Just started going here about 3 weeks ago...HAS to be one of few gems in Portsmouth Va. great atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. always a smiling face. not much of a coffee person, but the kicker is they cater too...so the food offerings are amazing....the sandwiches are tsaty and loaded...the pulled pork sandwich (the oink oink) is crazy!!! smoked tender meat, fresh homemade slaw, bacon on a soft brioche roll....i come here at least weekly, next on my to-order list is the situation...ask about it, they have a few Off-Menu secret items and sandwiches...desserts are great too, try the pound cake, and carrot cake!

Good selection of coffee, breakfast and lunch items, and smoothies. Very good drip coffee as well as lattes and specialy coffee drinks. Like the special coffee drinks less sweet?...order 1/2 sweet.. They also sell coffee and gift items that are displayed. Longer hours than many coffee shops which is a plus. Some outside seating as well.

Cutest little coffee shop in downtown Portsmouth! Super cute and quaint place to get a bite to eat and get some great coffee. I was immediately greeted by the barista and she was extremely patient for me so I could find what I wanted. The breakfast burrito was so tasty and the caramochanut iced was so well made with lots of flavor. You feel like home here and it’s a great place to come where they treat you like family. I enjoyed sitting down eating while working on a puzzle. I will definitely come back again! Thank you!

After eating at their restaurant, I hired Tiffany and Lamar from The Coffee Shoppe to cater our churchs womens conference and EVERYONE loved the food. Great folks and delicious food. I highly recommend and look forward to eating at their restaurant again soon.

Tried it for the first time today and im so impressed. The Coffee Shop fosters a friendly and intimate environment with attentive and cheerful servers who make you feel like a friend right off the bat. I ordered a drink special Luck of the Chiarish with irish cream and chai and an egg and cheese bagel. Tasted AMAZING. The bagel was savory and filling and my drink was perfectly cozy for a chilly day. Definitely coming back!!!

They catered a womens conference at my church. The food was there early, was organized well and was amazing! I had the chicken salad on a croissant and it was fresh and moist and the croissant was flakey and soft.

Absolutely delicious breakfast burrito. Have had it 2x, and was great both times. And their espressos? Some of the better ones - not too sweet, not too bitter - and well mixed, so no super sweet at the bottom.

Bagels, croissants, food and coffee were great! So many coffee options to choose from! Will definitely be back any time in the area.

This is by far one of my favorite places to go! My boyfriend and I like to come here often to grab a drink with something to eat and chill out for a bit. The atmosphere is great and the sense of community here is very comforting. They have amazing coffee, food, and a lovely staff who always makes you feel welcome. This cafe is a definitely place youd regret missing out on!

So good! Cute area of Historic Downtown Portsmouth. A ferry ride from Waterside District in Norfolk. Split the Cajun chicken wrap and a warmed up butter cinnamon coffee cake with a friend and it hit the spot.

I normally go to the Coffee Shop every morning to have a cup of coffee and a donutthe staff is very nice and friendly, I would recommend them to anyone.

Not a bad place to get a coffee. Nice environment and has a home style feel to it. Unfortunately, its a bit cramped when sit down seating is inside and makes it a bit hard to move around. I got a hot chocolate and it was a bit underwhelming. Their wasnt a whole lot of flavor in it so that was disappointing. The staff is very friendly and quick with their service and has a great attitude. The outdoor seating is a plus as you get a great view of downtown and relaxed vibe of the area. I would try them again just because the environment they create is very welcoming.

Cute café with varios food and drink options. Food options include soup, wraps, sandwiches and salads. Drinks include Smoothies, Teas, and Coffee or Latte options. Ambiance is very relaxing and a great place to eat outside or inside. Free wifi. Social distancing rules applied and masks were worn by staff. Bartender/Drink connoisseur was very friendly and great conversationalist! Would definitely go again and again and seems to have a very local vibe. Lots of regulares there while I was there. There is even a little reading nook in the shop.

If your looking for a local business to support that is comparable to the green and white coffee spot, this is certainly it. Its small, quaint, offers wifi, the breakfast sandwiches are made to order and you will savor every bite. The only minus is the employees are a bit loud and I had already paid for my orange cranberry muffin before I was told they didnt have anymore. I really didnt want any other type of muffin and had my heart set on the one I selected so that was a disappointment as now I had to select something different it would have been to much of an inconvenience if they just refunded my money

1st the coffee is the perfect starter for your day. From brewed house or flavored coffee to my black eye (level 2 of 3 - on the coffee gitty up offering) - we enjoyed the relaxing outside seating. 2nd - um delish!! Breakfast burrito w a little zing along w an Apple cinnamon coffee cake that “will make you hear voices” - probably angels singing - again YUM. Cozy indoor seating. 3rd and final perk. Came in on my lunch break, and ordered a breakfast burrito and sausage egg and cheese flatbread. When I opened the plastic clam, the sandwich was falling apart. I took the flatbread apart to see what looked like egg patties? There was too much sauce, and the cheese was overly melted. As someone in the service this was highly disappointing. I didn’t even bother with the burrito.

Very cozy shoppe. There was also a mini gallery of local artists paintings that people could purchase ($15 - $35) and a puzzle for people to work on. Very popular during the morning and offers patio seating. Would definitely stop by again, their menu has so many options. Their coffee is also high quality (especially for a small shoppe!). c:

I didn’t get what I ordered specifically through grubhub from your business. I don’t understand if you were currently out of it why wasn’t I just contacted and asked if I wanted a different kind of item? Also I can’t seem to get any kind of phone call answered when I call to speak to someone. We love your food but if we can’t receive the items that we ordered then we won’t be visiting or ordering from your establishment any longer. Especially since I ordered over $20 worth of muffins.

The food is good, the coffee is great but dont try and order them through ubereats because they will forget stuff all the time. I personally ordered from them 3 times. First time, stuff missing. Second time, stuff missing and they claimed to had tried to contact me before the order went out which was false. So as an apology they gave me a $5 in store coupon and a 30% off ubereats coupon. Third order, everything was fine. I go to order something else via the ubereats app and decide to use the 30% coupon. I punch in the code and it says the coupon is invalid. I look the card over and find out it expired back in April 2020. The coupon was given to me this past july 2020. Needless to say I was very upset. Im currently working with ubereats to get a refund of my orders to compensate for the expired coupon I was given.

A smaller coffee shop with a big impact. You can find a Starbucks on every corner, but this here is a golden shop. The coffee tastes great and somehow has that homemade feel to it that you cant get at a large chain coffee shop. The food isnt bad either, and you can grab a quick bite to eat while you meet with someone, get some work done, read a book, or just enjoy some quiet time to yourself. If you feel like grabbing it to go, you can do that too and then take a walk down historic Portsmouth areas and even take an across the water look at the beautiful city of Norfolk.

Love this little coffee shop. Small and relaxed. One of those places that you know the locals like to hang out at. Good music that doesnt try to drown out good conversations. Great selection of food and drinks. Grab a bit to eat or take a coffee to go and walk around the area.

Great place! They participate with GrubHub, which makes things super convenient while youre working. The breakfast sandwiches are very good, very fresh. The coffee was made perfectly, not the standard burnt taste you expect from Wawa and 7-Eleven.

My daughter and I loved the egg sandwiches and smoothies we had here. Its a short walk from the ferry that provides service to Norfolk. What a nice, inexpensive foray into the Hampton Roads greater vicinity.

Great local mom and pop coffe place where patrons can enjoy moist muffins and/or cold or hot drinks. Patrons also have the ability to seat outside, while enjoying fresh cool breeze coming off the nearby water or sit indoors. Parking is not an issue because there are plenty of spots available on the street or a in a garage nearby. Additionally there specialty drinks provide interesting, but tasty mixes. Visit this place and you will not be sorry.

Nice cozy coffee shoppe across the street from the childrens museum. Deducted one star because childrens menu is lacking, considering the location, and particularly lacking in childrens drinks.Add babyccinos to your menu. Its just a small hot chocolate with whipped cream and a marshmallow or two, served in a nice tea cup on a saucer. Set the price at $1.99 and you will sell tons of them.

Great stop for a non-alcoholic type drink. Had an excellent muffin to compliment them.

I try to support local smaller establishments that are in the city that I work & was born in. I hit the Shoppe whenever I can while on a duty day shift. Ive only had the donuts a couple of times but they were delicious. Ive also had the bagel nuts & they were equally delicious. Ive numerous versions of the coffees both hot & cold. They are always a nice pick me up. I know quite a few people like me, in the PFD that do their best to make it into the business. I highly recommend it.

I stop here pretty regularly, and while I tend to stick with my breve latte, they have a large menu, and everything seems good. Adorable location. I love the atmosphere and old world style.
