The BYU Cell Phone Office is amazing! Their prices on phone plans and phones are unbeatable. They also make managing your plans very easy. The staff are also exceptional. They dont try to sell you anything extra. They just want to provide the best service possible which they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
I love having a plan and service through the BYU Cell Phone office. I never have anything to worry about. Billing is quick and painless, when I call in with a question, I talk to a real live person, not a robot, and my questions are always answered efficiently. I also like the blue Y suckers they give out at their front desk :)

Every time I have called, the staff has been very helpful and accommodating. Sometimes they can be difficult to get a hold of during peak business hours but that is normal for most businesses. I ordered a new phone on Monday and it was literally overnighted to me and I live in Florida. Transferring service was extremely easy and the whole process is streamlined, despite COVID-19 restrictions.

The BYU Cell phone office has always been extremely helpful for me! They are quick to respond to emails and reply with good information. The last time I went into the office, it was really clean and the person I worked with was really helpful! The other thing I really appreciated is that they were efficient. I told him why I was there, he took care of what I needed and got me out of there in a good amount of time.

It has been a frustrating couple of months trying to get my son’s phone to work. We switched from Sprint to AT&T and three of us purchased new phones but I transferred my old phone to my son. The phone calls and text worked but we were never able to get the data working. We had called several times and were told that the phone was unlocked and should work, however until today we still had no data. I spoke with Emma at the BYU Cell Phone office yesterday and she was amazing!! She was finally able to figure out that the phone was not unlocked. I went into the office this morning and she was able to help us get it corrected and working. I really appreciate her kindness, patience and willingness to go the extra mile to help me. Although the overall experience was frustrating she ended my experience on a positive note. Thank you!!
These guys are great. They have been helpful in a variety of questions and issues and have always come through with flying colors. I brought a phone from another system and had an issue with plan type and using my current cellphone. BYU Cell Phone folks flawlessly stepped up to the challenge and solved it immediately. Whether you go into the office or in person, the BYU Cell Phone Office can always answer your questions and help you with whatever you needed. Its easy to setup new lines or get explanations on how international plans work for traveling. If you ever have questions, dont hesitate to call. Phones will take a couple days to order because all phones are ordered on the spot--though they do have some older phones too if you dont mind having an order phone and want to save some money. Just ask them what they have available.
The BYU Cell Phone office has friendly and helpful staff, solid pricing, and zero pressure sales. It is easily the best cell phone buying experience I have ever had. Unlike every other cell phone store ever, I felt like they had my best interests at heart. I never felt like a check mark on someones sales goal sheet. One of the employees took some extra time to help my Grandma set up her new phone, they were very helpful, kind and very patient while they walked her through the process.

Its been 425 nights since I was startle awake in cold sweats remembering my visits to Verizon or Sprint stores trying to get some help! With the BYU Cell Phone Office I have never had to deal with a salesperson, only educated helpful, and eager student professionals that are willing and capable of helping me solve my problem. Last week I walked in, sat down immediately, and got my issue resolved without a hitch. And made it in time to go play pickle ball. Couldnt praise the Cell Phone Office enough! 10/10 would highly recommend.
Generally unknowable, difficult getting information from.Very concerned about their ability to process orders. Today, I received a message that my phone would arrive early; however, after showing up I learned that that my phone wasnt there after walking there with a slipped disk in my back.Never answer their phones. When Ive called and I have reached people, my experiences havent went well. Utah has a customer hostel attitude. I think this place reinforces this idea for me.
My husband and I are on the AT&T plan and it is a super good rate!!! We get great service too. I have had no complaints.
I always have a great experience when I visit the BYU Cell Phone Office. I’ve managed my families plan through this office for about 7 years now and I’ve never had any issues. I get my phones fast, and really can’t ever think of a time there was a delay, or any problems. My family’s lines have sporadic contract renewals so I’m always here maybe every 6 months for renewals and I’m hoping they continue the great customer service I’ve always had.

I tried ording a new cell phone and got confused with the online site. I called the BYU Cell Phone Office and they walked me through the problem I was having. I was finally able to order a new phone. Once it came in (which was sooner than I thought it would) they sent me a email. It was so nice working with them.
It can be challenging to get a hold of the staff by phone. Sometimes it feels impossible. But once you do, they are usually pretty quick. I wish they would have some sort of a chat/messaging service. Right now they only have phone and email.
I moved onto a plan here with my family. Very smooth and easy process. Also amazing prices! I can tell they have improved there website a lot lately. Hopefully it just keeps getting better.
I have been a customer for over 3 years. It seems their service has improved and they continue to provide the best value I have been able to find anywhere for my cell phone plans. They used to not be good about replying to their emails but it seems they have fixed this because the last couple of times I called in I received a follow-up email as promised
As an FTE employee, I have worked with the cell phone office a number of times, and they are always so helpful and quick to respond to any concerns or questions I have – even when I am traveling for work and need things addressed urgently.
Had to transfer several lines from two different plans and put one on a department-paid plan and the others on a personal plan. It was a little hectic, and our previous carriers made it difficult, but the cell phone office walked me through all the steps I would have to do and helped at each step.

We have been needing to transfer service and the whole process has been a nightmare. One, they never answer the phones. Two, they very rarely respond to emails. So really, the only way to talk with someone is to go in personally, which weve done numerous times in the last two days. And since everyone is doing that, the wait is forever to talk to someone. We have received different information from multiple people on what to do; all that information has been incorrect concerning what we need to do to transfer service. Finally, someone recognized what has been going wrong and has said we will get an email with detailed instructions. We have been waiting half the day and that email has yet to arrive. Now we have Verizon calling us to let us know that the information they received from the BYU Cell Phone Office is incorrect. Point being, dont get a cell phone from the BYU Cell Phone Office.
I have had great experience after great experience working with the cell phone office. I have 9 phone lines through the BYU Cell Phone Office and every time I have a need or question they have been very helpful and responsive.

Customer service from the BYU cell phone office has been outstanding!Unlike most cell phone companies, when you call them, you actually talk to a human being. Its like a weird flashback to the 80s when companies had that silly notion that customer service was about helping the customer, not monetizing them. Another thing thats shocking after dealing with other cell phone companies is that the people you talk to at the BYU cell phone office actually know what they are doing. Its downright freaky!The plan you get if you are BYU faculty or an employee is excellent.As for the Sprint network, well, lets be honest, its dreadful. I see around 5-10 times better data speed on AT&T. Even Verizon is better.

The employees clearly are not motivated to be helpful. Maybe its the price we have to pay for getting cheap cell phone service.
I have worked with this cell phone office for many years while I was working on campus. I continue to work with them now as a retiree. They have always been prompt to help with any questions or issues I have.
Is it possible to give no stars? Id describe the customer service as terrible, but that presumes there is customer service, which there is not. Every time I need I have to interact with them for anything I know that I better plan on wasted hours walking to the cell phone office.Biggest complaint:They NEVER answer the phone! It rings, and rings, and rings, and nothing. Ive called the office 20 times today at different times during the day and still no one has answered. They claim to be busy, which is certainly true, but they do not have people in the office speaking with them every hour of the day. Coincidence that every time I call every single one of the employees is meeting with someone face-to-face? Ive been in the office in the past when I was the only person being serviced, and there were two different employees sitting in the office talking about dates, while the phone rang and rang...Second biggest complaint:Every time Ive ordered a phone for myself or someone in my family, theyve told me that when the phone comes in theyll let me know. That has never happened. I only find out when I make an effort (since calling doesnt work, that usually means stopping my work to walk to the office and ask, all so I dont interrupt the date talk...). Shoot, most my communication attempts are to determine whether or not my phone has arrived. If theyd follow through with their initial commitment to letting me know when my phone arrives, I wouldnt even be trying to get ahold of them-thered be no need.I get it...these are student employees. However, theyre suppose to be providing a service, and theyre not.
