Had seen this place on channel 6 news and finally got to try it. I ordered the apple crisp and added toasted pecans, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, made it a baked Alaska and topped it off with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. It was an amazing combo and would highly recommend! This is a great dessert shop with quality ingredients. Canβt wait to come again and try other menu items. 5.0π
Definitely the most unique dessert bar Iβve ever been to. First time Iβve ever seen a baked to order pastry where you whip up your own cookie/crumble batter, add whatever mix-ins you like, baked fresh in a couple of minutes, then toppings such as ice cream on top for extra decadence. The dessert is amazing! Customized baked dessert is the holy grail and canβt believe no one has successfully delivered this concept before. Service is quick and friendly although the location is a little out of the way from downtown but easy enough to reach by public transport.General decor is nice with plenty of seating inside and out. Was able to find seating quickly enough and even found a power outlet nearby to get some extra electrons for those power hungry devices. They even have some board games that you can borrow which was nice.My biggest and only gripe is the price for the dessert itself was quite high for the quantity of food. I finished the dessert in 4 or 5 bites and it cost almost $9 which is one of the highest bite per dollar ratio Iβve ever experienced. I think the price is reasonable if you stay in the cafe for a while and study or play some board games but if youβre taking out or only in for a quick stop, the price was a little too steep to continuously stop by. Still worthwhile to check this place out if youβve never given it a try before.
This place is so fudging good. Luckily, its 15 minutes away from my house or Id be in BIG trouble. The brownie is AMAZING with the baked alaska. I also really like getting their chewy cookie with fruity pebbles and sour patch kids (yes, surprisingly enough its delicious). Chocolate cookie is SO good too and its VEGAN though youd never knownit. But their banana bread with peanut butter chips and ice cream is my favorite so far. Seriously, the best dessert place ever. Staff is genuinely friendly as well. Such a great concept!!
Walked in 4 minutes before they closed and after apologizing profusely, Julie greeted me as though they were just opening. Since it was my first time there, she walked me through each step and offered her opinions. I left 5 minutes later with a delicious treat that absolutely hit the spot. The customer service and quality of the food is amazing. Will definitely be back when Im in town next.
Gourmet cookies/brownies/pastries, infinitely customizable, baked in two minutes. I ordered the chewy cookie (like a traditional chocolate chip cookie base), adding dark chocolate chips and caramel with walnuts. Delicious! The staff is friendly and the environment is cool and relaxed. Be sure to try the nitro cold brew Chai. Overall this place is a Cookie Monster fever dream; highly recommended!
This is such a cool little place with a neat gimmick. reminds me of a frozen yogurt shop but with baked desserts as the base rather than ice cream, and they offer a whole mess of creative and cool topping options. my partner and i visited for portlands dumpling week. this was memozs offering, pictured below. it was very tasty, staff was friendly and helpful, the space was cozy and clean, and they have a nice collection of board games in the corner for patrons (we played a round of yahtzee).the reason for four rather than five stars is the price--these desserts are quite small and can be eaten in five or six bites, and ran nearly $9. we also ordered a mimosa, which was only about 6 oz and $7.50. yes, the quality was good, but i personally probably wont return based on price alone. that said, this seems like a fun family-friendly place that would be great to take kids, or to go for a special occasion. but with so many amazing bakeries and ice cream shops in portland that are cheaper, it might be difficult for memoz to compete.
My family and I absolutely loved this place. Super cute store and location. The staff was friendly and helpful and the dessert presentation was neat and perfect. We usually skip on dessert when we eat out because my Daughter is gluten free but Memoz has satisfying gluten free options that are far from boring and my Daughter was so excited to be able to eat dessert away from our house. They also serve beer. There is something for everyone. We will definitely be back and I urge people to stop by and try it out.
Just checked this place out for the first time, loved it! Amazing build your own dessert treats, fun environment, great employees, and drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) and games to enjoy! Erica was super helpful explaining the whole process and lovely to interact with. Such a fun idea! 100% would recommend for your next date night, girls night, or family night!
Took our daughter here for her birthday and had to come back for more! you will love it!
My nieces had such a great time building their own desserts. Quality ingredients and even better service. The gentleman assisting us was so patient with my little ones. Iβve been raving to my coworkers about this place. Such a great place.
This place is simply delicious!! Custom made treats! See it go into the oven.....a minute and a few seconds later, you get a perfectly warm treat!!Went for my boys 4th bday and he got to make his own cookie! Pretty awesome! Owners provide great service and are very appreciative.
What a fun concept, good service, and even better- very tasty! Apple crisp was delightful with ice cream! And the merengue topping, delicious!
Wow. This place is super yummy! There are tons of options, but dont get overwhelmed. Think of it as a magical place of creation! My partner and I both created delicious treats and played board games for an hour. Its also incredibly affordable! AND they have adult beverages! Perfect date spot. Perfect for kids. Just perfect.
Memoz is so fun AND delicious! And the person who helped my friend and me was super-nice! Even though the build your own dessert is ready in minutes, its encouraged to stay, hang out, and share space. Very sweet, literally and figuratively! So glad its in the neighborhood and I cant wait to go back...
I found this place through Google and didnβt know what it was about until I went in. The concept is innovative and the atmosphere is cheerful. They claim they bake their desserts in two minutes but there was ten people in front of me and the line went all the way to the door. However, the line moved fast and I was able to place my to-go order. What I didnβt know is that I had to wait for a long time after I paid to get that to go order. I was in this place for 30 min. Just for a to-go order that was already made. They have two people putting desserts together and one person tending to drinks, who also needed help opening a bottle. They asked me if I was waiting for something as I stood next to the cash register. I still had to wait. The taste was good, but this is certainly overpriced, considering the portion and the ice cream portion.
Amazing and delicious dessert place. Unique flavors and set up. Fun games too. They always have a few vegan and gluten free options too for those who need it. Only thing that stops me from coming back more often is that its not closer to where I live π«
Such a fun and unique concept! I loved how many options I had to choose from. Not only that but the staff was so incredibly sweet and helpful. If I didnβt already love supporting local businesses, it was so awesome to chat with the owner about how they decided to open Memoz and the concepts behind it. You can tell they really care about the quality of their product and the space they want to provide for their community. We will be back again soon! :)
This place is a real treat. I loved being able to add my own ingredients to my brownie, yet I didnβt have to bake it and it literally came out perfect. Then of course I added Ala Mode Ice Cream and some of that torched whip. They have done a wonderful job providing such a variety of desserts and ingredients. Memoz is the perfect finish to a date night and we take every out of town guest there! I just have the hardest time deciding between the fresh cookies or brownies.
Excellent desert. It is so much more than just an ice cream. Great place to hang out with friends and family. They have some board games too! A must try.
A very nice dessert bar in Portland! I put the bar in quotes to emphasize that you can actually pick and choose what you want to squash your inner demon that craves for the glory of delicious sweetness every hour. They have several different flavors that you can mix and match with tons of other toppings (one of my favorites is with Baked Alaska finish). Everything is made in front of you, and the cooking torch will make you appreciate the food more. Prices are great (aka normal) and the seating is relaxing too. The owners and staff are always super friendly to everyone, which is great.Great location, and just a little bit walk from another cool place (MF Tasty). Highly recommended!
I love Memoz! The desserts are amazing and its such a fun concept. The staff are helpful and fun. Its awesome to have a fun place for kids that also has wine and beer for grownups, too!!
While visiting my son in Portland, we had dessert here. What an incredibly unique idea. The staff was unbelievably friendly, the choices were pretty much infinitesimal, and the Resulting Desert was absolutely amazing!!
Such a great place! There are plenty of options to really customize your dessert and itβs ready in minutes. You could probably go a million times and not have the same exact dessert twice. Plus, the service is always top-notch! Highly recommend!
I love this place. Such a great idea and the people were super friendly and attentive, Especially Erica. Great location as well. Definitely recommend a visit.
Finally got myself over to try Memoz at a coworkerβs recommendation and so glad I did! Went with a group of friends and everyone loved their dessert! Such a creative idea! Custom baked desserts in LITERALLY 2 minutes. Plus ice cream. Plus drinks. Great for bringing out of town era too.
Wow. Found this place by googling βbest dessert in Portlandβ, it did not disappoint.
Visited on Sunday for my first time ever. OUTSTANDING customer service and a DELICIOUS dessert at a reasonable price! Zero complaints!!!! (That doesnt happen very often π)
This is a fantastic locally owned dessert spot. We were so impressed by the service and energy that they put into each sale. The desserts were great. It was a fun outing where we got to be a bit creative, enjoy something new, and taste something truly delicious!
I had it my way! Apple tart with golden raisins and cinnamon chips. I had it baked Alaska style a la mode with toasted cream on the outside. It was really delicious! The coffee was very good as well.
Wonderful! It was great to get something delicious that everyone liked. The staff was super friendly. It was also nice to have outdoor seating so our pets could enjoy the outing with us. Thank you, Memoz! We will be back.
Visited this cute place for the first time yesterday and had an amazing time! The desserts were delicious, and staff super friendly! Highly recommend it.
This is certainly a quaint place that is worth the visit. Having said that I only gave it two stars (I would have given 2 and a half if it had been an option) for this reason. Itβs the ice cream portions. 2 oz of ice cream? Really? I paid an extra TWO DOLLARS for more and there still wasnβt enough to make it through my brownie. If Iβm going to pay $9.00 for a desert than give me some ice cream I say.
Wow. An amazing why didnt I think of that concept. You pick your mix ins to cookie dough, brownie dough, etc and then they have it baked, warm and in your hands in less than 5 minutes. Oh. My. Gawd. And yes, they can deal with food allergies. And yes, they have some savory things too. Just go.
Great customer service! There is a wide selection of choices to choose from which can be daunting. The prices are a bit high for the size but maybe itβs because of the ability to choose what you want to put in your desert. They also have board games you can choose from to play in the store.
This is a place you can go and feel like family, great service and even better deserts!! So many Choices it will leave you wanting to come back to try something else.. I highly recommended #memoz and will be back soon!!
This place is worth stopping by. We live in Beaverton and were craving this place the other night. Hard to find a place that makes the dessert the exact way you want. Its worth going to!
This was a great place to come and discover your artistic baking inspiration. We ordered a pull apart peppery peach alamode dessert. It was yummy, wonderful flavors. The place was fun and a great spot to bring the kids.
Visited this dessert cafe for dumpling week and tried the speciaal and regular menu. Well worth it. Hang out and play games or walk the block to shop nearby stores. Awesome concept and fun for the family.
Amazing new dessert spot. I took my kids and they had so much fun creating their own dessert. We played a board game and enjoyed the chill vibes.
Love this place! Unique desserts and really nice, helpful people. We come here often and love everything weβve tried.
Yeah, itβs THAT good!Start with a base: 3 kinds of cookie dough, or brownie or cobbler or pull apartThen add your mix ins. Tons of choices- every thing from nerds to smoked almonds to bleu cheeseThen add a sauce (3 choices) or ganache or baked Alaska or ice cream (they also have coconut ice cream)Bakes in 2 minutesAbsolutely delicious!Mine was a brownie with dark chocolate, walnuts and orange zestMy friend had a chewy cookie with dark chocolate chips, caramel chips, salt and caramel sauce. The owner was working and was so kind. We got to taste the carrot cake too. He clearly loves his job. Heβs also really aware of dietary restrictions.Thereβs a whole ton of games to play. Itβs a hangout space. Low pressure sales and stay as long as you want. Definitely worth the trip!
OMG What can I say. This place is simply amazing. My friends and I noticed this place, while eating lunch at New Seasons. My fav so far is the Chewy cookie topped w/ baked Alaskan. Weve played some of the games there, and Aaron is so amazing, so welcoming and lots of fun. I cant wait to go back. If you love sweets you have to check this place out :)
The employees were super nice, helped us figure out how we wanted to make our desserts, and made the experience over all very enjoyable!
We keep coming back for more! I have tried 4 different dessert combos at this point and I have not gone wrong yet! Definitely our go to celebration spot!
Had an oatmeal peanut butter cookie with dark chocolate, raisens, and almonds; topped with ice cream. It was ready in 2 minutes, served hot. $6. It was delicious! I will be back.
The most friendly service and the most amazing dessert! Go here now!
Made to order desserts (kinda like Subway for desserts) super fast, super yummy. Erica was super helpful with making suggestions and putting together delish flavors. Get the nitro coffee!
Delicious and decadent... so many choices. Batters, doughs, mix in items, and toppings... its a dessert lovers dream!
This unique dessert and activity totally brightened our day today!!
My son turned me on to this place. Simply amazing desserts. Friendly staff, great service.
WARNING: Once you experience Memoz Dessert Cafe you will be hooked for life back Delicious, Fresh & Unique Desserts in a welcoming environment with amazing staff.
Great selection great friendly staff very clean amazing desserts
Got to sample ton of stuff here. Quite literally you cant go wrong. Let your imagination take off and go nuts! Youll thank me later.
MΓ©mΕz is a very cool idea and well executed, all round. Build your own baked dessert starting with the base batter/dough (brownie, cookie, tart, pull apart, etc), add up to two tablespoons of add-ins (there are a ton of options here) before its baked, hot and ready in minutes. You can top it off with an extra like ice cream, ganache, or baked Alaska. Staff was curteous throughout our visit and especially patient as we were overwhelmed with options the first few minutes. I would liken it to a froyo place with the caveat being that the treats and atmosphere are a bit warmer. Great experience!NOTE: This review is opinion only and not to be taken as statement. Writing this right after enjoying one of their premade options, the Pucker Face, in a tartlet. It was absolutely amazing! Not to mention the service as well, and the entire process of making your own dessert, was fantastic. The process was well streamlined and the options were plentiful. The service was phenomenal, and was very patient as we figured out what we wanted on our orders. I would fully reccomend this place to anyone looking for a great place for desserts!
I had an apple crisp and my partner got banana bread -- both incredible, and made with TLC. I love supporting a local family business like this, and the owners are just as sweet as their desserts.
Delicious and inventive dessert, perfect for date night (especially with the selection of craft beer, wine, hard seltzer). And the friendliest staff in town!
Tasty dessert, a great atmosphere, and most importantly, one of the kindest and most pleasant people ever met!!
Most unique dessert experience i have had in Portland! Amazing staff and outrageous combinations that will leave your tastebuds tickling!
Super friendly staff, almost overwhelming amount of great choices for dessert. Also some of the best hot chocolate Ive ever had and its vegan to boot!
Walking the neighborhood, we stopped for a snack at Memoz. Ordered Apple Crisp, Peppery Peach Pull-apart, & Dark & Smokey Pull-apart. Fun to order, with great & helpful service. All three desserts were soooo good & magically made so fast. Very comfortable setting with many board games to enjoy/relax while eating our treats. We enjoyed a glass of Pinot Noir wine, complementing our pastries. Well be back soon!
Awesome concept. Bake to order. Great taste and great service.
The pull apart is a plenty the creme cheese icing, oh my gosh!
I could not resist there great samples! This is a rely good place to get some dessert and the owner and staff are rely nice.
I loved all the options- best dessert in PDX!
The concept might be interesting but the flavor is at best something you could buy from a box at the store. I would try it for kids but not for adults and not something I would go back to
Great desserts, custom-made to your liking!
The Elvis brownie with baked Alaska was amazing!
Great friendly service and cool idea.
Above and beyond service and great dessert!
Great customer service and even greater dessert
Fun concept, yummy dessert!
Food was so good!
Exceeded our expectations!

It is a delicious and recommendable place, the staff is friendly and the environment is comfortable to work. Desserts are delicious and you can create them to your liking π
