One of my favorite PDX spots. Neighbourhood feel and connected to an awesome furniture shop. Heart coffee and good cold brew.

Maybe my new favorite sit down spot. Large spaces; no crowded or squished seats. A lot of workers in the building who seem to be regulars or just hanging out.I know I should’ve tried the stroopwaffels, as that’s what they make in house (pastries are from the Bakehouse) but I wasn’t in the mood. Tried a cranberry bran muffin and - best of all - a stroop steamer. Steamed milk with the cinnamon syrup that they put in the stroopwaffels. New favorite steamer flavor!Worked from 7-9 and it stayed average busy but never felt too crowded or loud. I’d love to come back!

Good stroop wafles, but needs more sauce. There was only a tiny amount that didnt even go to the edge of the waffle. Coffee was amazing, so good.

3 stars for the honey related coffees and stroopwaffles, 2 stars missing because of the location and how confusing the menus are. The menu will say something like coffee + milk or coffee + milk + cocoa, but when you try to order that, the staff will be like you mean you want a latte or mocha? like we are stupid... didnt really appreciate that.

Just when you think Portland cant possibly accommodate another coffee shop, Prince carved out a niche for itself with a pleasant Northern European vibe. They make their own syrups, pull a fantastic shot, and of course, serve stroopwafels, a caramel/butter/cinnamon delight. Get yourself the anjismelk latte and a stroopwafel and watch the world whirl by from the massive window seat.

Im from Seattle where you cant swing a dead cat without hitting an excellent-even-by-Seattle-standards coffee house and have been generally underwhelmed with Portland coffee houses. Prince Coffee pulls the best shot of espresso Ive ever tasted, hands down. The baristas are friendly and not pretentious, and Ive had some very nice chats with the staff during my visits. The menu is simple; theyre not faffing around with sprinkles and whipped cream. This is serious coffee, Portland.

Quaint, unpretentious, tucked away in a Portland that should be left as is. Friendly staff, and coffee so frivolous you dont need to add cream to it. Try the cold brew, seems like a basic choice, but it is smooth tasting and youll want more than you should be allowed to drink in a day.

This is a great coffee shop. Very low-key and unpretentious. They source their coffee from Heart, and flair it up with their own special stroopwafel jam that goes into their lattes. A stroopwafel and stroop latte is quite lush.I wouldnt linger too long in the place as it can feel a bit cold. Maybe for working, but not to socialize. Thats my only gripe about this place - its not the type of shop that I can spend too much time relaxing at.A great coffee, and friendly staff. Whats not to like?

Im always on the look out for coffee shops in N/NE Portland and Prince Coffee has been on my to visit list for a while. I finally made it there this morning and was not disappointed. Im not a coffee person so I opted for a hot chocolate. I refrained myself from getting a stroopwafel but might not have as much willpower next time Ill stop by (because I definitely will). The decor is stunning (I particularly liked their partnership with my favorite plant shop Solabee) and the barista was the nicest (he knew almost everyone who came in and their favorite order). I cant wait to become a regular and get the same treatment.

Great coffee and atmosphere tucked away in Kenton. The espresso was very rich and not sour like a lot of coffee in Portland. I couldnt decide from the delicious looking baked offerings so it was suggested that I try the peach hand pie and the butter and cheese baguette. I had the baguette and it was amazing for such a simple thing. The little stroopwaffels are good too if you like sweet things in the morning. The seating area only holds about 15 people, but its laid out well and is clean and cozy. May not be a good bet for working remotely if theyre busy, but there are a couple of easily accesible outlets and the music is chill and not distracting. Most of the customers seemed to be travellers hopping off of I-5 and neighborhood folks dropping in to grab a coffee to go on their way to work. The lone barista engaged everyone in interesting, friendly conversation while quickly preparing drinks and making stroopwafels. The kind of place where they remember all of the regulars preferences and pick up conversation threads from day to day. A few people hung out just to chat with the barista until their coffee was finished.
