It was a great time spent at this place in happy hour, people were nice, an amazing view and quiet environment to be with friends or family.I definitely recommend this place to visit and relax for a couple hours. My recommendation as well, is the Deviled Eggs. Was so good.Great chef Daniel: Thanks!!Thanks to all staffing!
This is exactly what I am always looking for! Totally unique, beautiful, offering the heavenly food with the garden ambiance! The French chef is designing new creations daily and seasonally so you never know what they might have, but I am pretty sure its going to be delightful! The farm fresh produce thats picked each day and prepared each morning and served with a smile and looking picture perfect is beyond exciting for me! Not to mention the small selection yet large variety for me to choose from! So refreshing on every level! The server was totally adorable, knowledge, and awesome! I have already turned multiple family members onto it and look forward to returning any chance I get! One of the best restaurants in the area for service, food quality, and ambiance in my opinion!!! Then you can walk across the parking lot and shop in the giant nursery! Love it!! 💞*Weve been multiple times now and its just as superb and the 1st time 💓
Ive lived in Portland for decades and have driven by here dozens of times, and never knew this place existed until now. You must go check this place out for breakfast. Awesome coffee and farm fresh breakfast make this place a must try. As for plans, this place beats Portland Nursery and I thought that place was awesome.
Long lines and wait for cafe... no reservations so be prepared to wait for 60 to 90 minutes.Nursery itself is beautiful.Better idea is to order food online and then pickup and eat at any table outside.. rather than wait for dine in..Croissants are good.. coffee not tht impressive..
Cornell Farm is a place to grab a decent meal not a typical cafe size meal, but fulfilling nonetheless, and a chance to stroll the nursery of a wide array of plants. Its a cool place to bring a plant/garden lover. Prices on items could exceed a Home Depot or Lowes run, but there is something special about walking around Cornell Farm.
One of my favorite brunch/breakfast spots for a slower weekend day; the dishes are unique and flavorful, and not things you could easily make at home. The wait-staff is attentive and kind, and the atmosphere is homey and bright with fresh flowers and plants in cute vases and planters and gardening books spread across the mantle. After breakfast, a stroll through the plants and outdoor store is something I always enjoy--a gardeners delight! Highly recommend!
Our server Maya was the best and the food was very fresh and delicious. Will be back again...and bought some crocus bulbs while there to put in the ground.
Excellent coffee and chairs. Food is fresh and very good. Service is great
Some of my favorite breakfast and lunch food around. Fresh ingredients and even the standard items incorporate different flavors so they dont feel bland. Have yet to try their dinner or happy hour menu but I definitely will.
Awesome breakfast. Everything seemed freshly made. I could see the cook cutting fresh leeks for kitchen. The quiche was the best Ive had around here. This probably explains the slow service(why I didnt give it 5 stars). If you are in no hurry and want a really good breakfast made with fresh ingredients look boi further.. it is also located in a really beautiful garden/farm. Really lovely views from this little cafe! Will definitely be back.Oh I almost forgot the coffee drinks are perfect. Not too sweet. Just right!
Spectacular breakfast, great pastries, nice coffee.. Wonderful options for gardening. Really cool place.
Not busy at all but they werent seating people anymore. This was an hour before closing. No worries... But then your business hours need to reflect that.
I love Cornell farm!!! It’s an awesome place for food, hot chocolate and plants! The staff there are lovely, and very knowledgeable able when I ask question. It’s a bit on the pricey side so beware when you go there.
Good food, decent service, and very busy always so expect a wait. But their system is broken and their staff can be argumentative about it.Waited in line for a table, ate, paid. Decided I wanted a pastry to go so I walked in to get a pastry and was told to wait in the line outside. So I waited behind people who were waiting to be seated for indoor dining and ordering food to go. I just wanted a dang pastry after I got up from my table. This is equivalent to being at a restaurant and trying to order a beer from the bar after cashing out your tab. And being told to go wait in line outside with the people waiting for a table. Absolute nonsense. And when I told them it was awkward to have to do that they argued with me about it! What the heck! They even had the audacity to tell me I was cutting in line.Their saving grace was Betty. When she heard me complaining on the way to the car she stopped and asked what the problem was. She listened and assured me it would be dealt with appropriately. Thank goodness for Betty because I really like the food here and would like to visit again. Id avoid the place like the plague if it wasnt for her making me feel better on the way out.SOLUTION: Make sure your servers ask each table if theyd like a pastry or anything else before bringing the check.
Amazing grounds with fresh farm to table menu! A hidden gem!
Gorgeous nursery and cafe, lots of gorgeous plants. Prices for plants and food run are a little high but the ambiance is worth it. Food is good. Great staff, and coffee. Plenty of parking even on busy weekends.
Great food with seasonal dishes, friendly staff, and a pleasant farm atmosphere.
Apple turnover was lovely, but the marionberry tasted like oversugared jelly. Also, the turbinado topped with powdered sugar is just wayyy too much, it overpowers the homemade pastry.
Good food (amazing bacon) but had a very long wait and were not efficient. It took 10 minutes to even be acknowledged to ask for a table.
Nice environment but the staff is rude and unprofessional. Server was wearing dirty clothes while serving food. Not a kid friendly establishment. We won’t be back.
The grounds are beautiful, the food is good, mimosas were tasty, if expensive. I wish when they ran out of biscuits theyd had a better substitute than the surprise mixed grain toast with rye (or caraway?) seeds, which doesnt mix well with their delicious marionberry jam. This season the yellow jackets have been especially bad, and the two traps we could see didnt seem to be helping. We chose to remain on their beautiful patio and fight the yellow jackets. Overall, though, the good outweighed the bad. And, a nice place to take a stroll when youre done eating.
Amazing family owned farm. Never heard of this place before today. Saw it driving by and checked it out. I love how knowledgeable, friendly and helpful the staff are. Lots of organics. Every aspect of a yard and garden (flower or edible) are covered. They also have family events, gardening workshops, etc. Its not really close as we live on the other side of Portland, but were TOTALLY coming back for our yard and gardening needs.
Great food, very spotty service with only one other table in the dining room occupied. Sat inside due to cool weather but the doors were kept open so not real comfortable while dining
Delicious food but the weight is very long no matter what time you get there. Some folks just take out but their breakfast and lunches are really good and if you have to shop for plants then its not too bad but sometimes the weight can be 45 minutes to over an hour
The food was great and we enjoyed the huge variety of plants. We knew in advance what we were going to buy so selecting was easy.
Never knew this plant Nursery had a restaurant. Went there with a group of 5 at 11AM on a Sunday and was blown away with the brunch quality! We had the breakfast sandwich and the brisket scramble, both with over easy eggs on top. We have been looking for a more upscale place on the westside and this is definetely it!My wife had the all day rosè to drink and she wont stop talking about it! My chai was served in a big ol homestyle mug with a leaf drawn in the foam. Was a nice touch.
So cute! Every plant imaginable, and yummy food!
Today was my first visit here! This place is adorable. The staff is really friendly and the breakfast sandwich I had was delicious.
I just moved to a new neighborhood and a friend recommended Cornell Farms Cafe close by. They had Pumpkin Bread French Toast with comice pears, pecans, bavarian cream and a caramel sauce. It was incredibly rich-i would almost want to see this dish offered with slightly smaller portions on a dessert menu! Another tweak: the sliced pears were cold and crispy. It would have been much nicer if they’d been warmed and softened a bit.I also got a top-notch cappuccino! Great shot AND foam. Will definitely be back.
Delicious food in a flower and plant nursery. They are serious about covid safety. If you eat outside it could be quite cold depending in the weather.
Beaverton and SW Portland are lucky to have this new and wonderful cafe in operation. Its located in the old farm house that originated the Cornell Farm Nursery. The large front porch has beautiful seasonal displays that only a nursery could put together. The wonderful farm house has been renovated into a cafe where excellent coffee (Sleeping Monk!) and delectable breakfast and lunch goodies are prepared in their neat kitchen. I love the lattes and scones (deeeelicious!) and my wife loves their Americanos and muffins. The food, especially their soups, are worth getting seconds, but you dont need to ask for seconds because the original portions are large. And the menu changes monthly. The only drawback is that the cafe has become so popular that it is always crowded. And the main room (originally the living room) is not designed for people who seem to talk louder than is necessary. That is so annoying for those who come for a quiet meal or a quiet coffee. I give the Cafe four stars instead of five because of the loud and noisy room and patrons. However, when the weather is nice, it is perfect to sit out doors, either on the large front porch or the deck and patio in the back. By the way, the views of the nursery and the Tualatin Valley are beautiful. Conclusion: go to the wonderful Cornell Farm Cafe, enjoy their wonderful food and coffee, and hope that the crowds are quiet that day. Also, it would be nice if people knew they are expected to buss their own tables.
Delicious food, something for everyone on the menu. Bloody Marys are excellent and the Marion Berry hand pies sell out quickly so order some to go early to take home.
Very good bakery items, fresh made. Great coffee and tea. I always stop to grab something to drink while I peruse the plants.
This old house turned cafe offers food and drink you might find in a usual cafe, but is hand crafted and served in a warm inviting environment. Beer is served in bottles for an evening choice and hot chocolate for the kids after visiting the nursery on a cold day. This is a perfect place for meeting someone on the west side, or it could be your new favorite hangout if you live in the area.
This is my favorite date place! Coffee is great, donut holes on point, and I love how much variety there is for plant options! My roommates and I came here last week to get a christmas tree and found a perfect little 5 baby for our apartment. I have always been concerned about what happens to trees after the holidays and the Cornell Farm staff helped answer all my questions and told us about options for recycling trees! Will definitely be back for coffees and plant adopts.
Lovely garden setting and a wonderful menu, now be prepared to be assaulted by the staffs lack of training and inability to operate an efficient restaurant.
Really good food but I had to knock off a star for the prices. Lunch for 1 = $22! Had the chicken salad sandwich was a little on the bland side but the croissant was nice and flakey. Chicken and veggie soup was excellent. Will go back to try breakfast and the nursery alone is worth the trip. And make sure to check out the chickens!! They are super cool.Update- went back today and ordered the breakfast for lunch and it was excellent. Super fresh eggs and fruit, a biscuit that was kinda dry but the marionberry jam made up for it and the potatoes were yummy.
Second time here. Waited for 30 minutes for a drip coffee, iced latte, and avocado toast. When I received a hot latte and said something they just replied that’s what we have written down. I walked away without waiting for my avocado toast. Do better.
The cutest little cafe next to a gorgeous nursery! We had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated for brunch, but the time flew by as we browsed the large selection of plants/flowers/etc. Highly recommend coming on a nice, sunny day!!
Environment is beautiful every plant that you want is there had lavender latte and a cinnamon roll
Excellent food and drinks! Just a very small cafe so expect long wait times, Id recommend reserving a table when possible!
This place is very cute! I couldve spent hours here. The food is delicious, and strolling around the nursery was a good time:)
Sad we didnt get to try the food but the staff is so rude we had to just leave and go somewhere else. Really bad system they have for seating people, they could at least be kind about it.
Fantastic brunch spot, but come early as there will be a wait. Afterward, walk around the property to see the chickens and enjoy the plants!
Fantastic Breakfast! The bacon alone is incredible. Have been for breakfast or lunch here a number of times, and always a great experience. Very highly recommended.
Such a quaint little café with amazing food, pastries and atmosphere. And, its always fun to check in on the chickens in the coop, or walk around the nursery.
Amazing coffe/mimosas and food. We loved the chicken coop in the back and of course all of the plants. Left with full stomachs, a box of plants for our yard and smiles on our faces.
Great food and friendly staff. Strongly recommend 👌
Very nice garden spot to find plants that are well maintained..
The food is quite good and the atmosphere is charming. They have used the old farmhouse as their care and you can still see bits and pieces of the old design poking through. The prices are a bit high for what is on offer (order at the counter, bus your own table), but thats kind of a thing in Portland. Eat your meal on their patio and take a walk through the gardens afterward.
I want to come here every Sunday morning. Lovely. Absolutely lovely.
Soooooo cute I love the staff!! Surprisingly welcome for younger people. Expect a wait, they’re poppin.
Understaffed when we went on a Saturday morning.
The cafe is both bright and cozy. My latte and breakfast was tasty, and the pastries look yummy too - Ill have to try them next time!
Ive been here before and had an amazing experience, unfortunately this time it lacked the quality and taste that I appreciated last time. Not sure if Ill be returning...Wasnt happy with the menu, service, or food this time :( If youve recently made a change in management or kitchen staff I would review their work. Sad day. I hope this isnt the case from now on 😭Note: Food looked amazing but tasted gross wayyyy too much arugula..
The atmosphere and decor are great. The coffee and pasturies are not good at all. They are very expensive for what they are. The food is so so.
Amazing views and beautiful plants. A portland must see and do!
A great variety of plants to choose from and a pleasant atmosphere! I went on a busy Sunday and the knowledgeable staff was doing an excellent job wearing masks and meeting standards for social distancing. The wait was long but the experience was enjoyable. 5 stars!
Nice place with good coffee. Love to grab a cup and stroll through the nursery.
Love the food and the location, always a wait everytime you go so be prepared
Very complete nursery with knowledgeable staff and good selection, but a bit spendy. Can pay much less at other nurseries let alone at a big box store. Still worth checking out. They also have a nice cafe with plenty of scenic seating to enjoy the view of this well groomed nursery. Again, prices are quite high. Grande latte was $4.50, and some specialty donut was $5. Big cookie is only $2.75.
Very limited seating so plan to take your food to go. Still worth the trip because the food is always fantastic! Happy to support local businesses right now.
Everyone was so knowledgeable and nice there. Also its such a nice escape if your not shopping. Lovely gardens as well as lots of plants for sale. Definitely recommend
Delicious cafe
Beautiful location. Excellent food. Very friendly staff
Cornell Farm is my go to place for anything involving outdoor gardening. They have all different kinds of outdoor vegetation, from flowers and veggies, to trees and shrubs. Also the cafe on the property has amazing food and beverages including coffee and bottled beer. Dont forget to check out the back patio area which is also wheelchair accessable.
Nice little charming cafe inside the Cornell farm area. Place your order upfront and then find inside or outdoor or patio seating. The menu is on the smaller side but with varied options of soups, salads and sandwiches etc and of course, tea, coffee etc. All our food was delicately prepared and delicious. They bring your food to you and then you bus your table yourself on your way out. The kitchen closes a few hours before the farm itself, so be sure to call and check before coming in.
Everything is made in house and is very fresh! Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Had the Blueberry Thyme Champagne Smash.....delicious- only wish it was bigger!!!! Everyones breakfast was fantastic. In old farmhouse.....Cozy feel. Lots of outdoor seating options available, too. Baked goods were really good. Had the bacon and cheese scone - delicious!
