What a wonderful, hidden gem. I had the best first experience here at the Hop Yard this evening. The staff tonight were so welcoming, I felt like I had been there a numb of times. I cant wait to come back! Great beer, stimulating conversation, did I mention beer? :D

Great music! I just moved here from Salisbury, NC. This is my favorite spot now!

We stumbled upon this establishment while looking for music bingo and stayed for a few drinks.Tucked away in a small strip mall, they serve a good selection of beer on draft, not much in terms of liquor and even less for wine. Of course I would have expected this, being they specialize in beer, I was able to find one very nice porter on draft.Unfortunately one thing do not offer is a decent level of customer service. A short lived blank stare is considered a greeting, however; if you dont get your words out quickly, plan on waiting a while longer to order a drink or even ask a question. Based on my experience each question I asked was met with a sarcastic answer, which led me to the conclusion that they dont care for questions. I felt like I was in a Seinfeld episode, keep to yourself or NO SOUP FOR YOU!There are plenty of other small craft beer shops throughout Raleigh that offer much more in terms of personality and customer service!Cheers!

Great little bottle shop. Was especially happy with their dark beer selection on tap. Overall a small interior but with several tables and bar height options including outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and helpful. There seems to be a many local regulars. Will come again

Good bottle shop but an even better bar. They often host special events and tap takeovers. One can see their draft menu on Untappd app.Limited outdoor seating. Outside food can be eaten on premises.

We enjoy stopping in occasionally to try something new. However, staffing levels have been significantly lower than you would expect, creating long wait times. Two bar tenders would be be a minimum at all times to satisfy your “current” popularity.

One of my favorite craft beer spots in the Triangle. The owners do an amazing job keeping track of whats popular in the craft beer world and are constantly bringing in new and exciting beers to try. They serve wine and liquor too but Ive only focused on the beers when I visit them. Prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent. You get the feeling that the staff really care about your experience and they do their best to guide you to offerings thatll align with your tastes. Lively crowd at times but always a friendly bunch of fellow customers. Keep up the great work!

They win awards for a reason. There is no place in the triangle like it. Owners are great. People are great. Beer is great. If you dont like it, then you dont understand bottle shops and craft beer. I should mention that they have a curated liquor selection as well as wine and prosecco on tap.

All in all, awesome place! Lived in the area for years and only just discovered this shopping center and booze joint. So far, super impressed. Service was great, dude running the place was super chill despite being super busy. Beer was also great, had the Westbrook. Will definitely be coming back

The atmosphere is casual, a knowledgeable and friendly staff can assist you with finding Specific styles of beers, and discuss popular beers. Their tap list has all varieties of beer for you to enjoy, sample before you get a pour of 5, 10, or 16 ounces. I really enjoy my time there. The patrons are so friendly as well.

Fantastic spot. Very friendly folks. I popped in for an IPA, and got to try some of an IPA they had just gotten in, as well as some of a 2yr old aged stout. Ended up buying a can of the IPA on my way out. My favorite Raleigh bottle shop now!

Ive been purchasing beer at this shop for a while now and wanted to add my review. The owners and staff are always extremely helpful and friendly. They have an extensive knowledge of beer styles and specific breweries. The shop offers 18 different beers on tap, which change frequently and always cover a variety of styles. Even more impressive is the huge selection of bottled and canned beers they offer for sale. I never fail to find something new to purchase and try. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who enjoys a quality draft or is searching for something unique and enjoyable.

I visited the hop yard yesterday. It was my first time there. When going to a bottle shop, or any establishment I choose to spend my hard earned money, I expect at LEAST the bare minimum customer service. I’m not asking to have the red carpet rolled out for me, but say hello to people that walk in. I asked a question about a beer, and was met with an attitude. After I thanked the bartender twice for my purchase, I was ignored. Not a “thank you” even after I tipped, which I shouldn’t have for such shoddy service. Items in this shop are extremely pricey too. I was not impressed and the won’t be going back. I’ll keep my service with Hoppy Endings.

A good little neighborhood bottle shop and tap room. The staff varies but is constantly very friendly and usually quite helpful with selecting beers and showing you around the shop. The knowledge of the beers is pretty good and it is always a pleasure having an interesting beer conversation while I shop.

Went here by chance when I needed to pick up beer for a party. There was a local crowd and everyone was friendly, which is always nice. The bartender/(owner?) suggested great beers to me, was friendly, and tentative. Would go back if Im in the area again!

The selection at The Hop Yard is second only to the cool, laid back people who work there. Looking for new things to try? Maybe some stuff thats off the beaten path? Check out The Hop Yard. The people are knowledgable, there are plenty of things on draft to try at the bar in back, and theres a ton of stuff to browse through while you have your drink. Or, if you just want to chill, grab a stool and have a chat with the employees and other patrons.

Great selection. The folks that work there are nice and good at answering questions and guiding you to word interesting beers. My only complaint is that it is often hard to tell how much something is going to cost until you get to the register.

For the size of the store, they have an impressive variety of beer! In refrigerators, on tap and on the shelf! Also a very friendly and helpful staff! They also do a great job of keeping the prices fair and we appreciated that!
