Thanks to Gary the sound quality in my house dramatically improved. Recently, I purchased an Audion 300B Special edition amp. It replaced my previous 300B amp. I recently decided to purchase a pair of Takatsuki 300B tubes, which are relatively hard to source due to limited production. He rapidly afforded me information about the timeline for ordering these tubes form Japan. Gary from True Audiophile helped me update my setup including selling me things like better speaker wire and record cleaning supplies, but also pointing me to useful tools like speaker floor spikes and the Okki Nokki record cleaning tool. He helped me precisely set up my turntable (see picture). He was eager to discuss the finer points of different brands and styles of these tools and even helped me set up the location of my new speakers for improved sound. Ever clicked “Buy it Now” and hoped a big purchase would turn out okay? Me neither. Yet with these guys, I’m confident you can. I sent off a product availability question on 2 Innuos units, got a prompt reply, and placed my order. I was told my Innuos products would be shipping from Portugal (due to popularity), so I was content to sit tight and wait a week or two to hear anything. Nope. Bought two Innuos items(Zenith and Phoenix reclocker) recently from True Audiophile. The items arrived in excellent shape. They provided great customer support after the sale. I especially was very impressed with customer support from Innuos. I had an issue trying to connect a Chord M- scaler to the Zenith and it turned out that the issue was with the settings in Roon. I have a very modest two-channel, audio only setup and wanted to upgrade my turntable from the vintage hand-me-down Ive used for several years. Im very glad I chose the MoFi Studiodeck through True Audiophile. Even though its one of the lower end turntables in their shop, Gary and the team at True Audiophile never let me feel intimidated, or that the purchase wasnt just as important as those of components 10 to 20X the price of mine. There was always excellent, fast communication when needed, and the free, expert, in-home set-up of my new turntable by Gary was invaluable. Just upgraded to the EAT E-Glo S phono stage and WOW what a difference! Although my analog system was pretty good with a previous phono (PS Audio NuWave) which was very quiet and clear sounding there was something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on.So, I decided to give the guys here at Trueaudiophile a call. After going over with them about my system, they advised me to upgrade my phono stage and since the E-Glo S looked great and fit my budget I decided to order one.As soon as it arrived I unpacked it and plugged it in to give it a listen. Well I gotta say, right away I realized what was missing. MUSICALITY!That’s the only word I can come up with to describe the difference. The music just sounded more real. Everything sounded more pleasing and fluid and accurate as though each note was effortlessly flowing into and around the room. It made me feel as though I was right there hearing things live in concert. Every song is much more engaging and keeps me in my listening chair with more excitement hearing things the way they were meant to be heard. I dont have the financial means to afford some of the higher end audiophile gear that Gary offers, unfortunately, but Gary was never condescending or pressuring to buy something way out of my limits. Instead, he sourced great quality items for me that fit his strict parameters of quality sound from highly reputable companies like MoFi & CA-- and although I still overspent my budget, I couldnt be happier with my new setup.
