Probably the slowest Starbuck drive through youll ever be in. Avoid if you can, there are better options.

They were out of certain sizes of cups. They did not offer any solution except to pay for a larger size. If you are out of the cup size I request, you should offer me the larger size that you have for the same price as the smaller one that I requested. Thats basic customer service!

My #1 location! I love the morning crew. I love that they know my drink order. The environment is so friendly and I love the teamwork.

Everyone here is always so friendly, but whoever worked the drive thru this morning (10/10 around 11am) was so sweet that my puppy legit tried to climb over me and out the car window to go to her. She was super chill when my older dog barked a couple times, which was so, so good for him. (He’s a rescue who still, after 4 years, is learning to feel safe and be calm around strangers, so his uneasiness being met with kindness and a pup cup was huge.) I had to drive off pretty quickly, considering that my puppy was two seconds away from launching himself through the drive thru to be with his new best friend, but hopefully she—and her managers—see this and know how much I (and my doggos) appreciated her spirit.

This Starbucks has a good, calm environment and nice employees! They have a drive-thru and offer indoor and outdoor seating. Ill come again :)

I went through yesterday. My order was a simple coffee. I was asked if I wanted coffee in my coffee. Lmao weird question. Hahaha When I received my coffee there was liquid and cream running down the side, which made for a very sticky car ride to a business location I had to go to. The workers are very nice and they do operate quickly. That is why I give 3 stars not 5.

The wait time and service was exceptional. There is always a friendly face at the window no matter what time of day I get coffee. Whenever I drive over to Portsmouth I have to get coffee the staff there are just that good👍

Convenient location but the worker this morning around 7:30 am had an attitude about reloading my starbucks card. This same worker has gotten an attitude with me many times before when I ask to reload which is why I usually go out of way to go to a different starbucks now because I used to go to this one on a daily basis. I shouldnt feel like I am not able to ask someone to do their job. Should hire employees that are friendly!!

It’s a no from me. I go to Starbucks for convenience—there’s nothing convenient about them closing inside and forcing me to sit in a long drive thru for a mobile order. Better off going small and local.

There are two Starbucks close to our place and this is the good one. The staff are always very friendly, its clean and tidy, and the drive-through is fast. Most importantly the beverages are consistently excellent. The one inside Kroger on Fredrick has none of those. This sure is a little further to drive, but absolutely worth it!

Why are people waiting 15-20 mins for a tea or cold brew? Is the manager ever there?

Usually this place is good and fast on service, but usually they have more than one person preparing the bean juice. These 5 stars go out to the girl in makeup with the green braid, who singlehandedly took down a packed drive thru and lobby while her coworkers just stood at their POS and did nothing.

This morning I should have said something. I saw a young lady fixing her hair and started fixing orders. She never washed her hands when she was messing with her hair. The pins on her hair was broken and she laid them on the counter. She should have stepped away to manage her hair. She didnt make my order but I should have said something. Next time, see something, say something.

This SBux does a lot of business. They must keep in mind that to much is given, much is expected. Meaning, do not take it lightly the abundance of SBux followers in your area because there are many local small business options for people to choose. Additionally, people generally patron SBux for the atmosphere and the lounge like experience. The drinks are slightly above average...its coffee. The RONA has forced big box stores, like SBux, to exercise a heightened level of customer service, and I am not certain that this store is hitting the mark now that the atmosphere and experience has been removed. It may sound like I am in my feelings about five days of subpar SBux experiences from the same store, but this is SBux and I expect more. Portsmouth, VA SBux get your game up before folks decide to spend their dollars local.

Never consistent on drink sizes due to caffeine levels ? and the nitro cold brew are just ALL sweet cream. When you ask to remake they give attitudes and this location honestly just sucks with customer service. I order the SAME drink everytime, yet it comes out in different sizes and colors each order.

I go to this place often I have their app and I like saving up all the points so I can get the best free stuff I can. Theyre cheese danishes are amazing and I recommend them to everyone lol. But of course my favorite drink has to be the mocha latte extra shot of espresso.

Ordered my wife oatmeal and it came not hot and stale. Really disappointed with this Starbucks. Never had an issue with oatmeal at any of the other locations.

When I walked in no one spoke. Several people looked up and saw me and said nothing and after i stood in the mobile order section for 3 mins the barista finally said said to a co worker with an attitude she had a mobile order to make and i finally got my drink, but then it super sweet and disgusting. I wont be back anytime soon.

Never a bad experience. Had the Mango Dragonfruit tea - thick and tart. Added sparkling water and it was outstanding. Love the seeds! Reminded me of frog eggs. Pretty cool

This is one of the fastest Starbucks I think I have ever been to. The staff is so happ and chipper (not sure how they do it at 6am, but they do). It is always nice that it is on my way to work.

One of my favorite locations but they always seem to be closed due to power issues which always seems to be when I need some mojo the most (before a test or before duty lol)

I love this Starbucks. I think this Starbucks is the best one in Hampton Roads. Im lucky that it is in my neighborhood!!! The other Starbucks always messes up my orders or does not taste as strong and delicious. And everyone is very friendly especially when they see your face often. 😊

Bad experience made great! Table tipped spilling coffee in my lap...wonderful manager assisted with,cloth towel, remade coffee and sent a lovely piece of banana bread to make up for the spill...everyone at the Effingham St Starbucks is so friendly, efficient and just plain NICE! Stop by when youre in Portsmouth, youll be happy that you did!

Meet Clients there before I retired last August.Now I have an engineering student from TCC that we meet there on Fridays. I keep seeing him after I retired just to have something to do. I have been tutoring him now 3 years. I volunteer my time to make sure he is understanding basic engineering principles before start at ODU next year to major in Mechanical Engineering in Mechanics. Very proud of his A average in engineering at TCC

It took so long to find a great coffee place that was right on the line of Old Towne and I’m so glad I finally did! My bank account isn’t so happy.I love the fact that this SB location is open so early and has the blonde espresso machine! There’s one girl in particular that works the early morning drive through (I haven’t been inside her) that is amazing. She’s sweet, she’s friendly and she is on the ball! She’s never mixed up my orders, made it incorrectly or asked me to repeat myself a few times. Which, unfortunately has happened at this location. I’m also going to be more careful about ordering with the app. If what I want has extras or outside of the standard, I’ll order at the store.I order the same thing every time I go to a Starbucks so I usually know when there isn’t an extra espresso shot in it or the half and half is cream and I can’t rave enough about the super awesome chick with dark hair and glasses!! Thank you!! You make my mornings bearable!
