What a fantastic experience! We walked in late on a Friday night and were greeted by two joyful humans behind the counter. They were kind and helpful. The ice cream is always good. Get a milkshake! I tried a vegan cherry flavor that was awesome. Thanks Dairy Hill!

Delicious ice cream. I love that they had a few different flavors made with coconut milk. Lots of flavors to choose from overall for ice cream Scoops, plus shakes, sundaes, etc. Prices were reasonable.

Excited to try some vegan ice cream. stopped at the door by some guy saying mask mandate. what madate?? didnt even have any to offer. so we went to Village Ice Cream down the road. They also offer vegan options and will offer you a mask if you dont have one.

We drove a little out of the way to come here for ice cream after a hot day playing at the splash pad and I accidentally dropped mask outside so didn’t have one to wear. I popped my head in to ask if they had any masks since I saw a sign that said “ no mask, no entry” I got a cold no, and no offer to let us call in order or way to pick up sans mask, needless to say the kid were disappointed and I’m just curious, if you’re vaccinated what the big deal?! The place was set up so we’re nowhere near the ice cream and one group allowed at a time, I just think we could have been shown some grace. After all, we are coming out of this pandemic.

I had such a wonderful experience ordering from Dairy Hill Ice Cream. I ordered an ice cream cake with Bordeaux Cherry ice cream and Pistachio Almond ice cream. Both ice creams were delicious and the cake was beautiful. I wasn’t sure about my choice of flavors to combine but it turned out better than I could have imagined and it was the sweetest surprise for my wonderful boyfriend’s birthday. Thank you so much!

Pulled up a couple minutes after close not realizing it was closing and rather than not serving us or begrudgingly serving us, the employees unlocked the door and waved us in to happily take our order without me even asking, I just walked up and pulled on the door. Awesome service!

Nice selection of ice cream flavors with the added benefit of fresh made waffle cones and cookies for ice cream sandwiches. Good sized space so when youre waiting for your order, other customers arent in your way.Prices are a little higher since they are an independent shop and not a chain. But quality of the ice cream easily makes up for the slightly higher price.

Dairy Hill is a solid ice cream with excellent flavor that’s also locally sourced.I recently ordered a quart to-go from them and the process was easy and safe. I did have some trouble completing my purchase online, but I was able to call and have them collect payment over the phone. When I arrived, they had a table set-up at the entrance for keeping everyone safe. All I had to do was mention my order, and then they went and grabbed it, and I was on my way.They were out of a couple flavors with caramel that sounded interesting, but I ended up going with the Mt. Blackberry, which I highly recommend to anyone that likes some fruit flavor in their ice cream. I can’t wait to go back and try some more flavors that I am sure are delicious.

Adorable shop. Theyve made great adjustments to be covid safe. Masks required. Milkshakes made right in front of you and gorgeous ice cream cakes. Fast and friendly service.

I love the new ice cream place in west Linn, it’s a better version of Baskin Robbins, it has good flavors and totally recommend going there.

Everytime I come to visit family in Portland, OR, Dairy Hill is one of my first stops. This place has THE BEST ice cream. Their milkshakes, especially the vanilla, is heavenly. A little pricey for ice cream, so it really is a treat and worth every penny. The customer service is wonderful too!

Were so lucky to have an independent, old school ice cream shop in the area. The people are always super nice and the ice cream delicious.This is a 4.80 review because my only nitpick is a little more flavor rotation would be nice. I realize thats a double-edged sword though, as more rotation means that a rotation might take my favorite flavor out of the mix for a bit. 😬This place rules though, you should definitely check it out!

My favorite local ice cream shop! The staff there are always so friendly and quick. Shop is always kept clean. I’m a regular and the girl there remembers my order. I always recommend this shop to people when they ask me where to go for dessert.

I really liked this ice cream shop. Its a nice, simple little locally owned shop, and as another reviewer noted, it smells really good... due to the fact they make their own waffle cones. I ordered the coffee ice cream cone and it was great! The other flavors I tasted were very good, and they have one of my all-time favorites, pralines and cream, but I didnt get it since I was in a coffee mood. I ended up buying a gift certificate for a Christmas gift. Im sure Ill visit Dairy Hill again.

Dairy Hill is an adorable, old school neighborhood ice cream shop that seems made for tv: high school students serving throngs of folks that have walked from their homes to have a scoop.The ice cream is simple and there are lots of flavors. I loved it as much for the atmosphere as the treats...which is saying something!A small amount of parking is available in front.

Dairy Hill Ice Cream is so delicious and mouth watering!! They have the best Oreo ice cream sandwich!! I got cookie dough ice cream and there was many bites of cookie dough! New favorite ice cream spot!

I love this place. Very unpretentious place and it feels good to support a local Portland institution, because they use Alpenrose ice cream, which is made just up the street. I believe its the only ice cream place in the city that does this. I prefer this place to Salt and Straw any day!

Flavor offerings may not be quite as exotic as some but their ice cream is top quality—shoutout to Alpenrose dairy down the street. Cute space with a familial vibe that highlights the positive aspects of suburban community. Also no line at 8pm on a Saturday, unlike other local shops.While I dont remember specific pricing, I can safely say DH is on the more affordable side. If youre in the market for a tasty and traditional treat, this is the place.

The ice cream and customer service at Dairy Hill are outstanding. This is a great treat for the whole family. I recommend the Nuts for Coconuts and the Salted Caramel Snickerdoodle.

The ice cream is pretty good, its all Umpqua or Alpenrose. Ive been spoiled by other places in Portland and I now expect weird flavors at every ice cream place but you wont find any here. But everything weve had has still been great. I recommend checking out the video store next door while your eating.
