The guy that checked me out keep pushing me to sign up for the power plus program even after I said do multiple times. I live about 100 miles from a gamestop. I only visit one once or twice a year. I explained this but he keep pushing. Wouldnt recommend this location.

Not really much here in the way of discounted games like before were they would have bins in the front of the store of discounted games but thats probally due to Covid-19
They had no systems to buy in stock. I understand there isnt much they could do but it did make me travel further to a different store. All the staff were extremely friendly though.

Gamestop is a dying out 90s game exchange style. Its good for some things but all in all digital is gonna kill gamestop. I give it 3 more years. Edit: inserts foot in mouth.

I went in to trade in some games and there was only one employee working. I waited in line for over a half hour, and when it was my turn to be helped, he told me he couldnt help me trade anything in because it was past 9. He saw me with my games in line, I wouldnt have been upset if he would have let me know instead of making me wait and wasting my time. Definitely wont be going back to this location any time soon.

I have only been to this GameStop once before, as it is quite far from my house. Both times I went were because they had something in stock that was hard to find. I had placed an online hold for an item and it should have been a quick in and out trip, but do to there only being one employee, it took quite longer. The employee (who I believe said he was a manger) was talking to another customer, who seemed like another employee, so they talked for a while. He also seemed like answering the phone was more important than helping the customers already in the store. He probably answered 20 calls in the time I was there and most of them were asking about the Nintendo Switch, which was out of stock everywhere, so they could have made a recording and avoided most of the calls. I did get the item I wanted, but it was a much longer trip than anticipated.

Unlike most gamestops Ive been to, this one has amazing and friendly customer service. I walked in wearing a HammerFall t-shirt and one of the employees complimented it and made it the best experience in any game store ive ever had. Rock on! and game on! if hes reading this right now, dude deserves a promotion.

You should always try the disk out right when you get home. If the game doesnt work they have a money back guarantee(see website for details). Love the store!

We needed to exchange an Christmas gift and the employee cashier was a pleasure to work it out with- he was understanding, knowledgeable, flexible with our need to have a little time to figure out what we wanted and efficient. It was a good experience for our little family.
If you want awful service then this is the place. Guys working here act like 12 year old boys stuck in a 35 year olds body. I asked if I could ask a question on a promo and the guy was like, “What?” Almost as if he was annoyed that I was going to ask him something because he gets it all the time from living in his mom’s basement. I asked him anyway and he gave me a flat out, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Didn’t say anything as my husband was checking out and after an awkward silence he said to me, “I’d have to go look but I have a line.” I replied to him, “It’s fine. You said you didn’t know what I was talking about anyway.” Super awkward. They literally have a huge sign on their forehead that screams, “I don’t want to be here.”

Was looking to buy some non-game products but the exterior was damaged so i asked what the return policy was for product I couldnt see. Basically, their return policy is f-you if you end up with product that was damged by the manufacturer or shipping. It shouldnt be the customers responsibility to eat the cost of defective prodtucts, the store should return it back to the manufacturer.
Weve been coming here for years, definitely not anymore the employee we had was so rude and the prices arent so low anymore the points never are there and we are always there spending money, no more !

I like this GameStop more than the other one in Orem. Some employees here are helpful, others arent.For example, one employee was engaging and helpful. When the chip in my card had issues (I eventually got it replaced) he found a way for me to buy stuff without it. A different time I came in and the other employee (goatee, red hair) was less inclined to help and lied. He said I couldnt use my card if the chip wasnt working. I said it was possible but he replied that his Manager said that it couldnt be done, even though other employees had done it before and I had literally bought something the day before. He was just being lazy and was disinterested in us buying anything if it meant he had to work more than usual. So he was lying to get out of work.. shame really since the other employees are nice.
As far as Gamestops go, this is a good one. Unlike the University mall, the employees are helpful and friendly. I will drive a little father to give this one my business.

I went there last nigh, I wanted to buy a lunchbox that was in the clearance items, the price tag says 6.50, and went I wanted to pay the lady said it cost 13,00, I told her that it was on sale,but she said that prices went up, and it was not 6.50. I was very disappointed because the tag says 6.50. so I had to say no thanks.

I recently asked an employee Preston a question about pre-orders and he cut me off while speaking, was very rude in his tone, and didnt offer to help me with anything.If you want to shop with GameStop, dont do it here.
Easy, nice, employees are kind, pretty good selection of games for a number of consoles. Ex: PS4, PS3, PS VITA, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, NINTENDO SWITCH, ADVANCED, 2-3DS you get it.
If you see my reviews for springville and Orem Gamestop you’ll see how frustrated and disappointed I was with the lack of knowdlege with how to do trade ins. I came to Provo and Troy and the closing staff did the trade in flawlessly and super fast!! I have regained faith in Gamestop but only at the Provo store. Give Troy a raise or have him train the other stores
One of the worst retail customer service experiences Ive experienced. Never had someone hang up on me repeatedly. This was Sunday Nov.19th at 11:30am. If you are closed dont answer the phone simple as that. No need to be rude to someone trying to give you business.They are notorious for holding items for themselves and not giving it to paying customers. While picking up my PSVR Skyrim bundle. One guy waiting was told sorry, he picked the last one. And she whispered to me, because Im getting the other one!. That doesnt sound like a customer-first business model.
I verified with two employees the time and location of the Arkham Knight pre-order release, and no one ever showed up. No employees, no other fans, no one. Ive had mostly positive or neutral experiences at this store before, I cant imagine what would make them lie to me like that. But this was the one good store, the only GameStop that I was still willing to shop at, after having depressingly typical negative experiences at several others. Now that theyre crossed off the list as well, Im done with this company entirely. Another excellent reason to switch entirely to digital purchasing - thanks for making that decision easier!
Absolute worst customer service at this location, untrained staff with very rude attitude, inventory is not up to date, caused us frustration by how they handled this simple matter, we will not shop at this location ever and we will make sure to share our experience with family and friends .I believe the name of the gentleman who handled my call was draven and he has no business to work in any customer service capacity, absolute garbage.

Bought a used head set here, didnt work, tried to return wouldnt let me ( didnt have a reciept because i wasnt givin one but had a transaction on my banking app) asked them to throw away, refused, rude, standofish, all 4 employees who were in the store with just me. Ill never come back to this store and Id advise you to skip it as well.

We all know when preordering at GameStop, if its collectors editions is a headache and a hassle. Ive been told by workers themselves theyll say theyre sold out of them, so they can buy a few copies to flip on eBay, I went in to pre-order the Power Armor edition of Fallout 76, after a ton of headache and having to call several stores I was a little more than irritated when they told me they sold out, and another gamestop said they had not started selling them anywhere yet. When I went into this GameStop and told them another one said they were getting more shipment I assumed the guys working had lied to me. After retrospect I realized they could have honestly maybe not known they would get more later that day. While I was there I was impatient and infuriated while still trying to be civil, the guys (Draven and Colton) handled me well and were polite if not a little afraid, I had to go back today to get the Beta code and Colton was so fantastic in handling the situation since they hadnt been able to print the codes the day before, and admitted fault to the situation, I apologized how I acted the day prior after. GS as a whole isnt a really good company and getting certain things is a pain, games and systems are going to loose value quickly, so dont expect to get anything from them. What I expect at locations is good customer service, and these two provided that for me, its not always (but sometimes) the employees fault that the company they work for isnt really a good one.

We purchased a PS3 for here a few days ago. It was said to of been inspected, tested, etc. by the associate named Derek. We got it home, and it was completely full of dust. It was obvious it had not been cleaned at all. After cleaning it, we hooked it up, and it worked for about 2 days. It started malfunctioning so badly we HAD to return it. The same associate that inspected it said that was very strange, and he would look into it. He exchanged it for another one that he inspected, got it home, and as soon as I put a disk in it began making a horrible grinding noise like rocks in a tumbler. Please, dont get me wrong, I love gamestop and I have never had any problems like this before. I believe this is the act of some associates and store manager that doesnt care about the systems they are selling people. We will be returning this playstation this afternoon, and will no longer shop to this specific GameStop.As an update, I now officially will not spend any money at any GameStop franchise. Bought two xbox ones about a year and a half ago. One came with Battlefield 1 and the other came with Gears of War 4. Each game was only played once and were in excellent condition. They gave us 80 CENTS for one and 40 CENTS for the other. That is absolutely ridiculous. Even a shady alleyway pawnshop would have offered more. I dont think that even covered the gas required to drive to the store.
I would rather drive 20 minutes to the gamestop in Orem then deal with the customer service here in Provo. They were rude the 10 times I went in there.

On a whim I decided to step foot into a gamestop for the first time in a decade, & had the unpleasant luck of it being this one.I was simply looking for a copy of a few titles that are proving hard to find right now, which they had, but the guy behind the counter around 10:30 am this morning(scraggly beard, overweight guy) was rude as hell to me, & acted as if me asking whether they had something in stock & the price of them was a huge inconvenience to him.Attitude & customer service is ultimately more important then me then price, so I left & have instead bought the games on amazon for a bit more, rather then give my money to a business that employees people with such horrible customer service skills. I find it doubtful I will ever set foot in a gamestop within the next decade again now, as things havnt changed since the last time I went in.So I just got a PS3 for my girlfriend, & a few games for her as an early xmas present. My girlfriend placed a hold on a PS4 game and a controller and got a confirmation email that the items would be held. Later that same day she went in to Gamestop to pay and pick them up, and they had sold the game anyway. I guess Gamestop wants us to take our business elsewhere.

My dad purchased two xboxOne games from this store as a Christmas present. They asked him if he wanted them new or used and he said new. However, the employee told my dad that for one of the games they would have to open it and put the game inside, so the Gamestop employee opened the game. My dad then bought the games, for the new unopened price and gave them to me for Christmas.I do not have an xboxOne, So the day after Christmas I took the games back with the gift receipts, in the exact same condition that my dad purchased them new from. However they would not allow the return of one of the games because it was opened (even though they opened it!) and would only allow the return of the other one for in store credit.In general, they ran a skeezy scam, selling a used game that they knew could not be returned for a new price.
