Ive been coming here for a couple years now and I really enjoy it. I mostly come here on weekdays in the evening time. Usually, its a just a few people here and that is one of the many things I enjoy about it. Additionally, Im not a huge beer drinker and very selective about my likes - this bar doesnt mind letting you sample different options until you find the perfect fit. Excellent selection of beers and friendly staff.

Decent selection of craft beers, but Ive had inconsistent service from multiple trips over the past three years and todays visit saw no enforcement of mask wearing from non-seated patrons. There was close to a dozen people standing, away from the bar and tables, without masks and projecting their voices much louder than necessary. For the sake of safety, my wife and I enjoyed our drinks outside and immediately left thereafter. I would recommend coming here on a quiet weekday afternoon but stay away Friday and Saturday until they can be more responsible enforcing safety protocols.

Cool place to hang out and have a beer really laid-back atmosphere music from 6 to 9 every Friday night plus a lot of places to eat in Lafayette Village or crafty beer shop is located!Owner is very knowledgeable and very friendly plus they have outside seating.

I love a good local brewery with a great atmosphere and quality selections of beers. I went on a Sunday afternoon with a few friends; plenty of space and efficient customer service. Very affordable prices as well. I will definitely be enjoying another beer here soon.

We love Kirk and all the amazing beer he curates for his shop. We always stop by for a pint or two or three and pick up some to-go crispies! Totally recommend!

We stopped in for a beer on our way to dinner and was very happy we did.There is a bit of an industrial feel to this shop with a warm and welcoming feel to it as well. The long bar has plenty of seating, we found a comfortable little couch near the entrance to sit at. They have PLENTY of very unique and great tasting beers to choose from, so which ever side of the scale your drinking on I am sure you will find something. They also have a selection of bottled beer on the shelves for sale.I prefer a dark and complicated beer, something that taste like anything but the typical BEER and they had just the thing for me. From founders brewing, it was a flavored stout called KBS and it was ale brewed with chocolate and coffee and aged in bourbon barrels. We purchased the remainder of what they had in stock on the way out.Shortly after we arrived the live music started up, a very talented musician who also had a very good voice and excellent selection of songs he sang.We will be returning very soon.Cheers!

Favorite beer stop in Raleigh. He knows his beer and has most available. Tap selection is exceptional no matter what your taste desires. #1 tap is my go to favorite. #9 is usually my second beer. Sports on the screens and food can be brought in or ordered and brought to you. Noodle place. Its just fun to go.

This was mine and my wifes first trip down to NC from NY. The owner Kirk and a few locals including a co owner from the the restaurant next door Drift Wood made us feel right at home. Anyone in the local area keep supporting this great place, it made our weekend.

Nice bar, friendly people. Selection is equal to your top two grocery store selections plus a few Randies, but they have cold and warm beer selections so your collection doesnt get skunked if you want to hold onto it for a while. They have live music at least 3 times per week. Parking outside is hectic, but theres a decent sized underground parking lot similar to North Hills. Enjoy!

The staff at Crafty (Lafayette Village) is top notch. They are friendly & knowledgeable. I have had the pleasure of experiencing hundreds of new beers here. This place is fantastic. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. The regulars are wonderful, good humored people whom you can easily strike up a conversation. If you are are down to earth and looking for a place to relax and have a nice chat, definitely come here. If there is ever any issue, it’s usually because of obnoxious, self involved customers who don’t frequent the establishment. If you aren’t as such, I highly recommend!!!

Crafty Beer had become my go to bar since moving to Raleigh a few weeks ago. Not only is the beer tasty, but I also have fantastic conversations with the bartenders and other patrons. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and its great trying out new beers with their rotating tap.

I like this place. They have a really good variety of craft beer from local and National sources. The people are usually pretty helpful and really try to be friendly. I would suggest checking back often because they get new beers in all the time and have rotating taps at the bar.

Such a great place to hang out to have a quality beer. The owners Wendy and Glen are so special and just a pleasure to be around. Super nice with a touch a pure wonderful customer service. Love these clowns and the beers they serve. Seriously. Theyll know you by name if you give them a chance. You can bring in your own food (or order some) and just enjoy the delish libations!

I absolutely love this place. The taps are always changing, always have a sour on top and their off the wall selection is amazing as well. The prices and the quality of service is what keeps me coming back.

Love this place. Always a friendly crowd inside, the selection is great and ever-changing, the folks who own/manage the place are so accommodating, and the location is perfect. Grab a beer inside, take one to the plazas common area outside, accompany it with some food nearby -- awesome. The bar was packed with no social distancing and the bartender wasnt wearing a mask either. I personally wont be returning!

So, I went to Crafty Beer Shop tonight. All was good until bartender started getting cozy with some guy who came in and stopped taking orders. We tried repeatedly to get her attention so we could order another beer. No dice. Finally, when we shouted Hey, wed like to order., she pulled herself begrudgingly away from this guy only to tell us we were cut off. Of course, she was happy to give us the second beer of the night, but told us we were cut off because we bothered her to order after trying repeatedly to get her attention away from said guy whom she seemed to have an attraction to. We were really into this place until this incident. Now we feel the bartender is putting her personal agenda in front of customer service. Were sad to see what could have been a great place done in by a bartender having a prolonged conversation with some guy and not waiting on paying customers who dained to try to get her attention just to get beer.

Went to Oktoberfest 2019 in the Village and enjoyed the Crafty Beer Shop. Loved their selection on tap, the cozy atmosphere and great staff.

Owner is usually always there and has a nice selection of brews. Great staff and prices. Love the 10oz size.

Of all the beer stores around, this is one of the worst. If I ever have a beer in mind that has recently been release, they dont have it yet. When I look at the draft list Ive never noticed something that I was eager to have. If you are particular about the beer you are looking for, this is probably not the stop for you. Head over to Bottle Rev 3 which isnt too far away.

Decent atmosphere, nice people, but overpriced beer only sold by the bottle no six-pack selections.

After one visit, being served beer in that filthy glass, I have no reason to ever return. I have friends who like it here but I wont be meeting them here.
