Purchased a pair of regular and sunglasses progressive frames and lenses at the South Portland Maine Store Saturday October 16 2021.The women that helped me was great. Knowledgeable and super polite. She was only filling in at that store for the day due to the staffing shortages as were the other two women working who were also very polite and helpful.Glasses were ready in about 30 minutes!Thanks!

These folks were slammed with customers and handled us all with grace. The phone was ringing, the line was out the door but 3 representatives worked so well to meet everyones needs. Impressive!

Very helpful people that work there and just how quick I got three pair of glasses in under a hour. Didnt have to wait weeks to get them, especially when the wife pair got chewed up by our dog.

I recently just got two pair of glasses and they were done before I got through having lunch! They were really really busy when I went and I was assuming that it was going to be a long process and probably have to go back to pick up my glasses the next day but they everybody worked really well there and got everybody serviced with a smile!

Store is short staffed like many other establishments during this time but this doesnt stop every technician from doing a great job. You can tell they are dedicated to making sure the glasses are what the client needs. I got to witness them troubleshoot an issue with a pair of glasses for a customer and they were working hard to find the problem and make the glasses right. They also are so helpful with making sure the glasses fit well on new or current glasses. Than and the staff do a great job! Thank you for another pair of glasses that I love. I will continue to purchase my prescription glasses from them.

I was told at at first that they would not take my insurance. So I wouldnt call my insurance find out if they were within the network and they were the insurance agency called the South Portland Maine star and then I was able to get my glasses but it took a while because other insurance thanks I had to spend like 3 hours there and it shouldnt have taken me more than a couple of hours

I have been using eyemart express for years. Yes you might find cheaper glasses online, but you won’t come close to their level of customer service. Which is exactly why I continue to go back.Today, Brian helped me at the South Portland location. He was professional, fast, funny and made the experience that much better. All around experience will lead me to continue to buy in store, and ignore competitive pricing from a website.

Went over on 12/12/2020 was there at opening 9am. There was literally 1 guy to sell and 1 guy to clean and put all of the glasses back! One would think Sat would be the busiest day of the week, so why would you not schedule as such. Kudos to these two gentlemen who never complained and placed the customer first! They need a raise doing the work of four people!The lab was on point as well getting both pair of glasses out in a little over an hour. My two stars are for horrible staffing and management not a reflection on the workers!

I was pleased with the affordable selection of frames eyemart Express had to offer. Joe Helped me choose the right size frames and worked with me to get the best deal possible. I received a text the next day saying one pair of my glasses were ready. (I needed them quickly because my old glasses were broken.) Young man who helped us had, at times, his mask covering mouth only and not his nose and mouth. There was quite a bit of manual paper work and manual signatures. I hear that restaurants in UK have bar code on tables that you scan with your cellphone to access menu electronically to avoid touching paper menu, yet we in the States, it seems that we havent adjusted any of our old processes to acommodate for the new covid era. Long manual process that required 3 signatures and cards exchange including credit card and insurance cards. This is last decade process design and certainly not 2020. Thanks

My son had used the store for purely economic reasons, 2 pair for $80. Going in I thought it might be run of the mill. My selection was custom safety glasses, but noted a wide array from cheap to the high end brands. The staff worked diligently, carefully, and were cordial too. I couldnt think of anything to improve.

My experience was a very positive one. I was concerned about going with the COVID-19 stuff. I went on the Eyemart Express Website to see how they were handling COVID-19 in the store. I felt very confident after reading it and upon arriving at Eyemart Express and watching what was going on inside. My optician was very thorough in cleaning and disinfecting the equipment he used, etc. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And the price is right as always.

Fast service! If you have single vision glasses you’ll get them in an hour. Friendly staff at every encounter. Great location right across from the mall. You can go to the mall or get something to eat while you wait. You will get a text when your glasses are ready, they will call you if you don’t come get them.

We went on a Saturday and the store was quite busy but the staff was very friendly and efficient. My son and I both needed specs and worked with Brian. He may have been the manager but had the attitude and pride as if his name was on the sign. Super helpful explaining my insurance benefits and how to maximize them. Was patient while we made selections and was able to simultaneously assist other customers without making us feel like we were being neglected. Great job!

They had my progressive lenses ready in 85 minutes. T.J. was very good to do business with. Professional and fun. I really like my new glasses. Got a second pair free and they made the them sunglasses. I dont know why anyone would go somewhere else. With eye-med it cost me just about $100. People should check this place out before they buy anywhere else. Thanks eye-med crew. 🙂

We were very impressed with Eyemart express. They had a huge selection of glasses to choose from and at a very reasonable price point. They were having a special and I got two complete pairs of glasses, I really liked for about $160! I had gone to the mall prior and all the glasses that looked good on me were 250-400$ JUST the frames!!!! I considered paying that, but then I decided to check out the eyemart express and I am glad I did.

I stopped in quickly for a minor repair to a pair of glasses and the associate who helped me was extremely courteous and pleasant to work with, despite the fact that I hadnt purchased the frames there. The repair was made quickly and efficiently and I was very pleased with the results. Definitely recommend!

I got to pairs of glasses for a decent price. They put the lens in, in house so that was great! I didn’t have to wait a weak for a new pair since my old ones were annoying scratched in my line of sight. Will definitely go here again!

My expectations were low, but these guys were wonderful. We had to wait a bit to get seen as they were busy, but once we were in they were professional and helpful. It was my sons first time getting glasses and the technician was friendly and made him feel comfortable. We went to get some lunch while they were making the glasses and both pairs were ready in under an hour. Overall a very positive experience all around!

Great expierance in the store. The whole process was quick and pain less. I had my own script from my doctor and shoped online. Only 4 stars because they did not have the safety frams I found on their web site.

They were super helpful and came to me right away to assist me. They helped me find the perfect lenses and even looked up different colors for me. They helped me find similar lenses that were a better fit. Very friendly and caring workers. I was able to get just what I needed and in a quick time.

After making his decisions, we left to get lunch and his new glasses were ready before we finished our meal. And the eye doctor next door had seen us as a walk-in appointment that morning...very convenient to get his new glasses that same day! Will definitely get glasses here again.

I was absolutely blown away by Bryans care and customer service! He should absolutely be the company standard! He was kind, funny, and knowledgable about all the frames, including helping us find a pair that actually fit my three year old face! I lost my primary pair of glasses (dont judge - I have dogs). After looking for a week, I couldnt do without any longer and went to EyeMart Express in South Portland for a QUICK, CHEAP pair of glasses to get me by until I found or replaced the lost pair. Mission accomplished. Good Frames, inexpensive lenses provided quickly. These are plastic lenses with no bells or whistles (no scratch resistance, shatter resistance, UV protection, color changes, glare resistance) - but they are progressives and cost about $100. I also found frames that I liked as well or better than my originals, and ordered them with all the bells and whistles... 2-3 weeks. Both pairs for much less than paid for my original glasses. I agree with other reviewers that the Customer process could be improved, which I think would increase their base and profitability - but everyone I dealt with was professional and nice. Overall, very good experience.

My RX changes and I get a new pair of glasses almost every year. This particular time 2/09/19, the customer service was totally amazing. It was busy, and I was not the ideal customer - I had to split my payment between two cards. Joe was so accommodating and just overall so pleasant and very knowledgeable about the different options available. I would definitely recommend eyemart Express if you buy glasses often and have a tight budget.

I stopped by for an adjustment as my glasses one side was to tight. It was busy I signed and waited for my turn. After explaining my need The person that assisted me with the adjustment took my glasses to make adjustments yelled across the sales floor “ when did you buy these”? I replied 31/2 months ago, his reply was “ you do know that fittings should be done sooner you are way past that time” I felt embarrassed as the reason for the need was I had gained a little weight making the glasses feel a bit tight. The guy bent the left side only and rushed me, I have transitional lenses and if the don’t sit right and are out of adjustment, it makes it difficult to wear them for there intended purpose. Not taken care of after the purchase.....not a good experience at all. The glasses still adjustment....

I went to eye mart for my first pair of glasses! The customer service was awesome. I was well taking care of and their selection is great ! Very cute frames! Will come back again.

The customer service is good but these single vision glasses are unwearable. I’m just marginally nearsighted but these glasses make the whole room feel tilted like I’m walking up hill. Same as if standing at the kitchen counter it appears tilted like everything’s going to roll off. Almost fell down this morning walking across the room. They gave me a massive headache. I’ll be looking for a refund.

I am truly impressed with the quality of these glasses vs. the low price point for two pairs. Thinking back to two years ago when I purchased glasses last and $170 was paid for by the Lions Club and another $80 was paid by me, for glasses that I just started wearing the beginning of this year. The progressives were difficult to use. I had to keep bobbing my head up and down (anyone watching me might think I was trying to bob for apples). I only had to have minor adjustments done to one pair and the other was perfect. How’s that for on point. Very happy, indeed.

When I arrived it was super busy and others were irritated with the long wait. I at one point went outside and decided to go back in and ended up being the last to be served. Thankfully I went back in, I was not only shown new frames but from the time we sat down to go over my situation to walking out the door with two new pairs of glasses, was 15-20 min! The lady saw my prescription and said it wouldnt take her long to get them done so I didnt have to go back another day. Glad I waited!

Initial experience was good- the selection for the cheaper frames could have been bigger. The next two times on a Friday and a Tuesday there were only two people working the floor and I had to wait over 45 minutes for service. The person fitting my glasses was not good at it- after two tries Im going to my usual opticians to get them done right. Next time Ill spend the extra money.

The employees here are fantastic. Was in a pinch and needed a pair of glasses to use while waiting for my contacts to come in. Got to the store around 6:20 PM they helped me pick 2 pairs that would work for the time being within my budget and got me set up with an account and glasses made and ready to use by 7:05 PM. Cant beat that!
