This is my alma mater and Im a proud graduate. Being a member of the Platinum Sound Marching Band under the legendary baton of Charles Brown as well as Andrae King was one of the best experiences of my life.

Shaw University has been instrumental in helping me achieve my educational goals. I love my HBCU.

Shaw University is a wonderful school. They have helped a lot of students.

Clean campus with a high priority of keeping their students and faculty safe and out of harms way. Local onsite campus police and sitting edge security systems to ensure everyone’s safety. Offering many options for advanced learning and extra curricular activities. The campus is right downtown with access to everything in the city just via walking!

It is always wonderful to visit Shaw. Rigorous curriculum, encouraging atmosphere, and an collegiate experience second to none. Excellence. Opportunity. THIS IS SHAW U!

Changed tremendously since I graduated. Wouldnt neccesarily say for the better. Just seem like tradition was lacking in a few areas. But besides that, its my HBCU and thats why they will always get my 5 stars

Outstanding staff, they are committed to seeing that the students will be the BEST that they can be. It seems like a family environment and thats what my grandson needs.

College can be one of the vehicles for determining your success in life. It wont satisfy all of your needs but the experience of exchanging ideas with other students should be exciting. No college is perfect. Try and look at the positives that Shaw can offer like the ability to access school administrators and the opportunity to become a class officer & present innovative ideas. Ive studied in large institutions where there were as many 300 students in a lecture hall and youre nothing more than a number. I would suggest that you stay at Shaw University and make something great out of yourself and your school.

Quiet small community and easily accessible

Stopped by the bookstore to pick up some SU alumni items!

This is the worst option to hand over your future, it is the worst experience I have ever experienced, not only me, but also the great majority of my colleagues. We never receive an advice or a guide when entering this university, they charge you unnecessary charges and they are also incredibly disorganized. Honestly if I had the opportunity to return the time I would have never chosen this university, make sure to go personally to visit the universities and realize personally that it will make a good environment for your future, but this is undoubtedly the worst option!.

Not a fan of the school. The teachers are ok. Although the students aren’t welcoming. I am having a horrible experience at this school. I don’t feel comfortable in my dorm. I don’t fell comfortable walking around campus because all of the guys here are to confident in there selves which causes them to be inappropriate. I haven’t even made it through the first semester and I can’t take it anymore.

Since it moved, it seems more spacious. I love the new look, has team photos, and great campus gear and items.

Everyone on the staff is always so helpful and they normally have everything that you need in stock including books.

Really nice staff, they always have almost everything you could need. The prices are not that bad.

I just graduated from Shaw University, so let me give you guys some advice before you go to the school. Number one, make sure you get your advisor telephone number, office number, personal number, and the person that is over your advisors number. Make sure you get your career sign off sheet, it will make sure that you are taking the classes that you need in order to graduate. Make sure you keep all your emails and faxes you send to the school. Make sure your financial aid and student loans are properly processed. If you are a cape student( Cape students are students that go to Shaw Universitys off-campus sites that are located in Greenville and in other places in North Carolina) make sure you get financial aids phone number and student accounts phone number. Lastly, make sure you know what your financial aid and student loans are going towards. If you do all of this, you will have an easier time at this college. Also Shaw University is a private college so theyre a little bit more expensive.

If I could give this school less than a star I would. Shaw is the worst school I have ever been to! The school itself is disgusting and not taken care of, they dont care at all about their students and make everyones life a living hell, the staff is incapable of doing their jobs in any timely matter and are not willing to help you with anything. Ive never had a more worse experience anywhere than I did at Shaw. Save yourself the trouble and never go here.

This is one of the worst HBCUs in the country. There are students at this school who cant even speak proper English. Its amazing some people consider a school prestigious that has an average ACT of 15. Check actual college sites, not Googles reviews.

All day but, anything worth doing takes dedication,effort, and focus! Me and the Mrs with our college bound son, Omar. God is good!

I have had the honor to attend two HBCUs and two majority schools and my experience at Shaw was the best of a lifetime. I was fortunate enough to attend at a time where it was simply magical. The students were warm in conversations and caring of each other. The faculty and staff cared and the atsmosphere was like family. Truly a highlight in my life with lifelong friends.

One of the GREATEST HBCU ever!

This school is absolutely terrible! I didn’t even last a month at this school. They counselors are messy, the dorms and bathrooms are disgusting. One minute they would tell me everything was fine then the next minute someone telling me there is something wrong with my financial aid. So unorganized! I’m glad I got out of there, I will not recommend this school to anybody.

This is my daughter first year here at shaw. And I wouldnt recommend for anyone to attend this college. We plan for her to finish out her first semester and then leave.. The dorm that they have the freshman staying in should be shut down by the fire department.. The bathroom is not clean

What a wonderful labor day weekend at Shaw University. Will be visiting again real soon.

I wish I could wipe this school out my enitre educational history. I have been trying to get in touch with someone from A/R for days now to get a bogus hold removed from my account so they can release my transcript. I have left voicemails and emails.

This place is legit trash this is my first year here and they are constantly asking for money non stop if your balance isnt paid you legit cant eat and shaw cant do that nothing here works this place is un organized and very disfunctional
