Fast friendly service. Coffee is always delicious and there baked goods are usually awesome, when they arent sold out. Line can get a little ridiculous at times, but does offer a walkup window if lines too long.

Good coffee and creative stuff. I ordered pumpkin spice hot coffee with oat milk, half sweet and its really half sweet. Good job 👍🏻 Also quick service.

I think its a good idea to go to any other espresso stand than this place, because I have a drink to order from the menu presented $5.60 and the stuckup baristas are not familiar with it? How are you asking for 5.60 but charging me 7.20? Acting confused and looking it up on their little palmpilot, but I correct the actual drink I ordered and shes like yeah yeah yeah duh I know... Rip offs

I stop by almost everyday on my way to work.. some days its in and out no problem.. today I waited 15 min the the line for my order.. some consistency would be nice, somedays they have someone get orders when there is no line someday they have someone out getting orders when there is a line..

Line can be a bit long but its worth the wait

Got to love their coffee this location is a tight on the corner its busy time sometimes and leaves you out in the street waiting to go through the line drive up

The other day i was introduced to blackrock n loved the Horchata Breve so i tried to order it again at work through door dash. I got a barely sweetened mocha with no receipt rather than a Horchata Breve, even put down to change it to a chai if unavailable.. i dont know if its because i got a bad driver who switched it or the order was just thrown together.. but its kinda upsetting, i desperately needed this pickme up n now its just made me feel bitter

All the people that work here are very nice and patient. No matter how many times I drive up to the window and dont know what to order and mull it over for 5 mins... Poor people behind me, probably just want a small black drip coffee 😂

Worst experience!! We were trying to order coffee through drive through, But the stuff were chatting with their friends by the window and never wanted to take our order. Worst customer service ever!

The coffee tasted burnt. I know for many they like that type of flavor but I hate it, the service was good the server was nice. I wont go back becuznof the burnt flavor and way to strong but if you like that in a coffee then this is a place to go.

Employees were great, theyre upbeat and welcoming. The Gummy Bear is delicious a must try if you havent had it made with Blue Raspberry, White Chocolate, and Green Apple. I highly recommend this location

Argh. From their photos, I thought this was a sit-down coffee house. I didnt realize it was to-go when I asked a friend to meet me there.

When asked for no ice in a 16 oz cup they gave me a 16 oz cup with 14 oz of drink. poor business from my perspective.

Sat in line for 5 minutes today thinking it would be slow from the snow, then had a young man come out and tell the last two cars in line-including me-that they didn’t have enough employees to serve us but yet could serve the first three cars in line...you’d think a small business would have enough general customer service knowledge to not let people sit in their line before saying they can’t serve you; pure laziness and horrible management. Good thing they have a product that sells itself or this business would be done.

So service was outstanding. Very sweet. The coffee not so much. I asked for extra flavor thinking it would help just in case but it was really bitter and not at all vanilla or cinnamon and delicious. The caramel one we got was the same. Not sure if its normal but yeah.... Just not sure lol

I usually do not have a problem with this location, but this morning, i asked for a sugar free drink, i even verified that they could do it sugar free. What i received was not sugar free at all. I am pregnant and have diabetes, had i been type 1, they could have hospitalized me, and my baby could die.

Some of the best service Ive received. I asked for a special order (cinnamon, honey, oat milk latte) and they not only were able to accommodate it but it came out crazy fast and tasted AMAZING! I try ordering this drink a lot and only about 2/10 coffee shops ever get it right so Im super impressed and highly recommend. Also, very reasonable prices!

This morning I drove up for my coffee and got the most wonderful surprise. The lovely girls at this location gave me a personal card for the holidays. I felt like a queen to be presented with such a meaningful gift. Lots of places brag about their good service but nobody beats the girls at Black Rock on Lombard. Angels dispensing Portlands best coffee with a smile. Everyone should stop here for a bit of morning joy.

I love black rocks breves with sugar free vanilla. Favorite coffee hands down. The girl there today was by herself with a line of cars out of the parking lot but she was staying calm and handled it very well. She earned a $10 tip from us.

This branch was the first time I had Black Rock and it was the branch that made me switch over from every other coffee chain. They dont make it with too much espresso but they also they dont make it overly sweet so I can still drink it even after the ice has melted into it. Staff was friendly and didnt make remarks when I didnt know what on earth I was doing. Highly recommend.

SLOOOOOW drive through. The coffee is well priced and good most of the time however. Would give 5 stars if I didnt have to wait in line for 30 min backed into the street.

I’m not gonna lie, BLACK ROCK COFFEE is my favorite place to visit when I need a wake up call.I enjoyed STARBUCKS & DUTCH BROS in the past but the drinks here are far better tasting to me.Every BLACK ROCK COFFEE I’ve visited has great, friendly staff.Highly recommend.

Im sad the Frozen Charcoal Mocha is gone though! Hope they can bring it back and possibly put on their permanent menu. Because when I think of black rock I think charcoal. Just a thought. I tell all my friends about Black Rock a lot of people Im surprised dont know that theyre there on Lombard and Vancouver in Portland Oregon.I think there was one time I was disappointed because I got the wrong milk. but they still deserve a 5 stars the girls are fabulous theyre always kind and smiling and professional and happy and seem to love their work.the other day I gave my order and by the time they gave me back my credit card my order was filled thats amazing. Ordered a quad shot caramel mocha and it was all sugar and caramel and no coffee. The person i was with ordered a quad shot hazelnut latte with a specific amount of pumps of flavoring. They had to make her drink three or four times. Finally we asked for our money back which it took all three of them to figure out. Ridiculous. Ill never go to this location again!

By far the most fancy coffee experience that Ive ever had. I cant stop raving about their huge leather chairs, fireplace, and wonderful layout of their bar. I was a bit surprised that there werent more people there enjoying the atmosphere but even then it was still quiet. Its a great place to work and to get things done in peace.

They have then XL wich i have only found her and one other coffee place . kids drinks . smoothies . snacks . also they have dairy free milks and i believe sugar free or substitutions. But the reason this place gets stars is because when I go here and get anything of any price or amounts these.baristas act like im important people . to them, as if im there long lost friend they have waited forever to see, like im better then gold, like im platinum, the best you can get. That is how all should be treated . anywhere but Unfortanitly That is NOT how it is barely any where. So here is 5 stars to you Black Rock on. Vancouver and lombard in the Northside of portland OR.

Ive come to this Black Rock Coffee location twice now and both times there has been coffee grounds in my coffee... pretty dissapointing.. Dutch brothers is by far better tasting, better priced and you get a good amount of coffee for your buck! I even like the taste and price of McDonalds coffees better.
