Food is nothing but flavorless, undercooked slop.
Great food great service and reasonable prices!Good job! Keep it up and thank you for everything.
My favorite lunch restaurant. A solid go-to when Im working downtown. Love the Hawaiian Bento and the Bibimbob. Also the udon soup. Chang (owner) has been feeding me well for years . May make it a destination stop now that nobodys working downtown.
Fantastic cookies and excellent citron tea (magic tea)
This the BEST CHICKEN TERIYAKI place around hands down!!!Always great, very friendly and amazing staff!
Not only was the food incredible but surprisingly they have homemade greek baklava as well! Made my night! The brown rice was also cooked perfectly. Fiance says the eel was absolutely delicious..
Great little stop in spot for food, snacks, and fuel in the downtown area. It is reasonably priced and inside (versus a food cart). The staff are very friendly and learn your face fast, which is nice. Their Udon is my favorite of any of the fast stop or cart food downtown to date. Also, their magic tea has saved me many a times in the cold and flu season. Ive even come to get some when i was home sick, just because it helped so much! I miss having them as a local option!!
Had the chicken curry, was good but I wish the curry was stronger to stand up to the beans and corn in the curry
Boiled, overcooked, flavorless. Was very disappointing. The rice was overcooked, and the meat tasted and felt boiled. Boiled chicken, boiled pork. Yuk. Everything tasted like an overcooked mash dish. Veggies were steamed and regular. Just overall not worth the money.
Nice place and great food!
Chang and his sons not only have awesome food (Udon is the best), but 5-star goes to their service and speed.UPDATE (4/19)===========I’ve now been there at least 25 (if not double that), and their service, not only to me, but other customers had been excellent. Will continue to support them.
Asked for curry beef and he came out with beef yakisoba. If you want to call it that. Looked like a pile of old sh*t on top of rice and cabbage. The veggies were ok but the beef if it was that was old, multi colored and way over season.
Best bento in town and very friendly staff. Looking forward to eating here many times to come.
Spicy udon noodle soup all the way. Great value and flavors, fast and friendly service at this popular lunch spot.
Great little tucked away lunch spot - great if you work in the area. Best cookies in all of SW portland.
Fast, friendly service and great value
Very good. so nice food especially Udon soup.
The best spicy chicken.
Staff are friendly, chicken teriyaki is delicious.
It was nice and the salmon teriyaki was delicious
The Salmon Teriyaki Bento is excellent. I will be back.
This is my first time coming, I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento. The chicken was okay except the rice was a little wet which I didnt really like that much. I prefer rice with the grains sticked together, its easier to handle with chopsticks too and taste much better.
They use shellfish in their kimchi! This is my go to for a cheap lunch downtown near work. Recently I went in and got a small bento and kimchi. The bento was bland (for being spicy chicken) but the kimchi sent me to the hospital.Within about 10 minutes of eating it, I developed a serious allergic reaction that sent me to the hospital. It was only when I researched the kimchi (Im not allergic to anything except for shellfish) that I learned they use shrimp paste.Heres the thing, I was willing to let it go and just chalk it up to experience. Except my allergist wanted a list of the ingredients in the kimchi and possibly a sample so we could check it against my panel. All normal right? I had to go to the ER so my actual doctor wanted to know what triggered that visit. So I went in today and asked him for an ingredients list and he was terse at first. He didnt want to give it to me. I asked him if I was going to have to buy some kimchi from him. He was evasive. In the end I had to tell him his food sent me to the hospital to which he responded that I should have told him that I have a shellfish food allergy and seemed annoyed. I finally got my sample and told him that he should probably advertise he uses shellfish. YOU KNOW SO NO ONE ELSE GOES TO THE HOSPITAL.But seriously? In a place that doesnt sell any seafood I should just announce that I have a shellfish allergy. Or how about you post that you use shellfish in your food? Like normal, professional restaurants do.
Terrible customer service. As well as didn’t even have coffee to serve at 11:30am and wouldn’t allow customers to use the restroom. Will not be back again.
Moving November 1 to SW 6th Avenue with the renovation work beginning at the Portland Building.
Just plain nasty food
Great lunch specials.
