we found that it was still too big for my case, he helped me find a replacement - a perfect mini-ITX case that made the whole project come together - and it was only $60-70 bucks. So happy, thanks!

The repair service is excellent! My laptop crashed, went to these guys, got a new laptop, they moved all my files, programs, outlook, Microsoft office, everything. Nothing was lost, they called me twice to let me know how things were going...and they completed the work a day early. Everything works great. Oh, and they also let me recycle a bunch of old electronics I happened to have in my trunk. Will definitely use them again!

Intrex was referred to me by a Tier 3 IT Manager at Network Appliance. So far Intrex has been upfront and honest with me. I have sent 7 of my office computers to them for repair over the last 4 years. They have always repaired the problem and their fees have been reasonable. What I dont like is the fact they cannot process a credit card payment over the phone. I had to drive from Holly Springs to pay them to get my work computer. Besides this inconvenience they have been good. If things should change I will update my review.

Ive only been here for quickly grabbing random odds and ends related to computer and network setup (Cat 5e cables, SATA III cables, a USB cable extender, a molex-to-SATA adapter, etc.). The selection of small components is surprisingly good, and the staff are helpful.

Just called about a Radeon RX Vega and before i finished saying the name of the product i was told “No...” so i had to ask “no like you dont stock it?, or no like we are out?” he repeated “No.....” and finally said “we dont stock it”I understand alot of people call you for random stuff but how are you going to attract more business by treating them this way?I am building a racing simulator in my house and i wanted the best of the best. I was prepared to buy all the parts from you guys but after that kind of response I decide to take my business elsewhere...Sad because my dad loves coming there.

Called this morning to verify if they carried a replacement charger for my laptop before driving out to their store. Not only were they unhelpful (had no way to verify if the charger would fit), the sales associate was very rude and condescending to me over the phone. After that call, I chose to go to Walmart to buy my replacement charger. Yes, I opted to deal with Walmart and their employees instead of Intrex. Thats saying something.

I bought a 2nd gen ryzen cpu (5) online, without knowledge of the motherboard needing a first gen ryzen to upgrade the bios. Intrex save me a hundred dollars, and pain by upgrading my motherboard with one of their 1st gen ryzen cpus for a small fee. My computer works great now. Thank you for the awesome customer service, and the very fast turn around. Highly recommend this location!

They have a fair amount of computer parts and accessories that normally have to be ordered online. Prices are better than online when you figure in shipping costs.

I love this place.Yesterday, I went in with a Toshiba laptop that wouldnt boot. Intrex found it was a bad hard drive. They saved all my data and replaced my mechanical hard drive with an SSD. My computer is now faster that it was when it was new! All for $213. These folks are good.A couple years ago. I went in with the H key broken off my Toshiba laptop keyboard. The repair person told me replacing a keyboard is $50 for keyboard and $50 - $100 for labor. But then he looked at my laptop, found it was the hinge under the key that broke. He gave me a website where I could buy individual hinges and keycaps. He went to the website with me and identified the right one to buy. Bottom line: I ordered keys and hinges from this website and replaced them myself (using the instructions hed given me). My laptop is back to normal. Total cost to me: $15. Yay!
