By far our favorite coffee stop in Portland when visiting. They’re baristas are always so helpful. I was able to get a gift card for friends to try them and my car, full of picky teenagers, drove away very happy with their choices.Thank you Human beings!😉

Regular coffee want that good. Human bean is trying to be Dutch Brothers, but Im looking for the opposite.

I ordered espresso with cream but they added sweetener without asking. Ive had this problem before, mostly at fast food places. I drank mine anyhow because I didnt want to go back, but my husband actually threw away his chai because it was so sweet. I dont know if this location makes things sweeter, or if this is standard, but I dont care to find out, so hopefully Ill never be in a place without lots of coffee stands

Dropped my husband off at the airport early this morning and this stand was the only place open at 5 in the morning! The girl working was so cheerful and kind. Best customer service I’ve seen in awhile, will definitely be back!

I found my new work spot!Lots of comfortable seating, menu full of coffee, lattes and smoothies, and super nice employees. I ordered a smoothie, and its really tasty.Theres a parking lot and a drive thru. Its also open late, which is pretty cool!

Friendly staff and very helpful with drink suggestions. Prices are better than Starbucks price per ounce. They also offer more flavors and a wider variety. If they can make it regular they can make it sugarfree as well.

Great coffee, friendly staff, etc. But, very hard to relax with a cup of coffee inside, or to have a conversation with someone, because the coffee machines, foamers, etc are very, very loud, and the walls and floor do not have coverings that absorb the sound.

The staff were friendly and we were very happy with our drinks. It was my first visit to a Human Bean shop. So I was caught a little of gaurd by some of the language I.e. grinita instead of a frappe.

Come here if you want good coffee and good service.

Coffee here is good and so are the gals working there! I like the precautions they are taking for patrons, theyre always wiping and cleaning before and after you get to the window. I love their app, sooo many specials, coupons and discounts. They also support many community efforts with corresponding specials - way better coffee and service than other coffee chains!

Ive never had human bean coffee before. Ive had Starbucks and compared to Starbucks which is very bitter and acity. the human being is like drinking ambrosia it was very good

Ive missed coming here since we moved to a different part of town last year. Happened to be driving by this past weekend and instantly wanted a peppermint mocha. When I handed over my old stamp card for another stamp, the lovely barista was so saddened to break the news to me that they stopped redeeming stamp cards. No worries, it had been a year since I had gone there. She was so nice and considerate about it that she gave me my drink for free and instructed me on how I could sign up for their new app to earn rewards.What fantastic customer service! Though its no longer super convenient for me to pop by for a delicious coffee now and then, Im certainly going to make a greater effort to make it to that part of town. She was friendly, kind, professional and even chatted us up about our dogs in the back seat. And, the peppermint mocha was sensational! Really hit the spot! Thanks again!

Great coffee, fast drive through, staff is always great!

Very clean, plenty of seating, and plenty of parking! Great place to study, as Ive been to every coffee shop on the East-side and I always struggle with finding a parking spot and grabbing an open seat inside where I can geek out on my laptop. The staff is super friendly, and the delicious coffee bean placed on every drink is the perfect cherry on top!

Fast and friendly service. Quality food and drink at a great price. Chill cafe vibes despite being at the corner of a busy city street like Sandy. I also love the take a note project display by the door. What a great idea! All around sweet place.

The barista was friendly. The decor was clean and cozy. The bathrooms were immaculate. I got the big hibiscus tea, iced, and I really enjoyed it.

The women here are wonderful. The coffee is great. Not many places have a drive thru that arent Starbucks. This place is better.

I have been coming here for a long time. Always love the service and the coffee, of course. But I will not be back until the pandemic is over. I went this morning and all three employees had their masks down uncovering their noses and one even had her mouth uncovered. Its disrespectful to your customers. Im a server at a busy pub, if I can wear my mask properly for eight hours while running around, you guys can too.

If you want an expensive at home coffee this is your spot no thank you!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee shop. The barista we had this morning was so nice(they always are) but we felt a bit of extra holiday love from her this morning. She was sweet about our dog barking in the back demanding attention. Got the cocoa and a bag of the chocolate covered espresso beans. Both are phenomenal and I’d say this location is absolutely worth a stop.

Excellent coffee shop in the Hollywood neighborhood (and probably other locations in Portland too, though I havent looked that up). Its a franchise started in southern Oregon. This one has a pleasant staff, speedy service, and reasonable prices.

The Human Bean is a great addition to the Hollywood neighborhood. The baristas are the friendliest around! They have lots of alternative milk choices. The service is always very quick and with a smile:) They dont have you sign when you check out so make sure to ask them to add a tip onto your order (if you want to leave one.) My daughter really enjoys their mango smooties. With each drink you get a yummy chocolate covered espresso bean!!

UPDATE: The District Manager Ally got in touch with me and extended her apologies for my experience. I am very thankful. She was very kind and understanding. She set-up for me to get a gift card. I went in today and met Haley- the store Manager. She was amazing! I was on my way in no time with my Decaf Coffee! Thank you for your exceptional service!

Amazing customer service and great coffee

I came in on the evening of 10/13/19 and got a great decaf soy latte served in one of their mugs by an attentive, friendly barista. I came in the morning of 10/14/19, ordered a regular soy latte, same size as last night, and it was watery as hell, served in a paper cup. I posted that review on Google maps, and their management contacted me to resolve the issue. I appreciate the quick, quality customer service. Im upping my review to 4 stars and hope to experience more cups like last nights!

Their latte is so good and if course, I love the bean. Staff are so friendly too!!

The guy who I chatted with did an amazing job trying to help me. Grub hub didn’t go pick my order up and then canceled 1.5 hours later and then I called the store and the guy who helped me, got me order in and another driver ASAP and they left me a had written note on my food. That made my day so thank you!

Been through the drive through twice now and both times server was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast sandwiches are much better quality than Id anticipated. Coffee was good and green tea smoothie delicious! Now have a punch card as I anticipate many more visits!

I’ve never been inside the actual Cafe since I’ve only been here during COVID but the drive through is always fast and the coffee is better than Starbucks (better prices too).Plenty of accommodations for dairy alternatives

Only been here once, but I LOVED what the staff had recommended to me! Hoping to come back soon but I live all the way across town, so it’s generally very rarely I get to come here but I definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re not a huge Starbucks fan! They also give you chocolate covered coffee beans (I think they’re coffee beans) but they’re very yummy!

My favorite place for coffee and treats!

This spot used to be a KFC so I was not too thrilled when we agreed to meet another couple here. I was blown away by the tasty coffee, nice relaxed atmosphere and to be honest they were a little cheaper than Starbucks. Looking forward to going back for another vanilla mocha.

Three stars only for a reason, that lately they make late to hot, I have to wait 15 minutes before I can drink my coffee.

The coffee is great. Tastes really good, and the service was friendly. But 20 minues after ordering.. it is still a little bit too hot.

Delicious beverage. Different menu offerings than most basic drive through coffee stops. Very nice interior update from the previous Kentucky Fried that occupied the space.

I want to like this place, but it routinely has poor service. Today I ordered 16oz hot snowy mocha. Was handed 12oz. I asked about it and they quickly “remade” it. My new drink was cold, and basically appeared to be my 12oz poured into a new cup with more almond milk added. This is a $5 cup of coffee? I’m done giving this place more chances.

In my humble opinion great replacement for the Kentucky Fried Chicken store.Staff was attentive to my order got it right on the first time. Tables were clean and inviteing. All in all I good experience.

Nice inside. Asked if they had WiFi before ordering my drink to get some work done. Answer was yes and password is prominently displayed. Turned out the WiFi is completely dead. Frustrating!

I like it better than Starbucks. The customer service is always wonderful. They even give my two puppies some treats. They also never have the line that Starbucks does AND if the car line is long than they will come outside and take your order. This is definitely the place to go. Their mochas are similar to Starbucks but their plain coffee is much better. And of course they have a little stamp card with the 11th drink free. Wednesdays are double stamp days.

First time here and staff are absolutely delightful. Tasty coffee and lovely comforting tea. Id return just for the smiles :)

LIVE THEIR LOW CARB DRINK!! This is difficult to find when you dont consume carbs. I love their options.

First time in here. Really bad coffee. Ordered two lattes that tasted like warm (nonfat? yuck) watered down milk and thats it. Opened the lids immediately after they were made and not a dollop of foam in either, not sure your staff know what they are doing.

I love the Green Tea Smoothies there. I crave them so bad I go as often as I can. I have emailed the company and asked for a Human Bean to open in SE PDX! I have my fingers crossed!

Honestly the weakest americano I drank in my life. Do they give you the chocolate covered espresso bean to make you feel like your drinking real coffee.... watered down mess.

Its coffee fast food. The barista had no clue what a macchiato is. The cups are all to go and the limited baked goods are all packaged. The appearance is great and it is a very attractive conversion from a Kentucky Fried Chicken venue. However, the coffee is second-rate.

Be sure to repeat your order multiple times. Also, check for order accuracy before you leave the drive-thru window. Of the many places in Portland that we order food or coffee, this place is the most consistently inconsistent establishment we encounter in regards to order accuracy.

Love This coffee shop, freashly remodeled. The girls that work here are super nice and friendly, so far Ive only tried there smoothies which by the way are super yummy going to try there food next time I go in there.

Being as specific as I can. The barista did not listen. Very very simple order. Tempid not hot, add stevia. It was both too hot and no stevia. I even asked and she said oh I forgot. No other customers in the store so I dont know what happened.
